"Maybe I'm Better Off Dead" Velaryon!Reader x Aemond Targaryen
Tumblr media
Summary: After the death of Lucerys, Aemond takes Visenya, the surviving sister of Lucerys, back with him to Kings Landing. Warning: if its in HoTD it's in here
I stood in the hall of Storms End, waiting for what seemed like hours, my hand never moving from the hilt of my sword. Luke knew Aemond wouldn't give up, so he flew off first and I was to follow after a while.
"My Lord thank you for your time as a gracious host. I will return home now." I gave a small curtsey to Lord Baratheon and turned to leave just as the doors opened.
I knew immediately by the look on his face that something was horribly wrong. All the earlier arrogance and even the anger he had directed at my brother was gone from his face. He looked shocked and even, perhaps, a little afraid.
"Uncle, I was just-" He cut me off without even glancing at me.
"My Lord, I ask that you would detain the Lady Visenya until I bring her with me to Kings Landing." He had regained some of his composure, enough that Lord Baratheon paused.
"I cannot get involved with this war in such a treasonous manner."
"I'm afraid Rhaenyra Targaryen will be angered with you regardless after the death of her son just above your home." I charged at him so quickly that he was the only one to react in time to stop me.
"You killed my brother!" I screamed at him, attempting to strike him with my sword, but he simply overpowered me and pulled it from my grasp. It clattered along the floor as he tossed it aside. I continued to try and fight against him, but he was twice my size and it was useless.
"I already told you boy, I will not have bloodshed in my home. You will take the girl to Kings Landing at once and your brother will provide me the protection you promised." Lord Baratheon commanded.
"Let me go!" I screamed, fighting as he dragged me along with him, out into the courtyard where my dragon screeched and fought against her chains. I heard a much louder roar and turned to see Aemond's dragon, Vhagar. I saw the unmistakable crimson around her jaws and my heart clenched. "You monster!" I sobbed, feeling helpless and entirely alone. He didn't respond, but kept pulling me toward the beast that had murdered my brother and his dragon. My fighting did nothing to detour him as he lifted me onto Vhagar above him, pushing me up as he climbed until we were both sat in the saddle. He pulled out some rope from one of the bags on the saddle and bound my hands in front of me, securing them to the saddle, so I had no escape. "I hate you and I swear to you that you will die screaming." I growled at him, mustering every ounce of hatred I could, despite knowing he could feel my body trembling.
"Sōvēs." He said, ignoring my threat, and commanding his dragon to take me to the home of my enemies.
"Vhagar killed Luke and Arrax. Now you're taking me to you mother and grandsire to have them kill me. I suppose that makes you a coward." I taunted him as he carefully helped me off Vhagar with surprisingly gentle hands.
"They're not going to kill you." He said, still not looking me in the eye.
"I wish they would." I muttered, finally drawing his gaze. His eyes softened slightly as he took in my tear soaked face.
"I'm truly sorry about Luke, I didn't intend-"
"Then you're stupid. You chased a child and a young dragon with a hundred year old dragon that was one of three dragons that burned half the country during the Conquest. You don't control her. You're simply too arrogant to see that and now my brother is dead." My hands were still bound and the top of my head barely reached his sternum, but I could tell, I struck a nerve. His jaw tensed and his eyes rapidly searched my face as he considered a response.
Eventually he said, "he took my eye."
"Now you took his life. I hope your revenge was worth it." I tried to use my shoulder to wipe away the tears that had fallen. I would not cry before the King and his advisors.
That is exactly where Aemond took me. It was just before dawn as he marched me into the council room. Aegon wore the crown of his namesake as he sat in the chair directly in front of me. On his right sat his grandsire and his hand Otto Hightower, Ser Criston Cole who was presumably his Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, my uncle, Lord Larys Strong, and a Lord Jasper Wyld. To his left was his mother, though she had no true seat on the council. Next to her was Grand Maester Orwyle, and finally Ser Tyland Lannistor, who had once competed for my mothers affections. I glared at each of the traitors before me with all the wrath of my birthright as a Princess.
"Uncle." I said with no move to curtsey.
"You will address your King with respect, bastard." Cole commanded.
"It's alright, she's had a difficult night I hear. Her elder brother and his dragon lay in pieces at the bottom of Shipbreaker Bay." Aegon taunted and I felt my heart twist painfully at the brutality of his words, but I steeled myself to give no reaction. "Shall we have her executed?" He suggested and I hated that I shrunk back against Aemond. Perhaps I imagined it, but I thought I felt his hand tighten against my arm.
"No. We will not kill her. There has already been enough bloodshed." Alicent spoke for the first time. "Rhaenyra will see reason and bend the knee."
"She will not and you know it. You betrayed her when you stole her throne and now you have allowed the murder of her son." I decided that if I was going to be executed then I may as well speak my mind.
"Your grace, if it pleases you, perhaps it is best to keep the girl as a prisoner, to persuade Rhaenyra to bend the knee." Otto Hightower added in support of his daughter.
"What of her dragon?" Tyland Lannister inquired.
"I shall arrange for the beast to be killed." Ser Criston replied, glancing at Aegon for approval to which he nodded.
"No!" I tried to shoot forward, but Aemond was expecting it and held me even tighter against his chest.
"We will keep her dragon chained in the dragon pit, as they already have more dragons and we could use the addition. As for Visenya, I will take her as my wife and either her mother will bend the knee and I will reside on Dragonstone with my wife or she will refuse and Visenya will remain here with me." Aemond spoke with all his usual confidence and I realized in his silence on the way over here, he was made this plan.
"I will not-"
"You will obey your King or I swear it that you will suffer the consequences. Mother, you will prepare the plans for the wedding and it will be held in two days." Aegon commanded with only the fraction of the authority he believed that he possessed.
"Your grace, are you sure that it is wise to bind your brother to a bastard?" Otto questioned.
"The hand does as the King commands and you will not question me again." Aegon spat. "Aemond, you shall keep her in your chambers. Ser Criston, double your men outside and have them to seal the windows. Dear niece, I will have the ladies prepare a dress fit for a Princess." I glared at him, though it had no effect. He held all the power here and I was simply a prisoner at his mercy.
Aemond pulled my arm and led me out of the room. We made our way through the halls without either of us saying a word until we reached his chambers. He removed his sword and left it by the door before opening the door for me to enter.
Once it shut behind us and I heard a latch snap, he turned to me. "I'm going to remove these. Don't do anything stupid, please." I didn't respond, but I also didn't try to resist as he undid the ropes around my wrists. "Tomorrow, I presume my mother will have more clothes for you, but for tonight-" He tossed me what I presumed was his small clothes. He didn't wait for my response as he went behind the screen to change his own clothes. I had only taken a small step forward to search for a weapon or an escape when he spoke again, "I would be disappointed if you didn't try, but I assure you, there is no escape and the guards have removed any weapons." I huffed in frustration, but he was right, I would not be giving up. "Are you decent or are you still searching for a plan?" He asked after a few moments.
"Just a moment," I replied. I was in fact searching for a plan and had made no moves to change. Though he seemed to be remaining on the other side of the screen, I hid around the corner as I removed my soaked dress and small clothes, only now realizing how cold I was. His small clothes fit as I expected they would, the sleeves down far past the tips of my fingers and the hem pooling in excess around my feet. "Alright." I said, poking around the corner.
He erupted into laughter the moment he saw me. I scowled in response, folding my arms, uncomfortably around my stomach while also gathering as much of the fabric as I could to cover myself. I also ensured as much distance between us as the room would allow. I had never been alone with a man, not even Daemon or my father, it was always to preserve my maidenhood for my husband. My mother had explained it to me some, as her only daughter, but she ensured me that she would share more with me before my wedding. She promised to marry me to a gentle and kind man, a man I loved. Aemond was none of those things and while he may have spared my life tonight, he also took the life of my brother.
His laughter quieted as he took in my face. "I will not harm you." He said raising his hands. "I know that you have no reason to believe that and I know that you hate me, but I swear to you that I will not force you into anything. I only suggested us to be wed so that my brother would not kill you or worse."
I bit my lip as tears fell once again, "You killed Luke and took me prisoner, why should I trust anything you have to say?"
He glanced at the door and took a few steps closer to me. I immediately gasped and shot backward, only running into the wall. He noticed and retreated quickly. His voice dropped to a whisper, "No one will believe you if you repeat this. I truly mean it, I am deeply sorry and I never meant to kill Lucerys. I will regret my actions until my very last day." I watched his adams apple bob as he swallowed. "The only thing I can do is to try to make it right with you. I know that you could not be allowed to return to Dragonstone; however, I knew that by offering up a marriage, my brother would spare your life."
I shook my head. He did tell them not to kill me, but I still couldn't trust him. I was completely alone here and if I was going to survive here, I couldn't let Aemond or anyone else trick me.
"I'm going to sleep over there, okay?" He pointed sofa between us. "You can take the bed." When I didn't respond he took a small step forward and when I didn't react, he continued forward. He was approaching the sofa from the right, so I moved to the left and continued to face him as I stepped toward the bed. Only when he was settled on the sofa did I climb onto the bed. The warmth immediately surrounded me as I cozied up under the blankets and settled back against the pillows. The relief was short-lived as I was once again confronted with how entirely alone I was. I wanted nothing more than to be comforted by my best friend, but the only offering I had was the emptiness he had left behind. He was dead and would never again be of any comfort to me or anyone else. I turned to my side and pulled one of the pillows against my chest, quickly burying my face into it to muffle the sobs that escaped. I completely broke down as I thought of the rest of my family. Had someone told my mother and brothers? Would Uncle Daemon come looking for me? Would they accept the demands of Aegon or would I be doomed to suffer alone, married to Aemond for the rest of my life? The sobs continued until I had exhausted myself into a restless sleep.
"I will go and lead Aemond away, it is me he wants. Stay here until you are sure more than enough time has passed, then depart for Dragonstone. I will meet you there." He shouted against the rain and thunder.
"Luke, no. We go together!" I begged, already knowing he was never going to listen.
"I am your brother, it is my duty to protect you. I was the one who took his eye and now I will pay for it." He placed his hands on either side of my head. "I will return home, I swear it." He gathered me into a tight hug. "Now, hurry and hide before Aemond comes." He shoved me gently away from him. We both climbed onto our dragons and with one last look took off in opposite directions. I flew just above the castle and back down to the opposite side before quickly climbing off of my dragon and returning to the hall where Lord Baratheon waited.
"Clever girl. Leave the fighting to the men and we shall see which of them survives." He looked as though the idea brought him joy while my entire body was vibrating with terror and adrenaline.
I shut my eyes and was immediately met with the picture of Luke and Arrax soaring through the pouring rain. The sky lit up with flashes of lightning and I watched as Luke frantically searched the skies around him. After another bright flash, I saw Vhagar looming over him. He quickly veered to the right before shooting upwards at a speed that only the small and nimble Arrax could achieve, perhaps the only advantage over the much larger and battle-wise, Vhagar. I could nearly feel his tempered relief as he scanned the clear skies above the storm. He visibly relaxed before devolving into a scream as Vhagar erupted from a cloud with jaws expanded wide enough to easily devour both Luke and Arrax. I watched in horror as the explosion of crimson dispersed to reveal the chunks of flesh that were all that remained of my brother and his beloved dragon. A scream ripped from my throat and I thrashed to escape as the massive beast turned to consume me next. My arms were pinned to my sides and my legs pressed against my dragon as Vhagar descended upon me.
"Visneya!"" I jolted upward, narrowly missing a shape looming above me. I scrambled backwards until I collided with the headboard, though I wasn't sure what exactly I was escaping from. "It's alright. You're alright." Aemond came into focus as I realized it was his hands on my arms, not the jaws of his dragon. and my legs were tangled up in the sheets of his bed, not the straps of my saddle.
"Get away from me!" I screamed, still panting and slightly disoriented from the nightmare. He jumped back as though I had slapped him and it was only then that I took in the genuine concern displayed through his furrowed brows and tight lips. His sapphire eye glinted against the candlelight, free from the patch he normally wore.
"I'm sorry. You were screaming and I-"
"Why didn't you let them kill me? I do not wish to live like this." I begged him. "Truly, if you are sorry, you will set me free either by my dragon or by your sword."
"I can't." He said, his voice cracking.
"Then do not pretend that you care." I spat. "You are just as much of a monster as that beast that you ride."
"Very well." He inclined his head and returned to his spot on the opposite side of the room. Though I could tell he was still watching me carefully.
As I laid back down in the bed, it was not lost on me that despite my screams, no one came to my aid. I was to be left alone with no one, but the monster who had taken the life of my brother over a childhood thirst for revenge.

Part 2: Reunited on Dragonstone
Tumblr media
Despite the tensions you knew it was sure to cause, you refused to be escorted with the rest of the royal family to the Dragonpit to attend Aegon’s coronation, telling your lady in waiting to inform Queen Alicent that you’d fallen ill. The entire Keep must be there now, watching as former King Maegor Targaryen’s crown be placed upon Aegon’s head, crowning him king of the Seven Kingdoms.
The usurper king, you thought to yourself bitterly.
Rumblings of war breaking out between the two sides of the Targaryen family had run rampant for years. Your grandsire, King Viserys, attempted to reunite the two sides of his family through your marriage to Aemond after he lost his eye the night he claimed Vhagar, but the union did little to quell your mother-in-law’s thirst for her eldest son to sit upon the Iron Throne.
That night your mother, Princess Rhaenyra, moved your family out of the Red Keep and into Dragonstone as she refused to let her children face the cruelness of a bitter Alicent Hightower. She fought her father for you, arguing you were but a child, though you had celebrated your third and tenth nameday months before Laena Velaryon’s death, and there was no need to marry you off so soon. But the king refused his daughter and kept you with him in the Keep.
That was many years ago, however, and now your marriage held strong despite the tension between your family and Aemond’s. The last time your family had truly been together as one was the weeks of celebrations surrounding your wedding. Your brothers Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey had grown into fine young princes in the years they spent away at Dragonstone. You spent as much time with your younger brothers as you could while they stayed in King’s Landing because you knew your mother had no such plans of keeping her boys out of her reach anytime soon, as she’d had no say in letting her firstborn and only daughter go.
Though you truly loved your husband and have even found a close friend in Helaena, you missed the bond you had with your own siblings and your mother. Being the firstborn of your mother’s children gave you the wonderful advantage of watching your siblings grow up, and you treasured the time you had with your baby brothers before you were separated from your family.
“The queen is quite unhappy with you, my darling,” Aemond says firmly from behind you.
You gasp, your hand instinctively flew up to your chest in a hopeless attempt to calm the now rapid beating of your heart.
“Aemond! You should not scare me like that!” You scold, but reach out with one hand to grasp one of his. “This heart of mine is fragile, you know.”
