“Ir abelas... Vhenan”
Tumblr media
A fanart I made a year ago! I’ve had this idea for quite some time now. It’s a scenario where what if the Inquisitor arrived too late and was engulfed by the mark 😞
I had this idea after replaying the ending of Tresspasser multiple times and just stood by the mirror for so long, the mark just went boom 😅

If I had a penny for everytime I had to track down a mage who turned out to be trouble into an ancient elven mirror where they proceed to announce their undying respect/and or love for me before walking through said mirror.
Id have two penny's. Which isn't a lot but the fact it happened twice....

Anyway, the revelation that the elven gods were actually just uber-powerful mages was cool and good of Bioware.

God I hope Dragon Age 4's ending is in the main game and isn't sold as some additional DLC this time.

I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in a while
Playing a qunari female warrior (blackwall romance don’t judg me) and she don’t even fit in frame! Just half her head sometimes and Varric is literally waist height. This is going to be a good playthrough

You never finished dai? Absolutely no shade, because my best friend (who introduced me to da) finished it like 6 years after they bought the game, but I'm curious how far have you gotten. Also, unrelated, but when you eventually come around to it, i think you will really enjoy tresspasser. I knew everything about it beforehand, but i was surprised how much fun I had actually playing it :)
i haven’t, no! it’s in my bio haha. i’ve gotten, uh, the furthest i’ve gotten is with my human templar girlie helena who made it through wicked eyes & wicked hearts and here lies the abyss and then i had a breakdown about leaving hawke that set off my Don’t Finish The Game disease. i got another playthrough to wicked wicked lately and then dropped it
it’s just getting attached enough to a character when given so little to work with. i’ll make it someday. really excited for all the dlcs! i hear good things

Fellow Bioware fans, specifically for Dragon Age Inquisition- Hear me out on this idea ive had
So what if Bioware did a DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition, similar to Mass Effect's Citadel DLC
(And for those who don't know the Citadel DLC, its an...expansion pack? Or something similar that allows the crew of ME3-Mass Effect 3- to have a shore party on the Citadel. It has mini games to play of all kinds, small scenes with our favorite characters, love interest or not, and even a bit of a quest line to follow that is very hilarious and even more exciting, plus a bit more dialogue added to the game I believe)
Anyhow-What if, despite the circumstances, the inner circle of the Inquisition got something similar. Maybe not a whole vacation in itself but still something, y'know? I know Tresspasser may have did something similar but this is just me imaging fun and more comical with the potential chaos of the Inquisition crew.
Imagine this- romance scenes with the love interests like-
Seeing a more playful side of Cullen as we volunteer to help with dog training. Perhaps finally seeing him without a suit and in some casual clothes for once. I can just imagine a scene of him getting tackled by dogs as our inquisitor is laughing their ass off on the side.
Seeing Cassandra get pulled into relaxing for a bit by reading a story together, maybe her indulging in some fun by voicing the dialogues as our inquisitor is the one to act them out more.
Seeing Solas take us through a bit of an art gallery and pointing out his favorite pieces as he explains the meanings behind it. Then deciding at the end of it that he would like to make a peice with us or paint something in our quarters by our asking.
Seeing our favorite mage, Dorian go out on an actual date with his boyfriend and easing his nerves about being public about it. Him waving them off and saying thats hes fine, but obviously melting once he realizes that no one cares that its two men. And not just that- but him being sassy and playful, flirting with his Amatus as they dine together freely.
Piggybacking off the previous one, if your inquisitor is female and bestfriends with him instead, then the two having a nice day out together. Maybe if he isnt romanced to Bull in that playthrough, then helping him get a small date with someone. Maybe he fails a bit, but is able to laugh about it cause it was less terrifying than he thought compared to home. (You can plainly tell how much I adore this man)
Going to see a Jousting match with The Iron Bull. Maybe not as exciting as Dragons but perhaps Bull can read into the body language and tell whos going to loose, and instead of just telling us, he makes it a game that WE have to guess instead. Romanced version- if we win, hes laughing a bit, saying "Thats my Kadan!" (Jfjsjffs)
Blackwall probably can't do a whole lot, considering after his real identity problem, so maybe he makes pulls together a nice dinner instead. (Mostly for romance version) And somewhat saying towards the end, "You may be the Inquisitor, but you're still a lady, and you should be treated as such."
Look, I havent romanced Black wall that often, but boy- from the scene on youtube, the man can sure show his gentleman side.
And the fact that you can romance him as any race? OOO- Just imagine how much more tender that'll feel for a qunari or eleven inquisitor, LIKE-DKDJSOWNAK MAN WANTS HIS LADY TO BE TREATED LIKE THEY DESERVE
Anyhow, im gettin' off subject-
Helping Cole on a task he asked from us. It could be something so simple as flower picking cause he felt a little girl nearby feeling real upset about something and wanted to help.
I know alot of people have different views of Cole, just like any character, and people see him as either the son or little brother depending on how you go about it. So maybe this can go either way. Especially if your character is elven, they can give him tips on which flowers may be more appropriate or safer to leave for the little one.
(Ignore this if you want- My main Inquisitor is an elven chick named Bellatrix and ive always imagine her having a small soft side for Cole, treating him like a little brother in some areas cause he reminds her of her siblings. )
There are so many ways to go about this whole idea, honestly. And while I don't have many ideas for Sera, Josephine, Leliana, Varric, and Vivienne, I would have loved to see scenes with them in playful moments like these. Like Vivienne shopping with the Inquisitor or Sera going on that promise to make cookies with them and it turns into a whole mess but both end up laughing on the floor, flour caked on.
Out of all the Dragon Age games, Inquisition has to be my l, above all, favorite because of the outright love the characters bring to your character. Whether they are a steel on the outside, light hearted qunari, a playful and chaos making elf, or a soft but proud decision making dwarf with a bit of clumsyness. You cant really say that it doesnt matter what or how your character is, but its true how much it does matter cause it brings just another side of possibilities with such a character.
I apologize for my ranting but if you've taken the time to read this, please share your ideas with me cause even though hasn't made something like this for Dragon age, fans surely bring that idea to light in any way they can💜

