First AvA idea, hope its worth it
Ever heard of DSMP?
Probably, yes.
There’s a lot of ideas centered around them, different AUs and what-ifs, and I saw one the other day and had a Thought.
In lore, when Wilbur died, he came back as Ghostbur. After a series of incidents that I’m too lazy to articulate, Wilbur was revived, and was also possibly insane but that’s not the point.
This idea is from Gumi Yumi’s Villain Bench Trio idea, where they essentially put Ghostbur back inside Wilbur, to “keep an eye on him,” and Wilbur probably isn’t having a good time.
There was another post (Idk who it is) (nevermind i found it) by Tulip (https://tulipsempai.tumblr.com/ [which is their sideblog]) called “Second Chance,” where Dark was almost dead but struck a deal with Victim to not be dead.
This is basically that, but neither Dark nor Victim wants this. (1. Tbh, I’m not sure if it should be Dark or someone else like Chosen, but the whole insanity thing is pretty on par. Not exactly, but close. 2. In Gumi Yumi’s AU, I’m pretty sure Ghostbur doesn’t understand the weight of what’s basically possession on Wil. So there’s that. This whole thing depends on how you see Victim, tbh. Maybe he wouldn't've cared because he was stuck in the deletion void for so long.)
If Dark is Wilbur, I would kind of imagine Chosen to take on a Tommy role. Tommy didn’t know Wil’s plan of blowing up, but most definitely would’ve stopped him if he knew. Chosen DID know and tried to stop Dark, even if it weren’t for personal reasons. Alan as Redza? Father figure more of in the sense that he made Dark, and creators are probably seen as gods to most stick figures anyway.
Two things is first, if Chosen were to propose this plan, Victim and he would’ve had to be made at the same time, making them twinsies. Would Chosen work with Noogai to get his sibling back? Also, does Chosen care less about Dark than he does Vic, or does he think he’s doing the genuine right thing? Second, would TSC agree to this? He probably wouldn’t Wonder how that plays out.
I don’t know how the Fighting Sticks would react to this. On one hand, Dark killed them to death, so why should they care. On the other, this is entirely unethical. I feel as though they would be split amongst themselves.
That’s basically all.
Oh btw what name should they (Dark and Victim) have?

1.5K Follower Special
Hey guys! I finally have some time to work on the follower special that I’ve been planning for a bit here! Because I’m not going to do a full Kinktober like last year I think now is a great opportunity to write some kinky slasher ficlets and you guys get to request them! Be aware these will probably be shorter snippets, maybe 1k words at max but ultimately I want to do some fun kinky smut that gets to the point and delivers the juicy details hehehe
Depending on how many requests I get I might close the prompt requests once I hit a decent amount in my ask box so if you have an idea feel free to send it in! What I ask is that there’s one request per person, and that you include the character, a kink or kinky scenario, and if you feel inspired add a sentence prompt from the list I’ll be reblogging after this post. It’s that easy! Also feel free to specify whether you want gender neutral, AFAB, or AMAB reader, while I haven't written much AMAB reader I don't mind giving it my best shot 💜 Ultimately characters and kinks are up to you but I’m always happy when I receive requests for characters I don’t get the opportunity to write for as often so that’s always nice! EXTRA BONUS POINTS if you ask for my OC Alan Sharpe, no pressure obviously but I will give u so much love if you do <3 I also sneakily added a few new characters to the roster (Lost Boys, Nick Goode, Nightwing Killer/Tommy Slater, and Chatterer) so they’re up for grabs too.
Again, thank you all so much for being here and enjoying my work, I still find it baffling that people like my writing enough to stick around. I literally cannot thank you guys enough <3

She’s My Collar pt. 5
So I was gonna try to upload an update for both fics, but I’m still feeling yucky so have this chapter for now which I’m sorry if it’s not great, the next one will be better I promise lol.
Tag List: @nowhereiswhereibelong @littlemisscare-all
Tumblr media
“Miss did you hear me?” The officer in front of me grunts.
“I’m sorry could you repeat the question for me?” I ask shyly focusing on him and not Kevin shouting and thrashing as the other cops are shoving him into the police car.
“I asked you if you could give me your recount of the events that took place tonight.”
“Oh right. Well…”
The flames are starting the consume the curtains and spread across the carpet as Tommy and I round the corner from my bedroom. I make a beeline for the kitchen to grab the extinguisher I had luckily purchased when Nikki started lighting himself on fire in their apartment. I toss it to Tommy and he gets everything currently on fire doused with the foamy liquid.
“What the fuck?” He wonders aloud as he reaches down picking up a broken bottle out of the mess. “River who the fuck would throw a moltov cocktail in your apartment?”
It’s like Loki the God of chaos himself is answering him when my door is kicked in and Kevin sways in full of intoxicated rage. He spots me frozen with fear against the fridge and begins to stomp towards me.
“You fucking good for nothing cunt I should’ve killed you when I had the chance” He screams and lunges towards me but is knocked to the ground by Tommy tackling him.
Tommy’s fist is covered in blood by the time I can get him pulled off Kevin and he spits on him as I get him pulled out of there just in time for the police and fire department to be pulling into the parking lot.
“We’ll be in touch.” The man hands me his card with his info on it before getting in his car and leaving.