He grips your hand just as firmly as you do his as you take him in. Aemond is dressed in his finest clothes, hair elegantly pulled back into a silver veil over his broad shoulders. No doubt some of his finest clothes had been pulled for his brother’s coronation. He couldn’t stop the cheshire grin from spreading across his face, his blue eye sparkling with mischief.
“Have you been hiding here all day?”
“Hiding? I would not call it hiding,” you mutter, softly biting your bottom lip before letting it go. “If I wish to stay in the comforts of my husband and I’s chambers for an entire day, who is to tell me I cannot?”
Unfortunately for you, Aemond sees right through you. In the time the two of you have spent with each other over the past year the two of you have become quite close for an arranged marriage. Most women in your position only marry out of duty and never find genuine love. Your marriage may have begun as an arranged one, but it didn’t take you long to develop genuine feelings for your betrothed.
“I expect word has reached Dragonstone by now,” Aemond measures against you, eye carefully studying your face.
“I suppose it has.”
You turn around to gaze out the window of your chamber. From this side of the castle you have an almost perfect view of King’s Landing that extends as far as the large dome of the Dragonpit.
Aemond says nothing as he steps forward to envelop you in his embrace, pulling you flush against his chest. He kissed the side of your head, then gently pressed his face into your hair. “You have nothing to worry about, my love. You know I would never let anything- anyone hurt you.”
“It is not I that I worry for.” You admit to him before bringing your hands up to grasp his toned arms. “I worry for my mother, for my brothers. I fear what Aegon might do to them. I...”
He straightens up and turns you around in his embrace. You bring your arms up to wrap around his neck as his grasp fixates on your waist. He brings one hand up to cup the side of your face.
“What troubles you so, my darling?”
You find yourself unable to meet his gaze and you close your eyes. Fear bubbles in your chest as your mind races through the many different reactions Aemond is capable of having. Would he offer you the comfort you so desperately needed, or would his temperment take hold of him?
“I cannot stay here,” you finally admit in one rushed huff. “I love you, husband. More than I should, more than my mother would care to hear. If you asked, I would mount Rixende and burn all of Westeros to the ground, but I cannot remain in the Red Keep so long as Aegon is king.”
Aemond’s brows furrow together, “What are you saying?”
“I wish to return to Dragonstone, my love. I want to see my family, to be beside them once more,” you confess. “And I want you to come with me. Join me by my mother’s side and we shall take back the Seven Kingdoms from those who would see House Targaryen in shambles. You know as well as I that Aegon has never had any aspirations for the throne, that your mother is behind his becoming king.”
He says nothing, facial expression unchanging as he listens to you plead your case.
“If you come with me now, mother is sure to show you mercy, Aemond. We can be a whole family on Dragonstone with all of us together. I have no doubt mother will not settle for Aegon’s ascension to the throne and she will claim her rightful place as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.”
Aemond’s hold on your waist finally releases as he takes a couple steps back from you. Your heart sinks, fearing you’d lost him already. Silence overtakes the typical warmth of your chambers as you wait for Aemond to give you any sign of what he’s thinking.
It takes a minute or two, but eventually Aemond breaks the silence. “If I do not go what will you do? Leave me here in King’s Landing and abandon your vows to me?”
“No!” You assure, reaching for his hand once more but he evades your grasp. Hurt from his blatant rejection, you bring your arms around yourself in an attempt of holding yourself together. “Do not mistake me, I plan to travel to Dragonstone regardless. I will be reunited with my family as I cannot even pretend to support your brother. But I will never abandon our vows, Aemond.”
His blue eye meets your gaze at last. “There is nothing I could say to change your mind, then?”
“No,” you confirm.
He looks down to the floor beneath your feet and your heart sinks. He will not join you on Dragonstone. You knew asking him to abandon his family, specifically Helaena and Alicent, would be difficult because of his undying loyalties to both women. After claiming Vhagar and losing his eye, Aemond despised your younger brother Lucerys, and through extension the rest of your brothers as well. You knew trying to convince Aemond to join you would be a difficult task, but you still believed somehow that he would in fact join you.
Aemond pulls you into his arms as he pressed a firm kiss upon your forehead. “Pack everything you cannot live without, my love. I doubt we will be welcome here until Rhaenyra is queen.”
You pull away, shock written across your face. “You mean you’ll-”
“I’d never allow my sweet wife to go unhappy, force you to reside in a place you have no desire to be in. If it is your wish to be reunited with your family on Dragonstone arm in arm with your husband, who am I to deny you?”
Without another word you grasp Aemond’s face and pull him down to you just enough to press your lips together firmly. Aemond pulls away first with a devilish grin painted across his lips.
“Go wife, collect your things. We shall leave before Aegon sends for us to join him for the feast.”

Aemond was tempted to smash his brother’s skull in with his empty wine glass if he had to endure one more minute of his jesting. It felt so foolish to the prince, wasting precious seconds that could be spent with you on people so tawdry in comparison. It wasn’t often that your families indulged in social gatherings, and he had little hope there’d be another time like this in the near future. Although Aemond truly wished it could be under better circumstances that didn’t involve your uncle’s demise, there was literally no time like the present. For too long had the second-born prince endured endless torturous nights dreaming of caressing your soft skin, and laying in your divine arms. He dreamt of venturing through your personage in places he’d kill another man for thinking of. But there was no need to worry about the ladder, your aunt Lady Rhaenys approving of your new engagement with the prince once he asked for your hand. All that was left was to announce your good tidings at this wretched dinner.
Beneath the table his fists clenched in his lap, tension beginning to overflow when yet another servant came through the door. You and your niece Baela were caught up in something with Rhaenys, making the two of you the last guests to arrive. Your time with the prince was often limited to dragon rides somewhere far and secluded from Kings Landing and Driftmark, on the rare occasion that you both had entirely tended to your respective duties. Aemond adored those moments with you, adrenalized and invigorated from flying on Vhagar with you in his arms. In the meantime, all he could enjoy were your letters that carried just enough of your rose perfume for him to imagine you there.
The two grand doors swung open, guards clearing the way for you and Baela to enter.
“There you two are!” Rhaenyra exclaimed, putting her grievances with the Queen aside, “Come sit with us.”
Aemond’s smile swiftly fell as your older brother-in-law, Daemon pulled out a chair for you, right between Jacaerys and Baela.
“It’s a joy to see you again, Y/N and Baela,” Alicent said hospitably. “Rhaenys tells me you’ve both been a great help at Driftmark,” Her smile dropped awkwardly, “And my condolences to your late uncle. What happened earlier was… unfortunate, to say the least.”
“Thank you, my queen,” You replied, your smile warm, “I’m happy to see you and your family in good spirits.” Aemond’s violet eye remained glued on you, softening when you took a moment to beam at him. Whoever thought all angels had wings was surely wrong in Aemond’s book.
Even when your attention shifted towards catching up with Rhaena, the prince basked in your vision. You wore a shoulderless obsidian gown with a cascading neckline that hinted at something delicious beneath. The dim light of the dining hall did no disservice to your beauty, your eyes twinkling as if stars lay beneath them. Aemond was barely listening to a word his grandfather was saying when you suddenly stood up.
Seeing Jace’s hand hold yours was equivalent to watching idly by as you clutched scolding hot coals in Aemond’s mind. He sat up a bit straighter with his jaw clenched and his expression cold but deadly, time moving slow while you began to dance with his nephew.
“Aemond? Don’t you agree with your mother?” Otto asked a little louder.
“...Mhm,” Aemond muttered, stabbing his fork into the steak violently.
First, he’d gain retribution by blinding the young man, so he’d never look at you so sweetly again. How could you be so foolish? Dancing with another man in front of one who deserved you far more. Then Aemond would cut off his right hand, the one placed far too close to your hip. No, No, No – The prince screamed internally, don’t laugh with Jace like that. Finally, Aemond thought, his temptations bloodthirsty, he’d sever Jacery’s Targaryen’s legs. He can’t dance with you again without them.
Once you finally sat down, Jace remained standing, lifting his cup looking triumphant.
“I’d like to make an announcement,” Jace said, “Although Lady Rhaenys could not join us tonight,” he paused, “There is a matter our families have been discussing for a long time coming. I intend to take Lady Y/N’s hand in marriage.”
Judging from your wide eyes, you were in the dark about this. Aemond was ready to weaponize his cutting knife when a servant barged in front of him, presenting a horribly timed and placed meal. Silence suffocated the room except for Lucerys’ giggling. The boy stopped when he heard a startling clang from the other side of the table, where Aemond had stabbed the table hard. Smiling wickedly at Lucerys, Aemond abruptly stood and looked towards Jace.
“I’m terribly sorry, nephew,” Aemond said, “But Rhaenys promised me Y/N’s hand earlier today, actually.”
“Aemond! Why didn’t you tell me?” Alicent exclaimed.
“I,” Aemond proclaimed, overflowing with arrogance, “Wanted it to be a surprise, mother.” He looked directly at Jace, his smile wide but his eye malicious.
“But fret not, you should have no troubles finding another suitor,” Aemond exclaimed, “For Jace, you have grown into a handsome, intelligent…” He looked at his mother, who wanted to die from embarrassment. “Strong man. Haven’t you?”
“Take that back,” Jace growled, looking furious.
“Aemond - stop this at once,” Alicent sternly pleaded with her son.
“I don’t see the problem, mother. I was only assuring my nephew that he’ll find love elsewhere,” Aemond said, “Away from Y/N.”
When Jace tried to lunge at Aemond, the prince pushed him down like nothing. If his family hadn’t intervened, Aemond would’ve beaten Jace into a pulp.
“Aemond!” Otto boomed, “That’s enough. Head to your quarters.”
“...Fine,” Aemond relented, “As long as my lady accompanies me.”
Tumblr media
“This is where we’ll be staying.”
You crossed your arms, looking up at him with a frown, “What about your bedroom?”
Aemond gave you a smug little smile, towering over you as he took a step closer and placed a hand on your cheek. his breathing was heavy and staggered, and you could feel his warm breath against your face. “It’s not close enough for Jace to hear.”
You let out a gasp, and you couldn’t tell if it was from disgust or arousal. “Aemond…”
“Mhm,” your betrothed mumbled, burying his face into the crook of your neck while wrapping his arms tightly around your waist. He pulled you in so close you could feel his fingers digging into your flesh. “I’ve wanted to touch you for so long,” he breathed out, “Only for that bastard to do it first.”
Aemond began to press painstakingly light kisses down your neck, having your body shiver at the ghost of his lips.
“If you’re going to kiss me, just do it already,” you giggled, fingers tugging at his platinum locks.
Aemond pulled away from your neck with a boyish smile, “Oh my love,” he chuckled, “I can’t touch you properly if you don’t tell me what you want.”
You wouldn’t have given in so quickly to his possessive urges on any other day, but you knew what you were getting into when you flirted with Jacerys.
Goosebumps invaded your flesh as he removed your nightgown, letting it slide helplessly to the floor. His fingers slid down the sides of your body, stopping at your hips before abruptly lifting you up in a princess hold. “Aemond!” you squeaked, growing dizzy as he gently laid you on the bed.
Kneeling above you, Aemond’s determined expression softened as he admired your body. “You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen,” he told you, his hands moving to hover above your chest.
Your breath hitched when aemond began to play with your perk nipples, rubbing circles torturously slow onto each nub, often taking a moment to squeeze your breasts with his slender hands.
“So soft,” Aemond muttered in rapture. The room would be silent without your heavy breathing, at least until you released a breathy moan when he began to suck on your tit.
“Oh my god,” you moaned, your hands gripping onto his shoulders.
Aemond was delighted to touch you again, but he needed more for his plan to work. Getting impatient, he used one hand to steady himself as the other one danced on the skin surrounding your pussy. You moaned when he massaged your clit, until he suddenly stopped.
“Aemond!” you whined. He simply unlatched his mouth from your nipple and looked at you innocently.
“If you want something,” Aemond tutted, one hand hovering above your aching clit while the other caressed your lip, “You must tell me what you want, and how much you want it.”
“I want you inside of me,” you begged, “I need you to fuck me.”
“When I needed to fuck you, you were dancing with him,” Aemond said coldly, grabbing your face to look into your eyes, “He’ll know his place when he hears you screaming my name. but first, you need to know yours.”
Aemond became animalistic. Once his patience wore out so did you, panting and moaning loudly as he continued to viciously eat you out as he had done for the past hour. He moved you so your ass was in the air, face pressed flush against the pillow. Not even that could muffle your voice.
“Too much,” you cried, hands clutching at the sheets tightly.
“Just one more. I promise. You want me to fuck you?” Aemond panted out, “Then say it.” He slapped your ass, grabbing hold of your cheeks as he shoved his tongue deeper down your throbbing cunt.
“I want you to fuck me Aemond!”
“Good girl, keep begging,” Aemond moaned, “They should be done with dinner soon. If you like Jace so much give him a taste of what he’s missing, hm?”
After bidding his mother goodnight, Jace tiredly trekked to his room. There must be something he could do, he thought desperately. You’ve been a best friend of his since childhood, and he refused to lose you to his devious uncle. Jace clenched his fist, growing angrier with every step. Maybe a duel would be in order-
“Fuck yes!”
Jace approached the door of his room, his cheeks red and eyes wide. It took the young lord a moment to recognize your voice.
“Gonna fill you up again and again,” Aemond growled into your ear, hands digging into your hips as you continued to bounce, “You’ll still feel it when you see him again,” he snarled, “And you’ll feel it whenever another grubby man puts his hands on you.”
“Yes, yes, yes-“ you blubbered, tears streaming down your cheeks while your head rested on his shoulder, “Just like that!” you sobbed out when he hit your g-spot yet another time tonight.
“Scream my name,” Aemond demanded, pulling you from his neck to look into your teary eyes.
“A-aemond!”
“Louder!”
The Velaryon boy was horribly torn between breaking the door down and beating aemond into a pulp and listening to that delectable voice of yours. He’d thought of fucking you before but now it was all he could think about as he lay in bed alone.
“I’m getting close,” you moaned frantically, hips crashing into his harder and faster.
“I… I think I’m getting close too,” Aemond groaned, “Don’t cum yet.”
He yanked your hair back, forcing you to look at him, “Look at me. Don’t. Cum. Yet.”
It was difficult when your eyes were teary and fluttering from the overstimulation, but you tried your best. In a moment of boldness, your hands slid beneath the straps of his eye patch, gently removing it to reveal his sapphire eye. With anyone else, Aemond would’ve been furious. But knowing just how much you loved him, bought a tender aspect to such rough lovemaking. Pleasure began to swirl in your stomach more and more, finally exploding once he came in you. You both moaned in tandem, his hands gripping your hips as if to ensure not a drop of his seed went awry.

a bride for an eye. || aemond targaryen x velaryon! reader
summary: an exchange for the remains of lucerys goes wrong and you, the eldest daughter of laena velayron and daemon targaryen, find yourself in the middle of the beginning of a war that will change your world forever.
trigger warnings: violence, kidnapping, eventual smut, dragon dreamer! reader,  and the big one being that reader is a velayron and a targaryen marrying a targaryen and fuck it imma just have to go with it, please don’t yell at me
if you’re under 18+, please stop here, this is not for you.
i don’t know if this is good or not, or if it even makes sense but fuck it.
chapter one: the exchange.
