Kyou Kara Ore wa!! / From Today It’s My Turn!! (2018)
There’s a few comedy J-dramas that I’ve watched but this is by far my favourite. It never fail to make me smile and laugh no matter how bad my day is. The characters are lovable and the chemistry are strong. The comedy is so crazy and ridiculous that I question their sanity. The fight scenes are cool.
Takashi Mitsuhashi (Kento Kaku) just moved into town and is starting his student life in a new school so he wants to create a lasting first impression. He decides to get rid of his boring looks and black hair by something bold and fresh to give off a delinquent vibes so that he can’t be bullied.
Shinji Ito (Shinji Ito) is another new student who wants to have a different image as well and they both started off the wrong foot getting on each other’s nerves before they both allied themselves against common enemies, the other bullies. The duo’s defeat of the bullies increase their reputation in school and beyond.
This attract the attention of girls school gang leader, Kyoko Hayakawa (Kanna Hashimoto) whose gang came under threat from a boys school gang elsewhere and decides to seek help from the duo, Mitsuhashi and Ito. Ito became infatuated with her and the two eventually got attracted to each other.
While not a delinquent, Riko Akasaka (Nana Seino) is a fierce fighter like Kyoko. She’s the school monitor who ensures the school fights doesn’t get out of hand and perceives Mitsuhashi as a bad influence to the juniors. The two always get on each other’s nerves until Mitsuhashi realises he’s in love with her.
Katsutoshi Imai (Taiga Nakano) is a delinquent from another school who always end up in the middle of the gang fights involving Mitsuhashi and Ito. While he respects Ito for having the same sense of honour as him, he hates Mitsuhashi who play tricks to win and his crush on Riko further adds fuel to their rivalry.
Satoshi Katagiri (Nobuyuki Suzuki) and Takeshi Sagara (Hayato Isomura), the most formidable gang leaders that can match Ito and Mitsuhashi who are the main antagonist of the drama. They are not only skilful in street fights but resourceful in figuring out different ways to beat Ito and Mitsuhashi.

It’s a fun and entertaining drama to watch, which helps you forget your life problems with good laughs. The action scenes are surprisingly good. I love seeing Kanna Hashimoto and Nana Seino kicking butts. The comedy level is just crazy that you can see the actors wanting to laugh every now and then.
Hi! The leadup to spoopy times this past week, and the music kinda shows that somewhat. Next playlist is when the spoops really kick off, so look forward to that.
This is an English translation of Kei Sarukawa’s song “Double Down! Lifelong Rebellion.” Song is on all streaming sites.
Please be advised that this is merely a translation into English and may not be 100% accurate.
Any questions, concerns, theories, or feedback is appreciated! Thank you for reading.
TL Notes:
Tsuppari is a delinquent/punk. Like a Yankee <3
How do I even begin to explain 夜露死苦 (yoroshiku, not to be confused with 宜しく which also reads yoroshiku) First of all, 宜しく is the proper way to say “best regards/please take care of me/pleased to meet you” as in yoroshiku onegai shimasu in greetings. HOWEVER, 夜露死苦 is a pun/slang on 宜しく used by Bōsōzoku (biker delinquents in Japan). It’s still a greeting, just written differently for the irony.
Come on! One-shot life (Fu! Fu!)
Just do it! Lifelong rebellion
Hell yeah! One-shot life (Fu! Fu!)
Double down! Lifelong rebellion
When the chime rings, I’ll headbutt instead of saying hey (Wow Wow Wow)
At the same time, I’ll tear up my schoolbooks and toss ‘em out (LONE WOLF)
No matter what anyone tells me to do (No! No! No!)
One after another, I’ll keep brushing them off
I’ll dodge the tailwind (Hum Hum)
And fight the headwind (Woosh)
Who cares about “logic”
Quit complainin’!
I’ll turn my back and run fast (Wa-fu!)
That’s the only way I’ll live
I’ll send you flying, Hide away (Hide away)
I am (You are) the way I am (the way you are)
Keep pushing on
Leaving (leaving) that town behind (town behind)
I’m a man’s man (Go away)
Go, and don’t look back
Sound it out, sound it out, sound it out, sound it out (Wow Wow)
The roar of the delinquent call
If you’re gonna pick a fight, you better really want it
I’m goin’ to town to settle some scores
Wipe the dirt off your back
And what’s left is the way of a man’s man
I’ll do whatever the hell I want
Even if you lend a hand, don’t start blabbin’ your mouth
Engine circuits are all over the place
Full throttle, vroom vroom vroom!