Tommy is silent as we walk back to my apartment for me to inspect the damage done. My plants near my window scorched and my carpet destroyed is enough to send me over the edge. I collapse in the fetal position and let myself break down for the first time since the chaos began. I feel Tommy lay on the ground next to me and wrap his arms around me letting me have my moment.
“Thank you.” I hoarsely let out.
“I told you that you were stuck with us guys for the rest of your life especially me.” He pressed a small kiss to my shoulder and butterflies filled my stomach.
“Let's get off the ground.” I sniffle the both of us sitting back up slowly and eventually clambering back into my bed.
He pulls me against his body and rests his chin on the top of my head, the soft movement of him breathing lulling me to sleep.
“It’s the goddamn principal of the matter.” Nikki ranted as he paced through my living room while I tried to enjoy my morning coffee.
“So tell Vince you’re pissed.”
“No I can’t let him think he won. He needs to think I never wanted Beth in the first place.” He scoffed.
“Did you want Beth?”
“She gives great blowjobs. That’s why I suggested a threesome in the first place.” He plops into one of my chairs looking up at the ceiling.
“Listen Nikki I’m gonna be brutally honest since we’re friends and you would be with me, this is your fault for opening up your girlfriend to Vince Neil.”
“I hate it when you’re right you know that?”
“You’ll find a new groupie to fuck Nikki you’ll be fine. Now we gotta get to the studio you boys have photos for the album we need to take today.”
The boys had finished recording their first album by the grace of God himself. They spent the entire few days in the studio drunk and pissing off their sketchball manager, but by the end of it they had a full blown album that didn’t take much money to produce. They even got to save money on photos for the album since I was their personal photographer, which aforementioned sketchball was thrilled about. His name was Alan, but I didn’t have a good feeling about him so I rarely referred to him by his name, not to his face.
“My hair isn’t going to show!” Vince pouted in front of the (awful) white background Alan had thrown together for their album pictures.
“It’ll be fine Vinnie we’re gonna get them edited by a professional.” He quipped from beside me.
“Excuse me?” I ask unaware he was having somebody else  edit my photos.
“Well yeah sweetheart you expect me to trust the work of an amature to look good enough without editing? You’re out of your mind.”
“Listen here you sweaty ass-” I’m cut off by Tommy’s hand covering my mouth blocking the next slew of insults I had prepared.
“Let's take 5 for a cigarette break” He says cheerfully and leads me away still covering my mouth.
“You can stop licking my hand thinking that is gonna make me move it from your mouth you know.” Tommy says after dragging me outside the building we were shooting in. I pull away from him and fix him with a death glare that he just chuckles at lighting up a cigarette.
“I don’t want someone else to fuck with my photos Tommy. They’ll ruin it, I just know it.”
“It’ll be fine Riv. Besides if it’s fucked up then next time Alan can pay you more to do the photos and the editing.”
“Yeah that cheap bastard isn’t about to pay me more for jack shit Tommy.” I roll my eyes and pace back and forth in front of him. “Are you guys sure you want him as your manager? He gives me a weird feeling.”
“I think you’re paranoid babe” Tommy pulled me close and placed a kiss on my forehead. “Now lets get through this photoshoot so we can party it up later alright?”
“As much as I hate The Troubadour sometimes, yes I’m willing to get through the rest of the photoshoot so that we can go ‘party it up’ with the boys there” I tease and lean in close to him.
Tommy’s intoxicating scent of leather, cigarettes, and the men’s body wash I’ve been getting him to use pulls me in and I tuck my face into his neck and place a soft kiss there. He hums as his hand plays softly in my hair and he pulls slightly to tilt my head up. Our lips connect in a soft peck and he pulls away to stroke my cheek with his thumb.
When I walk back in Alan was nowhere to be found, which was perfect for me so that I could get my work done faster. Vince it seems has also finished his little temper tantrum as well. The rest of the shoot goes by without a hitch and we get our final shot for the cover of the album, which was just a close up shot of Vince’s crotch. By the time we get done and piled into my car it’s about time to get ready for the party the boys were throwing for completing the album and releasing it themselves on their own record label.
“Are you Nikki Sixx?” A voice off to the side of Nikki calls and he turns from our conversation with a shit eating grin giving her a single “no”  in response.
“Oh well that’s a shame cause I was going to split this quaalude with him.” She shrugs and goes to move on, but Nikki quickly stops her and confirms he in fact is Nikki Sixx and he was just fucking with her.
I watch her smile and bite her drug in half placing the other half onto Nikki’s tongue and he looks like he just might be falling in love for the first time. I look around and see Vince and Beth wrapped up together and Mick nursing his bottle of vodka, but I can’t find Tommy. I make my way through the crowd up to the bar and I don’t spot the tall brunette anywhere. He could just be outside smoking a cigarette, I tell myself feeling the bits of insecurity start to blossom in my head.
“Two Jack and Cokes please” I say to the bartender when I finally get his attention. I figure if I go to find Tommy with a drink in hand it makes me look less like a crazy person.
“What’s a pretty girl like you doing ordering your own drinks?” The man to my left says and I have to put effort into not rolling my eyes.
“Well nothing on me is broken so I’m more than capable of getting my own drinks” I shoot back trying to walk away, but his hand comes up to block me from going forward.
