Okay, Okay, cyberpunk au: I admit I would laugh – with respect! – if one of the sleeping Assassins was Bayek. Like, damn, the emotional and intellectual whiplash of waking up not in who knows how many years before Christ, but very, very five thousand years later, far away from Egypt, with running water, cures for most if not all diseases that would kill a medjay, let alone a civilian, and the gods know what the fuck is most of that shit around. Like, five stages of grief right there.
Damn, this was more distressed than I thought it would be 😶
Addition from @ma-du:
Also, if there's any nightclub scene in cyberpunk au, I bet Ezio would be serving cunts to the sound of this:
==============
Additions by teecup
Ezio would definitely enjoy that song and would also use it to annoy the Templars by hacking their sound system (or if they have ‘upgraded’ hearing, directly hacking that) and playing that in full blast.
The Cyberpunk AU this is connected to.
I believe you will be happy to know that, yes, Bayek is one of the sleeping Assassins. To be more exact, the initial list is:
Altaïr
Ezio
Ratonhnhaké:ton
Edward
Arno
Jacob
Evie
Bayek
Amunet
So we’ll also see Amunet’s reaction to both the world they are in and the state of the Brotherhood.
Not to mention, there are rumors that the Assassins are in hiding somewhere in the city as well.
To be more exact, it seems like the Brotherhood gave full authority to this Elijah but he ‘disappeared’ (Altaïr and the others believe he died or, if he is still alive, he was most probably captured by Abstergo.
So they were whispers of terrorists being an eyesore to Abstergo, hiding in the shadows and are supposedly cold-blooded murderers.
There seemed to be some discrepancies though…
Because some say the leader of these terrorists is named Hastings.
Others think it’s Crane.
There are those who believe ‘Crane’ is a codename.
But then some say the leader’s codename is…
‘Loki’.
(Eivor and Kassandra are not part of the list because there is another ‘facility’ that are being used by the Assassin as their headquarters. It’s supposedly a ‘backup’ facility in case the main facility fails or Altaïr and the others fail. The person named ‘Loki’ made a deal with Elijah, to keep the Assassins safe and to push them into going on a suicidal mission to retrieve Desmond’s body if Altaïr and the others fail. Eivor and Kassandra are meant to be the others replacement if they fail)

anyways this is tumblr and I actually do live in the wild west of America. I WILL talk about my protocreed au
So, to start off, Alex sees Desmond and Elijah while he's grabbing something at the university of New York in Manhattan, and actually catches a glimpse of Desmond eating a glass plate and a metal cup. He's so fucking confused and fascinated that he starts stalking him out of a scientific desire to study him.
Why is Desmond eating glass and metal you may ask? He is a piece of eden and his body needs nutrients in order to sustain itself. More specifically, he's three apples. Altaïr's apple was his 'body' which is why he looks so much like him, Ezio's apple was the 'voice' that allows him to properly speak to people through time, Connor and Aveline had the 'brain' apple which allows them to directly configure and control his abilities and memory.
Yes, Aveline and Connor get married in this AU. It should've happened in canon, and just bc ubi decided to drop their storyline, it doesn't mean I have to.
So, back on track, Elijah and Desmond are traveling together bc Desmond was absolutely ecstatic to learn he was having a child, and they decided to go to Manhattan after the 'Daniel incident' in Vermont. Alex manages to track Desmond down after two months working at Bad Weather and decides to just. Watch him.
And also get into a shit ton of bar fights, bc you can't tell me that Alex wasn't using his fighting moves in game before everything happened, you can't.
Most of the other employees that work at Bad Weather don't want to deal with Alex because, as previously stated he gets into a lot a bar fights and actually manages to win them, and Desmond is a good enough fighter that he can handle him. The interesting part is that Alex never tries to involve Desmond in his fights but he does let him pull him off people without attacking, like he would attack other bartenders, so they just let Desmond handle him.
Desmond is...conflicted on Alex bc on one hand, the man is stalking him and is persistent about it too, but also doesn't run away screaming when he realizes that Alex has seen him eating food that shouldn't be consumable by humans and will break a bunch of shit so people don't realize why so many dishes go missing in a week. But on the other hand, Alex is quite open about wanting to pin him to a lab table and seeing what makes him tick, which is fucking creepy. But he also??? Fights off any Abstergo agents when they're watching him in the bar (and later on he discreetly kills them) so its a really fucking mixed bag for Desmond.
This is kinda long. I'll stop here, but like I wanted there to be a reason Alex is so interested in Desmond before and after his death and rebirth, and I kinda wanted to lean into the fact that Dr. Mercer was absolutely a freak.