The Crossroads [DLC Trespasser]:  Shattered Library; Inverted Ward
Tumblr media
The Shattered Library, or Vir Dirthara, are ruins of an ancient elvhen library, suspended between the Waking World and the Fade. It was the living knowledge of the elvhen empire that comprised libraries of every city and wisdom of every court. When Fen'Harel created the Veil, it weakened magic, making elvhen cities and structures crumbled. Vir Dirthara was one of the countless elvhen marvels that were intrinsically tied to the Fade and dependent on its presence that the Veil fractured. Now it is a series of floating isles that barely have any connection one another.
This place is divided into different sections:
Entrance
Courtyard
Broken Tower
Scholar's Retreat
Sundered Hall
Lower Archives
Inverted Ward
Tumblr media
The first curious thing we see is that the floating isle of the Inverted Ward has two columns decorated with Female Kossith/ Desire demon /Tevinter Warrior: the same statues that decorate the Imperial Highway in the Waking World. Why something Tevinter would appear here? Unless this is something Elvhen co-opted by the Tevinter, but the fact that the warrior is undeniably a Tevinter fighter, I do not contemplate this option of the co-option here. The only thing I find, lore-wise, to explain this, is what Solas told us at the end of Tresspasser: the Shattered Library was connected to the Fade, so maybe it reflected some bits of the Waking World onto the library. We know the Imperial Highway has been developed for decades before the events of the Magister Sidereal. It was, in a sense, a connection between cities of the Waking World. If we remember the codex The Laws of Nature in the Fade, we can understands that the objects with the purpose of connection will appear in the Fade reinforcing its purpose. If the Imperial Highway helped to connect cities, it seems natural to have a reflection of it in this Shattered Library which connected, according The Archivist’s words, cities through records and elvhen through shared memories.
The benefit of seeing them here is that we have a more detailed access to the bottom of these statues that I didn’t have in “Hissing Wastes: Venatori main camp”. We can see the female demon/kossith is standing on a spiralled arrange of skulls and bones. Similar to the warrior.
Tumblr media
Once we visited all the small isles around and activated the red eggs that allow the reconstruction of the main bridge, we have access to this golden hand which holds a nicely decorated eluvian. This one will send us to the Inverted Ward, the massive chamber we see in front of it, upside-down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are welcomed by the Viddasala. There is no much important information going on here. The Qunari think that the Inquisition works for agents of Fen’Harel.
Tumblr media
The central part of this chamber is decorated with two paths of yellow mosaics with the symbol of the asterisk. From the statue of Humanoid Mythal  flows water and fills a rectangular pool in the middle.
Tumblr media
There are Howling Fen'Harel statues in a protecting position, slightly below Mythal statue.
Tumblr media
The configuration, so symmetrical [taking into consideration that some of the statues may have fallen due to the events that happened in this place] seems to suggest that Mythal was honoured in the centre, and had protection from Fen’Harel in three different levels [low front, by her sides, and above her]. The owl also seemed to offer some protection from a bigger distance [if we assume there was another one in the other side to keep it symmetrical], as well as the Eagles [which to me seems such an odd sight in elvhen ruins. Maybe it’s simply a reflection of the Waking World filling the space that the owl should cover? I don’t know].
Tumblr media
And from above and behind Mythal, the most curious detail of all this configuration: Andruil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the sides of this place we see small platforms that have access to other eluvians. They are decorated with Dragon Mythal statue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are small rooms beside the central chamber that contained more books and tables, maybe to have local dissertations and private reading. The upper part of these rooms have particular arcs that we saw on the roof of the Forgotten Sanctuary.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we explore these side-rooms where the Qunari have been sleeping, we trigger some codices like The Risk of Saarebas. It explains two details:
It justifies why the Qunari are here: they have been studying the creation of the Veil. They think it was done by stripping power from the evanuris. They want to repeat the process to strengthen the Veil.
In order to do so, they are using their own saarebas, “immersing them in a sea of magic until it seems impossible for them to do anything but drown”. This may explain why we have been reading and seeing Saarebas overdosed with Lyrium and why the need of mining so much lyrium in the Deep Roads.
In this room we find an owl statue that we had seen in some Andrastian places like Therinfal Redoubt and in Skyhold, in the war table room as well as the Inquisitior’s personal library.
Tumblr media
These places are decorated with a rug I can’t identify.
Tumblr media
As I said before, the configuration of the Inverted Ward places Mythal in a central, honoured spot.
Tumblr media
Behind her, there is a small corridor with an eluvian that heads to the Courtyard.
Tumblr media
On top of this corridor’s eluvian, we see once more this peculiar symbol: two Golden Rings, one inside the other, and an elven orb in the middle.
Tumblr media
Behind the Elven Owl statues we find two mosaics of Fen’Harel.
Tumblr media
At the left corner, there is a broken eluvian blocked with purple fire. Solas must have destroyed this access. The interesting detail is that inside the chest we find here, we find the schematics of Elgar’nan Enaste [Bless or favour of Elgar’nan], a powerful bow.
Tumblr media
At the right side, we see another broken eluvian
Tumblr media
Behind Mythal’s statue, we find the last piece of The Archivist.
Tumblr media
There is something interesting how you see Mythal’s statue when you are coming out from the central eluvian:  The light scatters around her giving a feeling of powerful and angelic and divine.