“I’m just saying if you got a man he should be catering to you. What’s your name goddess?” His sickening grin shows teeth all too white against far too tan of skin.
“Her name is none of your business.” A deep huff comes from behind me and I turn to see Mick casually leaning against the bar.
“What are you her fucking dad?” The overly bronze man snaps.
“I’m trying to help you, but if you don’t want to keep all your fucking teeth that’s your dumbass decision.” Mick chuckles and tips his head to Tommy making his way towards us already sending hate eyes to the man next to me.
“You should listen to the man.” I shrug. “He fights.” I nod toward Tommy for emphasis.
The man looks like he’s about to argue when I feel Tommy slide his arm across my shoulders.
“This guy bothering you babe?” He asks sipping the drink in my hand never breaking eye contact with the strange guy with a look that said ‘one wrong move and I’ll kill you.
I smile like a cat that just caught a mouse and sip my drink as well.
My back hits the back wall of the closet as Tommy tries to find a secure place to hold my body so he can kiss me and grind into me at the same time.
“Fuck can I get this kind of reaction everytime I stick up for you.” Tommy pants breaking away from our kissing to catch his breath.
He hisses as I grind against him while pulling his hair back to expose his neck to me. I take the opportunity to nip at the skin there and feel the rumbling of another groan pass through him. Tommy begins to unlace his pants and suddenly the realization of how public we are hits me. Right as a worker opens the closet door to be exact.
“Ah I’m so sorry!” I yelp climbing off Tommy and rushing out of the closet and out the back door. Tommy is hot on my tail quickly catching up with the help of his long ass legs.
“Come on.” Tommy begins leading me to my car. “We’re going to your apartment to finish this.

What are your top s1-3 eps?
AI’ll put the ones you haven’t seen yet near the bottom! This is chronological order: (and plenty of cute comfort episodes, but I’ll stick to quality)
1. Yankee Doodle Doctor. Yeah it’s more cute and comfort, but Trapper and Hawkeye dance together, Trapper is protective of Hawkeye, the director has a crush on Hawkeye (which is just really funny considering part of why Alda got the role is he was pretty and flamboyant) and Hawkeye’s little speech is underrated.
2. Sometimes You Hear The Bullet. The bi! The unambiguous gay as hell shit with Tommy! the angst and the guilt and the lovely Henry!
3. Showtime: “it’s nice you can smile in Korean” I weep.
4. Radar’s Report: Trapper’s storyline is messed up and I mean that in the most appreciative way possible, and Hawkeye thinking of marriage as a disease but falling for the idea of it, mwah.
5. Dr Pierce Dr Hyde: *cries* also so much good character stuff, for Hawkeye of course and Trapper, and seeing that he and Henry look after Hawkeye because they know he’s heading for a breakdown gives Late Captain Pierce beautiful heartbreaking context.
6. Kim: I love that Alan Alda sneaks in a kiss to Wayne Rogers’ cheek, I love that Trapper cracks open the emotional shell a bit only to reel it right in again when mom comes back, I love that this camp is the sweetest to kids.
7. Carry On Hawkeye. PEGGING SCENE ASIDE, it’s a lovely one for Hawkeye and Margaret’s friendship with pegging, doesn’t get a snapback (would they have helped her in Hot Lips and Empty Arms if that’d happened first), and the gender stuff with Hawkeye being Margaret’s housewife? mwah.
8. Hot Lips and Empty Arms: hot take that Loretta Swit is the only one who can do funny drunk consistently well, but my wife gets an episode! and Hawkeye is in love with Trapper, though we already knew that.
----------------EPISODES YOU HAVEN’T SEEN YET AND SO I WON’T DETAIL
9. Mail Call, 10. OR, 11, Check Up (though fuck off with the fatphobic b-plot show, Swit and Alda later are beanpoles and you’re making me feel bad), 12. Alcoholics Unanimous, 13.  Adam’s Ribs, 14. Mad Dogs and Servicemen, 15. Bulletin Board, 16. The Consultant, 17. Aid Station, 18. Abyssina Henry

Watching MITB??
regrettably. i have been camping, cuz that's just what i do on the weekends now, and am too damn tired to change it
the women's match was fun tho! not really into whatever alexa has going on, and i dunno how i feel about seeing zelina back (not for the union reasons, there was no way she would be able to do that all on her own, but because she was definitely rehired when tommy end was fired, so i dunno how i feel about that). and having tamina and natalya on the card means there are two people in the match you know aren't gonna win, so it took out a little of the surprise. match would have been great with five instead of seven, honestly.
probably won't pay attention to the rest? i'm so far out of wwe that i dont even know the card tonight.
actually, tho, uncle alan just got a knee to the face, and that was nice. is sami or ko on tonight? might stick around for them
EDIT: mad pumped for nikki getting such a big push tho! i wasn't sold on superhero nikki, but seeing how much fun shes having and how much she's putting into the character makes me love it

Imagine if victim somehow trapped c!Alan in the computer in ava 1?
all that i can say is it wouldn't go well! i still am going to be firm on the fact that i won't venture into c!alan's family in this measure (don't feel comfortable with including real people who haven't been explicitly included), but he would be really freaked out and want to go home. iirc, he was like, 13 around the point of ava 1? so it's a bit of a hellish situation especially considering he doesn't really get any sympathy from victim

Title: Five Meetings
Daltonfic Big Bang; Week 2, Day 6- Met as Kids  The First Time the Serendipity Hill Hunters met Dwight, and the first time he met one of them.
