one is a sort of 'what-if' magic reveal scenario where a curse is cast on arthur by accident that links him to merlin's dreams, in which he discovers bit by bit everything (or at least several things) his servant had been hiding (including a number of truly horrific execution nightmares that make him go "oh shit"). despite what it sounds like, this is actually not involved with the sandman in any way. set vaguely around season 2 or 3? i need to continue my own rewatch, im still fuzzy with the timelines.

the other is my idea of what would happen if merlin were stabbed by excalibur, the sword "able to kill the un-killable", according to my own personal headcanons surrounding his immortality. set post-canon, after camlann-- merlin "dies" instead of arthur and arthur lives to create the prophecised albion.

you hate now the thunder sounds like an evil monster growling, the way the lightning looks like an alien is about to abduct you, and the way the rain is thrown onto your windows. it leaves you in the position you're in now: under the blankets, cowering down with your hands over your ears. you quietly hum to keep the sound away, but it isnt of much use.

Yeonho, just in his room next door, notices you've gone extremely quiet since the thunder hit. he gets worried and opens his door, quietly padding over to your room.

knock knock.

"y/n, can i come in?" he asks, sweetly.

you nod, then realize he can't see you, so you give him a verbal affirmation to come in.

when he finds you as a lump under your sheets, he immediately rushes forwards and pulls everything away, revealing you in your shaking state.

"y/n? is everything okay?!" he asks, worried.

"i-i'm scared.." you stutter in a hushed tone.

the thunder growls again and you flinch.

Yeonho has a worried expression on his face as he reaches to shut your curtains. he then finds your earphones on your desk, connects them to your phone, removes your hands from your ears, replaces them with the earbuds and starts to play one of your comfort songs.

"hey," Yeonho says, after removing one of your earbuds.

"is it okay if i get on your bed with you and hold you?" he asks.

you slowly nod, feeling like you're in a dream when Yeonho cafefully climbs on your bed, shifts so he's behind you and helps you lay beside him. he wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you close; your back is against his chest. once again, you place both earbuds in your ears and block out the thunder, and Yeonho's hums as he sings along to the faint sound of your music.

you look down and see Yeonho's hands, one of them drawing circles at your hip. suddenly, your calmed heart starts racing again as you realize that Yeonho, your roommate and literal crush is holding you in your own bed right now.

his hand moves up to pat and massage your head, and he shyly stares at part of your exposed neck. he kind of wants to feel it with his fingertips; it looks so soft... but he doesn't want to cross any boundaries.

suddenly, you turn around in his arms and face him. his face is red, and you assume it's just because of your shared body heat.

"boop," you say, gently poking his nose and smiling at the way his entire face scrunches up.

you remove an earbud as Yeonho starts to speak.

"do you feel better, now?" he asks.

you smile up at him, but he looks unsure.

"why would i ever stop holding you?" you ask, patting his head.

Yeonho still looks confused, and you sigh.

Yeonho's smile returns to his face again as he says, "isn't that a given?"

you shyly trace his lips with your thumbs.

It’s a super, weird name. Awful, some may say.

It seems Jellyfish caught wind of all that chatter and buzz surrounding their name choice and decided to explain their reasoning for choosing that name.

On their Twitter, Jellyfish stated that the word “Veri” is latin for the word “Truth” and “very” is just plain ol’ very.

So combined together, what do you get?!? “Truly True” according to them.

Hmm…

They also said that “Veri” is an acronym for what the group stands for, which is:

V – Various

E – Energetic

R – Real

I – Innovation.

Yeah, okay.

Again, “very” just stands for very in this scenario (Wow, when you type out “very” so many times, it just starts looking super weird).

So in the second scenario, they’re the boy band that is very various, energetic, real, and innovative.

Still hmm…

Anyway, last but not least, when you abbreviate both words, you get VRVR, which is another way of introducing a group.

Who knows, maybe down the line, that’s what they’ll be known as.

BTS used to stand for Bangtan Boys, and now they’re strictly BTS, which is working out wonderfully for them.

