Fact 1️⃣ - The right way to pronounce ukulele is "oo-koo-lay-lay" not "you-ka-lay-lee". Fact 2️⃣ - The ukulele was introduced in the #19thCentury in Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants from Madeira. Fact 3️⃣ - It is a variation of the Portuguese instrument "#TheMachete". Fact 4️⃣ - Initially, ukuleles were not for general people. They were an indication of the #HawaiianRoyals. Fact 5️⃣ - Eminent space traveler #NeilArmstrong had an incredible enthusiasm for playing the ukulele. Fact 6️⃣ - #WarrenBuffett the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway is also a ukulele player. Fact 7️⃣ - In the early days, the ukulele strings were created from cat or sheep gut by Hawaiians. They aren’t made that way anymore. The modern ukuleles come with #nylon strings.
