Summary:
In the distant past, the Guardian of the Milky Way galaxy named Lanancuras began to harbor a desire for more power. Because of his connection to the galaxy, he was able to absorb parts of planets and add them to his strength. As a result, he began invading the worlds he was assigned to protect. In the wake of his destruction, a following of creatures from across the galaxy pledged allegiance to Lanancuras and became known as the Kadrians. Taking notice of his ever-growing power and followers, the other Celestial Guardians confronted him; however, he had become too powerful, and they were defeated. Unable to subdue Lanancuras, the Celestial Guardians each gave up a part of their power and combined it into a single new Guardian, Mushra. In a final desperate attempt, they used Mushra's core by transforming it into a powerful card with which to seal Lanancuras in a prison. The prison was created from the remains of planets that had suffered under Lanancuras' tyranny. Because planets are themselves large beings, their combined strength (along with the power of the card) was able to restrain him. Thus Lanancuras was successfully sealed in a large meteorite.
The meteorite was sent off into the galaxy to be sealed forever. Meanwhile, the way Lanancuras had increased his strength had consequences on the planets of the Milky Way On Earth, around the 22nd century, it was in the shape of a virus that merged with human DNA and destroyed the humans that way. In order to eliminate the virus, scientists worked on combining human DNA with the DNA of animals and other creatures immune to the effects. They succeeded and created a sentient race known as Enterrans (a race of engineered Earthlings) which are based on humans, insects, reptiles, birds, sea creatures, wild beasts, and phantom beasts. Eventually, a cure was found and the human race survived.
However, due to Lanancuras' influence, the Enterrans fought their human creators as well as the robots that worked with the humans, driving the human race to a near extinction state. Luckily, a scientist named Dr. Daigo Tatsuro placed his 4-year-old daughter Yakumo in a sleep chamber in hopes that she would save the human race and find the human sanctuary Shinzo and bring peace back to Earth which was then renamed to Enterra. When the meteor that Lanancuras was imprisoned in struck Earth during the earlier parts of the Human-Enterran War, its fragment had struck an infant Yakumo giving her abilities that she would later discover.

BLCD Review: Escape Journey 2
Tumblr media
Title: Escape Journey 2 (エスケープジャーニー 2)
Author/Artist: Ogeretsu Tanaka
Release Date: 2021/03/12
Cast:
Maeno Tomoaki x Nakazawa Masatomo
Furukawa Makoto
Yamashita Seiichirou
Hamano Daiki
Nobuyori Sagara
Synopsis: Escape Journey 2: I Did Not Deserve This Pain
Review Proper
Hello, I am back to reviewing BLCDs. I might be taking a little hiatus from scanning for a while ‘cause of the stress recent national elections events gave me, so might as well finish this log that’s gone on for too long lmao.
Anyway, onto the review.
You know, I knew what I signed up for. I was caught up with this when volume two was airing in the mag and stopped because it was too painful to continue. That was way back when I was a freshman in uni, I think, but I still haven’t finished volume two of the manga up until this day, so WHY DID I EVER THINK THAT LISTENING TO VOLUME TWO OF THE AUDIO ADAPTATION, KNOWING THAT IT WAS GONNA BE A CLIFFHANGER, WAS A GOOD IDEA?!
Tumblr media
I don’t really have much to say about the plot since this isn’t the last installment, so we’ll dive straight into the technicalities.
Casting was perfect ‘cause hello??? Maeno x Nakazawa Masatomo??? AND WHO THE FUCK CASTED MAKONYAN TO BE THE THIRD WHEEL??? IT’S SO PERFECT, BUT WHY DO THIS??? I actually high-key low-key wanted Naoto to end up Nishina ‘cause first of all he has a big fucking
Tumblr media
yea
and second of all, he’s not a rapist asshole with a rude ass family.
Tumblr media
Here I said I wasn’t gonna talk about the plot. Anyway, Makonyan definitely sounds like he owns a goddamn 500cc and has been wanting that Tomo ass since time immemorial, so it’s perfect. Also, can we talk about how Hamano Daiki and Tomo loves Ogeretsu enough to the point of being cast repeatedly in their works. Daiki has three, the fuck.
As for the accuracy to the manga, since I used the magazine releases for the read-along, I got lost so many times lmao. The organization of the scenes were so different in the BLCD! There is a chance that Ogeretsu changed the order in the tankos, but the differences are so huge that I don’t think that’s likely. There were also a lot of cuts and adlibs, so it’s definitely not beginner friendly. To those still wanting to brave it, I’d suggest reading the mag or tank (whichever you have) before listening to the BLCD then reading it with the BLCD later. But to be completely honest, I won’t recommend listening to this right now. Again, it ends up at a cliff-hanger, and if, god-forbid, the studios take another five years to produce the last installment, it would hang you dry for a long ass time. Man, I don’t even know if I’d still be alive in 2026.

Hello Yun! (is it alright if i call you that?) I was waiting for your reply and (。 thank you so much! It's kinda shocking how despite tomoe being alot of girl's crush, there still is isn't much content about him but one of my favourite ocs of all time is probably Hachiro Furukawa bcuz you made him so good! I love his cold yet gentle demeanor Writers like u make me want to interact and led me to make my own stories! Ur gonna see me alot now bcuz I've decided to love this blog💕
Tumblr media
Yesss you can call me that, I don't mind at all.
And right! I get so shitty when I look for Tomoe headcanons because THERE ARE NONE!
I made ocs so I'd be able to just be free with the way I write in general. I'm glad you like it because I was literally winging the whole thing. 😂
I'd like to see what kind of stories you'd make, that's definitely interesting. I love reading and I'd be happy to help you/edit if you need it.
From Yunna.

Entrevista Ryutaro Arimura (Plastic Tree) y Tomo Furukawa (Guniw Tools) Septiembre 1999, Revista Vicious (incompleta)
Revista Vicious, Septiembre 1999
Plastic Tree / Guniw Tools
さん
Notas de Bronny
Esta entrevista tiene su origen en un artículo de tres páginas acerca de las vacaciones de Ryutaro y su peculiar amigo Full (Furukawa Tomo; vocalista y más de Guniw Tools) en un lugar de aguas termales como un proyecto para la revista Vicious. Comencé a traducir el resto del artículo, pero al estar narrado principalmente en 3era persona, me hizo preguntarme cuántas personas estarían realmente interesadas, así que deje la traducción. Desde ese entonces he perdido el resto del artículo, así que por favor no me pidan traducirlo ^^;
Notas de R.Ogawasanさん
Ryutaro: Salimos a cenar o a beber.
¡Larga vida a Vicious! ¡Viva Vicious!
(...)
Notas
* Senpai/kouhai... estoy segura de que conocen su definición e importancia en el estatus de los japoneses.
* La canción de Devilman - es el tema del anime "Devilman". A veces Tarou es irremediablemente lindo... ^^;
* Furu-Furu… una manera tierna (y algo confianzuda, si me lo preguntan XD) con la que Ryutaro llama a Tomo Furukawa, quien además se hacía llamar Full, y al pronunciarlo en japonés suena a Furu.

Are there any videos of people singing the songs Taisou Gikyoku and Youkoso Sougiya E, in English?
I really don’t know. I’d just have to search for them, too.
Oddly enough(?), I’ve never really gotten into the songs for the anime, the musicals, or the character song CD’s…. I’ve never heard any of it sung in English (it would probably have to be altered some to still fit the tunes), and if I’m in the mood for Japanese music, then my automatic go-to is Guniw Tools (or some other project by “Full”/Tomo Furukawa, “Jake Cloudchair”, or Asaki Yamahana).