Terrible Fic Idea #85: The Old Guard, but make it Assassin's Creed
My brother has always been a big fan of Assassin's Creed, but I never gave the games a shot until recently, when it seemed a natural progression from all the Crusades research I've been doing for The Old Guard fic I want to write but probably never will. Once I realized Isu bullshit could be a perfect explanation for TOG immortality, this (incredibly self-indulgent) crossover was born.
Or: What if Merrick Pharmaceuticals was a competitor of Abstergo Industries?
Just imagine it:
Pharmaceutical research is an expensive, cut-throat business. Viagra is a $2 billion dollar a year industry. Humira, the blockbuster drug of 2018, sold nearly $20 billion in the US alone. So I imagine if you're a pharmaceutical CEO of limited morals and great ambition, it might seem like a better idea to steal ideas from your competitor who seems to hit it out of the ballpark every time instead of pouring billions of dollars into what may turn out to be an unfruitful venture.
Enter Hugh Merrick, father of Steve Merrick and founder of Merrick Pharmaceuticals. Needing a blockbuster and desperate to get one over on Abstergo, he hires a hacker to slip into Abstergo's servers and find him the ripest, juiciest plum they can sometime in the early 2000s, before the (modern) events of the games or the 2019 TOG movie.
The hacker comes back with the schematics for the Animus.
The idea of genetic memories seems absurd, but Hugh figures that if Abstergo has been using the Animus since the 1980s to get ahead, there's no reason he can't do it too - all he needs is a single Piece of Eden and all his problems are solved.
Hugh builds the Animus and has the hacker go back into Abstergo's systems looking for a candidate to put into it. But finding someone with Assassin blood seems dangerous - they're likely to be an assassin too and could be dangerous if they try to escape, plus the Templars killed off nearly all of them. Templar descendants are out because most are Templars themselves and if Hugh's plan is to succeed he heeds to stay off their radar for as long as possible.
The hacker returns with Abstergo's list of people who may be useful if all other avenues fail. It contains a list of people who were peripherally involved during the invents that interest them - mainly high-ranking courtiers close to Popes Alexander VI and Julius II - and their descendants. They might know things about events of Ezio's time.
Enter Joe and Nicky.
For the past few hundred years, their primary cover identities involve being the children or grandchildren of their previous cover story, all the way back to their first deaths. There are fewer questions and you get to "inherit" all your old stuff.
This method has worked quite well for them - until Merrick learns that their "ancestors" were part of the court of Pope Julius II from 1497 (when he was still Bishop of Ostia) until his death in 1513. Nicky was his private secretary, Joe was a court painter, and contemporary sources suggest they were highly placed enough to know whatever Pope Julius II knew about Ezio's apple. Such as where Ezio might have hidden it.
It's not an unreasonable plan, except for the pesky fact of Joe and Nicky's immortality. After all, the animus is designed to draw on genetic memory, not the subject's own memories. And even if it can be used to view memories laid down in their own genes 500 years ago - which is doubtful, - there's a high likelihood of it killing them - and if Hugh were to learn of their immortality, things would only get worse for them. But they have little choice once they're captured and brought to Hugh's secret research bunker somewhere north of Inverness.
What follows is a largely self-indulgent stroll through the more interesting episodes of Joe and Nicky's life together.
Nicky's first go in the animus is a jumbled, confused mess as Hugh's tech minion learns the ropes as she goes. Nicky ends up hopscotching through his early memories - for instance, a memory where he's learning how to use a sword as a young squire jumps to him using the same move during the Siege of Jerusalem. That strand of memory continues on for a bit until another interaction gets him sent into the memory of another battle/training session/conversation with the person in question and so on.
Joe's first time in the animus goes a little better, as Hugh realizes that his minion needs to learn how to program the animus before they put their most valuable subject into it, and so let's her learn with Joe. Hugh's minion (who is really beginning to regret taking this job) succeeds, pulling Joe into the genetic memory of one of his ancestors: al-Kahina, an Amazigh religious and military leader who led indigenous resistance to the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb. There should be suggestions of a Sword of Eden somewhere in events, but since they don't share Precursor knowledge, Hugh's not interested in letting the memory play out.
Nicky's second session gets them to the time period they want, but his memories have next to nothing to do with the PoE. The same holds true for Joe, when his second session puts him through his POV of that time period. And though Hugh has his minion take them up and down every memory of that time period searching for the smallest hint of anything that might point them in the right direction, there's nothing to find.
Or, rather: Nicky and Joe did meet Ezio once or twice, in waiting rooms or reception areas or the like, but they spent that time talking about art, or the weather, or philosophy - nothing about politics, or Ezio's travels, or PoEs at all.
Otherwise, most of Nicky and Joe's memories of early 16th century Rome involve Joe's rivalry with Michelangelo, who among other things persisted in flirting with Nicky even after he made it clear he wasn't interested. (Joe was, among other things, responsible for getting Michelangelo the commission for David in Florence to get him out of Rome and away from Nicky.)
There's some Vatican politics as well - Nicky's part in organizing the Swiss Guard, Joe's in organizing the Vatican Museums, and the removal of the Borgias from power - and some global politics - the 1503 dispensation for Henry VIII's marriage to Catherine of Aragon, etc. But most of their memories are largely Joe and Nicky being Joe and Nicky in the High Renaissance (and rather hating their jobs, as neither of them particularly like working for Julius II but were blackmailed into it to avoid being labeled as Ottoman spies.)
This goes on for several days until Hugh orders his minion to start looking for the memories of other "ancestors" - essentially, to refine the animus and her technique while he gets his hacker to find better candidates for the animus. And if this accidentally destroys Joe and Nicky's minds in the process? So be it. The plan was always to kill them at the end of their usefulness anyway.
Hugh's minion spends a day doing as asked - there's a few tantalizing glimpses of Joe and Nicky at the court of Kublai Khan in the 1270s - before she has an opportunity to act on the guilty conscious that's come to plague her.
The minion helps them escape - destroying the animus, wiping the records, and blowing the place sky high to cover the bloody swath they have to cut to get out of the secret research bunker. Amongst the casualties is Hugh Merrick, propelling his son Steve into position as youngest CEO in Pharma.
Joe and Nicky rejoin Andy and Booker - who'd been doing their best to cut their own bloody swath through anyone tangentially related to the mercenaries who kidnapped their brothers - and decide to turn their attention to tracking down PoE and destroying animus technology wherever it can be found, believing there are no peaceful uses for either. As a glad you escaped present, Booker tanks Merrick Pharmaceutical's stocks so badly the company never recovers, eventually going bankrupt.
As for the minion? Maybe she's a young Rebecca Crane prior to her recruitment by the Assassins and it’s her experiences with Hugh's animus that get her recruited by the Assassin Order. Maybe she's just a random OC who sets herself up with a new identity halfway around the world and watches gleefully as Merrick Pharmaceuticals and Abstergo Industries both eventually crash and burn.
Bonuses include: 1) Joe and Nicky being the most passive aggressive kidnapees in the history of kidnappings - on the face of things, going along with exactly what Hugh asks of them, but doing their best to focus on innocuous memories and figuring out how to purposefully make memories "skip" between similar episodes without Hugh ever noticing the glitch. Also, playing up the Bleeding Effect so that by day three they're only speaking in Medieval Italian; 2) Hugh being a better class of villain than his son. Immoral? Unethical? Yes, but in a sophisticated businessman way, not a jacket and hoodie, stab a man with a letter opener type way. For some reason I'm imagining him as Jean-Luc Picard, if Picard ever had a Mirror Universe alternate; and 3) Interludes of Andy and Booker searching for Joe and Nicky after they've been kidnapped. This should be part action-thriller along the lines of Taken, part buddy comedy, and involve an arc wherein Andy learns of Booker's deep unhappiness with his immortality and helps him come to terms with the feelings that would have otherwise eventually led to the events of the 2019 movie.
And that is surprisingly more than I thought I would have had. As always, feel free to adopt this bun, just link back if you decide to do anything with it.

