My animatic's out! Yippee! Wahoo! And as per usual, you guys get to see some of the frames that I used for the animatic. Only some.

It was actually really nice to just not do an intensive animatic, this time round. Even though it's still pretty effortful in some areas (like the rendering, and the perspective, and the animation I did at the end). But I'm happy with it!

Sell-Sword, Chapter One, Part Four

You know better than to ask Bladewife for any special treatment. The famous sell-swords get to pick and choose their contracts, but you're a relative newcomer still making your name. You'll take the job you're given.

And you'll do it well.

Finlas agrees, when you tell him about the contract. "It'll be fine," he assures you. "Smooth all the way."

He keeps saying that, even after you get in the boat, with the sunset around you turning the surface of the sea to silver. "See? Fine. I'll even take the oars."

He rows well, at least, the sun-bronzed muscles of his arms straining and relaxing in a steady rhythm. And he grins at you while he's doing it. He's probably trying to flirt. But there's that uncanny gleam still dancing in his eyes, and has the water gone perfectly still around you?

Is that distant singing you hear? A woman, or a chorus of women, wailing in lament?

Finlas doesn't acknowledge it, but his smile goes a bit rictus, and he drops his gaze. He strains at the oars a little harder. The moment—if it was a moment—passes.

And then you've made it: the cheesemonger's grotto, right where you were told it would be. At low tide there's a small beach before the cave opening, but you and Finlas carry the rowboat inside, and moor it to the docks within.

The smell here is indescribable. There's the brine of the sea, the crumbling earth of the caverns, and the fecund richness of the blooming cheeses housed within. It's not exactly a bad smell and not exactly a good one, just intense.

You're in for a long night of patrolling some cheese caves.

there was an elephant bush with pretty blooms at the (chain retailer) plant store that was too big for us to buy. so we snagged a couple of straggling branches from one pot.

I don’t condone stealing but propagation is just too easy to buy a giant plant I don’t have space for (we bought like 6 other plants anyway).

Hey, sorry if this has been asked/answered already and I missed it, but I was hoping it was okay to ask; I just watched the post of you releasing the birds into their aviary and I was wondering where their baby went?

Adopted! Truancy went to someone from tumblr, actually, I'll let her tag herself if she wants to.

Ringneck doves do get territorial, though they're such wimpy babies that sometimes people fail to recognize their fights for what they are. (Males will peck and wing chop but females have been known to have wars of attrition where they literally starve an opponent out of an ideal nesting spot. ) So it's best to adopt away the babies, since I don't have the room for multiple nest territories when they're indoors for the winter. This also helps prevent inbreeding.

Arson and Larceny have actually had a bunch of babies, and they've even got grandbabies out there! Their kids are Forgery, Fraud, Joyriding, Jaywalking, Vehicular Manslaughter, and Truancy. All of them went to happy homes where they can have the space they need.

No, she has to go and steal someone else’s recipe to exploit.And we need to know that the theft is one of the aspects that she gets off on—that she took something from someone else and now it’s hers, AND she got away with it. It brings her narc mind a kind of joy, but not joy as we normies understand joy. It’s the narcissistic high.
