Summary: On March 6th, 2008, Kageyama Shigeo disappeared. In October 2022, Reigen Arataka, fourteen, defeats or at least temporarily inconveniences the spirit of Mogami Keiji, and encounters a skittish, terrified man giving his name only as "Mob". Arataka is not equipped to deal with this, so he delegates to the most qualified adult he knows -- his former boss Kageyama Ritsu. It's a rough night for all of them.

POTO Fic: Trio Sonata
Chapter 1
Summary:
To save Erik from the mob’s wrath, Christine asks him to leave the lair with her and Raoul. But what was meant to be simply one final act of compassion leads to escalating consequences, and soon all three of them find themselves on the run from France – together.
Can former enemies learn to trust? Forgive? Even care for each other?
Can fear truly turn to love?
And who is the mysterious masked man hunting them, who seems to know all of the Phantom’s deadliest tricks?
~~~ The first chapter in the canon divergence E/C/R longfic I've been plotting and researching for the past several months. It's going to be a bit of a slow burn (with more than a little danger and angst on the way), but hopefully readers will find it worth it!
NOTE 1: Nothing NSFW happens in the first chapter, but the M-rating will apply in later chapters.
NOTE 2: This takes place in the same continuity as Imprints In Time, and references some things from that (mostly involving Madame Giry's history with Erik). Reading the first story isn't strictly required, but it helps.
Can you recommend some favourite woodwind pieces? Like quartets and so on. Maybe something from the Haydn / Mozart era, or maybe not! I've been meaning to listen to more instrumental music. Thank you!
the haydn london trios (written for 2 flutes and cello but i've played it them on oboe before, chamber music of the period was often written to be played with interchangeable instruments; fl/vln/cello is also common)
adolphe deslandres pièces en quintette (mvt 1 2 3) (this is later romantic, not classical, but i have a fondness for it, plus i think it's lesser known)
beethoven oboe trio op 87 (mvt 1 2 3 4) and variations on la ci darem la mano
mozart oboe quartet (mvt 1 2 3)
mozart clarinet quintet (mvt 1 2 3 4)
strauss serenade for winds (also late romantic. includes brass but gd damn i love this piece)
dvorak serenade for winds (mvt 1 2 3 4) (i'm only really familiar w mvt 1 but it's dvorak so the rest of it has to be good too)
the telemann canonic sonatas (baroque, not instrument specific but this album is two flutes)
basically this whole album (oboe quartets by fiala and krommer) (can you tell what instrument i play yet)
one of my new fav things about having spent my entire life as a Weirdo Outcast is that while everyone else in my age group is lamenting about feeling like they’re ~getting old~ because they no longer know what The Cool Kids are up to these days and don’t know what’s groovy and hip, I, who have never been groovy OR hip, am feeling just fine. 😊