Okay so got a reply from Teecupangel on something I submitted and it gave me a wonderful idea.
Desmond in the Ready Player One universe.
Now if you haven’t read Ready Player One it’s about this guy (Wade) who takes on a challenge from the creator of the OASIS, a network spanning the entire world with virtual reality, in order to try to keep it out of the hands of a Corporation that wants to basically capitalism the fuck out of the OASIS.
Sooo my brain went “oh shit. Oh shit we could turn this into AC AU easy.”
Desmond, our lovable protagonist blorbo boi, takes the place of Wade. He lives with his father and mother and a few other families in a secluded location called The Farm. Once the world went to shit, Desmond’s parents decided to isolate themselves from humanity as a whole for safety.
Now, Desmond was raised in The Farm so… all his experience with the world outside of it is on an old console that runs The Gray [Name pending], created by Isu Incorporated.
One day there’s a message for every single user in the world (seeing as [Name Pending] is the world’s default coping mechanism to a slowly dying planet, it’s basically to the whole world).
FINAL ISU CORP LEADER FOUND DEAD, LEAVES BEHIND PUZZLING MESSAGE
Desmond is shocked when the message appears on his visor, he presses play on the video.
It’s Juno. She explains The Contest, a hunt for different artifacts around the multiverse of [Name Pending]. The first person to get all the artifacts and open the Grand Temple will be the new Heir of Isu Corp and the sole Admin of [Name Pending].
So for a few years, everyone dives into the hunt. Including rival company Abstergo Industries and its special Artifact Team.
As months go on, people start to quit. Except Desmond because his father is pushing him to find the Artifacts for him.
And Desmond soon crosses paths with a player named ‘Subject_16’. His avatar wears clothes that look like a prison uniform, and he’s often accompanied by ‘Overseer_Stillman’, a woman who is dressed in a sharp Abstergo uniform with a badge.
These “Subjects” are people indebted to Abstergo Industries and often used for free labor. And now they’re being used to look for the Artifacts.
And one day a new pop-up displays on everyone’s visors.
“Team Masayf— 10,000 points” with a small golden sphere emblem to the side. The first Artifact has been found.
And everyone is pushed back into the frenzy of the hunt.
A few weeks pass and William tells Desmond that they are having a guest over. Desmond is very confused. The Farm isn’t supposed to have guests. No one is supposed to know they exist.
An old man who everyone calls ‘Al Mualim’ leads a young man about the same age as Desmond into The Farm. They are both welcomed warmly and with great respect. William tells Desmond to “make a friend” and Desmond realized he’s being used to try to get information out of the other boy who looks a lot like him.
But Desmond obeys and leads the other boy, Altaïr, to his console and offers to let him play with. Altaïr agrees and the two log into their accounts.
Altaïr asks what they should do and Desmond suggests a small world dedicated solely to parkour and free running. They both head to the world and spend the day trying to beat each other on various parkour tracks.
As they play, Altaïr and Desmond talk. They talk about their experience with the hunt so far. Altaïr seems guarded so Desmond quickly changes the subject.
When William and Al Mualim come to get them, they part as budding friends. They meet up in [Name pending] almost every day, and Desmond slowly forgets about the artifact. He has a friend.
One night William rips the visor off and yells at Desmond for “neglecting his duties”. Berates him for not getting any info out of Altaïr and wasting time and The Farm’s limited resources on “playing around like a child”. Desmond shoots back that he gets nothing from The Farm, not a coin from their sales nor the visor that he wears.
Enraged, William tells Desmond to cut contact with Altaïr. Another person in The Farm will monitor his account and “if he even thinks about talking to that boy again he’ll regret it.”
And enter Rebecca and Shaun. They are told to be around Desmond 24/7 and report everything back to William.
Desmond initially distrusts the two but Rebecca calls up Altaïr for him and scrubs the recorded footage, winking and claiming there must be some sort of malfunction in Desmond’s terribly old, like seriously how do you use this Desmond it’s fucking ancient equipment.
Shaun mostly sticks to his own thing and doesn’t bother Desmond.
And then one day, the three make a breakthrough. Shaun figures out the meaning of first message Juno left, Rebecca hacks into another person’s console, and Desmond is told where the first Artifact is located.
And then an SOS comes. But it’s delivered to Desmond instead of his father on accident.
Lucy Stillman, a mole for The Farm planted in Abstergo Industries, says they need a rescue team for Clay Kaczmarek—Subject 16–because his mental state is rapidly deteriorating due to the strain of constant Artifact hunting.
Desmond, Rebecca, and Shaun decide to tackle the problem by themselves (though not without a little help).
And then once they do they have a team of five. They decide to call their team Team Eagle to obscure their location.
And then, Team Eagle jumps to second place on the leaderboard.

Some time travelly Desmond centric AC fanfic ideas...
1 The super solar flare hit and the planet was toast. The only ones to survive are some budding AI in apocalypse-proof computers in doomsday bunkers, still churning out calculations about how to save humanity. Few hundred years of iterations and improvements later, AI number 16 has the solution and proceeds to implement AI number 17 to put it into action. Aka, Android Desmond travels back in time to renaissance times in order to save the human race… of which he has no experience whatsoever. Though he's eager for new data, he very quickly figures that Ezio Auditore and Leonardo da Vinci are not average examples of their species.
2 On his way to deliver the proof of his family's innocence to Uberto Alberti, Ezio gets snatched from the street by another Assassin, who stops him at the last moment and who helps him stage a prison breakout. The Auditore family is very thankful but also very confused. So is Desmond, who has no idea what he's doing.
3 Abstergo saved Desmond at the Grand Temple and then brainwashed him to work for them. Few years later, no longer satisfied with just learning from the past, Abstergo is moving onto tampering with it. First, though, they need to figure out how paradoxes might affect things. So, to test this out, they send Desmond back in time to kill his own ancestors.
4 During his time working for the Borgia, Leonardo gets the chance to delve really deeply into the Apple. Within it, he meets Reader Desmond. Having heard about Desmond from Ezio, Leonardo immediately starts trying to talk Desmond to their side - in so doing talking Desmond back into being a human… more or less.
5 Desmond is and always has been the Human Personification of the Calculations. After all, what is probability other than, "Well, this might as well happen"?