The heart of Lucerys Velayron was the only thing that remained of him.
A heart in a box belonging to the one eyed prince who slaught him.
Hoof beats and dragon’s roars filled the bridge separating the green and black, the stench of vengeance to come rank in the air.
You stood in front of your little sisters to keep them back from the soon to be scorched earth, waiting for the moment from your dreams, the moment when the rain would turn to ash and the war would begin.
You had tried to warn them, your father would not listen, no one would listen.
So the world would burn then.
“You have my son’s heart, return it or you will not see the next sunrise.”   Rhaenyra said, dismounting from her dragon in tandem with your father.
“And what will we have in return?” Queen Alicent asked and stepped forward, her sworn sword and sons at her side.
“Your head and perhaps the tongue of your favorite grandchild, how’s that?” Your father quipped.
You had seen this all before, you could nearly recite word for word, a sword crossed mummer’s play that would end in blood.
“You will swear your allegiance to King Aegon, the one true king. You want Luke’s heart? Bend the knee and be done with this, Rhaenyra.” Alicent said.
Soldiers on both sides look nervous and you couldn’t help but pity them.
Green or black, it didn’t matter.
They’d all be dead soon.
“One last chance.” Rhaenyra offered.
“Go back to grandmother and Meleys, now.” You whispered, pushing your protesting sisters back, cold whipping at your brown skin. You knew they would not meet their end here but you had already lost your mother, if there was even the slightest chance you could lose them  you weren’t going to take that chance.
“ You shall bend the knee or meet the same end as your bastard!”  The false child king bellowed out.
This was it, your dream stirred to life, finally.
You awaited for the first rumble, the ash and smoke to marry, the beginning of a war that should have never happened.
But there was nothing.
Just heavy footsteps parting the sea of green soldiers.
Aemond Targaryen was walking towards your house, ignoring his mother and brother.
“His heart for her hand.” He said simply, outstretching both hands, one to hand the box of his nephew’s heart, and the other, well, the other to you.
You had never had this many eyes on you in your entire life.
Or swords.
You did not dream this, you did not see this, how did you not see this?
“ I offer an exchange, a chance for all to survive this day. I wish to marry Lady Velaryon and you wish to mourn, you get a nice strong heart and I get a Driftmark bride. “
Was this how it was to end instead, your dreams now broken shards out of order, a story you thought you knew now with pages ripped from it?
You could see it happening, your father’s sword in the air, dracarys on Rhaenyra’s lips, steel on steel if you did not take his hand.
It was now your turn to put your hands out, one on the queen’s shoulder, the other on the hilt of your father’s sword.
“Enough blood has been spilled already.” You whispered, taking a step forward only to be pulled back by your father.
“You’re not leaving with him.” Daemon said simply, something behind his eyes and sharpness of tone, you couldn’t place.
Was it fear?
“No one is leaving here if I don’t do this. You’ll get your crown, you’ll get your war, let me do this for our family, for Luke.” You found yourself pleading to them both, slowly taking the box from Aemond and placing it into your second mother’s hands.
It all happened so fast after that, one moment you’re standing in front of your family, the next you’re over the kinslayer’s shoulder, the screams of your sisters echoing as fighting broke out anyway.
Perhaps this was how the war would start.
Perhaps you could change the tide.
Not if he killed you first.

A purple-coloured eye for your purple-eyed son
Tumblr media
Part two | Part three
Tumblr media
Princess Y/n Velaryon ─ the first child of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Ser Leanor Velaryon and their only true child together ─ is woken up by a ruckus outside her chambers. She sleepily gets up and puts on a robe before opening her chamber doors.
She follows after the many servants and ends up in the Hall of Nine, where chaos is happening.
Her brothers are being tended to by their grandfather, with cuts, blood, and bruises on their faces. Her cousins are with her grandmother, all seeming unharmed.
On the other side of the room is Prince Aemond. His back is turned towards her while he's tended to by a maester and his mother. A grim atmosphere hangs around them.
Her mother comes bursting through the doors followed by her great-uncle. Both look dishevelled. She goes to check on her children and looks around for the princess, who's unharmed and just as clueless as her mother.
Princess Rhaenyra demands what has happened and all the children scream over each other. The King shuts them up and asks his son what has happened.
Bastards. Prince Aemond has called her brothers bastards.
Everybody points their fingers at each other, claiming that they are the culprits.
The Queen screams that she wants justice, that she wants her little brother's eye, as he is the one who maimed her son.
As the eldest, Y/n Velaryon sees it as her duty to protect her brothers. So, she backs away from the circle of onlookers and locates a knife. She takes a deep breath as she holds the dagger's point close to her pupil, before plunging it into her eye and pulling back. Her perfect purple eye sits pitifully pierced on the point of the dagger.
She tries to be as quiet as she can, but a few cries escape her lips. The pain is more immense than she could ever imagine. It pulls attention from the crowd behind her, and somebody gasps in shock.
The Princess turns around, blood mixed with tears streaming down her face.
"There you go, Your Highness, a purple-coloured eye for your purple-eyed son." The girl holds out a bloodied hand in which her eyeball stares directly up at the Queen, pierced right through the pupil. She pushes it into the hand of the Queen, who has a look of horrified shock on her face.
The Princess turns around and walks to the doors to exit the room, but not before turning around. "But remember, Queen Hightower, that if your claims about my brothers are true, remember your children are just the same; half-bloods. What you hold in your hand is what you claim to be pure, Valyrian blood."
The Princess bravely walks out of the room, blood and tears running down her face. But once the doors close behind her, her facade falls.
Everybody in the hall can hear the Princess' screams of pain and agony. All to protect her brother. What she couldn't have known, is that her actions would spurt guilt in many people that night. Festering and boiling over the years. The three princes involved in the fight would manifest a large amount of guilt. But not all would deal the same way with the consequences that came out of the night.

𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟 [𝐚𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐞𝐧]
pairing: aemond targaryen x velaryon!reader
summary: aemond lets you sleep off a hangover
content warnings: yes this is fluffy. yes i know this man is not canonically kind. i don’t care. it was fun to write. legit just reader sleeping in aemond’s arms. if this does well i will write smut 4 him soon (request it pls😡)
i was lacking inspiration so i picked a prompt that resonated with me from this list by @rosewritingprompts; letting them sleep when they should be awake
Tumblr media
you’re exhausted; your eyes are drooping, your vision blurred as you try your hardest to focus on the pages of the book in front of you. and just as your head begins to sway with fatigue, you feel a familiar hand tipping your chin upwards. aemond hums, piercing blue raking over your tired features. despite his stoic expression, you know better than to assume he’s displeased. in fact, he’s enamoured with you— enamoured despite your swollen eyes and hoarse voice, despite your mussed hair, your raging hangover.
“i did wonder what trouble you and my dear brother got yourselves into last night,” he chastises.
“perhaps not my brightest idea,” you rasp, relying on his grip to keep you upright when his hand moves up to cradle your cheek. he smiles, fondness softening his perpetually sharp features.
“no, perhaps not.” he agrees. you tug at the ends of your velvet sleeves uncomfortably; your body is numb from sitting in the wooden library chair, muscles stiff and seized tight additionally from your ridiculous drinking antics with aegon.
“come here.” he murmurs. “you need to rest.”
you shake your head fervently.
“i don’t have time. i’m tutoring luke today.”
“you have time,” he soothes, lithe arms snaking around your waist and coaxing you to stand. his breath is hot in your ear. “aegon is still in his chambers.” he snorts, somewhere between disapproving and amused. your responding giggle is quiet. you’re in good spirits despite your pounding migraine.
“can we go to the gardens?” you ask suddenly. aemond flushes hot with affection and nods, unable to deny you anything you desire.
“as long as you promise to sleep.”
“promise.”
“to the gardens, then,” he says, patient when you fumble for his hand and follow behind him, alarmingly akin to a lost puppy. only for you is he so placid.
you make a beeline for the towering oak tree you love so dearly and before you can sit, aemond does first; he presses his back against the bumps and ridges, settling you between his legs and murmuring lowly as your entire body softens against his own. you curl into his chest, tip your face up to nudge his jaw with the very end of your nose.
“will you wake me?”
“of course.”
“do you promise?” a blinding smile cracks his face in two at your trivial question, asked so seriously. you swat his chest lightly. “i’m not jesting! mother will have my head if i’m late.”
he relents. those doe eyes have him entirely lovestruck. “yes, i promise.”
“good.” he presses a firm kiss to the crown of your head and rubs up and down your clothed arms in huge, sweeping motions. you hum appreciatively.
it’s not long before your breaths even out and you go lax, soft with sleep. you sleep heavily and you’re difficult to rouse with your face buried in aemond’s clothes. you tend to sleep more heavily in his arms.
fortunately for him, he’s spared from the task of waking you when jace stumbles upon the pair of you. he immediately shouts something indecipherable into your ear and you startle, unhappy.
“jacaerys!”
“get up.” he gripes, stopped short from grabbing you by aemond’s protective arms around your squirming body.
and if looks could kill… well, you try to avoid the thought of aemond killing. you’re all aware of what he’s capable of, but dwelling on the fact that he has proven himself dangerous at times only serves to send you into bouts of panic. you know he’d never harm you, not even a little, and the danger is never directed towards you; you do, however, fear for your siblings.
“must you be so loud and unpleasant?” you ask pointedly. jace grins.
“i pride myself on being loud and unpleasant, sister.”
“i hate you.”
you stretch and reluctantly unfurl yourself from the warmth of aemond’s embrace. before standing, you press a tender kiss to his shoulder.
“i will see you later.” you say, though you frame the sentence similar to a question with the upward intonation of your speech.
“yes.” he affirms. “and no more drinking.”
“no,” you giggle. you don’t press for another kiss, aware of his boundaries surrounding public affection, but he does reach for your hand, smoothing his thumb over your knuckles before letting you go. once jace has bounded ahead, as is his way, you turn and blow him a kiss. he smiles lazily.
he thinks you ridiculous for your unbridled adoration towards him. you remain unaffected. he’s sullen but he’s not unfeeling, and you know how much he cares for you.

You were dropped on the ground when Aemond reached the dragon pits of King’s Landing. Despite your attempts to take off your waist strap and legs straps, he was there in a matter of seconds. You cursed. If it wasn’t raining then you wouldn’t have used all of the safety measures. You didn't even like wearing leg straps. Aemond tied your arms behind your back and blindfolded you before he undid your saddle straps. You kicked as hard as you could, freezing when you felt something cold on your neck.
“I’ll kill you like I killed your brother if you don’t quit moving.”
You stopped, letting Aemond escort you. He took the secret route in the dragon pits that led back to King’s Landing. He left you in the Godswood, tied to the large weirwood tree. You shook like a leaf as you tried to undo your ties. There was nowhere to go but if you were able to run or at least hide then you could think properly. The voices stopped you just as you figured out how to undo the knot. A shrill voice made a noise between a gasp and a scream.
“What have you done?”
Aemond looked at his mother confused. “I’ve solved our problems. This is better than any promises from Lord Baratheon. Lucerys is dead and we have her.”
Otto looked at his grandson. “You’ve killed Lucerys?"
"I didn't intend to. Vhagar mistook my commands. I simply adapted."
"So you took Y/N? The princess’ terms hadn’t come in. We don’t know what she might have done.”
“They were at Storm’s End.”
“That doesn’t matter!” Otto lost his composure. “That is what one does with the threat of war. She didn’t know if we would invade just as we didn’t know about her. You have thrown that away. Even if she was willing to give up the crown, it would have been for her children. Do you know what she will do now? She will start a war! We ar— Aegon, what are you doing?”
You shook when you felt a hand grab your cheeks. Warm breath could be felt as it fanned over your face. You felt fingers digging into your flesh, not enough to hurt but enough to make you squirm with discomfort.
“Call the Septon,” Aegon said, turning to look at his family.
“What?” Otto and Alicent were confused, too busy trying to think of ways to stop a war that was certainly happening now.
“Call the Septon,” Aegon repeated himself. “I am taking a second wife. A prisoner isn’t enough, they’ll just come to rescue her. Killing her will cause a people’s rebellion. The bitch used to give bread to poor people when her family still lived here. No, Y/N Velaryon is going to give me an heir. There is nothing they can do about that without causing harm to her.”
“You have children with Helaena.”
“And our son will marry the daughter I have with Y/N. They’ll rule together like my father always wanted from his children.”
You were left alone again. Or so you thought. Aegon was looking at you, enjoying the struggle as you tried to undo your ties. He waited until you were almost out before grabbing your hands. You screamed There was no use trying to escape anymore, not in your current state.
Aegon tested you. He removed the tie around the weirwood tree before everyone else got back to see what you would do. A devilish smile crossed his face when you didn’t run. You simply stood there, trying to get a sense of your surroundings. The wedding was done right then and there. You weren’t changed. Your ties weren’t removed. You were still blindfolded as you said your vows. Vows you didn’t say so much as muttered under the stress of Aemond’s sword lightly pressing into your back.
Otto and Alicent watched with lots of concern as you were pulled along by Aegon as he headed towards his chamber. Alicent pulled away when you jumped at her touch. She could do nothing but watch you leave the Godswood.
Otto squeezed his hands out of stress. “We could send her back in good faith?”
“Aemond has killed Lucerys.”
“But she is still alive. They will want her back.”
“Is Aegon to give up the throne? Do you think Rhaenyra will accept a surrender? She will kill Aegon a—”
“Your son killed hers first! And he’s kidnapped the only daughter she has birthed. Your other son has taken light of her pledge to Lord Stark, wed her, and is about to ruin her. There is nothing to do now. We surrender and pray they are merciful enough to not take our heads. Understand when you have lost because of your own actions.”
Alicent shook her head. “What mother sacrifices her children? I am sorry about Y/N, I truly am. But I will not kill my own children. Aegon has made this decision. We must support him until the end of war.”
~~
Daemon had been on the beach in the morning. Lord Baratheon was more than likely to host the prince and princess for many days but Cregan probably wouldn’t care much for Jace without you there. Even if Jace and Cregan were friends. But Daemon wasn’t just waiting on Jace. He was waiting on word from his Goldcloaks about who was still loyal and would ride to Dragonstone.
The King Consort waved as Vermax landed on the beach. His hand dropped when two ravens almost flew into him. Jace undid his leg straps rather lazily. Unlike you and Lucerys, he and Rhaena preferred leg straps over waist straps. He looked over at his stepfather who was picking something off the legs of the ravens.
“Daemon, what is it?”
The two papers dropped from Daemon’s grip, landing in the sand. Jace slid down his dragon and ran when his stepfather trudged towards the ocean and dropped into the water. He stopped to pick up the papers first.