March 3rd, 1995
Dwight was the first person Lucas ever met. Well, the only one that mattered. Great Aunt Ingrid doesn’t count as someone worth meeting. Lucas knew he met Dwight before he could even remember what remembering was. He was smaller, fluffy haired, and was fussy. Lucas’s mother told him he had never been a fussy baby; he even shared his toys! Dwight shared as well, but he made sure his stuff didn’t get broken- keeping a sharp look on it, fascinated with every bright colour and shiny edge, wailing when it was out of sight. Lucas simply marvelled when it was reintroduced. The difference in philosophy made games more, creative.
Picture two babies, too early to even speak, simply throwing rocks at each other until they realized maybe that might hurt. That was Dwight and Lucas.
The two of them seemed to take great pleasure each time they drove an adult up the wall. Agatha and her cousin drove themselves to distraction trying to keep their sons entertained and alive. Mostly, they succeed. Each time the boys found a new hiding spot, the nannies and their mothers searched frantically for the babies. Often times, Lucas led Dwight into fruit baskets, cupboards, and a notable incident where they hid in the washing machine for two hours- giggling and passing a bowl of cheerios.
Their mothers couldn’t help but love them. Their nannies asked for a raise.
September 1st, 2001
Sadie knew lots of people. There was Steven from the grocery store; Yolanda delivered the paper; and Carlson Mackenzie was the security guard at the edge of Serendipity Hill who let them in and out to go to school. Knowing lots of people didn’t mean she could not be fascinated by the boy next to her in St. Ignatius. Mrs. MacPherson sorted boy-girl-boy-girl seating; which got her next to the boy with the pencil case covered in lightning bolt stickers. He looked like the type of boy her mama would pinch sharply, and order to eat three extra empanadas before he fell over in a stiff breeze. What a stiff breeze was, Sadie’s mama would not say.
“I like your stickers Tommy.” Sadie said, treating the boy with a curious look.
“My name’s Dwight.” He said, huffing.
“You’re lying.” She said, pointing. “The name tag on your desk says Thomas.”
“Only my mom is allowed to call me Thomas. I like Dwight better.”
“You can’t just rename yourself!” Sadie said, leaning back scandalised.
“Can too! See?” He said, proudly flipping the pencil case around to show his name in (presumably) his own shaky handwriting. “Besides, it’s my middle name anyways. When we get confirmed I’ll choose an even better third name so no one will ever remember I was a Thomas.”
“Okay then.” She said, contemplating. “I guess that makes sense.”
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Sadie.” She said, sticking out her hand. “You’re going to tell me where you got those stickers, and then I’m going to find you an even better-even better third name.”
He shook it. They hadn’t learnt about cooties yet, and by the time they did they’d already be friends.
 September 4th, 2004
New neighbourhood, new school, new day. Morgan ran his hand over his freshly shaved hair, no more letters home about ‘inappropriate’ school attire. He didn’t want trouble. If everyone would just leave him alone and let him read he’d be fine, but it was always them who seemed to find things wrong. He didn’t want to play soccer, or football, or four square; he didn’t want to learn about histories of evil people; he didn’t want to sit through liars in front of the chapel, when his grandmother had told him the only reason he was here with the nuns was the other private school was a ‘bad school’- public was even worse. He had to believe they were worse.
Every new grade was more of the same mean kids forcing their mean opinions onto him. Taking his glasses, stealing his books, calling him a nerd. It was tiring. He lost half a binder of rare Digimon cards to that stupidity (if his mom could read his mind….)
Well, luck would happen that he found someone even more troublesome than him.
“We’re friends! I was helping her with her sweater!”
“Sister Cathy, he’s telling the truth!”
“Missy, you’ll be thanking me when you’re older. Boys only one thing, and before you know it they’ll have you ruined!” One of the staff had a white- and god was he white- boy by the ear, intent on dragging him away. A darker girl with brown hair stood next to the row of lockers, her school sweater rumpled and backwards. “You’re coming with me to the Chaplin’s office to reflect upon your behaviour!”
The girl looked around, frustrated and angry as the plain-clothesed nun dragged her friend away. Her eyes met Morgan’s; she was asking for help. He sighed. Hopefully this wouldn’t backfire.
“Um, Sister? I saw the whole thing. They’re telling the truth.” Morgan spoke up, raising his hand like he was still in class.
She whirled about. “What?”
Morgan stepped back, looking back to the girl. Her eyes were wide and expectant.
“Um, he was just helping her with her sweater. It’s not anything bad.” He paused. “And I’m not lying about it, because if I was then I’d go to hell right? I don’t want that.”
She paused, releasing her grip on the boy’s ear. She looked between the three of them. “I’ll be keeping my eye on you Thomas Perry.”
The nun stalked off, leaving the girl to sigh in relief. The boy only rubbed his abused ear and mutter, “Dwight! My name is Dwight.”
“Thank you!” The girl said, turning to Morgan. “It means a lot! His mom would kill him if he got sent to the Chaplin on the first day of school.”