Thinking about Desmond time travel back to Altair's time. Read a fic the other day with a Malik/Desmond pairing, and I thought it was neat, so the pairing might be that, I guess?
For some reason want to throw in Clay too, just because. Anyways. Jerusalem. Our intrepid (hah!) pair goes and absconds with the Apple before Altair and friends get there.
When the time comes, Altair does his foolhardy thing. Everything goes more or less the same, except that everyone is very confused as to where the Apple went and taking their frustrations out on each other. Now, Desmond, who has lived as Altair - who has, in a sense, grown along side the man as he becomes a better version of himself. That Desmond wants to save Kadar.
Clay, who is very irritated about being dragged along in this merry trip to the past, is absolutely incensed. Of course, this doesn't stop him from following along with Desmond to rescue Kadar. (It also doesn't stop him from falling in love with Kadar, but that's a different story.)
Kadar wakes up to a face like Altair's but not and the sounds of someone who really likes complaining ("This is horrible, Seventeen. We're going to die of the common flu within a month-"). They don't have the resources to keep him knocked out forever, but they try to cover up as much as possible to prevent Kadar from recognizing them. Kadar begins to wonder if the Altair twin was just a figment of his imagination or not.
When Kadar is well enough, Desmond knocks him out as safely as he can and they basically do the equivalent of dumping him on the Jerusalem bureau door then knocking and running.
Malik is very surprised to see his brother - not cold and dead but warm and alive, if still wounded - and if you told him it was a gift from the gods, he would believe you wholeheartedly.
Meanwhile, Desmond and Clay move to a whole different section of the city. Desmond, who has a 21st Century knowledge of medical practices, introduces the importance of cleanliness and begins to make poultices with the rudimentary survive-in-the-wild knowledge he got from the Farm.
The poor begin to know him as Healer. He sells his products at the market, and they're good enough to keep him and Clay financially stable.
Clay, meanwhile, has grown bored of complaining and is now fully invested into bringing science early, fuck the timeline, Seventeen. He's here, queer, and ready to bring all of these fools into a new age even if he has to drag them kicking and screaming.
Now that they have disposable income, it'd be easy to move into a more affluent place, right?
But Desmond - who ran away at sixteen, who has known hunger and fear - sees the children on the streets, gaunt faces and wide eyes and he buys the staple crops.
The first time he drags out a large cauldron into the street, Clay throws his hands up and goes back in. "You're going to get mobbed, Seventeen."
Desmond adds in staple grains and vegetables and meat and what sort of seasonings he's managed to scrounge up. The end result isn't a five star meal or anything, but it tastes all right ("Seventeen, I can't decide whether or not I miss Abstergo's lovely meals or not.") and it is warm and it is as good as Desmond is going to get, what with an unfamiliar form of cooking and the sheer size of the meal.
By now, there are children and teenagers and adults and all sorts of poor population nearby, scenting the air. Desmond spots a child - maybe roughly eight years of age - licking his lips and staring longingly at the pot.
"You," he calls, pointing at the child. "Boy, come."
For a moment, it looks as if the child is going to bolt, but then he steps out from the shadows and shuffles closer. He stops out of arms reach, eyes darting everywhere, prepared to run at the slightest sense of wrong. "Mister?"
"Go to my house. There's a pile of bowls - bring it out. Ask the man inside if you can't find them. There's a bowl of this for you if you do."
Hunger winning out over suspicion, the boy scampers inside.
("What? What are you doing in here?" Clay grumbles. "What does that bastard want now? The bowls are over there, now leave me alone.")
The boy comes out with the nine bowls of differing colors and patterns that Desmond had been able to scrounge up. Some of them are chipped but all of them work well enough. As promised, Desmond scoops out some of the unholy amalgamation of a porridge into one of the bowls.
"You will eat here," he says, pointing to the carpet he had laid out. "You will wash your bowl when you're done, with the soap over there."
The boy nods earnestly, and Desmond hands him the bowl. He scampers over to the rug then sits and positively inhales the food.
"Slowly," Desmond warns, half afraid the child is going to end up choking and vomiting.
The child slows.
Other children inch their way closer, staring at the boy and his food in something like envy. A few look lime they'd be willing to come to blows over it, but Desmond keeps a sharp eye on them.
"I need some chores done. Same payment," he says, tilting his head at the food, and the children come even closer.
A girl of maybe ten years of age draws up the courage to step closer. "Mister? What do you need done?"
And that's how Desmond ends up feeding the poor population of Jerusalem.