“We have to tell Mother, we ha—”
Jace stopped when Daemon didn’t move. The older man looked out at the ocean. Daemon’s face turned hard. He returned his sword to its sheath and stood up. He and Jace returned to the meeting hall where everyone was gathered to discuss more plans. Jace went to Baela, Rhaena, Joffrey, and the twins while Daemon went to Rhaenyra. He pulled her towards the fire and away from the table. Rhaenyra’s scream gained everyone’s attention. Daemon put a hand on her shoulder.
“We will get her back. But we must plan.”
Rhaenyra nodded. “I want you to get Cregan Stark.”
Daemon was gone without another word.
~~
You were pushed into a room. Aegon didn’t stop pushing until you were face first on the bed. You didn’t bother kicking or hitting as he untied you, already fearful of another knife to your back. Instead, you begged. Still blindfolded, you choked out sobs and whispered your pleas as you felt the bottom of your skirt get pushed up. Aegon leaned over you.
“Keep begging. I enjoy it.”
He was cold, not even trying to help you like it. It was all for his pleasure and giving him an heir. You had to listen to him take pride in how your mother and father would feel when they received the news. He took pride in the notion that you and Cregan were over by his own hands. You felt yourself get turned over.
For the first time that night, he kissed you. It wasn’t sweet or of passion. It was of conquest, another thing he bragged about. Living up to his ancestor’s moniker — Aegon the Conqueror. He tilted your head up as he removed the blindfold. Fingers grabbing the front of your dress, he tore it.
“I think I’ll keep a bit of this to remind me of our night. I will see you in the morning when the family eats, dear wife.” He grabbed at your body one more time. “I will see you tomorrow night as well. We will make beautiful heirs. The maids will come by in the morning with clothes for you. Don’t think you will do anything without my permission.”
He left. You laid motionless in your bed, only staring at the ceiling for what felt like hours. Eventually, you were able to sit yourself up. Your chamber was practically empty. There wasn’t even a jug of water. You coughed as you got out of the bed.
Carefully, like you were afraid of making any moves, you opened the door to see Kingsguards. They both turned, immediately looking above you when they saw how torn your dress was. You tried to cover up your chest as best as you could with the torn fabric and your hands. You looked at both of them, recognizing Ser Criston.
“Can I get some water? And maybe something to eat, please?”
Ser Criston walked away while the other Kingsguard stayed by the door. You stood awkwardly in your own chamber when he came back. He set down a jug of water with a cup as well as a small plate of whatever he could scrounge up from the kitchens. He set down something else.
“One of the maids had a spare sleeping gown.”
He left shortly after, not looking at you as he did. You made your way over to the small table, deciding to change into the sleeping gown first. The water felt cool as it hit your lips. You didn’t bother with the cup. The jug was only set back on the table when it was empty.
Your stomach rumbled as the reality of your situation hit you fully. You vomited all over the floor. You didn’t want the food anymore, choosing to just sit on your bed. It was early morning when the maids came in. The first maid stopped in the doorframe.
“Oh my.”
The others nearly ran into her. They all focused on the vomit in between the bed and the table. Some of them moved to clean it up while others started a bath. They whispered under their breath to each other. You looked like you hadn’t slept at all. The food hadn’t been touched but the jug of water was drained.
Aegon’s behavior wasn’t a secret amongst the maids. They had lost so many girls who were given money by the Crown to get as far away from the Keep as they could. But they never thought he would do it to his own wife. You were basically a doll as they moved you from your bed to the tub. They washed you as gently as they could. Everyone froze when you pulled your leg away as a maid got closer to it.
They decided you were done and helped you out of the tub. You were dressed with clothes that had belonged to Helaena. The maids escorted you along with the Kingsguard to the dining hall. It was just Otto, Alicent, Aegon, Helaena, and Aemond. Alicent dropped her head in her hands when you sat down. You looked like a wreck. The only thing nice was your hair and the dress the maids were responsible for.
The dark circles under your eyes were large. Your lip looked split. And some sort of bruise was forming around your neck. You just stared into the distance. She tried to pile food on your plate, pushing it towards you. You didn’t make any movement. The family ate and talked around you.
Your eyes glanced down when you felt something touch your thigh. A white hand scrunched up the fabric of your dress until the skirt was completely bunched around your waist. You looked over at Aegon who looked at you with dark eyes. Otto turned his head when he heard a squeak come from you. He saw his grandson’s arm moving rather vigorously.
“Aegon.”
“What? I came to the realization that I never gave my wife pleasure last night. If you don’t enjoy entertainment with your meal then you may leave, grandsire.” He looked back at you in disgust. “Did you just piss yourself?”
He pulled his hand from you and pushed your upper body onto the table, forcing you to stand.
“Aegon, stop this at once!” Otto threw down his spoon.
“Why? She is my wife.”
Everyone but Aemond and the required Kingsguard left as Aegon began flipping up your skirts. The Kingsguard averted their eyes, flinching at every sound that came from you. Aegon pressed you into the table more and more with each thrust. He and his brother made crude remarks. Eventually, Aemond grew bored and left after pouring the rest of his unfinished wine onto your head.
Alicent paced outside the dining hall, stopping every now and then to listen at the door. She ran in when Aegon and his Kingsguard had left. The thin cotton that made your underwear was in pieces at your ankles. Your skirts were still flipped up. Alicent rushed over to you. You freaked out when you felt someone touch you. Alicent tried to shush you as she pulled down your dress and sat you down in a chair. She kneeled down in front of you, grabbing your hands.
“I apologize deeply for his behavior.”
“I want to go home,” you said in a voice barely above a whisper.
“This is your home now. I will speak with Aegon about letting you out of the chamber.” She beckoned over Ser Criston. “I’d like you to take care of her as best as you can.”
Alicent went to go find her son. Criston offered a hand that you shakily took. You thought he was gone for the day when you were returned to your chamber. Instead, he was back with water and food since you still hadn’t eaten since yesterday morning. He approached you with another sleeping gown and a cup.
“Mara made the tea for herself. She requested that I give it to you, Your Grace.”
“Princess.”
“Hmm?”
“I don’t want to be Your Grace.”
“Yes. Apologies, Princess. Please take the tea. Either Mara or I will be by in the mornings with more for you.”
You recognized the scent of moon tea in the cup. Aegon had forbidden you from everywhere, especially the kitchens. You suspected it was for this very reason. You downed the cup before taking the jug on your nightstand and poured water into the cup.
After three rounds of water, you thought all traces of moon tea were out of the cup. Your eyes closed as you turned away from the food in favor of sleep. There was nothing to do but fearfully wait for Aegon to come at night.
You were allowed out of your chamber after a while. The Godswood, the kitchen, and the library were the only places you could go. Kingsguard still escorted you everywhere. At first, Aegon only wanted you to have library access. Otto and Alicent convinced him otherwise when you still didn’t eat. You only ate stuff that you prepared and you only ate in the kitchens.
The cooks set a stool at the end of the large counter because that was where you stayed. You always got pitiful looks from them as they tried to add more food onto your plate whenever you came in with split lips or others matters. They looked at you with pity when Aegon came in. He set your bread down and yanked you off the stool.
“You can eat later.”
You were confused when you were led through the Godswood by a fully armored Aegon. He sat you on the back of his dragon and tied the leg straps before getting on himself. As his dragon flew on, you started to hear shouting. Pretty soon you came upon a battlefield. It wasn’t really. No one was fighting, not yet. But there were troops for miles. And there were dragons.
Your parents looked over you as best as they could. Your brother’s face couldn’t conceal his anger, neither could his dragon. You looked at them all. Jace, Daemon, Rhaenyra, Baela, Rhaena, and Rhaenys. Every dragon-rider was there. Your grandmother was closest to you.
If you jumped, she might be able to catch you before you hit the ground. Aegon grabbed you just as you undid the second strap. He pressed his knife to your throat.
“I will kill her if you ever try to come for her or the crown. Do you understand?”
Aegon could tell they were calculating. He didn’t wait, choosing to prove his point. You cried out when he stabbed your right shoulder. Rhaenyra sneered but didn’t move for fear of hurting you more. Aegon began flying back without any more opposition.
Your family knew they had to go back to Dragonstone but they weren’t giving up. Unbeknownst to him, Aegon reignited the life in you. You hadn’t seen your family in months and it almost broke you. Now, you wanted to reunite more than anything. You landed in King’s Landing without a fight.
The Grand Maester cared for your wound while Alicent and Otto berated Aegon for what he had done. You couldn’t really hear what they were saying. You were too busy plotting how you were going to kill every last one of them.

Jacaerys Velaryon
Finding Out
Jacaerys has the audacity to look shocked when the Maester tells him that you’re pregnant, like the two of you haven’t been fucking like rabbits ever since you got married
No seriously—he literally freezes and just kind of…stares with an unreadable expression on his face
Just sort of wide-eyed, in shock before he finally snaps out of it and briskly walks away without another word
He’s not really sure what to do, or how to react to be honest. And it might take a few days for him to come around, but he will eventually
Bonus: Rhaenyra sees his reaction and she’s like Jacaerys, what did you expect?
And he’s like: Not this
And then she’s like: Well did you pull out? Ask for moon tea? Something??
And Jace is just like staring at her like: No? Why would I do that?
Like boy what did you expect when you literally nut inside your wife every single time
During Pregnancy
Once he does come around though, Jacaerys will be so protective. I’m talking like he barely let you out of his sight, and makes sure that everyone knows you’re pregnant
Like they can’t already tell, he’ll constantly tell people that you’re carrying his heir and that they need to be careful with you
Even the Maesters who literally know what they’re doing get a scolding by the future king if he thinks they’re being too rough
No one is allowed to get too close to you and if they do, Jace will always have one hand on his sword just in case he needs to defend you
He will even better himself at sword fighting, pushing himself to the limits during the hours that he’s not with you so that he can always be prepared
For Jacaerys, you being pregnant is sort of like a wake-up call for him, a chance for him to finally rise to his responsibilities and become a bit more serious
He understands the weight of being king now and for Jace, he’ll want to put away all childish things so that he could become the man you and your child need
Giving Birth
Oh my god he’s so supportive
I’m talking like this is a man that will get behind you and physically hold you while you push
Despite what anyone says, he will be there for the birth of his child and he will be so soothing
Holding you, kissing you, kissing your neck to calm you down, taking the cloth from the Maester and wiping the sweat off of your forehead
Jacaerys’ support of you never ends and he’s constantly telling you how proud of you he is even while you’re screaming your lungs out
He’ll help you breathe and let you squeeze his hand till you break it if that’s what you so desire
Calling you his brave girl and letting out teary laughter when your baby is finally delivered
After Birth
When your child is born, it’s like fatherhood is something Jacaerys is born for
He’s a natural; knowing exactly what to say and how to raise your children even if you are still figuring it out
Seriously, it’s like he has a cheat code or something
If the two of you have a boy, then Jace won’t hesitate to start grooming him to be king and unlike most father’s, he is very involved in his son’s upbringing
Jacaerys will be the one to teach him how to hold a sword, how to ride a horse and a dragon. Jace will be there for his son every step of the way no matter how improper it may seem
Likewise, if he has a daughter, he will be entirely overprotective
If you thought it was bad when she was in the womb, just wait until Jace takes one look at his baby girl
Suddenly, he’s terrified to let her out of his sight; sometimes even holding her on his knee during council meetings. She likes to play with the marble and Jace tries so hard to keep a straight face while also wrestling it out of her hands
Everyone at the meeting will try and pretend like they don’t hear her babbling and like it’s not the cutest thing ever while they’re talking about literal war
Overall, Jace would be prepared to defend you and your children to the death if need be, and he would be such a stern but loving dad
Lucerys Velaryon
Finding Out
Luke doesn’t even notice that you haven’t gotten your moon blood for several months and neither do you, until one day a servant happens to say something and you’re both like: oh shit
Since you both are still quite young you’re not really supposed to be having heirs at the moment. Like Rhaenyra specifically told this boy to not get you pregnant just yet and now he’s terrified of telling her
So yeah, it was an accident and Luke is so nervous he’s literally shaking when the Maester confirms it
But sweet boy, he will do his very best to remain calm and will put on a brave face for you
He’ll act like he’s not scared as well at the prospect of having children so young but on the inside he’s freaking out. He’ll hold your hand tightly and give you kisses to calm you down, keeping his voice from shaking to seem brave
During Pregnancy
Even though it’s a little too soon for the both of you to become parents, Luke will slowly become excited at the prospect of becoming a father
Like he’s so proud, growing to love his child before you’re even four months along
He decides right then and there that he’ll do anything to protect you and his child and swears that no harm will ever come to either of you
While you’re pregnant, Luke will take on every single responsibility so that you won’t be stressed out. He always has you relaxing and content while he deals with all of the hard stuff
And yeah, over the course of the months he will find himself growing up a little
Maybe a little bit too fast, much his mother’s sadness, but Rhaenyra can’t help but love the look of pride of Luke’s face every time he touches your belly. And neither can you
You love when Luke rubs your son or daughter and you especially love when he blows raspberries on your stomach, giggling every time while he coos to the baby or talks to them in High Valerian
It’s a such a sweet moment to witness and many people, sometimes even Daemon, catch themselves smiling or smirking at you and the young prince
Giving Birth
Okay, so Lucerys is now back to being scared shitless
It all started on the day you delivered your child, with Luke sweating and pacing outside of your room while the Maesters attended to you
Your screams severely upset him and he kept pacing back and forth in the hallway, peeking in the room and desperately trying to get a glimpse of you before the Maesters pushed him out
He wants to be there for you so bad, especially since it’s your first pregnancy and you’re crying your eyes out for him
Eventually, he’ll just have to say damn it and force his way in, gathering his courage for his wife. And even though the Maesters tell him that it’s highly improper, he’ll ignore them and will hold your hand the entire way
Whispering sweet praises in your ear and stroking your back while Rhaenyra or your own mother loudly encourages you
He’ll be so worried up until the moment he hears that first cry, and that’s when everything just melts away for Luke and all he can feel is happiness when the Maester hands you your child
After Birth
After your child is born, you and Luke are the absolute best parents
You’re both soft and gentle with your baby, and you’re glowing in a way that Luke just absolutely loves
Both of you have immense pride for your son or daughter and you fall in love immediately despite not even knowing if you were ready yet
You just…jump in and honestly it’s not so bad for you and Luke once your bundle of joy finally gets there
Lucerys especially is thrilled, winning the best dad award for always playing with your child or making up silly games to make them laugh
You love watching him interact with your baby because he’s just so good at it and he doesn’t even realize it
Sometimes, he’ll confess his insecurities that he might not do a good job at raising your kid and you literally have to be like: hold up. Luke you’re doing amazing already
He’d be scared and terrified on where this new adventure would lead but honestly, Lucerys has never been happier and in the end it would all work out
Also, he totally gets so excited when you let him pick out an egg for the baby, just like he did for his brothers
It’s almost like it’s tradition, and every single time Luke knows exactly the right one to choose
Aemond Targaryen
Finding Out
If you’re nervous to tell Aemond, then don’t be
Nine times out of ten he’s so perceptive that he’ll put it together himself and Aemond will be over the moon
He will not stop smiling the entire time the Maesters confirm it, pressing a hand to your stomach and kissing your belly
His reaction kind of throws you off a little bit because you’ve never seen him so excited in his life, but he reassures you that he’s been waiting so long for this moment and now he’s just ecstatic that it’s finally here
During Pregnancy
While you’re pregnant, Aemond hardly ever lets you leave your bed chambers. Nor does he let anyone other than your family or Maesters near you
He’s just so protective and he’s paranoid that something’s going to happen so he wants you to be safe at all costs
He definitely does his own research because it’s not like he distrusts the Maester’s, he just wants to be sure that he knows what they know and more about childbirth in case he has to step in
God forbid your baby won’t come or is stuck upside down—two common themes for Targaryen children. Aemond reads all about it so that he knows different ways of getting the baby out or repositioning it without hurting you
He’ll also read about different birth techniques and decides to teach you to make your labor easier
Making you drink raspberry tea, take walks or stretch to lesson your pain when the time comes
You have to admit, you’re a bit shocked when your husband comes to you and makes you start doing breathing exercises with him
After all, who would have thought Aemond of all people would be so involved and so devoted?
