Ever since i was a wee little child before i knew who of moomin characters based on who in real life, before i knew gay people exist, i still clocked tuu-tikki as a butch. That's gaydar for ya.

Some context:

From what I've heard, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden did not kill the birds (thankfully). Basically the birds just flew and slammed into a lighthouse and died.

Don't ask where the original comic is from, I don't know that either. I found the photo on Tumblr (a.k.a. here!) and decided to redraw it. What an original idea!

For those wondering:

Too-Ticky is her actual English name. No idea where "Too-Tikki" came from. It sounds like a mix between her Finnish name (Tuu-Tikki) and her English name.

Also I made the birds into seagulls.

Too-Ticky is done! I dropped her as I was doing her hair and broke a needle, hopefully, I'll find the broken bit and it's not in her head. I checked and couldn't feel it so there's a good chance I'll find the piece later.

This is Tuu-tikki or Too-ticky (English spelling) a very nonbinary character from my fav children’s books, The Moomin series by Tove Jansson. 

Totally underrated character. Every single person who knows Moomins loves Snufkin (well, me too...), but there’s not much talking going on about Tuu-tikki who uses she/her pronouns (at least in Polish version), but is so nonbinary and is inspired by author’s partner, Tuulikki Pietilä. (Yup, Tove Jansson was bi/lesbian... hard to say cause she had some male lovers, but eventually ended up choosing woman. I do not dare to label her.) 

Tuu-tikki is a craftsperson, calm, composed, a little bit enigmatic. In winter she lives in a bathouse by the sea with invisible mice.

Oh, the title is the link to Taikatalvi by Nightwish. This song is inspired by Moominland Midwinter, the book in which Tuu-tikki appears for the first time.