Explaining the basic rules of my cross-over between Assassin's Creed and DC:
Everything is the same, just the Templar Order is a secret society who's been controling the world for so long they've become ingrained in every aspect of society that taking them off is like breaking the base of a bunch of things, they've become a necessary evil to keep the world functioning. And they still fight the Brotherhood Of Assassins, but that's it, if the problem isn't an internal one (people smuggling data/artifacts/double-crossing the faction/corruption among their own ranks/etc), or something to do with the Brotherhood, they simply don't intervene at all. It's not their place to fix the world, only to give it some sort of balance. Their front is Abstergo Industries, which is a conglomerate of medical and technological advancement centers of research, development and production of technology.
The Isu (also called Precursors or First Civilization) were aliens who came to Earth escaping their own homeplanet destruction and trying to avoid a war with other alien species, founded a whole society based of extremely advanced tech that mixed with their own natural abilities and kickstarted a bunch of changes on the planet, but were ultimately destroyed by natural disasters, disagreements and their own corruption over the centuries. Later on their existence got muddled with that of the Earthly gods due to their abilities being similar to theirs and so, they were forgotten.
Pieces Of Eden and Sites/Gardens Of Eden are basically sources of problems in most circumstances when they're active (vide the earthquake of 1755 at Lisbon, caused by a disturbance on the Seismic Temple under the Carmo Convent from AC Rogue; and the many monsters created through Pieces Of Eden, like the sphinx, minotaur and cyclops from AC Odyssey). So there's a sort of rush to find and secure those sites and objects before anything really bad can happen. Also, while it's considered safe for humans to use certain artifacts and locations, it's common result that prolongued exposure to those cause different sorts of manias and changes on the brain and body that makes the person obcessed with them, for this reason, it's highly recommended no direct contact with any of those when they're active (gloves and masks are considered a requirement).
Isu Descendants who have enough genes to be considered descendants often have health issues or are driven mad, because the human-Isu body can't supply both sides with what's required for a proper living. Those who have enough genes and have them active tend to have the line between their humanity and Isu sides quite blury, because one is always trying to trump the other as Isu were more individualistic and saw all other beings on Earth as inferior to them due to their inate abilities and toying with all around themselves until breaking (killing in case it was a living being) their "toys", many times even despising their own kin when their abilities and knowledge were considered inferior; while humans are more community driven and considerate between themselves, helping each other and finding comfort and fulfillment in the presence of their similars (think the Isu like more left-brain driven while humans are more right-brain oriented). Often times, Isu descendants who have active genes also get confused with meta-humans.
The many Lazarus Pits around the world are remnants of the healing baths the Isu created for themselves, and that's the reason there are many and not all are the same. They're all similar in their essence, but different pits have different properties, which can be sort of figured by the color of the waters, though the most common is the green pits, because they were the easiest to be created due to the percentage of chemicals being more easily found in natural formations. Any Isu descendant with active genes can use those without having side effects, since those were created to cater to Isu needs, it serves to sooth and heal the body of a descendant, even if they have mixed genes (although each dip is a little of the human genes that die, since the pit will prioritize the Isu parts). Everyone else follows the DC rule of risking insanity upon coming back if their mind isn't strong enough.
Although Templars have a certain dislike to most hero/super-hero/villain/super-villain/vigilantism/alien activities, they tend to tolerate them so long as it doesn't intefere or get too close to their plans for comfort. They'll always have some of their agents out to observe, listen and report back to their superiors, but the agents are instructed to avoid as much contact as possible and to don't get involved in the business of heroes/villains and their fights, since the Templar Order prefers to remain neutral in any conflict that's not their own (unless there's something for them to earn from it, or course). (all my muses fail miserably in doing this)
These are the basic rules I have for myself. The rest comes as the threads develop with my partners, because I don't want to touch the DC lore a whole lot and disturb my DC partners, I work around when possible and adapt according to necessity so both myself and my partners can have a fun experience RPing in a cross-over verse.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of your Vox Populi series! I'm wondering how Abstergo's doing with the new brotherhood on their tails, especially after Desmond's interview.
Hi! Thanks for the question!
Abstergo still have their hunter teams out and about, but between F0rsak3n on one side and Vox Populi it isn’t going well. Easy prey are the mainstream Assassins, but every Vox Populi team have them going out at all times in pairs and they’re generally better trained.
Abstergo still keep getting hit by Vox Populi attacking their work sites and holding up productivity, and now they’ve run into legal trouble recently after Boston.
Public opinion in general is more confused than anything else, though stocks have dipped a bit. Things are really starting to not go their way but it hasn’t quite taken effect at this point in time.
Thanks for the Ask and the interest in the series!

It’s very likely they will do another video like this to explain what the Templars and the Assassins are doing in Japan in red
Now the Templars in ac generally believe that humanity is predisposed to chaos and only the strongest can guide them
In modern times, their primary front is a multinational company called Abstergo. Now Abstergo is there so they avoid legal action but you know of their founders

But back to my point, it seem edo Japan was stronghold, but Templars in surrounding countries may try to attack Japan to rise in ranks after the failures of the sengoku Templars. But in response the assassins will established other branches like in the Philippines
I think Ubi going to milk the living fuck out of the era with comics and novels. Also they test out how say a southeast ac story can be. Hell that part of history is heavily overlooked in gaming so a new goldmine

That was interesting if historically inaccurate, again as I've said, fiction.
Skipping but including
In modern times, their primary front is a multinational company called Abstergo. Now Abstergo is there so they avoid legal action but you know of their founders Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Firestone, JP Morgan, all were Templars in ac lore
got here and had my a-ha moment, they're inserting the word "Templar" where they mean "freemason" and other not so secret but still secretive societies.
But back to my point, it seem edo Japan was stronghold, but Templars in surrounding countries may try to attack Japan to rise in ranks after the failures of the sengoku Templars. But in response the assassins will established other branches like in the Philippines I think Ubi going to milk the living fuck out of the era with comics and novels. Also they test out how say a southeast ac story can be. Hell that part of history is heavily overlooked in gaming so a new goldmine
Be interesting, keep having to shift my thinking about the actual Templars so I don't get confused, so many of the chivalric orders got screwed over, king of France got the Templars disbanded and tortured iirc.
Knights Hospitaller are still around though

I needed this laugh, got some mice that keep eating through water lines and I'm on the verge of pulling a Caddyshack (IYKYK) on the area I'm pretty sure they're hiding it.
Thankfully I have a spare repair hose for the one today and I'm going to armor plate it.

During the chaos that erupted after both Assassins and Templars attacked the Instruments of the First Will's base to stop them from transferring Juno into a newly created body using both the Shroud of Eden and the Sage Elijah's DNA, nobody noticed Elijah taking over the terminal and changing just enough of the codes to redirect what will be transferred into the new body.
As bitter eternal enemies were forced to ally themselves with one another just to have a chance to take down the people worshipping Juno, the transfer began. Even though they were starting to get an upper hand, they still failed to stop the transfer.
All went silent as the liquid inside the container was drained. One of the Assassins tried to make a run towards it as it stepped out but was quickly pinned down.
All members of the Instruments of the First Will stared in awe and many fell to their knees.
Dread began to swirl around the Templars and Assassins as they realize just how much more destructive Juno will now become now that she-
"Uuhhh... Where am I?" The body spoke in a confused tone and everyone grew silent once more. The body stared at everyone for a moment before blinking as its hands went up to its chest. Its eyes widened as it asked in a high pitched absolutely 'what the fuck' tone, "Are... Am I... Are these boobs???"
All the monitors in the room lit up and showed Juno's angry face as she screamed, "Dessssmmoonnddd!!!"
(that's as far as I got.)