Maybe VRVR will be a hit.

gyehyeon huffs, folding his arms across his chest and leaning back into your headboard. you’ve been busy reading for the past hour, already halfway done with your new book you picked up from the book shop you worked at. it was a release you had been waiting on for a bit, and when you woke up in the middle of the thunderstorm occurring outside the bedroom window you thought today would be the perfect opportunity to cuddle into your warm blankets and enjoy warm cups of hot cocoa throughout the day. that was until your next door neighbor started throwing rocks at your window with pleas to let him in because he was bored out of his mind.

you’ve been friends with gyehyeon ever since he moved in three doors down from you five years ago. he always seemed so quiet around everyone but with you it was different. he would constantly joke around with you, his cheeks red from laughter and smiling from ear to ear with joy. the sight confused people as to why he was only that way with you but reserved around everyone else. you encouraged him to make other friends besides you and your other neighbor, minchan, but he just never seemed to make those people stick like the two of you did. and he didn’t mind it because truth be told, the two of you were all he needed in life at his current state; he wouldn’t want it any other way.

it wasn’t up until three months ago when he started to become flirtatious with you, making small little comments in a teasing tone with the goofiest smile plastered across his face. despite your heart thumping with each small remark, you downplayed his actions and words to just him becoming more playful and comfortable around you. you didn’t want your silly little crush on him to allow you to overthink every little thing he said or did, so you just ignored his comments and always ended up changing the subject. but what you didn’t know is that he was finally deciding to make small moves towards you, just in a teasing manner so if you ever rejected him he could play it off as a joke instead of displaying his feelings of hurt. it was after another long night talk with minchan that he asked him for advice on how confess to you that he suggested to start making his move, but gyehyeon was new to the feeling of having a crush so he wasn’t exactly sure how to go about it.

the combination of thunder rumbling and law and order playing in the background, along with occasional gasps of shock from your neighbor, made your day feel perfect. you had your crush’s head in your lap and your hands clutching onto your book with anticipation, with your favorite weather booming outside the comfort of your house. the smell of hot cocoa filled the room as well, making a small smile appear across your lips. gyehyeon noticed this, smiling to himself at the beauty you provided him with. you failed to notice at first until you felt his eyes burning into you, making you let out a soft sigh as your cheeks burned in embarrassment.

“may i help you?” you questioned, adverting your eyes from the word filled pages and over to stare into his eyes.

his eyes widened in surprise that you actually gave him attention, clearing his throat and smiling innocently at you as his heart beat faster in his chest, hoping you couldn’t hear it. “i like you.”

you rolled your eyes, assuming he was joking around. “funny gye, now go back to gawking over olivia benson.”

“why would i when i have you in front of me?”

you placed your book on the nightstand beside you, shifting in your spot as he sat up next to you. “you can’t keep making flirtatious jokes like that, dude.”

you pulled away with a shriek as the rather loud strike of thunder brought you back to reality, causing you to jump in your spot and gyehyeon to follow suit due to your sudden movement. but as quickly as the moment came, it faded back into small fits of laughter. staring into his eyes made you realize how full of love he was, and just how true his small little comments to you were.

“does this mean we’re dating now?” gyehyeon asked, moving his hand from your face and holding it properly in his before placing a small kiss on the back of it.

“i sure hope so, otherwise we would’ve just kissed for nothing.”

IM A SUCKER FOR GOOD HEADCANONS AND THEN CANON COMES ALONG TO RUIN SHIT. pre-dark moon my general thoughts/timeline was that the boys were born vampires, and uncommonly strong ones, so they were taken to the "orphanage" to observe their powers and raise them in a contained environment away from the world. eventually they break out (not necessarily bc orphanage evil but bc smth tells me these kids did Not want to sit down and be obedient). i also had a sense that the orphanage was a distant victorian past and the boys at decelis is the present decades later, trying to move through life away from that traumatic past. once dark moon/tamed-dashed jpn dropped i adopted more of that evil orphanage mindset. and thats when i started thinking about sooha. what if sooha was born superpowered like the boys, but because she's not an actual vamp she evaded the kidnapping by the orphanage and thats why she doesn't have that story. think about it— they could have this deep connection because they all originated together somehow, but the orphanage taking the boys separated them. and thats why the low-grade vampires are searching for sooha. because the organization realized they missed one.

