hi lola! it is actually not very exciting i'm afraid. my best friend is an incredible enabler and she watched it for the first time in 2021, then could not stop talking and reblogging gifs about it that eventually convinced me to start watching it in like... february 2022 i'm pretty sure?

i remember the pilot being kinda eh, but i really loved damon (i'm sorry i remember reading you say you weren't a fan of his lol) once 1x06 rolled around, i was hooked. the flashbacks and meeting katherine were so fun, and from then on, it was full speed ahead.

and i uh. have not finished it yet lol so there's that. we watched the first three seasons together, and i kept seeing all this stuff online about how they were the best and things go downhill after that so i definitely forced us to stretch them out longer than we needed to. she jumped off for s4 and s5 and i don't blame her for it because those were Rough (tm). and now she's back on for s6 which we just watched 6x05 a few days ago so i'm imagining i'll have this finished by 2025 approximately lmfao (she has told me she's jumping off again after we finish s6 because experiencing s7 and s8 once was enough for her. i'm only slightly terrified and will probably be stretching out s6 in light of that)