Tanglaw – Warriors of Shine and Gloom
Tumblr media
These are possibly allegedly warriors from the three factions of former rivalry with three ancient societies: the Assassin Order, Templar Knights, and Conservationist Hunters.
Tumblr media
The team's captain and mother of Isabella, Nicolette, and Rapunzel, Arianna Solcorvauld Morrison, was Jericho Reginald Morrison's first wife. Her companions include Yosef Buenaventura and Clarissa Jasmin, who are in a relationship, as well as Doron Nachman, a Jewish assassin. The group that is trying to stop the New World Order and coming disaster despises devastation and rises up like the sunlight.
Tumblr media
The glass windows of Eugene Fitzherbert's family members and ancestors in the Dark Kingdom on the present-day Balkan peninsula are said to have served as inspiration for these warriors. That's either a coincidence or something deliberate. 🤔
This is a recent occurrence as part of Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, a prequel series to the stories of Earth Responsibly series. Due to its unpredictability, the event would have occurred in the 31st century if the royal member and commoner had married and had an additional generation of endless children, which would have meant Lancelot and Guinevere had created bigger descendants than the descendants of Genghis Khan. Returning to Historya Davvun is the answer.
Historya Davvun New Species
When Daniel Cross discovered that Nilan Punzalan Pradep, the main character of Aswang and an Indian Filipino, was the grandchild of Lancelot and Guinevere, he became terribly ill and in great pain. They would be regarded as Lancelot and Guinevere's ancestors if George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Elizabeth Schuyler, Connor Kenway, or Queen Anne of England were 50% commoners and 50% royal heirs. If Aesir-mixed human DNA or demigods were included, Desmond Miles, Shaun Hastings, Rebecca Crane, and Lucy Stillman would be included. Numerous made-up creatures were not found after the Conservationist Hunter was founded, and scientists immediately started studying the new species.
Olinila Karthik, one of the head scientists of Conservationist Fighters of Bharat and Nilan's foster sister, and her cousins want to steal the advanced gadgets from Abstergo Industries and ship them to the Templar Order, the Assassin Order, and even themselves.
Tumblr media
The Blue Jarkoler is the fictional species of saurischian wyvern introduced in Historya Davvun, which is breath of blue fire.
Tumblr media
The Tricolored Bat is one of the species of bat found in eastern North America that is most annoying and less common than the average common pipistrelle.
Tumblr media
The Blood Shrew (Chephalosorex sanguinaphagius) is the fictional species of shrew introduced in Historya Davvun as minor antagonists. These animals are evolved for their powerful teeth and bloodsucking abilities in their diet.
Tumblr media
The Nectar Shrew (Procrisorex anthopinus) is the new species of shrew, and the fictional species of shrew evolved into something similar to a hummingbird but terrestrial. The predators are confused about their double identities.