AND RLY NO LITERALLY YALL THINK IT WAS SOME SORT OF "ATTACK" FROM LOW-GRADE VAMPS???? U HAVE A VERY STRESSED AND VERY MISCHIEVOUS GROUP OF SEVEN BOYS WITH PYROKINESIS, SUPER STRENGTH, SUPER SPEED, ETC. HAVE U EVER HEARD OF TEENAGE ANGST AND REBELLION.

hehehe YES sit down with your popcorn because boy have i got some CONTENT for YOU. idk if youd be interested in reading the old enhaverse shit i have posted or not (forewarning if you are i actually havent gone back and read it in a while so it may be. bad-- like i remember it being decent but that was like last year so my standards could have changed LMAO) but if you ARE i could link those. and also maaaan the SHIT we put sunoo's character through omg those were some wild times

firstly though id like to adress your pre-dark moon headcanons because. that actually makes a lot of sense HFBFJFBJF and it fits with the addition of sooha too! OOH WAIT OR I JUST HAD AN IDEA. in the scenario where the boys were turned into vampires (not necessarily born as them; idk how that would work so im not gonna try and figure out the logistics just yet), then experimented on to be made into the better, more functional and long-lasting superpowered vampires, maybe the superpower part was like... an afterthought of sorts, just added on to make them even BIGGER powerhouses of destruction/idk whatever. but then whoever made them (im just gonna call them the organization for now like you) may have been like "wait, could this superpower gene... work on normal humans?". so then they either take a bunch of pregnant moms OR a bunch of newborn babies and run all the experiments and shit and well,, most of them die (because a: i like angst and b: it would explain why sooha's the only superpowered human in the story/why the organization wants her so bad) except one: sooha. but sooha's mom obviously doesn't WANT her daughter to live her life as a lab rat, so she figures out a way to get her daughter and herself out, escaping and probably pulling some wild identity-alteration shit so she and her daughter can live safely without the threat of being constantly hunted hanging over their heads.

WAITWAITWAIT OR. omg okay im sorry my brain is doing one of those things where i try to figure out the plot holes of a story or concept literally as im explaining it to someone hsjbffj give me a second-- if we're going with the timeline where the "orphanage" was like a long time ago and everything. maybe sooha's MOM was one of the babies that got experimented on, and she was the only one that didnt die, but she never showed any signs of superpowers or anything so the organization figured she was a dud... but it turns out, years and years later when she has her OWN kid (sooha), whatever weird superpowered genes the organization injected her with manifest in her daughter instead, and the organization is AFTER sooha because they somehow caught wind of this miraculous superpowered child who wasn't a vampire and went "oh shit so it DID work" and now theyre after her. idk how sooha and the boys having their whole weird ✨connection✨ would work in this situation, maybe they can just feel that she has the same weird superpowered genes as them and they feel drawn to her because of it? idk

really i dont know how that entire storyline would go—i just went off on a whole other train of thought there lmao (that was not intended, sorry). now though i wanna start telling you about my friends and i's pre-dark moon ideas because it ties into the idea of how the vampires originated and also cuz. well i want to. HDJFBFJFB (im gonna group this into sections actually via titles because i have a feeling this is gonna get insanely long again)

pre-dark moon: selene and the orphanage

okay SO: the train of thought that we had initially sort of started because of the mysterious princessy/queen-y figure that appeared in the drunk-dazed mv (who i now realize was most likely meant to be sooha, but SHHH we're in pre-dark moon headcanon territory now lets ignore that). we conceptualized her as this sort of... motherly or goddess-like "vampire queen" figure. in the story we constructed, she was the one that MADE the boys, although because we were all sluts for angst and trauma it turned... very quickly dark. she was very definitely NOT a good guy lmao.

the idea with the orphanage was that the vampire queen (who i called selene, based off of the greek or roman goddess of the moon and mother of vampires-- i think, i might have my myths mixed up there) was the one that started it all. she orchestrated the orphanage, hired all the staff, ran the entire "project" so to speak: she wanted to create more vampires like her. maybe she was lonely at first, but got driven mad by the loneliness and the vampirism combined; maybe she wanted to build an army. i don't know, we never got her motives fully straightened out. the pills that the boys all took in given-taken were pills containing her blood: that was how they were turned (in our story vampires didnt get turned via biting, they got turned by consuming the blood of another vampire; i think i read about that somewhere). it was a very slow process, so the boys (who had all been brought to the orphanage as kids and grew up there together) weren't aware of what was happening until it was too late. now, we stuck with the whole "orphanage bad and abusive, enha escape" storyline from the very start, so that happened; they ran away and set out in the world on their own, constantly on the run from the orphanage and selene.