“Um no problem.” Morgan said awkwardly, unsure of how to respond as the two of them went right back to pulling at the girl’s sweater. “Uh, was I really lying then?”
The two flushed. “NO!”
She dug up under the sweater, seemingly finding what she was looking for and just tearing the fabric. Her hand reappeared with a safety pin which let the slack back into the sweater. “I put it on wrong when I got it out of my locker and it snagged on the pin. Dwight was helping me without ripping it.”
“But you just ripped it, the ribbon charm only works if it stays pinned.” Dwight complained, leaning back against the lockers.
“We’ll redo it.” She assured him, patting his shoulder. “Hey, new kid what’s your name?”
“Morgan Powell.” He found himself saying. “I just moved into Serendipity Hill this year.”
“Oh no way!” She said excited. “I’m Sadie Moore, this is Dwight Perry. We live in Serendipity Hill as well. You must be the new kid in the old Richards house! I knew I read the cards right last week!”
“Cards?” Morgan asked.
“I’m learning Tarot. I’ll teach you!” She said excitedly. “Do you want to sit at our table at Lunch? We’re planning how to get Dwight’s cousin Lucas to tell us all about if the Grade 6 Class really is haunted by Father Rodriguez’ ghost.”
Morgan smiled. “I’d like that.” He meant it.
 February 14th, 2011
Laura Bancroft didn’t have time to glare at Dwight Houston; she was worrying about bigger things than a boy who couldn’t even apologize when he ran into her.
“Did you see that?” She hissed, nodding to the pair she’d been following around. Justin said he was one of their new Hanovers. She didn’t trust him. She’d heard rumours about Houston, he had to sense something wrong with the kid.
“Yeah.” Dwight sounded unsure. Not helpful. “Do you know him?”
“Julian Larson, if the talking fangirls are to be trusted.” She zeroed in on her target, hiding behind the table to avoid detection. “That boy over there, he’s Adam. My brother says he’s a Hanover like him.”
“Well don’t you think he’s a little strange, that Adam guy…” Dwight started.
Laura could have cheered. Yes! Excellent! He got it. Dwight glanced back to her, “And I don’t expect you’d understand, coming from Windsor we-”
She cut him off. “You don’t know many Hanovers do you?”
This just might work.
 July 23rd, 2001
“Tommy, sweetie, do you want to hold him?” His mother whispered, holding the bundle in her arms.
Dwight looked at the baby, then back to his mother. “Can I?”
He didn’t know if he could. He was so small. What if he broke him?
“Go on kiddo,” his dad said, patting him on the shoulder. “You’ll be fine. Just support his head…”
Dwight felt nervous. This was his baby brother. Brothers were special, babies were special- especially little ones. They would look up to you, and love you, and everything you did was supposed to make sure they didn’t have a bad life ever.
His father helped his mom reach out, placing the bulky blankets into his arms. She was tired, but Dwight wasn’t. Maybe he could help by holding the baby?
His brother was tiny. He didn’t know anything could be this tiny. He had wide eyes the same colour as Dwight’s. Other than that, he couldn’t see much of the baby, making gurgling noises up at him.
“Hi Alan.” Dwight said solemnly, remembering his dad was there and he expected him to be a big boy. “I’m your brother Thomas. It’s good to meet you.”
“You don’t have to be so serious sweetie.” His mom said, hair stuck to her forehead even as she laughed softly.
“He’s being responsible Agatha, I think it’s precious.” His dad said, sitting on the end of the bed; a fond expression at the group of them.
Dwight held on, not allowing his arms to tire even though Alan was heavier than he looked. “I’ll teach you all the best games, and Luke and I will show you all the best hiding spots, and oh! I’ll never let anyone hurt you ‘cause that’s what big brothers do. They protect their little brothers.”
He pressed a kiss to Alan’s forehead, “I promise.”

What Would They Say Part 14
Pairing: mob!Tom x Reader
Summary: The reader is a bartender at a bar owned by Tom Holland - the leader of the most feared mob in London. Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five Part Six Part Seven Part Eight Part Nine Part Ten Part Eleven Part Twelve Part Thirteen
Requested: No
“Where are you heading off to, Princess?” Tom asks as he comes into the hall, seeing me pulling on my jacket.
“Harrison said I could take Tess on a walk?” I say shyly, allowing myself to be wrapped up in his arms for a hug.
“Where to?” He asks, kissing the top of my head.
“Just around the grounds, I was going to see if Paddy wanted to come as well,”
“That’s a good idea,” Tom agrees, squeezing me tighter for a couple of seconds before releasing me. “But don’t leave the grounds okay?” I nod, not feeling the need to tell him that I wouldn’t have done that anyway, that I would have been to scared to.
“Paddy!” I call up the stairs and I can feel Tom’s eyes on me, smiling quietly at my back.
“What?” Comes the response.
“You want to come for a walk?” I ask. I hear his footsteps bounding towards me down the stairs before I hear him calling a ‘yes’.
“I have business to attend to later, so I may not be here when you get back,” Tom tells me and I nod, turning around to kiss his lips.
“We won’t be out for long,” and Tom nods, kissing me once more.
“Text me when you get back so I know you’re safe,” he orders and I nod, leaning up to kiss him for a final time but we’re interrupted by Paddy’s entrance.
