Let's think about this logically:

The only 2 instances Macaque would meet Aigou would either be inside or outside of City Hall (obviously). But considering how much it seems like Aigou doesn't have much of a life outside of work, Macaque's supposed best chance of ever meeting Aigou would be in City Hall. But why would Macaque even go to City Hall? What reason could be possibly be enough for Macaque to go out of his way to go to City Hall? Whatever you are thinking, I'm almost sure that the odds of this reason becoming a reason in the first place is unlikely.

The same goes for Xiuying. Except, she's more or less out in the wild. And by that, never in one spot in the city for too long. Would Macaque and Xiuying ever meet? They probably already have. But I do not believe either of them would have acknowledged the others existence. The reasons for them to acknowledge each other are also quite limited.

In other words, what I have just written here in this post is just a bunch of bull crap and you might as well just wait and see what happens XDDDD.

I do not like how Diego is written for a lot of S2 and S3, I think his facets have progressively been simplified in a way that is frustrating, BUT. I am very interested in the... negative? positive? simultaneously both? charactacter development of Diego going from "my body is a temple" @ Klaus' struggle with addiction to carrying a flask which he uses as a means to deal with emotional distress AND being fine with offering it to someone else when they're in distress.

Not saying Diego didn't drink before, I think he probably did, but more as a social thing or a night cap or physical pain or literally anything else other than "I'm sad and hurting".

On the one hand, I feel like Diego gets his siblings a little more now. On the other hand, it feels a little like giving up in the guise of loosening up. Fair enough, all things considered.

Idk, something to explore and roll around in my hands. It's not the worst thing he could do, and tbh I have the most faith in Diego out of all of the Academy in terms of self-discipline, actually, ignoring that the bar is low lmao so I don't think becoming dependent is an issue for him in the same way it could be an issue for the others, but it makes me raise my brows.