GoI: M&A Harmony Toys
Description: M&A is an acronym Martin and Arthur who are brothers, and the co-founders of the american toy company M&A Harmony Toys. A seemingly normal company that sells basic yet amazingly realistic and lifelike toys. Unfortunately, just like Group of Interest: Fazbear Entertainment, M&A Harmony Toys has fallen due to manipulation of the soul and possession of mascots. The main difference is that hypothetically M&A Harmony Toys uses demonic rituals rather than anomalous technology to control the toys.
M&A Harmony Toys only appeared on the radar on 1982 Quite close to the same time Fazbear Entertainment after the [data expunged] incident. The incident that caught the attention of the Foundation was a broadcasting of a cartoon that featured demonic chanting quite similar to [data expunged]. This resulted in several children [data expunged] which obviously leading to death. The demonic chant within the cartoon lead to the theory that not only is there a demon supporting M&A Harmony Toys but that their demonic powers come from "The Abyss" and is a servant of the [data expunged] but nothing has been confirmed.
Organization: A majority of the individuals within M&A Harmony Toys don't even know what is going on behind the scenes and believe they are working for a toy company no different than all the others. The anomalous objects and entities that lurk within the company are few and extremely keen on staying within the shadows. Furthermore, it has been confirmed the anomalous individuals and entities within M&A Harmony Toys are not always loyal to the company. As such the best any Foundation staff can say about M&A Harmony Toys as a Group of Interest is... "Unpredictable".
Purpose and Goals: After the death of Person of Interest: Arthur Greywhinder as well as a majority of the Greywhinder family, it was believed that Martin Greywhinder was in control of the company. However, his recent disappearance and the sudden "resurrection" of Person of Interest: Arthur Greywhinder has left Foundation staff and agents in confusion. Unfortunately, it's unknown what the goals of M&A Harmony Toys are other than its public goal of selling top of the line life like toys. The best the Foundation is able to summarize is the spreading of anomalous toys to the world to spread the influence of the demon.
Affiliation with the Foundation: M&A Harmony Toys is seen as a major annoyance to the Foundation, they are not a high-level threat, but they do regularly kill off large portions of innocent civilians at the most random of times through randomly anomalous means. Meaning the Foundation always has to keep an annoying eye on M&A Harmony Toys. The Global Occult Coalition has the same opinions on M&A Harmony Toys. However, the Horizon Initiative has considered the M&A Harmony Toys a high-level threat and work around the clock to use legal means to shut down the company while conducting secret raids on their storage units and various stores around the United States.
The Eight Wings of Mekhane and Church of Maxwellism are sickened by M&A Harmony Toys but consider it not a real issue compared to other threats to humanity. The Children of the Scarlet King seem rather fond of anomalies created by M&A Harmony Toys and even use them in experiments. This further proves the theory of [data expunged].
Doctor Wondertainment, Are We Cool Yet?, Herman Fuller's Circus of the Disquieting, and several clans of the Sarkic Cult have tried to assist the anomalous entities that are not loyal to M&A Harmony Toys. Unsurprisingly Marshal, Carter, and Dark Ltd. buying and capturing the anomalous entities form M&A Harmony Toys and selling them in their own markets.
Survivors of Prometheus Labs, Inc. have also captured anomalies of M&A Harmony Toys and sold them to Anderson Robotics and Abstergo Industries with various degrees of success. Meanwhile the FBI: Unusual Incidents Unit have suffered several casualties trying to capture hostiles anomalies of M&A Harmony Toys. There are rumors that Vikander-Kneed Technical Media have "big plans" for M&A Harmony Toys and several of their members have been seen talking with various workers of the toy company but their end goal to all of this is unknown.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation part 11
Tumblr media
So wow, a lot happened this time around. I finally read the diary pages from Aveline’s mother and learned some things. Went down to some ruins and found a relic and finally killed Rafael. And the most surprising of all, I found Aveline’s mother! She’s alive!! But the moment was brief and confusing. I was then returned to New Orleans where I had to chase down a recruiter who locked himself into a fort. So much to unpack. Here we go.
Tumblr media
I had left off right before I had to go search for clues around Jeanne’s house, so I went to the area and had to use Eagle Vision to look for foot prints. It lead me around a house where I had to search some spots.
Tumblr media
Around the back of a house, I found a hat that Aveline said it was her mother’s  and further down a bag that could be hers as well. At the end of the road behind a house I found a diary page and that was the end of the mission. (S4/M5: Trail of Truth - complete)
Tumblr media
After the mission ended, I heard a voice again saying that they will help me uncover the truth. It was one of the Citizen E missions again. I had to find him and kill him.
Tumblr media
I looked around for a while and eventually found a gold outline up above and found the person inside the ruins. So I killed Citizen E and a familiar scene replayed.
Tumblr media
It was the conversation with the Overseer again but this time, it made more sense. Before it was like there was something missing and this was what it was. Here was the conversation about the man who tried to run away, he had said they had talked about him before but I didn’t see it.
Tumblr media
In one sentence Rafael said he was in the mood for a hanging in dealing with the escapee and then moved on to ask about his suggestion on doctoring the worker’s drink with poison. Why he would want to do that when he needs workers? The Overseer voiced his concerns with that. Rafael agreed since he didn’t need another repeat of the Mackadal debacle. Wonder what happened there?
Tumblr media
The Overseer came up with an idea to give the workers a feast and tell them they were close to them owning the land as motivation. Rafael agreed and said that he was right and that the Company Man was already displeased. Ah, there is where the scene started before. It makes more sense now with more context. Abstergo was altering the memories to make them look better. (Citizen E Encounter #2 - complete)
Tumblr media
I finally took the time to read through Jeanne’s diary pages that I had collected and wow. I should have read them before. So it turns out that Jeanne was a slave and while she only gave the first initials, it looks like she knew Mackadal and Agate. Also, it seems like Agate and Jeanne were together and he tried to get her to join the Brotherhood with him but she didn’t want to. She was eventually sold to Philipe de Granpre, but before that she stole something from the Brotherhood. After several years, she became Philipe’s placee and they had a daughter, Aveline. Phillipe took an actual wife, Madeline - which sucks. Jeanne heard that someone moved into the Bayou and she feared they were looking for her because of something she stole. So, trusting that Aveline will be safe and loved by Madeline, she left. But she left the “Heart” with her. ooh something juicy there.
Tumblr media
Jeanne ended up here at this site where she worked hard and found an artifact that looked like the Heart of the Brotherhood she had stolen. She didn’t want the brotherhood or anyone else to have it so she hid it. She also said she didn’t trust Madeline since she hadn’t heard anything from her about her daughter and thinks that she is part of something else more sinister than the Brotherhood and fears what has happened to her daughter. After a while, someone de F, who I think is Rafael de Ferrer, banished her because she kept making excuses on not finding any artifacts so she had to go into hiding and somehow find a way to escape. Wow. What a story and I don’t even have all the pages yet. But also, I don’t even know who I can trust now. Agate tried to pressure Jeanne to join and instead got Aveline involved and now even Aveline’s stepmother may be involved in something...a Templar? Who knows.
Tumblr media
I started the next mission and in the loading screen it showed the Animus Memory Notes that Aveline looked over the clues left behind by her mother and it lead her to a cenote’s entrance to find some treasure.
Tumblr media
I had to go through a trail and then I had to jump down into a cavern full of water. Then I had to swim and dive down into the cavern and back up and out of the water, hitting some checkpoints. I found a treasure chest with some money in it.
Tumblr media
I eventually got to a point where I learned a new move, using the whip to get across a big gap. It was a little hard to figure out to go at some points though and I kept falling.
Tumblr media
I eventually I had to swim down into a underground cavern and into an open area. Under the water I found a Mayan Statuette and then I went above water where I was in a futuristic room that was breaking apart. I then had to do a puzzle and put a ball into the center. Once I did, on the platform, a pedestal opened up to reveal an artifact, the Prophecy Disk.
Tumblr media
Just then, there was a blast and part of the wall crumbled to reveal Rafael de Ferrer and some soldiers. He was here for the artifact and thanked Aveline for doing the hard work for him and he wanted me to take it from me.
Tumblr media
I then had to kill Rafael, so I moved right away and killed him and pushed him through a hole in the floor. Now he won’t be a problem.
Tumblr media
But, thanks to the blast in the mine tunnel, it was now falling apart and I had to race through as it came down around me.
Tumblr media
Near the exit to the mines, I ran into the last person that I would expect. Aveline’s mother!! She was in disbelief that she was here and had thought that Madeline would have kept her safe, her and her heart. There was that word again, I think it’s an object.
Tumblr media
Jeanne saw the blades that Aveline had and thought that she was there to kill her on Agate’s orders. But Aveline told her that she was here on her own will and had thought Jeanne was dead. Jeanne said that she never wanted to leave but if she stayed then “they” would have killed her and taken her heart. She didn’t explain what that meant and said that Agate should never be given the Disk and if he did, everything she had done would be for nothing. She didn’t explain how she knew Agate either and then left. I had to leave too before the mine collapsed and the mission ended. (S4/M6: The Secret of the Cenote - complete)
Tumblr media
At the loading screen, the Animus notes said that with de Ferrer dad and the slave colony free, Aveline went back to New Orleans. Things were different now, but she still didn’t know the identity of the Company Man.
Sequence 5
Tumblr media
Back in New Orleans, I went inside the Warehouse where Gerald was busy. He was surprised but happy to see her and she filled him in on what happened to Rafael de Ferrer and he told her that things have changed here in New Orleans as well. He said that the Spanish were sympathetic to our cause and have passed laws to make things easier for slaves to be free.
Tumblr media
But there was a problem. There was some Spanish men causing trouble in the Bayou but because the Spanish was now aligned with them, was why it was strange. They needed to find out what was going on. An informant had gotten them a lead that he had seen a man bribing soldiers.
Tumblr media
Aveline made to leave but Gerald stopped her and they had an awkward moment when she thought he was stopping her to talk about their feelings, but he was just returning her weapons. Awkward!!
Tumblr media
I saw a new mark on my map that said Precious Stone, but I couldn’t find anything there, so I will have to come back to that.
Tumblr media
I then tracked down the suspect and had to track him as he walked through town. Easy enough, I just blended in with the crowd and behind buildings.
Tumblr media
He eventually met up with some soldiers and tried to bribe them right in front of me. He was telling them that his employer was prepared to be very generous if they joined their cause. So there was someone else behind it...
Tumblr media
The recruiter spotted me and started running while the soldiers attacked, but I ignored the soldiers and gave chase. He was fast and I had to weave in between civilians while making sure the soldiers behind me didn’t catch up.
Tumblr media
I didn’t make it in time and the recruiter  ran into the fort at the corner of the town and the door closed. That was the end of the mission (S5/M1: Prodigal Daughter - complete). I guess I will have to find out a way to get inside the fort and kill the recruiter, but that will have to wait until next time. This post has gotten too long and I can’t add anymore, so that is it. Happy Gaming!

