THE GREEN GRASS GUYS

Well, this is really interesting. The only place where we've seen grass was this spot, under a hole we've fallen into and the sun illuminates it. So like it might be a coincidence or it might be a heavy implication that grass only grows where the sun shines.

What's interesting is that Toby chooses which question to answer and he choose this one and left it at the very end of the interview, because he knows the importance of that question.

When I try to understand what this means I think about what Toby wanted to say, like Sans never finished the question and Papyrus was interrupted so obviously Toby wanted to keep some sort of mystery there, but green grass??? He knew what we would think about green grass, of course he knew. Maybe he wanted to troll us? Maybe he wanted to give us a hint? We have no idea!

Upd: the grass also grows in Asgore's garden but the sun shines there too!

Two places with grass and both of them have the sun...

I need to remind y’all, Flowey disappears post pacifist. Loading the game after going to the surface results in Flowey being GONE.

Even though he SHOULD be Asriel, he’s GONE. Not at the flowers anymore.

But this could also be Frisk or Chara! They were the ones exploring the underground. While Flowey did, too, we’re most familiar with them.

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY UNDERTALE

This game genuinely changed my life (for better or for worse is up to you) and it's fucking crazy that it's been eight years already. I was so young way back when I watched DanTDM's old let's play, doing role-plays outside at recess with my friends in the fourth grade (I was Papyrus, obviously) and drawing in my old sketchbook cringe as hell Sans AU comics.

After all this time, I'm still a huge supporter of Toby and his work and I still love Undertale. I didn't properly grasp the genius of it back then, the music, the art, the humour, the story, it's legit a masterpiece.

Thank you, Toby Fox, for everything you've done. I've been through hardships in life and your game was most certainly one of the best parts of my childhood.
