DC X DP PROMPT #11

Under some erroneous conditions, Vlad has become a contractor for the Justice League. It would be fine if Vlad Masters was the JL contact, but no, Plasmius has landed the gig. Somehow the vampire supervillain look didn't throw them off (he swears he never had to overshadow anyone, either)

This is not the main issue as of, though. The main issue is Danny. Not that Danny is ever really an issue, it's more of what happeneds to Danny that's a problem. Well - Dannys.

The three of them were out, minding their own business when some stray defecto GiW agents came out of nowhere. This was no longer supposed to be an issue. With Vlad having connections to the JL the GiW had been officially disbanded and their actions made illegal. This obviously did not stop some of the organization's former members.

Anyway, the Dannys were out bonding, typical sibling activities (no Dan, arson does not count. Yes, we can brawl though) when some rogue GiW agents fresh out of government-backed work caught them in the unawares. This would normally be a nonissue but these particular agents had managed to get their hands on some thought to be destroyed Fenton prototypes.

These agents had managed to capture the trio. Now, they had only held the Danny's for less than a day, but give an inch take a mile. Jack and Maddie had busted into the hodgepodge setup, guns blazing, Vlad not far behind. The damage was already done though. Jordan and Danielle were mostly just banged up, a little worse for wear, but no one was melting. It was Danny that was having issues.

Danny seemed to be the major target of the former agents ire. They had managed to get to his core. This damage wasn't irreversible, from what Frostbite had told them, but it was detrimental to the young ghost. He was still developing, this was simply not good for the Great One's health!

Through careful consideration, it was decided that in order to heal from this, Danny would be better off retreating into his core for this. He had already started the process of doing so in the short time they had been in the Far Frozen. Normally, when one of the Dannys would retreat into their core they would be placed under careful watch by the family, but with Danny's core being damaged the call was made that he would need to be carried.

Nearly everyone had volunteered to do such, all were turned down for various reasons. Jordan and Danielle were still injured (and Dani still had a perpetuity to melt at times). Jack and Maddie were denied on the fact that having a leaking source of ectoplasm would be a detrament to their own health, regardless of how liminal they were from years of constant exposure. In the end, the job fell on Vlad. No one was really thrilled with this (besides the man himself) but Frostbite insisted he would be the best fit for the situation. His human side would nourish Danny's and his ghost half would supply him with ample Ecto for proper healing.

Vlad was ecstatic, especially to tell the League that he would be taking maternity leave.

saw a video about 2 player ttrpgs and one of them was like "this one's about a pretend marriage" and i was like oh? and i looked it up on itch (eyes on the prize, fyi) and it's 50% as of right now and i was like OH? and i bought it immediately & ive read most of it and i am a big fan. and i KNOW that i have friends who would have fun playing it (it's a 2 player or 4 player game; the 4 player variant has 2 fake couples) but asking them is going to be so cringe. yeah we're gonna make up people and pretend to be them and then pretend to pretend to get married and the characters when they start their pretending they're gonna be like "oh we don't have any romantic feelings towards each other this is strictly plot" but then (get this) they will start to develop real feelings for each other. and we're gonna act it out together and pretend to be them but don't worry! we have no romantic feelings towards one another. this is strictly plot. when WE (irl) pretend to be in love it's actually platonic, unlike the people who we are pretending to be to each other. so do you have like 2-5 hours you wanna dedicate to that next week

and the worst part is that's 100% what i want. like i have roleplayed romance before with friends it is literally not a big deal because the whole point of roleplay is that the character ISN'T you. but with a fake relationship the crushing weight of dramatic irony hovers behind me

Was thinking about how I would write a Suicide Squad book if I got the chance to post (hypothetical) Absolute Power and like... I would totally rock this guys

Won't go totally into it here I don't think because time and also feeling pumped about the idea so may write something for it (which I have an AWFUL track record for finishing, but also if current Waller appearances piss me off enough who knows) but anyways it would have Amanda Waller and Ben Turner (Bronze Tiger) as dueteragonists, (especially for the first few arcs, although moving to a greater Waller focus [at least for a bit] around issue 10? 15? When she really starts to do things). Anyways the main story (at least at the beginning) would follow Ben Turner as he leads the squad both in the field and at home (essentially acting as the "Waller" along with his normal field leader duties) while secretly having Waller herself in residence at Belle Reve pretending to be a prisoner.