It definitely warms your heart to see though—and no matter how much you want to wave him, you always end up letting him help you because you trust your husband you know more than anything he has yours and your child’s best interests at heart
Giving Birth
Aemond will respect your privacy and will wait outside during your labors, but you better believe he’ll be right there
Listening to every scream and every detail just in case he feels the need to step in
If you really want him to be there, he absolutely will be in a heartbeat. And if anybody tries to stop him he’ll venomously tell them to get out of his way before pushing them aside
As much as he loves his incoming child, majority of Aemond’s focus will be on you and your safety
He’ll make sure everything is going smoothly before he even thinks about celebrating and only then will he finally start to smile, a grin like no other taking over his face when your baby is finally placed in his arms
After Birth
Aemond is a caring yet trusting father
He knows that if his child came from you, they’ll already grow up to be exceptional so he allows them to grow into their own person
He doesn’t hover, but he does care. A lot
He may not show it in every way but if your child wants his attention, they’ve got it. If they want to play with him, he absolutely will. If they want to be comforted? He’s there. They tell him they want some space? Then Aemond is in the next room over, ready to talk when they are
In a way, your children are way for Aemond to heal his own self. To be there as a parent like his never were
Early on, Aemond already swore to you and your babe that he would never abandon you or ignore you when you needed him most
He swore to break the curse his parents placed on him so he is very involved with his kids
He’s also very protective, especially considering what he went through in his childhood. He never wants his child to feel left out so Aemond will go searching for a dragon egg pretty early on
You better believe that thing is burning HOT until the moment it’s ready to be placed in your child’s cradle
And Aemond swears
He swears by the old gods and the new that if they allow his child to have their own dragon he would never commit another sin again, if that’s what it took
And sure enough, Aemond is beyond relieved when your babies egg hatches—the widest grin ever overtaking his face as the baby dragon prances about
You swear—you sometimes joke that it was Aemond’s fiery gaze on the egg that hatched it and not nature
And while that very well may be true, Aemond is just grateful nevertheless that even if he wasn’t delt the best cards, he sure would find a way to rig the game for his children
Anything just to make them happy
Daemon Targaryen
Finding Out
You wish you could say that after having two children of his own, your husband would recognize the signs of pregnancy
But unfortunately Daemon is not a man that concerns himself with that kind of stuff so it’s the Maester that points it out to him
And at first, Daemon is stunned
Like okay—he knows that he never pulls out and that the two of you go multiple rounds a day but pregnant?
He thought that your tits getting bigger was just, well, a huge blessing for him
He can hardly believe his ears or that he’s going to have more children
Briefly, he jokes that he may as well start breeding his own army which causes you to punch his arm
Joke aside though, Daemon is really happy and he will shower you with kisses, laughing slightly at how his seed must be extra strong to stick so fast
During Pregnancy
Daemon is not really much help himself, expect for when it comes to massages or warm baths
Almost every night, to ease your discomfort, your Lord husband will bathe you which is oddly intimate for him, or he will massage your feet and shoulders to soothe some of the pain
Of course, your other activities will remain as well which helps a little the closer you get to birth
Mostly, Daemon will be ordering Maesters around or just simply asking you of your progress from time to time
He really hopes for a boy secretly, and sometimes while you’re sleeping or just barely awake, he will rub your stomach and whisper sweet phrases in High Valerian
Expect Daemon to also already have the names of his children picked out, boy or girl
He might even ask Baela or Rhaena their opinion and let them choose an egg from Caraxes
If he has to be somewhere else where he cannot physically look after you, he’ll also entrust his daughters to keep them informed and up to date on your condition
Giving Birth
Daemon is outside, on the balcony while your screams reach his ears
Truth be told, it’s too much. He can’t be there as much he wants to be—as much as you surely need him to be
After witnessing Laena’s death, childbirth has become quite traumatizing for Daemon so he prefers to remain outside, waiting until a Maester or one of his daughters come to fetch him
Of course, Baela—ever her father’s daughter—scolds Daemon a bit and reminds him that every lady wife needs her husband during such times
But Daemon will not budge, not until Rhaena comes to the balcony with an unreadable expression on her face
At first, Daemon is terrified. He stands, the breath freezing in his lungs as he tries to decipher what that might mean. Your screams had died down…perhaps…
Daemon stands, his heart clenching in chest as he begins to possibly grapple with another untimely death of the one he loved. He prepares himself, but then a wide smile grows on Rhaena’s face and Daemon knows all is well
“My sibling is here. It is healthy, father.”
That’s all Daemon needs. And suddenly, he’s tearing himself away and down the halls, straight to your room where he walks in on the sight of your smiling face and the glowing cheeks of his newborn child
After Birth
You like to give Daemon the benefit of the doubt and say that he spends an equal amount of time with his children
Of course, maybe a little bit more attention towards the baby since he or she does need Daemon more than his adolescent children, but as your child grows up pretty much everything is the same
Baela and Rhaena absolutely adore their new sibling and vice versa. They may be a bit older but you’ll always find the three of them playing together or one of the girls reading them a bed time story
It always warms your heart to see them bond, and Daemon’s too
Though he’ll never admit it, his favorite thing to do is spy on his children and eavesdrop as the girls help the youngest with their Valerian
Or when the three of them are together, somehow still fitting on his lap and Daemon teaches them the history of their house while you sit in the background, smiling
It’s special moments like those that remind you that while you may have married a morally grey man, his number one priority would always be his family
And you know more than anyone that with Daemon around, the five of you would never have anything to fear

"Maybe I'm Better Off Dead" Part 2 Velaryon!Reader x Aemond Targaryen
Tumblr media
Summary: Visenya is married to Aemond, who tries to keep her safe, but she is still a prisoner in a war just beginning.
Part 1
When I woke up, the sun was shining in brightly from the windows, which were now covered with bars. The bars were only a few inches apart, so there was no chance of slipping through the gaps.
"Are you hungry?" I turned to see Aemond sitting on the sofa where he slept last night.
"No." I replied, shifting in the bed slightly so I was sitting.
"It's not poisoned." He said, taking a bite of the bread on the tray in front of him. When I didn't respond, he took a bite of the porridge as well.
"Not all poison is immediate. You could just be waiting for an antidote while I suffer a slow death." I challenged.
He sighed, "very well. My mother brought some dresses for you if you wish to change while we wait."
"So you can take the antidote while I'm changing behind the screen?"
"You're quite impossible." He remarked. "Though, I never said you had to go behind the screen." He added with a smirk.
"It's not as if you need to ask anything of me."
His face hardened immediately, "I told you, I will never touch you without your permission."
"Aegon will not allow that. He will expect you to take my maidenhood."
"I already have a plan for that." He replied. I raised an eyebrow at him after he didn't elaborate. "Has your mother explained to you what happens?"
My cheeks flamed and all I could do was shake my head softly.
We were both spared the embarrassment of further conversation by the announcement of his mother at the door.
"You may enter." He said and moments later the doors opened to reveal the Queen Mother in a long velvet green dress.
"Aemond, your brother would like to discuss some things with you before the ceremony." He bowed to his mother before flashing a quick glance at me and leaving myself alone with Alicent. "Shall I help you dress for your wedding?" Her tone was not one of questioning, so I simply stood and followed her over to the pile of green dresses. "You needn't be afraid. Aemond has always been my gentle and kind boy." She said while selecting the most ornate of the dresses. One embroidered with countless tiny flowers and golden beads.
"He murdered my brother." I replied once again.
"The same brother who maimed him?" She challenged.
"We were children. Luke never meant to-" I paused realizing I had said exactly what she wanted.
"Just as Aemond never meant to kill Lucerys." She continued to speak as she helped me into the heavy dress. "Your grandsire was always terrified that his own family would go to war against each other. I think he was right and I'm sure your mother prepared you for that. You have the opportunity to prevent that by marrying Aemond and keeping peace. I know you don't want to and I know you're scared, just as I was, but I promise, no harm will come to you. You can still live a happy life with children you adore."
"You used to be my mother's closest friend." I said through teary eyes as she lead me over to a seat and began running a brush through the tangles in my hair.
"I did and I wish we would not have grown so far apart. Women follow the lead of men. I chose to follow Viserys and do my duty to my country. Your mother chose to follow her desires with your father rather than her husband."
"My mother chose to be happy, to find love and to allow Leanor to do the same. I understand that it was wrong, but it never had to become this. You could've chosen to be happy too." I caught her eye in the small mirror.
"You are a clever girl, but you are still young. You cannot break tradition that has lasted thousands of years. Thousands of men, women, and children will die in this war because your mother decided that her heart was more important than their lives. You can chose to follow the same fate or you can chose to find happiness in the life you have been given." She carefully pushed the last pin just a little too far and I felt it scrap my scalp. A threat that did not go unnoticed. She always hated me and that would not change as I married her son.
My stomach twisted into knots and my heart felt like it would explode out of my chest, but I forced my emotions down and held my head high. I would not cry in a room full of my enemies. The Usurper held my hand on his arm as he led me toward the man who murdered my brother. The blood pounded in my ears as we were married. I couldn't hear anything the Septon was saying. I wanted to scream and run, but I knew I would never be allowed to leave. I considered killing Aegon and ending this war, but I knew Ser Criston Cole, the man my mother had given a job to, would cut me down before I came within inches of victory. Aemond studied my face carefully as our hands were bound together. His eyes seemed to hold concern and pity. As much as I wanted to close myself off to him, I knew Alicent was right, if I did my duty, then perhaps the rest of my family could survive this. I couldn't let anyone else die. Aemond was gentle as he placed a hand on my cheek and slowly leaned forward to kiss me. My first. It seemed to last an eternity as he held our lips together before pulling away and taking my hand in his as we walked through the crowd of people out the front doors.
Once the doors shut behind us, he leaned down and whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry." I looked up at him in confusion, he was my husband now, he could do as he pleased, why would he apologize for kissing me?
"Let us go feast and celebrate the end to this fighting!" Aegon announced as he marched through the doors. He seemed to be the only one under the impression this would end the fighting, but as the King, no one challenged him.
Aemond stayed by my side for the rest of the evening, though apart from dancing, he never touched me. I started to become slightly comforted by his presence as many men who would be generals in the war to come approached me with thinly veiled threats of what was to become of my family. I was comforted until Aegon proudly proclaimed that it was time the bedding ceremony.
"My King, as we discussed, I would like the privilege of bedding my wife in privacy, if it pleases you." Aemond replied.
"Ah, yes, of course. My brother wishes to conquer alone. Very well." He waved us off and as we walked closer to his, or I supposed as it was now, our chambers I began to feel more and more afraid. The moment I stepped inside the room and the doors closed, I completely froze and the tears I tried so hard to force back came tumbling down my cheeks.
I could see Aemond out of the corner of my eye begin to strip off his clothes and tossed them next to the bed. I turned away before he took off everything.
"Once you change into your night clothes you hand me your dress." I didn't respond, but simply took off my dress and handed it to him, sneaking a quick glance only to find that he was also wearing his night clothes. He took the dress and tugged hard, tearing the fabric around the neck of the dress and tossed it on top of his clothes. I still hadn't moved from the spot I was glued to. "Visenya." I snapped my head up to meet his gaze. "I truly meant it. I'm sorry for today and I will not tonight, nor ever, force you to lay with me."
He walked over to the couch without another word and laid down. I was unable to completely relax, but I made my way over to the bed and settled into the sheets. Perhaps, he was right, maybe I wouldn't be harmed here.
I woke up to someone gently shaking my shoulder and immediately shot up, slamming into someone. He grunted softly, but still was the one to apologize. "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you."
"It's okay."
"Aegon will be here soon, so you get dressed, while I take care of this." I noticed he was bleeding from a small cut on his torso. He noted my confusion. "When a maiden lays with a man for the first time, she bleeds. Aegon will expect to see that we consummated our marriage."
"Oh."
"It's alright. Toss your night dress over when you change, I'll need that too." He was quiet and also clearly uncomfortable. I nodded and climbed out of bed to go put on one of the green dresses from Alicent, tossing my night dress over as he asked.
I came out and saw that he was now dressed as well, but our clothes from last night and this morning were in a messy pile next to the bed. The sheets were all tangled together and I saw the blood on them.
"Thank you." I said softly, chancing a glance at him. He looked as though he was going to say something else before the doors burst open and the King entered.
"I trust you enjoyed your evening, brother." He said, coming in and walking toward the bed. His lips spread into a wide grin as he took in the scene before him. It turned to a smirk as his eyes found me. "and you, Princess. Did you enjoy yourself?" I wanted to remain brave, but something in his eyes caused me to shrink back, almost instantly bumping into Aemond, though I didn't remember seeing him move toward me.
"Can I help you with anything else, my King?" He said from behind me.
"Yes, I would like for you to fly to Storms End and inform Lord Baratheon that I require the presence of him and his men here to begin preparing for battle. Lord Hightower expects the bitch to attempt to rescue her little girl." He directed the last part at me.
"I did not expect to leave my wife so soon."
"When you return you will have plenty of time to make little lords and ladies. It will be a quick trip." His request was given as a King and therefore not one to be refused, so Aemond left. "I shall have your meals brought here until your husband returns tomorrow." Aegon added to me before he left the room.
It was a relief to finally be left alone and not feel constantly on guard, though as much as I was unsure at the beginning I was starting to feel even a little safe with Aemond. Perhaps he truly didn't mean to kill Luke and maybe he did regret it. I spent the day reading books that were left in the room, though I was not truly absorbing the words I consumed, it helped to pass the time until the evening.