The more they tell you to stop, the faster you go
Wreck the Highway (Highway)
Ignore them (Go ahead) Go my own way (My way)
Keep pushing on
We don’t need (Brakes) no brakes (Need em)
I’m a man’s man (Always)
I’ll go even faster, with just the accelerator
Raising my middle finger to the “finger pointers”
Stick it to them, my answer is NO!
T・S・U・P・P・A・R・I
Thanks for havin’ me!
I don’t need no fake links
I gave up on those a long time ago…
I’ll send you flying, Hide away (Hide away)
I am (You are) the way I am (the way you are)
Keep pushing on
That town is (that town) is my… (your)
… I ain’t lost no more
Wreck the Highway (Highway)
I ain’t ever (ever) givin’ up (My way)
Raise my fist up high
I’ll howl, howl, howl howl
Howl, howl, howl, howl (Wow Wow)
I’m a rock ‘n’ roll, rebelling “delinquent!”
Come on! One-shot life (Fu! Fu!)
Just do it! Lifelong rebellion
Hell yeah! One-shot life (Fu! Fu!)
Double down! Lifelong rebellion!!!
The Akazaya start a tennis team, what are each of their special moves?
Okay...you know I'm gonna have to take this one way too seriously to the point it's uncomfortable for most of the audience or actually really fun.
See, first we need to understand two things. One, the Akazaya are used to using melee weapons. So ball-and-bat sports of any stripes are in their wheelhouse. Two, they are fiercely competitive with each other. So if we assume the type of team match structure like in Prince of Tennis...
Kiku/Kawamatsu: Second doubles team. The gang likes to lead with a nice, likely win to set the tone and these two are a phenomenal pair. Like Kikumaru/Oishi they're good at the Aussie Formation. Just like in real life, Kiku sits up at the net doing the work of two people with her speed and ridiculous reach...and Kawamatsu is the best at noticing when she's stretching herself too thin. Kiku's specialty is headgames, a big windup that can be absolutely smashing the ball but she can also pull back last second to have it just plop on the other side of the net. Calls it the Fainting Flower. Kawamatsu has his Tsuppari Smash...palms a racket for a sumo thrust that's just a freakin laser.
Kin'emon/Denjiro: First doubles. Kin is a lucky fuckup and Denjiro best knows how to capitalize. Kin's two-sword style makes him a gifted ambidextrous player. But he's not the quickest thinker so he focuses on the serve. His special one is the Foxfire Slice. Flame makes it hard to tell which direction it'll bounce. Denjiro...very skilled. Type to have something like the Tezuka Zone. A defensive pattern where he can really control his opponent. The two will also use Kin's fruit for shenanigans.
Ashura Doji: He had to work really, really hard late nights with Kiku to learn how to hit the ball gently enough it doesn't go out. Third singles, absolute bully on the court. His specialty? Smashing it at his opponent. Always thought tennis was lowkey hardcore for that being a feasible strategy.
Toki: Second singles. She was there when the game was invented. Always seeks it out and was the one who introduced it to Wano. It's a perfectly proper game for a noblewoman to play. She relies on a very refined shot she takes way too much pleasure in naming Togen Topspin.
Raizo: The star, he gets fair treatment in some of these. First singles, doesn't need his fruit to do this but he's the copycat player. Loves beating people with their own moves. Unfortunately, unlike Prince of Tennis's Hiroshi...this does not land Raizo a female fanbase.
Oh...and Neko/Inu. Look, nature wins out sometimes. You can't be good at tennis if your first instinct is to pounce on the ball & bat it around or chomp down and bring it back to your opponent.

one day all of you will hear me burst into tears over how saru slowly gets softer as the series goes on and how at the beginning he didnt care about anyone (other than somewhat iori) but from ryuus "intro" to his tsuppari break he starts trusting everyone SO much more (and i think its seen more easily from fumiyas charisma break all the way to sarus tsuppari break) and. Nintendo Switch Online: Every NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64, Sega Genesis, And GBA Game
Nintendo has been slowly beefing up its library of games available to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
What began as a library of just 20 NES games has grown to include dozens more. Plus, Nintendo has since introduced SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, and even Sega Genesis games, giving players a chance to play some fan-favorite classics and some deep cuts, too. It’s hard to predict when new games might arrive as the company has maintained a somewhat inconsistent cadence in doing so, but that’s okay because this list is all you need.
As Nintendo adds new titles, we’ll be sure to update this list to include them. If you’re looking for something specific, use this story’s Table of Contents to jump to the different consoles quickly. Here’s every NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64, Genesis, and GBA game added to Nintendo Switch Online.