I don't know what to really ask but just give me some assassin's creed content El. Headcanons, Fic, whatever you want just give me some content, pls.
Modern Day Assassin's Creed Headcanons
These are some very general AC headcanons, talking about the modern day characters because gd, I actually like them fight me.
Tumblr media
Modern day assassin's go about things in a simultaneously traditional way and more modern way. So, training is a lot of the core tenants mixed with more modern elements.
Modern assassins don't actually weak the garb from the past unless it's like, a super special ceremony. They dress just like we do because come on. Come on. There's a reason Torres said "the costume made infamous by your secret organization."
I feel like all assassins are huge intersectional feminists. I'm not taking questions on that.
Assassins also have localized mentors. So, y'know, Midwestern assassins have a league of mentors that specialize by sector. There's so many assassins now that it just makes sense?
The way ranks work now is relatively the same? They kept a lot of old tradition.
There are assassins that aren't in the field. Researchers, data retrieval, not all of them are physical soldiers, BUT, all of them know how to fight should they absolutely need to.
Parkour is still essential to the assassin training core. Modern day assassins actually tend to forget about parkour because everyone wants to fight instead.
Freerunning styles actually differ by region! Western European styles drip with style and show where as North American freerunning is filled with showmanship and a little messy!
The traditions of different brotherhoods drip into their assassins. Where as the West Indies Assassins may enjoy one method of assassination, the SEAsian Assassins will enjoy something else and will often default to that as well.
Assassins have different nicknames and are often bonded by the brotherhood they come from.
There's a weird rivalry between the Midwestern Assassins and the New England Assassins. No one knows why, but it's existed for decades. All friendly, of course.
Hell even by country the assassin brotherhoods will differ. The culture is blanketed the same, but varies WILDLY by the society they exist in. The Bolivian brotherhood is leagues different than the Nepal brotherhood. That's just how it is.
Each brotherhood has the universal traditions mixed in with their own that get passed down from generation to generation of assassin. Some of these traditions are centuries old (looking at Altair's home).
Assassins are literally everywhere. They are a global unit, and they are well known within the "secret organization" world.
The Templars are no different.
This is essentially a war that will never end due to human stubbornness and a general lack of not being able to communicate.
It confuses the assassins wildly why Abstergo, a Templar company, would make games and media based off of Assassin history.
Assassins are nomadic by nature.
While it was never Aya and Bayek's intent for the Hidden Ones to become figureheads in their own community, there's a lot of lessons to be learned from those who came before. Aya, who became Amunet, is one of the most celebrated and beloved assassins in all history. It's why there was a tomb hidden away for her in Italy.
All of the greats get remembered in ways they never really expected, and of course, there are jokes surrounding their lives that exist to this day.
It's funny to call each other novices, but no one knows why. Mailk
Some inside jokes are only understood by a singular brotherhood.
Modern day assassins are also extremely well rounded individuals. They know a plethora of skills to blend in with whatever their situation calls for given their missions and the calls of their mentors.
The brotherhood will also pay off college debts/put you through college. They value their assassins to be educated in a plethora of things, college/university being one of them.
Literally there's a place for everyone in the brotherhood. Whether it be in the field, or archiving data, there is always somewhere for you in the brotherhood.
It's not uncommon for older, but not mentor assassins to take in younger/less experienced assassins and train them as well.
Look, camaraderie is a big thing and always will be.
Assassins that are more nomadic than others tend to live in groups, like what Rebecca, Shaun and Desmond were doing.
Groups are deeply personal.
Idk why they made the animus like, a VR headset at one point but I like to think it's not entirely like that???
Yes, you can check out your ancestors in the animus.
Most assassins can speak multiple languages and are versed in some type of sign language.
Assassins are more often than not a heritage thing, but they accept people whenever.
The bleeding effect is still very much a thing. Sometimes, that's how novices will work in a bind.
Sometimes, saying "requiescat in pace" is a bit of a joke in their circles.
You do not badmouth the legends of the past.
Sometimes, assassins will go a little rogue and work with Templars for the greater good. This happens more often than not, and when it does, it has to be extremely hush hush.
Modern assassins and Templars are more willing to talk about things than their predecessors.
Birds are still a big thing with the creed. More often than not, assassins are taught falconry.
You can't have a fear of birds lmfao.
Some assassins have parrots. African Greys, Cockatoos, macaws, stuff like that! Some have crows, ravens, hawks, it goes on. Birds are integral to the creed.
Assassins have like, safe houses and stuff, some more showy than others and grand. There are hidden statues around of different mentors in accordance with what they did in life. In the rafters, windowsills, it's kinda fun. Like an easter egg.
Layla Hassan was super interesting for the time she was part of the assassins and many are still torn on how to feel about her. Shaun and Rebecca especially.
Modern assassins are often more stuck in history than they would like to admit.

Random question, in your opinion what Assassin Creed game could Cloud Strife conceivably be yeeted into but still be relatively plausible plot wise?
Lol, the one that was never made, the one taking place in modern times where Desmond was the actual main character, finally kicking Abstergo's ass. Imagine if you will all the weird Isu tech bullshit Abstergo might be toying with in this hypothetical game. Portals to the Grey or some thing. Desmond busts in to stop everything before Abstergo levels another city and boom, very confused swordsman incoming. Much confusion all around and no time to explain, everything's blowing up, gotta go
Barring that, uh. Idk, Black Flag maybe? Black Flag had some weird techy shenanigans going on.
