congrats on completing WAMH (it was SUCH a good fic), and good luck on your novel draft! Out of curiosity, I was wondering when "Talons Clipped With Care" became " When Pinioned Birds Take Flight." This doesn't matter at all I was just genuinely curious when I saw the name change, haha

Talons was sort of a placeholder title, for like 2 years, and I was never really happy with it; I spent a very long time like a week ago working out actual titles for various projects. The new title means all 3 parts have something about flying in the titles, which I thought was fun.

Absolutely essential record store in Northampton, MA. Opened in 1977, they stocked an amazing selection of imports and other hard to find records. I started shopping there in 1980 or so. I’d hear a song that floored me on one of the two local college radio stations, WMUA (UMass) and WAMH (Amherst College), wait for the DJ to back-announce the set, then race to Main St. to grab it (provided I wasn’t broke). 9 times out of 10 they had it. New Order Temptation 12″? Got it. The Go-Betweens Cattle and Cain? Got it. Replacements I Will Dare? Got it. The Raincoats Fairytale In The Supermarket? Yep.

God Bless Main St. Records, and all who sailed with her.
