i did find out from a youtube comment just now apparently a lot of my grievances with how mr grizz is written in the story mode compared to salmon run not being very consistent with each other might just be an inconsistent translation thing. isnt it always

Propaganda Under the Cut

Mario's 35th anniversary splatfest was the unofficial last splatfest of splatoon 2, Pearl's Team Mushroom won possibly due to the fact Team Superstar had too many player's, there for had nothing but mirror matches causing the two team's to hardly ever meet.

The Desert Island Splatfest was won by Shiver's Team Gear, this splatfest was mostly undisputed since it was only the second one, however Team Gear was significantly more popular than the other two team's and tri-colour battle's where virtually non-existent making it hard for the leading team to defend their number one spot.

Go to Greeting Splatfest was the most recent splatfest and the first regional splatfest of Splatoon 3, it ended with a unexpected Shiver victory, Many people on team Fist Bump and Hug didn't even encounter Team Handshake, this lead many people to dispute the outcome some even claiming "It was impossible for Handshake to win"

UM x splatoon 🐙🦑

chimata is an octoling, the only thing she really cares about is tableturf battles. she’s a bit too dependent on megumu (who fished her out of the gutters or something) and mains undercover brella.  tsukasa mains clash blaster and is extremely annoying. however, she is a spectacularly salty loser, so she at least plays objective BUT she’ll always blame everyone else whenever they lose a match. an all-around menace. megumu is the unofficial team leader and is just here to have a good time. she never sleeps during splatfest and mains e-liter 4k. she has horrifyingly accurate aim... whenever she’s taking things seriously. momoyo is also here for a good time. she prefers salmon run for the chaos/carnage and often forgets the objective in ranked battles. mains octobrush. always top frag.

because i love you guys im gonna expand on the splatoon headcanon i have for vosim!!! its one of my oldest headcanons and i hope you guys like this!!!! this mostly strays from twitter canon but this is just something purely out of comfort :]

vosim has known about splatoon for a long time but initially never thought much about it. a long time later (i'm thinking 2019) he found that dee was playing splatoon 2 on their switch. this made vosim stim!!!!! he loved all the pretty colors and the characters and the whole theme to it, but couldnt afford the game, let alone a nintendo switch!!! dee saw that vosim seemed interested in splatoon and even offered to let him try it out. HE LOVED IT SO MUCH. it took him a while to get used to the controls but he got used to it eventually!! at first he tried rollers and brushes and he picked that up pretty well!! then he jumped onto the splatling, then chargers. the dynamo roller and the e-liter 4k was his favourite weapon to work with!! after that, dee would let him borrow their switch every now and then, and he'd play splatoon for a couple of hours. he even got a taste of the final splatfest, but got sad when he realised that was the last proper splatfest (he didnt experience the reruns as, well, he was dead for like 9 months lol). from the day he tried out splatoon 2, he decided to try to save up for a switch, and hopefully splatoon.

fast forward to mid/late 2021: vosim is struggling to save up thanks to being out of a job thanks to covid, as well as the fact he was dead for 9 months. dee catches onto this, and tries to help him out. but there was something vosim didn't know: dee had been saving up for a switch for vosim around the same time he started to save up for one, with the help of dandy and a few others.

skipping to late april 2022!! dee had just about enough money to get him a switch!! they got it (dee specifically got him a blue switch lite alongside splatoon 2), and all they had to do was wait for the right time to give it to him, a day where he'd least expect a great surprise. they remembered that vosim's (unofficial) bday was coming on the 27th of may..... hm...... vosim's bday arrived, and dee doesnt give him it immediately. they wanted him to surprise him the moment he least expected it. after a nice day out (i headcanoned that dee took vosim out to the aquarium and he loved every moment of it - however vosim was confused to why dee was spoiling him so much that day), dee finally surprises him. um. dee had never seen vosim stim so fucking much in such a small amount of time. he was even more shocked when he found his friends came together and helped dee with the gift <:] he almost immediately set up his switch and was there playing through the story mode all night (bad idea, he was so fixated on the game that he didnt charge himself up, leaving him a bit loopy afterwards lol). vosim knew about splatoon 3 from watching the directs and with the money he had saved before, he preordered it almost immediately after it was made available. the obsession just went on from there: he experienced splatfests properly for the first time, he loved the story mode, he joined some squidparties and even started a few squidparties!! :]

splatoon 2 and splatoon 3 are the only games he has right now but he plans on getting more in the future....

connor sort of spearheads the runners as an unofficial leader! he’s a rather lazy, LAZY boy, and much prefers to let his team mow down salmonid and pick up the eggs himself– while this helps reach the quota, this doesn’t help the encroaching waves of salmonid that tend to group up… this even reflects when he plays turf war, and simply blasts people by walking about!

other than, he’s warm and friendly, and would happily stay up with you watching bad movies and eating pizza! connor prefers to talk down situations as opposed to fighting, loves the squid sisters more than off the hook ( but enjoys both! ) and his fancy dress style is unparalleled!

she loves to play ranked ( rainmaker especially ) and doesn’t touch turf war as much as most inklings do, and will happily guzzle hot sauce for a nickel. dani loves going to amusement parks to ride all the roller coasters, collects buttons to put on her backpack, and if given the opportunity, would go out to catch fireflies!

he’s a very sweet, shy boy, who loves to cheer people up and supports from the sides in both turf war and salmon run! windsor’s hobbies include partaking in splatfests, watching funny videos on the internet, spending time with his family and friends, and collecting stickers to put on his laptop.

It was for the global testfire, but they still make reference to it in the full game (like the bits about putting mayo on cake and ketchup on ice cream), so it’s canon.

[Sat 7-15-17]: The 1st Splatfest World Premiere of 2017 is going to end in less than an hour! the theme is Cake vs Ice cream. Pick a side and duel it out on the field! Jump on it if u can. its fun! Unofficial ghetto random review: Had several matches. Pretty fun. the only annoyance, but I do understand why, is that everything u do in this splatfest does not get transfer to the main game. its gives me less incentive to keep playing this splatfest in all honesty.