Early issues would focus on Ben saving the world (and keeping the squad in check) while also struggling to hide Waller from the government, heroes, and the rest of Belle Reve (save an accomplice or two). This of course works great, until it doesn't

#not sure what the full squad setup would be here but on the more administrative side you would have john economos returning as belle reve #warden from the 87 series (with a focus on 'hey! this guy is corrupt!' in both a loser and maybe a threatening way) #and richard dragon i think. because ben will be under a lot of stress and should have a trusted friend there #and also for character reasons of course. yay character development!!!!! #richard would only be around for the first few arcs though like even before waller gets out of her cell hes gone #mainly i need him there to prompt a realization and some development for ben #also for when either shiva and/or cain shows up. because i love drama (and the kung fu trio <3) #there would be a justice for carolyn wu san moment bc i love her. but also like gap between what someone 'deserves' and what you could give #and the kind of person your loved one and you want yourself to be #(yeah ben spares cain's life. breaks some bones but yeah) #anyways eventually amanda gets found out. which ofc causes PROBLEMS. but at least it means she gets to do things in the plot and be all #waller like as opposed to being waller still but mainly focusing like character stuff. offering advice. small scale conflicts. near misses #w being found out etc. #but yeah this idea is very dear to me #amanda waller #ben turner #suicide squad #swishy aus #blah

AfO is the big bad of this au, but he might never show up in person outside of flashbacks. unless i write a sequel, but looking at the speed of my progress right now, I'd be hitting my thirties by that time

so basically AfO was a decorated scientist, but he secretly snatched up all these kids to experiment on, and KUR0G1R1 was one of the first ones. when All Might and the Galactic Federation found out about what he'd been doing, AfO (and the Doctor) ordered KUR0G1R1 into taking the fall for them, so he's the one who was arrested.

what follows is essentially the Jumba and Pleakley plotline from Lilo and Stitch, except with him and Mic

he's also genuinely concerned about all the experiments that escaped and are fending for themselves right now, but he was mainly in charge of 70MUR4 (who is traveling around with D4B1 and putting together a motley crew of space pirates)

#how dare they bring him into the season so late #his character is 100 times more interesting than the any of the cushings #they could have done so much more with him than just being ally's follower #he's what saved this season for me tbh #i love how the rest of the bizarros are clearly opposites of their earth-prime counterparts #like bizarro and jor-el are nothing like clark and jordan #but jon-el and jon are less opposites and more copies of each other that turned out differently because of the families they grew up in #not completely different though since jon is starting to adopt jon-el's views and even attitude and personality #which is something that didn't happen to clark when bizarro was around #which is so interesting to me!! #i wish we could have gotten jon-el earlier in the season #so there could have been more conflict between him and jon instead of that one scene #their relationship could have been much more complex and just straight up heartbreaking #than 'my evil doppelgänger is trying to merge with me' #only if they gave more of the season to jon's story instead of focusing almost solely on cushing drama #even jordan's story this season mainly revolves around the cushings because of sarah #i don't know how you can introduce jon-el then just ignore him to give the cushings all the attention #like what the actual fuck #seriously #they'd rather write about a dysfunctional family made up of the worst people in the show #than a kid with the powers of a god #but the kid is a version of jon so i guess that's why they're ignoring him #superman and lois #jonathan kent #jon-el

Been meaning to ask for a long time now... what C-Dramas are Ran most likely to be into?

so IDK why, because I dropped it like 10 episodes in, but my knee-jerk reaction was this fantasy show called Ashes of Love. My one RL friend who was obsessed with it watched all 70 episodes mainly on the basis of "ooh, the leading guy's so hot." But it's also a sappy love story and action-adventure story set in a fantasy world with immortals and dragons and whatnot.

Otherwise, I think she'd also be into the "palace intrigue" genre, like The Legend of Zhen Huan and Rise of the Phoenixes. (Haven't watched either of those yet, but LZH is on my list. Phoenixes I dropped.)

And I'm gonna give her Nirvana in Fire, because I think Ran has taste, hahaha.

#real talk though #i think ran would mainly be into sappy romances given her canonical taste #maybe with a sprinkling of action-adventure #no suspense or horror #the problem with c-drama romances is that they tend to have toxic gender dynamics #and i can't see her seeking that out in her escapism #BL tends to have less of the toxic gender stuff #but they tend to have SAD endings #and not a lot of female characters #so romantic period stuff it is!