The sheets were changed when the servants brought dinner, so they were clean as I settled into bed. I missed my family, but I now had some hope that I would see them one day.
Once again I awoke to the touch of someone and for a moment I thought it was Aemond until I remembered he was gone. I tried to sit up, but quickly realized I was pinned down. I screamed when I realized it was Aegon.
"Perhaps we will make some bastards of our own." He sneered as he roughly kissed down my neck and forced my dress up. I kept screaming and violently thrashed, trying everything in my power to get free, but it was no use. He was the King and as such, no one would be coming to my aid. The more I fought back, the harder he hit me until eventually I couldn't fight back anymore, all I could do was cry.
The next day no one came to bring me food or change the sheets. There was no bath and no new clothes. I didn't move, because everything hurt and I realized how stupid I had been to think I was ever safe here. Sleep came in short periods if terrible nightmares and the waking world was no different. I was terrified he would return, so when the doors opened again, I scrambled off the bed and shoved myself into the corner, ignoring the ripples of pain throughout my body.
I heard him inhale sharply before calling out my name, but I didn't move or make a single sound until he came around the side of the bed and saw me.
"Stay away from me." I croaked my throat raw.
"Who did this to you?" He growled.
"You know. That's why you left, so he could have his turn. You lied to me and tricked me so I would think I was safe, so I would trust you."
"I didn't I swear." He stopped "Did Aegon do this to you?"
I didn't bother to respond.
"I'm going to help you escape. Stay here. If you want to change clothes, you can. I'm going to figure out how to free your dragon and then tonight I'm getting you out of here." His voice held an uncharacteristic edge, but I wasn't naive enough to believe him again.
The only thing I did was take one of the new dresses and change out of the clothes I was wearing before sitting on the sofa. This time, I didn't get a book, I simply stared at the window, watching as night fell. When Aemond returned he didn't let the doors close behind him, but instead waited in the doorway and asked if I wanted to go for a stroll. The guards on either side of the doors reminded me that I did not have a choice, so I stood and made my way over to him. We walked in silence for a while before we rounded a corned and he pulled me into a secret passage.
"I know you have no reason to believe me anymore, but I had no idea. I am so sorry for what my family has done to you, for what I have done to you." He pulled a cloak over himself and handed one to me. "Some of the dragon pit handlers are loyal to your mother and when I told them what Aegon had done, they agreed to help you escape. It's this way." He held up a lamp and I followed behind him as we made our way through the passage before finally coming up just outside of the Dragonpit where my beautiful dragon was already waiting. "Go quickly." He said while looking around for other people.
"He's going to kill you when he finds out what you did." I said, causing him to turn to me.
"I know, but I'm going to do my best to stop this war from happening."
"Thank you, Aemond." I truly meant it. For the things he had done, I should hate him, but I could see that he hated himself just as much as I did. He was trying to be different and risking his own life to save mine.
"I am truly sorry." I wanted to hug him, but I was also still so scared, so I just gave him a smile before mounting my dragon and taking off. Aemond had given me enough of a head start that I knew I could make it home, but I still kept going as fast as we could until I landed in the courtyard at Dragonstone.
I must've looked as bad as I felt because the guards rushed me inside and several took off to wake my mother and Uncle, though it was Jace who found me first. As soon as I saw him, I collapsed into sobs. He held me gently as I cried.
"Visenya!" My mothers voice broke halfway through my name and I turned to see her sprinting towards me with my Uncle just behind her.
"I left him. I'm so sorry. I-" My words were incoherent, but she shushed me and pulled me into her arms.
"Oh my sweet girl, it isn't your fault. You're home now. You're safe." I was so exhausted after hugging each member of my family and after some time, my mother sent them off until only Daemon, Jace, Rhaenys, and Corlys remained.
"I know you're tired and hungry, but we have to ask you what happened. Can you tell us?" Daemon asked as I sat next to my mother who hadn't let go of me the entire time.
I nodded and told them everything starting from Luke's death at Storms End, all the way through Aemond helping me escape.
My mother wrapped an arm around my shoulders as I told her what Aegon had done. Jace's face hardened with anger, but Daemon only made on small movement as his hand reached for the hilt of Dark Sister.
"We will speak soon of what we will do, for now, you get some rest." Daemon said, only the slightest edge to his voice.
Corlys and Rhaenys left first. Daemon hugged me and then Jace, each one reminding me how happy they were to have me home. Then, my mother and I left, making our way to my room where a feast was already waiting. She helped me bathe and dress in my own clothes. As I ate, she brushed my hair, softly running a hand over it each time.
"I think Aemond truly was sorry. While I was there he protected me. Thats why Aegon sent him away, I think he knew, Aemond never would've let him hurt me." I said to her.
She sighed, "Aemond is a clever man."
"Alicent said the same of me." She paused for the slightest moment before continuing to brush my hair.
"Do you care for Aemond?" She asked, catching me off guard.
"No, of course not, I just-" I stopped. It was far too complicated to describe how I felt for Aemond. He killed my brother and took me hostage, but maybe a part of me did care for him.
"It isn't anything you need to decide for tonight. For now, you sleep for as long as you wish. You are safe at home." She tucked me into the bed and kissed the top of my head before walking toward the door.
"Wait!" I stopped, feeling too silly to speak my thoughts aloud. I was brave and strong. "Never mind."
My mother smiled knowingly and came back to the bed to lay next to me. She ran her fingers through my hair and softly sang songs of Old Valeryia until I fell asleep.
A/N: Thank you all so much for the support on Part 1. I had no idea so many people would enjoy it! I can continue it if people want that or this could be a good place to end it as well.

Tumblr media
Months have gone by since the prince Jacaerys left for Winterfell to gain House Stark and the North for the cause of his mother, Queen Rhaenyra. His visit should have been a short one, but Cregan Stark insisted he spent more time in the North. According to his letter, Lord Stark had taken a liking to him and wanted Jacaerys to get a true experience of the North. He said that getting closer to the northmen would help gain their support.
Life on Dragonstone was lonely without him. A part of yourself was missing.
You spent time with Baela and Rhaena, helped Lucerys get more confident with his dragon, played with Joffrey when no one would. You were in the early stages of a civil war, the adults didn’t have much time for the young boy. The Queen was grateful for your help.
A few days ago, after you got back from riding your dragon, a raven came from Winterfell — a new message from Jacaerys saying he should be expected to return in the late afternoon.
Excitement bubbled in your stomach.
Rushing to your chamber, you didn't want to greet him smelling of dragon. You shed your riding clothes as a handmaid helped you fill your tub with hot water. She added rose oil to make your skin soft and you made sure to scrub extra hard with the brush. You wanted to look nice for Jacaerys.
After bathing, you put on a clean dress and asked Baela for help with your hair. She was the best at braiding.
‘’Do you think he missed me while he was away?’’
Behind you, Baela chuckled as she twisted your braids and pinned them. ‘’I wouldn't doubt it, Lady Y/N.’’
Hearing a dragon's roar, you jumped and went to your window. The air was gloomy, making it difficult to see through the horizon. You bit your lip, searching for an olive green shape. Although he was a small dragon, Vermax’s red wings were easy to discern in the skies.
You glanced over your shoulder to Baela. ‘’They’re here.’’
She finished your hair, ensuring every strand fell perfectly in place, and you descended the stairs with Baela on your tracks.
As you reached the great hall, you saw the Queen and her children standing near the painted table, accompanied by a hubbub of voices. Lucerys talked animatedly about sword practice while a very excited Joffrey was jumping on his feet, excited to see his big brother. Rhaenyra told them to quiet down and give Jacaerys some air, which made you laugh.
The sound caught their attention, and Jacaerys' eyes shifted to you.
He had grown since he left — his shoulders broader, his stature more commanding. His once pin-straight hair now cascaded in soft curls that framed his face perfectly. He looked nothing like a Targaryen anymore.
‘’Jace,’’ you whispered, a smile lighting up your face as you approached him.
For supper, a small feast was held in his honor. Daemon and Rhaena joined you for the meal, raising their cup to Jacaerys’ return.
When the hour started to get late, you and Jacaerys retired to your chamber. Half-way there up the stairs, he pulled you into a corner of the staircase and kissed you the way he had been dying to since he got back. You pulled a moan out of him when your teeth glided against his bottom lip, and circled your arms around his neck as his hands were gripping your hips with a strength that was new.
A voice came from the staircase below — probably one of the servants —, prying the two of you apart. You giggled against Jacaerys' shoulder.
Once you reached the privacy of your chamber, Jacaerys shut the door and drew you to him again as he kissed along your jaw and down your neck. You moaned under the touch of his mouth, melting against him as your fingers worked on each other’s clothes, pulling at the laces and buckles until they fell off your bodies and onto the floor.
You tried to not step on your dress as you walked back to the bed, then let your shift slip down your shoulders and pool at your feet, leaving you fully naked.
‘’Gods.’’
You blushed as Jacaerys followed down your neck to between your legs, taking his time to admire your body. You had never felt truly desired before him. Only objectified — as were all women in Westeros.
‘’Do you like what you see, my Prince?’’ you asked, his eyes finding their way back to yours.
Jacaerys didn’t respond. All he did was gently push you down into the bed.
You expected him to get on the bed too, but to your surprise, he kneeled at the end of it and pulled you close to the edge. A frown drew between your eyebrows as you looked down. You opened your mouth to ask what he was doing on the floor, but the words got caught in your throat as Jacaerys kissed the inside of your thighs.
It was something new, but not disagreeable.
Then, he pushed your thighs further apart and pressed the sweetest kiss right over your slit, causing you to squirm.
‘’Jace, what are you—’’
Your question died on your tongue as he peaked out and flicked your clit, sending a jolting sensation up your core. Jacaerys didn't stop there — he was far from finished with you. He laid his tongue flat and licked a fat strip up your entrance to your clit, stirring a gasp from your lips.
Your reaction made him smile, encouraging him to pursue. He took a second lick of your cunt, then captured your clit between his lips to suckle at. You let out a mewl of pleasure, your hand traveling down your body to clutch at Jacaerys's soft hair. He alternated between sucking and licking at you, the room filling with obscene noises as your legs tightened on each side of his face, caging him.
Releasing your clit, Jacaerys slid his tongue between your folds, tasting your arousal on his tongue. You've had his fingers inside you, but never his tongue. Arching your back, you pushed against his face, asking for more. And Jacaerys was happy to give it to you, adding a finger to the mix and pushing deeper inside you.
With your free hand, you clutched the sheets, biting your lips and holding back the moans that wanted to slip out. Had Lucerys’s bedchamber not been so close to yours, you would not have held them back. But y0u didn’t wish to scar his young ears. The poor boy would not be able to look you in the eyes again.
Jacaerys withdrew his tongue and added a second finger, moving the former back to your clit and making a slobbering mess all over you.
The rush of pleasure filling your body intensified and you rolled your hips into his face with abandon as your orgasm snapped. Your husband’s name left your lips in a delicate whimper, throwing your head back as he lapped at you, taking everything you were giving him.
Easing your hands off his hair, you slowed your hips down.
Jacaerys took the cue and left your pussy alone.
‘’Where did you learn that?’’ you asked, looking down between your legs as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
He rose to his feet and fell back on the bed with you. ‘’The North.’’
Your heart sank, and a knot formed in your stomach. Thoughts raced through your mind, thinking he had bedded another woman. You would have never thought that he would commit infidelity.
Seeing the concern etched across your face, Jacaerys reached out to gently cup your cheek, his touch warm and reassuring. ‘’No,’’ he said softly, his eyes searching yours for understanding. ‘’Not…’’ He shook his head. ‘’Never.’’
His words washed over you like a wave of relief.
‘’Northmen, when they get drunk, they talk a lot. About their hunts, about their horses, about the things they do to their women in bed. I didn’t know women could be kissed there, but I wanted to try it. Did you…did you enjoy it?’’
A smile curled on your lips as you looked at him. His physique may have changed while he was in the North, but inside, he was the same nervous boy you wed in the spring.
You nodded slowly. ‘’Can you do it again?’’

Daemon Targaryen x Targaryen Reader
Summary: Daemon finally finds love
Tumblr media
Aella Targaryen was nothing like the rest of her family. She couldn't be. Many would often said she was a sweet girl whose only mistake was to have Valyrian blood cursing through her veins. House Targaryen had been on the Iron Throne for over a hundred years, she could remember the throne, it was rather beautiful she would admit. But, House Targaryen was a cursed lineage. Aella thought it was because they were all related. Brothers married sisters, uncles married nieces, cousins married cousins.
When Aella was brought to court she was nothing but a babe. Only one perhaps two moons old. Daughter of Saera Targaryen and her brother Rhaegar Targaryen. Rhaegar and Saera had both been wild and untamable. The two ran away after Saera escaped Old Town and they were never seen again until now. Aella Targaryen was born in the year 105. Rhaegar brought his daughter to court, to present among the realm. Saera had died in her birthing chamber. Viserys, who had lost his wife a nearly two years prior welcomed them both. Aella grew up beside Alicent’s children and Rhaenyra's children.
Aella although growing up with her cousins she preferred to be alone, sitting in the gardens or her room and reading a history book. Her father wondered where she had gotten all of that, she was not like her mother or him. But, there were things he did like singing, poems and song writing much like his daughter. Aella had the basic training, in case she had to protect herself but the young girl no matter the circumstances could never and would never bring herself to hurt anyone. It wasn't in her blood no matter how much her father tried. But Rhaegar would protect his daughter no matter the cost. She rode Meraxes, queen Rhaenys dragon, the princess died that day but her dragon lived.
As the years passed, Aella Targaryen grew into a beautiful maiden. "The Realm's Angel" or "The Realm's Desire" surpassing her cousin Rhaenyra in beauty and everything else. Aella had reached her ten and five name day and was yet to be unmarried. Her father was the reason for that, although he was no king he saw that no one was fit to marry his only child. No one would ever be good enough. Alicent thought it would be a good idea to marry her to Aegon or Aemond if she wished. Rhaenyra thought she would be a great match for Jacaerys or Lucerys. Rhaegar Targaryen refused, once again. But, a few moons later he passed from a swollen belly, leaving his only child at the mercy of her family.
Aella didn't know who to choose as her family had given her the choice to marry who she wanted between the four boys. She was dutiful, whoever her uncle had chosen she would have married but she did not want to disappoint anyone by choosing wrong. The council knew that Aella marrying either of her nephews was a tragedy waiting to happen, so the young girl offered a marriage between another house but Rhaenyra, Alicent and the king denied her. Daemon who had recently lost his wife asked her to marry him, to unite themselves and protect each other. Aella was young, only fifteen summers old what did she know about love. She knew more about duty than love.
