“Our Timster’s moving up in the world!” Musa interjected, raising her glass to the absent specialist.

“So what is this big project about, anyway?” Stella asked. “It must be something major if it’s council business.”

“I can’t say.”

“Come on, Tec! We promise not to tell anyone!”

“It’s classified information. He’s not allowed to discuss matters regarding the project with anyone not associated with it.”

“He told you!”

“I’m associated with it.”

Julia soll bei Casting eine Liebeserklärung vortragen. Ist aber natürlich nur fürs Casting, da hatte Noah sicher überhaupt keinen Hintergedanken als er sich Colin ins Castingteam geholt hat /s. Freddy heißt eigentlich Jimmy und ist sieben Jahre alt. Fun Fact: Er spielt auch in in der Kika Sendung Team Timster mit.

Chung und Noah gehen mit Freddy spazieren. Hm, ich glaube das könnte aus der Folge sein, wo Noah und Colin beide über ihre Gefühle nachdenken, nachdem "etwas passiert, was sie beide und ihre Freundschaft völlig aus der Bahn wirft". Vielleicht wird Chung so eine Art Mentor für Noah, er ist ja mit einem Mann verheiratet und daher quasi Experte bei dem Thema. Und dann würde auch Chungs Queerness etwas besser entwickelt werden, als ständig nur seinen Ehemann zu erwähnen.

Die Bilder von Chiara werden von der Künstlerin Funky gemalt. Sie gibt Tipps, wie man Augen im Manga-Stil malen kann a.k.a der einzige Stil, in dem ich Gesichter malen kann. Und wenn wir schon beim Thema "Kunst lernen mit Schloss Einstein" sind: Das offizielle Cast-Bild zur 26. Staffel ist sehr gut, um Posen zeichen zu üben.

Joyce stellt ein Video von Io online, das anscheinend Hasskommentare anzieht. Io will, dass Joyce das Video wieder löscht, aber Joyce ist dagegen. Oh, ich glaube das könnte diese Story über Cultural Appropiation und Othering sein, die im Artikel zum Sensitivity Reading erwähnt wurde.

Joyce kriegt ein Angebot von einer Schule in Japan und muss sich entscheiden, ob sie es annimmt oder nicht.

Klingt bisher so, als würde sich das gute Niveau dieser Staffel auch weiterhin forsetzten. Ich bin gespannt.

Dear Avery,

In my pickleball sessions, I tend to be the guy that doesn’t get too many balls hit to me, likely due to the fact that I don’t dink very well but am very comfortable driving the ball due to a lifetime as a tennis player. While this doesn’t bother me (much), and I know this is just the reality of doubles in tennis and pickleball, I find that often my partner in these situations not only hits the 3 in 4 balls that are coming to their side but often reaches across and hits the rare ball that finally comes my way. At one point I reached the point where I said something.  I told the person that since they get ¾ of the balls that aren’t serves or returns, they should at least let me hit the balls that are coming to my side.  They seemed a bit peeved.

Is there any good way of telling a doubles partner to let me actually hit the shots I can reach since I get so few balls?

Dear Timster,

Well Timster, I am presuming that it isn’t just that you drive the ball, but that there is likely a sizable gap between your skill level and that of your partner.  So at least you have that going for you to balance out your obvious narcissistic personality disorder.  

I think you got bad luck with who you finally confronted about the disparity in ball distribution.  Most players, even beginners, understand that standard strategy dictates that teams hit to the weaker player.  But some beginners have their brains full just trying to hit the ball, so being sensitive to ball distribution isn’t picked up by their cognitive radar, nor being aware of which balls are their partner’s.  So resist your natural tendencies and be patient.  ‘It is what it is’ kind of thing. 

Of course at the advanced level, poaching is not just good strategy, it is part and parcel of advanced strategy.  Clearly this is not the case here.

My opinion is let this one alone.  Smile when someone jacks your ball even though they are the one doing all the playing.  Consider it a good time to take a nap.  Think of them as an excited toddler that knows not what they do because of sheer excitement and joy at playing this new game.  Let them enjoy their journey, they will learn. If this continues to bother you, seek competition that is more your level and perhaps some medication for that personality disorder.