now onto the more... character-specific parts (from here on out im gonna refer to the enha boys with a c! before their names to distinguish them from the real people because the dark moon names. uh. dont exactly work with the kind of story we created lol). unbeknownst to the rest of the boys, while they were all still in the orphanage, from the time when they were little kids up until their escape, c!sunoo felt sort of estranged and overlooked—like the others didnt care about him as much, or like he was irrelevant (this wasnt true, they cared for him a lot, but you get the idea). he started building up a habit of running away from the orphanage and into the forest surrounding it, where he would meet up with selene—who at the time he didnt know was the vampire queen. selene basically fucking groomed and manipulated him jnto believing the others didnt love him, she was the only one who would ever TRULY love him, the others would never understand, etc etc. she was a massive bitch lmao that's basically it

now this idea did come in part from my love of traumatizing characters, but it ALSO came from the entire enhaverse circle on tumblr thinking sunoo in the mvs was like. evil. but artzyy and i didnt like the idea of his character being just straight-up evil and not caring about the other boys so we were like "but what if he was manipulated" and then it just sort of spiraled from there. after the boys escape the orphanage, they come across this castle where selene lives. none of the boys know all the shit she's pulled with c!sunoo—they just think she's this benevolent motherly figure, if a slightly suspicious one. after a while of staying in the castle they figure out she's no good and escape, again, but by then c!sunoo has already been roped into betraying them by selene and he works as a sort of double agent for the rest of the story, sowing their demise at selene's behest. there are... a LOT of feelings had about this, just generally, by everyone. as you'd probably expect.

another thing to know about me and my mutuals' version of the enhypen that lore is that we were all apparently gay and longing when we were coming up with all of this so we sort of projected and. made the characters into this one giant gay poly qpr situation. i really dont know what happened HHDJFHFJNFN the fever mv came out and we started making jokes about it being gay (because WE all were; still are, that hasn't changed) and the jokes became less and less like jokes the more we posted about them, which tended to happen a lot with us for some reason. so. yeah.

im vv proud of that jungwon one i think (conceptually and process-wise at least) it may be one of my favorites ive ever made .. it was just so FUN and i made it in a complete creative fever at like 2 am or something after very suddenly drawing a connection between that jungwon shot and the fallen angel painting. like i wasnt even planning on doing anything artistic that night but then all of a sudden i Had To Make Art Out Of It.

also ill tell you a secret (that isnt really a secret because ive told multiple people and made several posts about it already): i am currently working on a far more detailed heeseung art piece ... its coming along very well so far and im very happy with it !! all the facial features and clothes are done and im just stuck on the hair now—im determined to actually FINISH it and not just abandon it like i have some pieces in the past (theres this one sunoo piece that i started and got pretty far into last year in may after carnival era... and i have not touched it since. i WANT TO. but i was new to digital art at the time and used a strategy that took, to put it plainly, Way To Much Fucking Time, and in order to complete the piece with consistent style id have to keep using that same strategy and im honestly going to avoid that for as long as possible)

yeah i did!! that building was an adventure to live in honestly. another funfact about it is that it was quite literally haunted—it was over a hundred years old when we moved in and it had the history to show it. if you believe in ghosts and such, i have plenty of stories to tell (mostly secondhand from my parents, specifically my mom, but they're stories nonetheless).

NO LITERALLY HSFGJDGDJ im just picturing a scene of, like, some decelis girls swooning over jino at lunch (i get the feeling ALL the guys have a lot of... er, fans at their school, not just heli), gossiping to each other like "omg hes so tall and handsome id give anything to go on a date w him" "and hes really sweet, too—did you hear about how he got his scars?" "omg no how?!?" "i heard a rumor that when he and his brothers' orphanage burned down, he held the rafters up even as they were burning just to make sure they got out safe... *sigh* hes so romantic". and then it cuts to a flashback of jino fucking throwing a fireball at the ruins of the orphanage and just saying "burn"

THE RUMORS WOULD BE SO FUNNY THO. one week everyone's saying their dad was a player that got with a different woman for each one of them, the next week they're saying jaan, jino, and solon are triplets and their parents were just WAY too active in the bedroom, a few weeks later someone is joking that they were probably made in a lab, another student suggests that they're all adopted (yes to the umbrella academy vibes lmao), and now that we're thinking about it WHAT is up with their HAIR? how do they dye it that often and still keep it that good quality? is it a genetic mutation or something? the rumors get especially wild once sooha comes around. the seven vamps have built up a reputation with their classmates as being very friendly but insanely difficult to get actually close to, preferring to keep everyone at arm's length—then some new girl pops up and gets assimilated into their group within a week and has every brother practically at her beck and call, seriously, what is UP with this chick!? did the seven brothers' secret playboy father get with an eighth woman none of them knew about, creating sooha? is she dating one of them?? MULTIPLE of them? (the brothers aren't actually too tight-lipped about their past excluding the vampire part, so the truth probably comes out eventually, but people still like to speculate.)