“Do you mind?” He asks and Tom rolls his eyes.
“I preferred you when you were a baby and couldn’t speak,” he deadpans and I laugh, untangling myself from Tom’s arms and calling for Tessa, who is quick to scamper her way across the wooden floor and into my waiting arms.
“I’ll see you in a few hours,” I say to Tom after I clip on Tessa’s lead and I steer Paddy out of the house.
“You and Tom are pretty serious,” Paddy mentions to me as we walk deep into the far end of Tom’s land. He owned a mansion, so it was fair to say that the Gardens and woods that surrounded it all belonged to him and were all stunningly beautiful.
“I mean... yeah,” I laugh and Paddy grins at me, throwing another stick for Tessa.
“Mum and Dad like you to, they’re worried you’ll break up with him sometime,”
“I think that they need to worry more about Tom breaking up with me,” I tell Paddy who shrugs.
“That’s good then, because that way we know that it’s not going to happen,” the certainty in Paddy’s voice makes me blush. “Mum wants him to propose, too,” Paddy mentions and I laugh, shaking my head.
“We’ve not been together nearly long enough for that I’m afraid, Pads,” Paddy just shrugs, throwing the stick another time for Tessa. “How’s school anyway?” I ask, wanting to change the subject from mine and Tom’s relationship. I was too young to get married, as well as it being too soon in our relationship, I found myself desperately hoping that Tom would not ask me to marry him anytime soon.
“It’s alright, boring though,” he sighs and I smile affectionately at him.
“You just haven’t gotten to the interesting bits then, obviously,” Paddy rolls his eyes at that.
“That’s because there aren’t any interesting bits,” he groans and I sling my arm around his shoulder, bringing him in for a quick side hug. “Wait, what was that?” He asks, moving out of my arm and looking suddenly attentive as his head swings around, looking for a source of a noise that I had not heard.
“What?”
“Listen!” He hushes me and I roll my eyes a little but obediently fall silent at his wishes. I hear it too, then, a little bark.
“A dog!” I say, delighted, rushing towards the source of the noise. It was coming from the hedge marking the end of Tom’s land. I crouched down when I reached it, Tessa was barking, following me as I looked for the puppy, Paddy right by my side.
“Where are you, puppy?” Paddy calls and is greeted by another pitiful bark.
“Over here, Pads!”
The dog can’t be more than six months old, tangled in the hedge and looking pained as it desperately tries to get free. It’s a little golden retriever, looking up at the two of us with big brown eyes and the littlest of barks.
I untangle them from the hedge, trying not to hurt them even more and then pull off the hoodie that I’m wearing, wrapping the puppy inside of it.
“Can we keep it?” Paddy asks. “Can you keep it?” He clarifies, laughing and I shake my head a little sadly.
“I can’t have a dog in my flat,”
“But you basically live here,” he points out but I shake my head again.
“I’m not planning on staying much longer, Pads, uni starts again soon and this is too far away for me to travel every day,” Paddy sighs, pouting sadly as we make our way back to the house.
“Princess?” Tom asks, coming into the library.
“Hey Tommy,” I smile in greeting, half of me hoping that he wouldn’t notice the presence of the second dog sprawled across my lap.
“What’s that?”
“A dog, I would’ve thought you knew what one looked like by now,” I tease nervously and Tom laughs a little.
“Darling, I don’t own two dogs,” he points out, raising his eyebrows a little and I try my best to give him an innocent smile.
“He’s called Alan,” I offer and Tom laughs.
“Y/N, you bought a dog? And named it Alan?” He clarifies and I shake my head quickly.
“I didn’t buy Alan, he was stuck in your hedge, I just saved him, really,” Tom smiles, coming over and moving me a little so that he can slip behind me onto the sofa, moving a hand down to gently stroke Alan’s soft fur.
“And you couldn’t have thought of a better name than Alan?” He asks and I shake my head, offended.
“Alan is a wonderful name!” I disagree and, before Tom can respond, one of his men barges into the room.
Instinctively, I curl up into Tom’s body, clamming up straight away.
“What?” Tom demands, glaring at the man who seems to wilt a little under the harsh stare.
“We found the files,”
“I’ll be there shortly,” the man backs out of the room, not even looking at me as though in fear for what Tom would do to him. “It’s okay, Angel,” Tom whispers, rubbing my back and I give him my best smile. “I booked the tickets to get you home,” he informs me and my smile becomes a little more genuine.
“Thank you,” I murmur, cuddling even further into him, knowing that he was going to have to leave soon and yet not wanting him to leave me alone.
“Does this mean I get to hear about why you quit football?” He reminds me of my deal and I smile, nodding.
“It was an expensive club I went to, like a proper football club because I was actually pretty good at him,” Tom nuzzles his face into my neck, placing a kiss there and I feel him smiling against my skin. “But then Dad got sick and the treatment cost loads, he didn’t want me to have to give up football though, because he knew how much I loved it, so my older sibling and I got jobs and my younger one started to take care of the markets and shit since Dad couldn’t anymore, eventually it just got to the point where I was not going to let them keep on paying for my lessons anymore so I went ahead and quit,”
“Without telling them?” He asks and I nod.