So, to stop any family issues or more drama she agreed and secretly married Daemon, consummating their marriage, now it could not be broken. The news reached King's Landing the morning after, creating chaos in the court. The king was fragile in health so he did nothing, besides they were married and they had consummated there was no breaking anything. Rhaenyra stayed in King's Landing, while Daemon, his wife and two daughters remained in Dragonstone. Nearly a year after their wedding Baelon Targaryen and Rhaegar Targaryen were born. Strong boys. On their second named day, their sisters Rhaella and Visenya had been born. When the boys were five, their sisters three Aemma and Viserys were born.
Baela and Rhaena quickly accepted Aella as she had this motherly warmth the girls loved and she had glady taken the role as their mother, not that she would try to replace the girls mother but she did her best to love and care for them as she did for her own children. Aella with Daemon's approval let the girls ride their dragons to Driftmark to visit their grandparents. Rhaenys and Corlys were grateful that the young girl allowed them to visit their mother's family as much and as often as they could. The six children had been kept a secret through out the years. Aella was near her one and twenty name day. As a result, the king had invited her and her family to celebrate as a family.
Her arrival had been expected, Aegon was now married to Helaena and had two children, twins. Jaehaerys and Jaehaera. Aemond was unmarried but as far as she knew he was bethroted to a Baratheon girl. Jacaerys was to marry soon but his mother and father were looking for a suitable match. When she arrived, Daemon and the girls were waiting as her and the children had sailed there due to the young kids. Rhaenys and Corlys who were there watched their granddaughters run to their new mother. They saw the love the two girls had for her. King Viserys recovered and went back to being the peaceful king he was. He waited with his family as he watched Daemon help his wife.
She had turned into a beautiful woman, everyone could agree. She seemed happy with Daemon. And she was, he treated her good and with respect. "My king, my queen" she  greeted with a nod. "Princess Rhaenyra, Laenor" she said with a smile. She greeted everyone. "Now, may we present our children?" she asked and everyone turned to her. They were surprised. The king nodded and Daemon signaled the maids to bring them. "Baelon and Rhaegar, our oldest. Visenya and Rhaella out second oldest. Viserys and Aemma our youngest" Daemon introduced as the four oldest made their bows to the king and queen. The youngest were only one.
"May I?" the king asked as he took Aemma, she had her eyes. Rhaenys took Viserys. "Baelon looks like our father, and Rhaegar looks like Aemon" Rhaenys nodded in agreement. Everyone cooed over the Aella'a children and all she did was smile. During the feast for her nameday, Daemon and his wife could see the tension between Alicent and Rhaenyra. "I would like to propose an alliance between our families" Aella began. She had spoken with Corlys and Rhaenys, and of course her husband. "A bethrotal between Jacaerys and Baela. And Rhaena with prince Lucerys" she said with a smile. Rhaenyra smiled. "I think that is a great idea" Daemon held her hand and nodded. "In addition, if Aegon and Helaena agree Jaehaera could marry Baelon and Vinseya Jaehaerys" the table was quiet but Alicent smiled. "I think that is magnificent idea" the king nodded in agreement. "Our house will be united" she smiled happy with the outcome.
Aella Targaryen was a woman many remembered, she had given her family peace but that peace nearly broke when Otto Hightower deemed her dangerous, sending for someone to kill the princess. The princess perished on top of her dragon as a scorpion hit the beast right in the neck, killing it instantly. She received the same fate as queen Rhaenys. The lady didn't survive the fall. Daemon Targaryen never remarried but once he found out who killed her, the Hightowers, more importantly Otto, he was killed soon after. Alicent was pardoned as she didn't know anything. Rhaenyra was crown queen and the princess match's were honored as Baela married Jacaerys, Rhaena Lucerys, and once older Baelon and Visenya married Aegon's children.
The Sweet Summer Child died but her memory remained throughout the years. Aella Targaryen iii married her brother Rhaegar, giving him the heirs he needed. House Targaryen didn't end with Daenerys Targaryen, it went on. It prospered. From Aella Targaryen the first, came the prince that was promised and the realm lived in peace.

You weren’t much of a warrior. You had been raised the way a princess should have been. Well, that’s what your mother told you. However, when two days had passed since Aemond and Aegon had left to confront Rhanerya, and everyone refused to tell you what was happening you decided to get the hell out of there on your dragon.
Maybe you’d end up in Essos and sell a dragon egg for a home. Maybe even Dorne. You could try throw yourself on their mercy. After all, their ambassadors had always seemed to enjoy your company. However, all your plans soon crumbled when you accidentally flew into what you’d assumed to be an empty clearing.
You’d landed in a small field and had quickly tried to ‘borrow’ an apple from a local farm when you felt a strong grip on your arm and a sharp blade on your neck. So cold it had to be Valyrian steel. “And who do we have here?” you recognised Jace’s voice clearly. “Didn’t your mother ever tell you pretty girls shouldn’t go about dawdling?”
-
The stone floors bruised your knees each time you knelt to pray but you didn’t complain or even wince at the pain. You’d counted the days you’d been here by etching marks in the stone with the corner of your Seven-star necklace your mother had given you. 27 days so far. Each morning you prayed. Well, what you thought was morning. Then each afternoon then evening. Each time to a different member of the seven. Even the stranger since perhaps the god of death was the one you truly needed right now.
“My lady,” a sing song voice called out, “Lunch is ready,” Jace said as he approached your cell with his usual grin. He didn’t come every day but when he did it only seemed to add to your punishment. “I made sure to pick you the freshest apple,” he crouched down, holding it out to you.
You kept your eyes on the ground as you tried to finish your prayer, “C’mon now. They’re clearly not listening to you,” he mocked, sitting down the tray in front of the bars to your cell.
Still, you ignored him as you wrapped them up. Jace sighed and just as you finished your prayers he stood, taking the tray with him. “Where are you going?” you called, moving to stand on your feet and grabbing the bars, “That’s my food,”
“No this is my food,” he said, as if he was calling the sky blue, “And you never took it,”
“I was praying!”
“Not fast enough,” he teased. “Maybe next time you’ll remember to acknowledge the heir to Westeros,” he said as he turned to leave.
“My brothers not here,” you mumbled, turning around to go take your place on the wooden bench they called a bed.
The wine cup clattered against the wall, missing your head by only an inch. You span on your heels to confront him, but the only trace was your food dropped on the ground in a head and the apple slowly rolling towards your cell.
It stopped just out of arm’s length of the bars as if the gods really were mocking you. It took you laying on the ground, stretching out the tips of your fingernails to manage to roll it closer so you could grab it. You consoled yourself knowing he never came twice in one day.
Yet this time he did.
Jace arrived with a meal so nice looking it almost reminded you of what you used to eat. There was even a whole chicken leg on it. when he saw the apple core in the corner of your cell Jace couldn’t help but laugh. “Here,” he said, reaching it out for you to try manoeuvre through the bars when he suddenly pulled it back, “Aren’t you going to thank your prince?”
“Thank you,” you glared, reaching your hand out.
Jace just smirked, “Thank you what?”
“Thank you, dear nephew,” you offered with a fake smile.
“Say it. say that I am the true heir, a true prince, and I will be most obliged to give you this chicken leg. Straight from the queens table,” he said, showing it to you once more just to rub it in.
You could feel your stomach rumble, but you couldn’t say it. not after all this time. Not after all the battles. Not for a chicken leg. “My mother isn’t here,” you said through gritted teeth.
Jace reached through the bars, grabbing your neck before you could react. His grasp was tight but despite his fingers digging into your skin you weren’t afraid, “I can only be so patient,” he warned before letting you go. He turned to leave, taking the food with him, “besides, who said your mother is even alive?” he mocked before slamming the door shut behind him.
The stalemate continued for another day and a half and suddenly you were regretting not rationing the apple. At least the guards had kept your water jug topped up, but you didn’t want to risk that being taken too.
“I have a new deal,” Jace said, walking in empty handed.
“Where’s my food?” you said, not even standing from where you sat on your bed.
“That’s not very polite,” Jace tutted, leaning against the bars, “How would you like to get out of here?” you couldn’t help your eyes widening at the idea. Something Jace seemed to revel in. he unlocked your cell and despite wanting to run you sat still as he closed the door behind him. “Come here. Let me get a closer look at you,”
You wanted to slap him but instead you stood up and slowly crossed the floor while Jace’s eyes scanned your frame. “Still so beautiful,” he mumbled before he finally brought his eyes back to yours as your cheeks burned, “I have a new proposal for you,” he said, reaching to stroke your cheek. He was gentle but you still flinched at his touch.
He stepped closer, moving his hand down till he was toying with your necklace, his eyes not so subtly on your chest, “Marry me,” he said, and you instantly grimaced at his words, “Be my wife and I will let you free,”
“I wouldn’t be free,” you snapped, “I’d be the wife of a bastard, a nobody, a waste of space- “you began to spit your venom at him only to be cut off by his tight grasp around your neck.
“I wouldn’t be so hasty if I was you,” he warned, “What I’m offering is generous. You should hear what Daemon had planned for you,” he dropped his grip and you instantly stepped back, trying to recatch your breath.
Jace slowly began to circle you, eyeing you up from every angle as you silently thought over his offer when suddenly a thought popped into your head, “What’s in it for you? Last time I checked you already had a betrothed,”
“Alliances can change, we both know that” he drawled, his chest pressed against your back while his hand grazed your hip. Not mine, you thought, but you stayed silent instead. “Besides I need a wife. Someone to show off in court,” his hand trailed up from your hip to your waist making you shudder through the thin dress they’d gave you, “Someone to bear children. Someone to warm my bed,” he said, his lips pressed against your ear.
His hand went to move to your front, but you grabbed his wrist before he could touch anything, “I’d rather die,” you spat.
Jace grabbed your hips, spinning you around and pulling you flush against his chest, “That can be arranged,” he warned but he still wore his teasing smirk, “You think you’d survive here without me? A pretty young things like yourself in nothing but her night dress roaming around court, think of the scandals. Gods help you if you even make it out the castle. What do you think the small folk would do with a princess like you?”
“Perhaps they’d save me. If they believed in the true king,” you said, trying to hold firm but feeling yourself shake.
He chuckled under his breath, “There is only a queen. C’mon, I can’t be that bad surely. You saying you’ve never thought about it?” he said, his hand moving down to your ass, his lips moving to your ear, “Its not just the gods who know your dirty little secrets,” he whispered, his hot breath fanning your neck.
“I want my dragon back,” you said suddenly making Jace lift his head from where he’d been dragging his lips across your neck, “If I’m to be your wife,”
“As soon as your belly swells with my seed,” he said, “Anything else?”
It felt like a trap, but you tried anyway, “And separate rooms. I don’t want to see you more than I have to,”
He chuckled this time, “That can be arranged, anything else?” you eyed him carefully before shaking your head no. one child and then you could escape with your dragon. It would take a year, maybe two, and then you’d be free. “Good. I shall have them draw up a treaty. But in the meantime,” he said, grabbing your ass so suddenly you gasped, “I want some kind of reassurance you won’t back out,”
“And what’s that?” you asked through gritted teeth.
“I want to fuck you,” he said making the words dry up in your throat, “And if I didn’t know any better id say you wanted me too,”
“And if I say no?” you asked.
Jace dropped his grip, but a smirk fell on his lips as he began to walk away. “Then no deal,” he said, reaching for the door.
“Wait!” you called, reaching out to grab his arm. Jace turned his gaze back to you with a knowing smirk, “I suppose if you are to be my husband. The gods, they’d understand,” you said, trying to rationalise it all.
Jace moved closer to you till his chest was flush against yours, “I’m sure they’d understand after all,” he said, pushing the hair out of your face, “Who could blame you for wanting some pleasure in your life?” he said, his hand trailing down till he grabbed your tit, squeezing it softly, “Why would something that feels so good be so wrong?” he whispered in your ear, his hand traveling lower to your thighs, toying with the hem of his dress.
His lips moved to kiss down your jaw, across your neck till he was kissing your undiscovered sweet spot making you moan softly. His arms moved to slip around your waist, pulling you somehow closer to him as your hands rested on his shoulders. You gasped when he squeezed your ass and winced at the quick slap, he gave it before his hands moved to the hem of your dress.
The cold air rushed over your frame, making your nipples harden as Jace pulled the dress over your head in one swoop. The only thing to cover you was your necklace but right now that felt even worse. Jace’s eyes travelled your frame, soaking up every inch, “The gods have blessed me with you,” he murmured.
“You do not know the gods,” you glared but Jace just chuckled as his hands went to cup your tits, stroking his thumbs over your perked nipples making you whimper.
“Perhaps you don’t either,” he said as he led you by your hips to your bed. He sat on it, his hands resting on your hips as he pulled you into his lap.
His lips moved to your collarbones, kissing and nipping at the soft skin. Your brain told you to push him away, but a strange feeling was overcoming your body as his hands moved to your hips. You could feel a hard bulge under his trousers as he began to move your hips, pushing your core onto his clothed cock. You moaned at the friction, his bulge rubbing perfectly against your clit sending shock waves up your body.
Soon you felt your hips begin to buck and move of their own accord. You felt his smirk against your skin as his hands moved to your tits. You gasped when he pinched your nipples, rolling them between his fingers making you moan. “Oh god,” you couldn’t help the moan that slipped out when he took one into his mouth, sucking on the perked bud.
You weren’t sure what had come over you, but you felt a knot tightening in your stomach, your moans growing louder as you took the gods in vain at the top of your lungs. You felt your peak hit you like a boulder before you slumped into Jace’s chest.
He moved to kiss your cheek with a chuckle. “Not even fucked you yet and look at you,” Jace said, slipping his hand down to rub against your sensitive core making your body lurch, “So wet for me,” he praised, his hand moving to unlace his trousers. “Can’t wait to see what my cock does to you,”
Before you could protest you felt his tip pressing into your entrance. You gasped, your hands moving to grab his shoulders, “Aw,” Jace pouted, “Does it hurt?” he mocked, pushing you down further, “Too fucking bad,” he practically growled as he used your hips to push you all the way down.
You almost screamed at the feeling, as if you were being split in half but Jace groaned, throwing his head back against the wall as you felt his cock twitch inside you, “Fuck you’re so tight,” he praised, giving you a moment to adjust. Your hips betrayed you again, moving without your mind thinking making him chuckle.
“Such a desperate little thing,” Jace mocked, grabbing your jaw as you tried to move away. His thumb ran over your bottom lip before using it to pry your mouth open, resting it on your tongue, “Good girl,” he praised, his free hand moving your hips.
“Fuck,” you gasped as you felt him hit all the right spots. You gave up trying to resit as your hips began to grind onto his cock.
Jace’s hands moved to your hair, grabbing it suddenly and pulling it back so he could have full access to your neck. You were sure by the way he kissed it there would be marks tomorrow but that didn’t matter now. Your hands went to his hair, tugging it softly making him growl against your skin.
His free hand went to your ass, grabbing it tightly before suddenly leaving stinging slaps against the soft flesh. You could feel your second peak fast approaching and when Jace moved to run quick circles against your sensitive bundle of nerves you felt your cunt squeeze around him as it came crashing down again.