no god yeah... liminal spaces my beloveds... just. the aura of gas stations and train stations and bus stops and kitchens at night, and those cheap little roadside diners that you only ever go to on road trips. its just. SO much. the thought of existing in places that are only ever meant to be passed through temporarily is so much. and YEAH exactly what you said, about how existing in those places strips away layers to lay bare the deepest, softest parts of ourselves... it just gives me a lot of feelings :')

and noa too man... hybe really hasnt given him much of a personality yet beyond the stoic, intimidating one but hes still the youngest of them. i can imagine most of the students at decelis (even the older ones) being slightly scared of him because of how he comes off, but then in a scenario like that they realize he's not quite as stony and cold as he seems, and, oh, he really is just a kid like them (well. ignoring the vampire bit hsjfjfkjf)

WAIT YOUR PARENTS ARE CHEFS THATS SO DAMN COOL !!!! i love to cook i actually considered going to culinary school instead of actual university for a while but never followed through with it. i work in bakeries or restaurants in the summers and cook at home to satisfy the cooking itch. my hands and arms have quite a few burn scars from when i first started (5 years ago now i think) but now my fingertips are straight up fireproof bc of repetitive exposure. AND NOW IM IN MY JEELINGS AGAIN BC DO YOU THINK JINO HAS BURN MARKS FROM WHEN HE JUST . FORGOT SOMETHING WAS HOT OR IF HIS SKIN ITSELF IS IMMUNE TO HEAT??? i think it’s the latter but the idea of jino’s hands and arms being marked from accidental burns is like . kind of nice to me??

some dorms in my university have communal kitchens so that’s where i got the idea- i’ve walked in there to make instant mac and cheese at 1am and there was a girl making a Full Batch Of Cookies in that kitchen and i was like “honey WHAT.” i think the decelis kitchen could be such a Concept bc imagine the shit that could go on in there. you’re a normal student just trying to microwave something in the kitchen and you see a group of seven dudes and a girl summoning demons on the floor. great times

i wish that you make close kpop irl friends to have lore conferences someday !! the vibes are truly immaculate it’s so much FUN to actually talk it out with someone (though ofc i value our lore conversations very much). also yves. yes. am in love just a little.

YEAHHHH THEY ARE!!! its ironically actually the reason i dont know how to cook that well yet MYSELF because theyve always done it so i just. havent had to. but i want to change that and i am working towards it!! i will learn how to make more than sandwiches and scrambled eggs!! i love what i HAVE learned of cooking and i love food and i want to be able to make food for people in the future so i am definitely determined to do that. (i actually existed in kitchens more or less for the first few years of my life, cuz my parents had a catering company and we lived in an apartment above the giant commercial kitchen that they ran the whole thing out of. fun times!)

NO THE JEELINGS now im thinking about it too . because logically probably if he has heat immunity his skin ALSO has heat immunity,, but just imagine if it DIDNT. he just has no awareness of heat levels whatsoever but his skin still VERY MUCH DOES so his hands and arms are just covered in burn scars from all the times he's pulled cookie pans out of the oven with his bare hands or lifted a burning piece of wood to save a kitten or some shit (because that is absolutely something he would do), not to mention the burns from his OWN fire. god i really just love the idea of superpowered people having physical scars/evidence of their powers on their bodies somewhere, so in an au where jino's skin isn't entirely impervious to fire, maybe his hands are just permanently scarred and its a whole stream of gossip with the decelis students—what happened to his hands? how did he get all those scars? maybe he wears gloves, maybe he's not ashamed and just doesnt give a shit. i like the idea of the students concocting this whole dramatic backstory in their heads where he permanently disfigured his hands saving his brothers from a fire or something, but no in reality its just from all the times he's touched hot things and forgot they were supposed to be hot.

community kitchens as a concept just have so much comedic potential to me. community ANYTHING really especially in a college/university/school setting-- there's just so many possible scenarios involving peoples' lives clashing in unexpected ways. and OMG YES a random decelis student who got hungry at 2 in the morning after studying and just wanted some instant noodles walking in on the school's resident popular guy group and the weird new girl making a full-on demon-summoning circle on the floor with ketchup ksfgjdgdj help thats such a funny image to me--