“Mum and Dad were so angry but I refused to take it up again, even after Dad got a bit better again”
“Do you miss it?”
“I do, but not as much as I used to,” I admit and Tom hugs me a little tighter.
“Is your Dad better now?” He asks quietly and I hesitate.
“It varies,” I admit, “he’s better than he was when he first got ill, but he’s not... the same anymore. That’s why he wants to meet you so bad, I think he’s worried that he’s not going to get the chance to meet you otherwise,”
“I’m sorry, Princess,” Tom whispers quietly, placing a kiss on my shoulder and leaning his forehead against it.
“It’s okay,” I murmur, allowing myself to relax back into his arms and just appreciate the little piece of quiet that we had right now, with Alan and Tessa lying across our feet and a fire crackling in the fire pit, Tom’s arms secure around me.
Only one more part left of this, so I’m going to try and get it up as soon as possible! And then a possible epilogue as well if people want that! Make sure you check out my other Tom series that I’m writing in collaboration with @happysynonym called Night Of Your Lives (Circus!Au)

Who are your favorite characters, from any media form, and why?
I have a ton of favorites, actually! They usually range from the bratty/bully/evil types (Because I find characters like that fascinating) but then I also enjoy a lot of really underappreciated kind of wallpaper characters that other’s tend to overlook, if I had to narrow down my endless list to the top contenders it would be something like this -
Johnny Lawrence, Tommy, John Kreese (Karate Kid/Cobra Kai)
Teddy Duchamp, Ace Merrill (Stand By Me)
David, Alan Frog (The Lost Boys)
Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Himiko, Ryouta Sakamoto (Btooom!)
Hasebe, Horikawa, Shinano, Shishiou (Touken Ranbu)
Nero, Dante (Devil May Cry)
Futakuchi Kenji, Yamaguchi Tadashi (Haikyuu!)
Tim Drake (Batman/DC Comics) Warren Worthington III (X-men/Marvel Comics)
Billy Hargrove, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers (Stranger Things)
Henry Bowers, Bill Denbrough, Stan Uris (Stephen King’s IT)
And the list goes on, but those are a handful of my current favorites. Also I tend to mostly stick to television, movies and comics for medias that I like. As to why I like the ones that I do? It’s hard to explain, again for the more evil/mean types I just think they’re interesting and unexpected and I like to get into that headspace, get to know what makes them tick, that kind of thing. But then again I also really appreciate sweet, quiet, soft boys probably because I’ve never really known any sort of guy like that in real life and I appreciate that kind of caring and generous nature.
Thanks so much for the ask! This was fun :)

Aidan Gillen may not have a face you instantly recognise, but he can change remarkably for each character he plays. It's better like that, he tells Kate Holmquist.
He doesn't stop moving in the hotel armchair. He pulls his black Adidas jacket up over his ears as though he's hiding. Then pulls it down and tries to sit still, but then his hands are in his hair constantly, pulling it, bending it, working it like clay, until eventually it stands straight up, like the black comb of an exotic bird.
I keep looking for characters in Aidan Gillen's malleable face: for the seductively amoral Stuart in Queer As Folk, for councilman Tommy Carcetti in The Wire, for Edward in Frank McGuinness's play, Someone to Watch Over Me or Mick in Harold Pinter's The Caretaker, for which Gillen was nominated for a Tony award after a New York Times review said he had outshone his co-actors, Kyle McLachlan and Patrick Stewart, not because they were inadequate - they were great - but because Gillen's energy was amazing.
Still dancing in his chair, Gillen leans on the marble shelf beside him, looks into the mirror and seems to watch the room behind him more than himself, with that shock of black hair sticking up like it's electrified. I'm distracted towards the mirror in an attempt to see what he's seeing and when I turn back, I realise he's been watching me watching him.
"You're a shape-shifter, aren't you? You can totally change your appearance at will," I suggest.
He smiles, settling into his chair. "Yea, I guess so." I've got his attention.
"You like that, don't you? Being described as a shape-shifter?"
"You are living through other people's stories. This is your life. Some of your most intense moments in your life are while you are pretending to be someone else. Hopefully, you have some sort of life that's your own, but it's all the same thing, really."
"Do you know who you are?" I ask him.
"I have an idea. Working as an actor . . . You are getting deep into being somebody else and that becomes a large part of your personality. Then you could be somebody else again next week," he says.
He has deliberately avoided being type-cast. "If something works you get asked to do four or five things the same. I've made an effort for the next job always to be something different."
Before Christmas, Gillen finished shooting a nightmarish thriller in Barcelona with 29-year-old director Rigoberto Casteneda, Black Out. He plays "an Alpha male doctor with a dual life", who becomes trapped in a lift with two other characters, played by Amber Tamblyn and Arnie Hammer. The film's tagline is "hope is not on the way".
GILLEN HAS MADE nearly 30 films and has appeared in dozens of theatre productions, but hasn't registered on the romantic lead radar like previous Irish heart-throbs Gabriel Byrne, Aidan Quinn and Colin Farrell. In looks, he's most like Farrell, with a bit of Stephen Rea and Richard Dreyfus thrown in, but without Farrell's charismatic public persona. Gillen is a light-switch, turning various qualities of energy on and off - sometimes within the space of a minute. And unlike Farrell, Gillen's face can be so ordinary that you'd miss him in a crowd. Now aged 38 and with 20 years of professional acting behind him, Gillen says he's aware at being just the right age to start leading in the sort of Hollywood films that could take him from highly respected working actor to mega-stardom.