“Fuck,” Jace mumbled, a stream of profanity tumbling from his lips as his hands moved to your hips so he could fuck you through your orgasm, “You feel so good,” he praised, resting his head in the crook of your neck.
You felt yourself coming down from your high and his movements began to slow, “Don’t stop Jace. Please gods don’t stop,” you began to beg, and you could feel his smirk.
“Begging suits you,” he teased, grabbing your jaw so he could make you face him, “You look so good right now. So drunk on my cock. Is that it?”
“Yes,” you whined, “I need you please,”
“Aw my poor baby,” he teased, “So desperate for her king,”
“Yes,” you weren’t even thinking any longer, and a spark ignited behind his eyes, “Need you. Want you my king,” you moaned.
Jace grabbed your hips tightly, standing suddenly before turning as you back slammed against the wall. You winced until you felt his hips begin to snap up against yours. Your arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him tight against you. This new angle had him hitting newer spots that had your legs wrapping tight around him.
“So good,” Jace mumbled against your skin as you felt a third orgasm approaching, “My perfect little wife,” his words sent you tumbling over the edge.
Jace couldn’t resist anymore as your cunt squeezed around his cock and with a couple more pumps, he began to spill his seed. His thrusts became slow as he rode out his own peak, fucking his seed deep inside you. You were both panting as he pulled out, his forehead resting against yours as your feet finally hit the ground again.
“I always knew you had a dark side in you,” Jace chuckled as he pulled away.
“Tell anyone and I’ll kill you in your sleep, husband,” you threatened but the last word made him smile. Maybe this was a good trade after all.

A purple-eyed bride for your green-coloured son
Tumblr media
Part one |  Part three
There are days that Lucerys Velaryon can't look at his sister. It's not because he thinks she's ugly. Gods no. Lucerys thinks his sister is one of the most beautiful girls he has ever seen. Long, snow-white hair cascading in tight curls down her back. The vision of a true Valyrian.
He can't look at her some days because of the guilt.
His otherwise flawless oldest sister is missing an eye. And it's all because of him. She and their uncle both lost an eye the same night because of him.
Lucerys has lived with this guilt for almost six years. It eats him from the inside, festering in his heart like a black, sticky goo. It's tar-like and it makes him wanna throw up.
Next to Lucerys is his brother, Jacaerys Velaryon. He wants to hate his sister for what she has done. He wants to despise her. Because he, as the eldest son and heir to the throne, should be the one to protect their siblings ─ not her. But he can't.
He knows that his sister has given up a lot. She has given the right to the throne to him. Because she knows he will be a far better candidate than herself. She has no taste for the crown or power. Y/n Velaryon has told him so herself.
And now she has given up her freedom. The freedom to choose whom she marries. At least that is what all the Velaryon siblings have in common, their marriages are chosen for them.
Across the table, sits the Stranger himself personified. Aemond Targaryen watches with not so well hidden amusement how Lucerys squirms under his gaze. Aemond does however not enjoy the emotionless look his niece has on her face.
He always thought they were equal; two halves of the same. But in contrary to how he hides the jewel that fills the empty socket, she shows it with pride. An amethyst shines eminently in place of her eye, the colour matching the one she gave his mother half a decade ago.
It excites him. He truly believes that she did it all for him. Over the years, her eyeball kept him company, whispering how they are meant to be together. It drives him crazy how she teases him.
The King gives a heartfelt speech, after which the other members of the royal family follow. The Queen and Princess seem to reconcile, and Jacaerys makes a not-really-meant reconciliation to his uncles. Princess Helaena looks really proud of herself once she has spoken, earning a few chuckles and a nod from her grandsire.
Once Jacaerys takes his aunt to dance, princess Y/n's eyes drift from them to her uncle, who's already staring intently at her. She raises her eyebrow and lifts her cup to take a sip of the wine. It's like she's challenging him, decides Aemond.
Before he can act on his desire to claim her before their family, a still-sizzling piglet get's placed before him and the quiet laughs of his nephew set him off. His speech is damaging and the Queen buries her face in her hands.
Jacaerys punches Aemond first but gets pushed to the ground fairly easily. Aegon grabs Lucaerys and pushes his face on the table. The one-eyed princess jumps up from her chair and kicks her eldest uncle in the back of his knees so he lets go of her brother and slams his head on the table.
Jacaerys breaks free from the guards that restrained him but contains himself when his sister steps in between uncle and nephew
"You should be ashamed of yourself", she hisses, chest heaving and jaw set. She feels Jacaerys ready to pounce like a wild animal behind her but she doesn't budge. "Your tongue should be cut out for talking such blasphemy."
What nobody expected is that Aemond advances, grabbing hold of the Princess' throat. Swords are unsheathed and shouts for the Prince to let go of his niece. But his gaze is set on her only eye, mirroring his own.
"You're playing a dangerous game, uncle. If my betrothed in the North hears about you putting your hands on his princess, Cregan Starks won't hesitate to march down to here. Then your eye won't be the only thing you've lost." The last part is only for her uncle to hear.
Aemond's jaw tenses, but it is his mother that speaks his thoughts. "Betrothed? Since when?"
Princess Y/n frees herself from her uncle's hold to address the Queen. There is a certain look in the brown orbs of the Queen that betray her true feelings.
"Such a same isn't it, Queen Hightower? Now you won't have a purple-eyed bride for your green-coloured son."
The face of the Queen hardens and Prince Daemon grabs his step-daughter's arm, ordering her and her brothers to go to their quarters.
With one last sharp look at Aemond, the princess leaves to pack for their return home to Dragonstone and she swears to never return to the capital while the Greens plague the halls of the keep. At least not of her free will.

part two
Tumblr media
Aemond was anything but cooled off when he returned to his marital chambers that night. He bound into the room, his displeasure from the night clear in his body language and his labored breathing. His wife sat stoically in front of her vanity, clad in only her night dress as she combed through the length of her silky, silver curls.
Aemond stared her down in disbelief as she barely acknowledged him. How could she honestly be angry with him? It was her bastard brothers who started the disagreement, who started the rivalry to begin with, who teased him their whole childhood and took his eye that fateful night on Driftmark. And here she sat, his wife, shoulders back and proud and angry with him.
Gods, she was beautiful when she was angry. If he didn't know her so well he wouldn't be able to tell. She was so serene and regal and surprisingly calm when she was upset. He often thought of how opposite they were in that sense. He thought of how hot tempered and quick to snap he was, and how she thought everything through before it slipped from her pretty lips. He envied this about her, and yet it was what he had loved most about her as well.
Aemond couldn't help it. He broke first. "Where are the children?" He inquired, steadying himself to the best of his ability.
She hardly gave him the time of day as she answered, her eyes not leaving her own reflection. "I've settled them into bed,” she said.
The Prince furrowed his brow. "Did you not think that I would wish to bid goodnight to my sons?"
"The hour is late. They've had their fill of excitement for the day, Husband."
Husband. Not her usual 'my dearest love,' not 'my darling.' He was in trouble far more than what he had bargained for. He eyed her in disbelief. "You're truly taking their side?"
She finally turned then, vast (e/c) eyes meeting his violet one. "There is no side to be taken, Aemond,” he hated her formality when they argued, "We are a family. We're supposed to be on the same side. Did you see how pleased the poor King was to see everyone finally getting along? Our mothers finally found some common ground after all of these years and yet you ruined an otherwise pleasant night with your wounded pride."
"My wounded pride?" he spat harshly, raising his voice at her. "Did you not see the way your beloved brother laughed as they sat a roasted pig in front of me? Or have you forgotten the torment I was subject to as a child? What do you expect to me to do, (Y/N)?"
She stood then, the silk of her long night dress accentuating her rounded stomach. "You are to be the Royal Consort one day, you will be King!" she scolded him sternly, silencing him. "I expect you to be the bigger person. I expect you to act with dignity and not meet the teasing of a child with the ferocity that you did tonight!"
Aemond softened at this, turning away from her to face the burning embers of the hearth. He did not retaliate, only moving to sit in a chair placed in front of it. He gripped the arms of the seat trying to calm himself, breathing deeply.
His wife watched him carefully. "It is not fair. I know it isn't," she swallowed, her eyes glazed over as she did. "I know that it angers you that I love my family after all my brothers have done to you, after what Lucerys has taken from you and I am sorry, Aemond. I truly am."
He was silent still, eye glued to the flames before him as if they were the most important thing in the room. "I cannot keep atoning for crimes I did not commit," her voice was almost pleading as she stepped closer to him then, slowly, testing the water carefully. When he did not retaliate,  she kneeled on the floor in front of him. "I know that you would not have chosen me to wed on our own, dear husband."
Her hands reached out to take his, and he allowed it, watching down the bridge of his nose as his wife gently held his hands in her small ones and brought them both to her lips, kissing them tenderly and repeatedly. "We have been honest and good to each other in these near seven years as man and wife, though," she stated, eyes wide and pleading as she rested her chin on his knee. "Have I not been a good to you?"
"You have," Aemond's voice cracked, his eyes fluttering shut at her soft inquisition. He breathed deeply, removing one of his hands from hers and carding it through her beautiful hair. “My love.”
"I have given you my body, mind, and soul. I have given you my virtue, and my fidelity. My heart has only ever belonged to you," she whispered as her husbands tensity began to dissolve between her nimble fingers and lips. Her soft kisses continuing slowly up his arm. "I have bore you two beautiful, healthy boys. Boys that will be Kings and Warriors one day, and I carry another inside me."
The air was stolen from her as Aemond halted her pecking and surged forward, lifting her swiftly from the stone floor to straddle his lap as if she weighed nothing. She gazed down at him, moving to gently remove her husbands eye patch. He hadn't minded the action for years now, as it was a bother to wear and his pretty wife had never judged his appearance or what he had lost all those years ago. She set the patch on the end table next to them, not taking her eyes off of him as her hands slid up his shoulders and found their home at his jawline. Her thumbs moved in slow circles on his face.
"I have given you power," he whimpered at this, gripping the soft meat of her thighs. "Outside the walls of this chamber you are my equal, and one day we will rule the Seven Kingdoms side by side, however we see fit to."
"Yes," he groaned hoarsely, continuing his kneading at her thighs, sitting up to press his lips to her throat, leaving hot opened mouth kisses down her neck to the swell of her breasts as he detangled the strings of her shift, baring her supple chest to him.
"You would like that wouldn't you, My King?" Aemond growled in agreement, continuing his ravishing as she slipped her fingers to the base of his neck and weaved them into his hair, gripping it tightly. "And in this room, you will rule me as you see fit."
"If that we're true then I would bound you to our bed, little wife," he sank his teeth delicately into the flesh of her breast, tongue swirling against the skin, causing her head to snap back in pleasure and a breathy moan to fall from her lips. "You would never leave these chambers. Who would be left to rule if I'm buried inside this sweet cunt for all of our lives, hmm?"
"You have many years before we are crowned for me to ride you, my dragon. And I plan to mount you morning and night,” she grinding into him, their lips meeting finally in a messy kiss. "Surely you'll tire of bedding me by then."
"Never," he pressed his forehead to hers, their breathing hot as he moved a large slender hand to cover her swollen stomach. "I enjoy no sight more than your belly swollen with our children."
She rutted her hips against his once more, her weeping cunt begging for friction. "Please, my dearest love"
"I wonder how the realm would feel if they knew the truth of their precious Princess?" he smirked as she fucked herself on his covered length. "If they knew how she begged for me each night? How wet she gets without me even having to touch her."
"Aemond, please," she wined.
"You wish to ride your dragon, my Queen?" he began hiking up her night dress to rest on her hips.
She panted at his movements, so tender, so achingly slow and teasing. "Yes," she whimpered.
He cocked his brow at her. "What's stopping you? Claim me then."
She didn't have to be told twice. Her trembling hands moved frantically to the strings of his pants, unfastening them and pulling them down to his thighs. He hissed as she took his length into her hand, stroking it sweetly before he lifted her hips and guided her to sink down on him. Her eyes screwed shut, crying out in pleasure as she adjusted to the size of him. Neither of them moved for a moment, their breathing tense and labored.
Aemond brushed a lock of hair out of his wife's face, her forehead falling to meet his as he cradled her head with his hand. "Alright?"
"Mhm," she hummed needily, bracing herself as her hands dropped to his shoulders. Aemond's free hand moved to cover the swell of her stomach, a lazy grin forming on his lips, before finding it's way to her hips once more, helping to roll them against his. Aemond cursed, his jaw going slack as his wife unraveled above him. Once she found her footing, she picked up her pace, bobbing up and down steadily, her finger nails curling into his shoulders. His hips snapped up to meet hers, and she cried out, his name tumbling from her lips like a prayer. Something came undone in him at the sound, his hands were everywhere then, cupping her full breasts, wrapped around her throat, sinking into her thighs. He was pawing at her like she would disappear if he let go for one second, grunting like a wild animal as he rutted against her.
"So good," he captured her lips in a searing kiss, all tongue and teeth clashing. "So pretty and all mine."
She babbled something nonsensical in appraisal, her heat clenching around his cock as he worshipped her, their movements becoming sloppy as they approached their peak. "I'm so close."
"Say you love me," he demanded, fingers making their way to her pearl as he toyed with it, causing her to squeak at the touch. "Tell me again that you're mine and mine alone."
"Please," she panted, whimpering as he fucked into her relentlessly, hitting her sweet spot with each thrust. "IloveyouIloveyouIloveyou."
Aemond's fingers were torture, slow and taunting. "Say it." "I'm yours," she cried out. "Only yours. Please--"
"Let go," he permitted, following close behind as she toppled over the edge, back arching and eyes rolling back as she was overcome with pleasure. They were still, chests heaving and hot breath mingling as they came down from their shared orgasm. Her nimble fingers tangled into his hair, brushing it away from his sweat soaked neck. He fell back into the chair, pulling her close and wrapping his arms around her. "I would've chosen you," he broke the silence after a long moment. She lifted her head slightly to look him in the eye, confusion evident as if she had not registered what he said. "When you said that you weren't the wife I would have chosen for myself. If I had been presented with a choice, I would've chosen you."
Her gaze softened at the sincerity and raw emotion flickering in his eye. "Then choose me now. Choose our family," she gripped his shirt tightly, pleading with him. "Love me more than you hate them."
Aemond sighed deeply, covering her hands with his. "I do love you. More than anything."
"Then promise you will try." Neither wanted to admit what they both knew, that even if he did, it was too late. The King's health dwindled more and more by the day, and the wounds cut between the Greens and the Blacks were too old and too deep for even their love to heal. The time was coming where they would have to choose. War was looming and their last chance at peace had slipped through their fingers like flowing water. So they didn't, and chose in silence to carry on pretending while they still could.
Aemond cupped her face gently, and pulled her into a soft, sweet kiss. "I promise," he whispered, the sweetest of lies, and he met her lips again in a more fervent kiss.
And she let herself hope, she let her self believe, just a little while longer.