Ciao my friend 👋😃
For your Curator Caos (also goes by Havoc as you mentioned), please.
I would love to know...
ALL
about this character, if you don't mind. Secrets, curiosities, crazy stuff and everything in between 😉
Endless thanks in advance 😏👍
I got the idea from the Curator from the Dark Anthology games. I liked the idea of conscious, omniscient observer who doesn't interfere with anyone's free will but will interact with the universes local inhabitants.
He looks pretty much the same in every universe. Black hair with shaved sides, one blue eye and one red with black sclera and tailored three piece suit with black and green being the main colors with gold as the trim.
His race traits are dependent on whatever the dominant life is in whatever universe he inhabits at any given time. So, if he were in, let's say, Arlathan (Dragon Age), he would have a slender, lithe build, larger eyes, and pointed ears to better blend in with elven society. If he were to find himself on Aya (Mass Effect: Andromeda) then he would resemble an Angaran. His age, or rather the age he appears to be, could be described as indiscernible; meaning you can't really tell.
He sort of functions like an Archivist, a spirit of wisdom that once "knew all" from the Dragon Age Tresspasser DLC. He records any and all information, stories, history and important events, or rather the libraries he resides in records it all for him. Within the confines of his library, he gains the ability to "know all." Meaning that only inside his library is he omniscient. Once he leaves, he looses that ability.
Currently, he resides in Tevinter in an undiscovered, underground and very ancient library that is connected to all his other libraries across countless realities via a doorway similar to an Eluvian.