He's so hard to pin down, he doesn't even identify with being an "Irish" actor. "In New York, they think I'm English, and in England they think that I'm from Ireland. If people don't have a strong sense of where you are from, it's to your advantage. I've never tried to push any kind of image. I feel at home in a situation where nobody knows who you are and what you do. I prefer not being recognisable in the street, the less people think they know about you the better. What do they want to know about you for, anyway?" he asks.
The son of an architect, who died last year, and a nurse, Gillen grew up in Drumcondra and was an altar boy in Gardiner Street church. At 14, he became involved in the National Youth Theatre but he didn't see it as a career. By Leaving Cert year, he'd fallen foul of the Christian Brothers. "A month before the Leaving Cert, a teacher sent me out of the classroom and I lay down on the roof of the building and decided it was time to move on. I liked school, but I didn't want to do any more of it," he says.
Gillen's "university" education began with a year living in London "watching the video of every film ever made". Then in 1988 he was cast in Billy Roche's Handful of Stars and met Jenny Tupper, who ran the Bush Theatre. "I lived with her for two and a half years. She was very supportive and encouraging." There was no sexual intimacy between them but Gillen says he got slagged for being her "toy boy", which he wasn't. "There was always a glass of Friexnet and a cup of quails' eggs and stimulating company of theatre people - Simon Callow, Alan Rickman, Frank McGuinness, Cathy Bourke, Lindsay Duncan. Always stuff going on. One time I was dying in bed with chicken pox, which I got at the rather old age of 21, and I woke up to find Frances Barber spoon-feeding me coconut ice-cream, which was almost like a fever dream. It was nice to have somewhere to be where I could talk to people, instead of an empty room on my own."
The actor he most admires is Donal McCann and the Irish playwright he would most like to work with is Conor McPherson - and McGuinness again, if the opportunity arose. As for Irish film-makers, he can't name one up-and-coming director he'd like to see cast him, which probably says something about the state of the Irish film industry.
GILLEN IS IN Dublin to play Teach in David Mamet's American Buffalo at the Gate. "What interests me most is the simple and straightforward plot: three small-time hustlers, hungry people, attempting to execute a rare coin heist and their efforts to keep on top as it falls apart. But behind that there's the background of the consumer capitalist society that they believe in and are existing on the margins of, and sometimes their efforts are desperate and desperately funny. They're treating each other like junkyard dogs, yet they are human. They're like a family. I think the play's got a heart even if the background is pretty black . . . Living is pretty black."
For the past three years, working on The Wire, he has fallen a little in love with the city it portrays, Baltimore - which likes to call itself "charm city" even though it's an east-coast backwater with a murder rate that's one of the highest in the US. Baltimore has been celebrated by novelist Anne Tyler and film-makers Barry Levinson and John Waters, but for the US public it is journalist David Simon who has explored the "rotten core" of this city, through drama series based on his non-fiction books that read like thrillers. Simon's first venture was Homocide: Life on the Streets, followed by The Corner and now, The Wire, which is about to film its fifth and final season.
Gillen has a real affection for The Wire, which Newsday called "the greatest dramatic series ever produced for television". He speaks passionately about the series' concerns, particularly how the education system is failing boys who have to decide whether to make something of themselves through education or join "the life" of street crime. One of the main characters is a cop turned teacher who becomes personally involved in his students' lives.
I tell him that my mother was a teacher in an all-black school in Baltimore; she kept a mattress for her eight-year-olds to sleep on and gave them money to buy lunch, since they stayed up all night with mothers on drugs and needed sleep and food more than education. He's fascinated to hear that people were trying to save these kids 40 years ago, but says: "I think there's a feeling that things are turning round in Baltimore."
Once we make the Baltimore connection, Gillen becomes himself and starts naming places he's become attached to as he kills time during breaks in filming: the Charles Cinema, which plays every arthouse film on the planet, and the Charles Club, a louche bar recently redesigned by the same designer who has worked on Barry Levinson's films. I tell him I got my European cinema education, for what it's worth, in the Charles Cinema and ask him if he's been to the Block, a porn district so risque in a 1950s kind of way that it's like a time warp. He instantly responds: "The Block. And it's right there in the middle of everything, by city hall!"
Blaze Starr, a stripper whose spinning neon pasties are one of my enduring childhood memories, was practically patron saint of the city when I was growing up there. He's fascinated by this bit of Baltimore porn history. Then we exchange John Waters anecdotes and he tells me that, in Fell's Point, the nutty little shop where Divine held court still exists. The Poles still take pride in their blonde beehives and now call themselves "Huns", he says. "When I get back to Baltimore, I kind of feel, you know, 'home'."
The cast and crew of The Wire can be "a bit cliquish" and Gillen likes his own company, though every weekend he can he flies back to London to see his two young children. As we say goodbye on the street, he vows that he will get a mention of Blaze Starr into The Wire. I watch him pull the collar of his chunky sheepskin suede jacket up around his ears, pat down his hair to make himself innocuous, and disappear into a city where only his old friends recognise him.
