I don’t think people realize how freaked out fanfic readers get when their favorite author(s) doesn’t update their ongoing schedule ON TIME.

And it’s not cause we want the chapter…it’s cause we’re so fucking worried about the Author.

Like— OMG ARE YOU OKAY? YOU’VE BEEN GIVING US THE TRAGIC UPDATES OF YOUR LIFE IN THE NOTES THE PAST 10 CHAPTERS?! WHY STOP? ARE YOU DEAD? DID YOU GET STUCK IN THE WALL LIKE YOUR CAT?? HAVE YOU EATEN?? HAS YOUR BRAIN EXPLODED??

Readers no longer care about the story when they don’t get their usual update. We panic and flag S.O.S as we track down our wayward author who has been both blessed by the universe with a creative mind and cursed all the same with the worst luck.

So any authors who are reading this please understand— when we comment “hey are you okay?” in your comments. No, we are not asking about the chapter.

We are legitimately concerned for your wellbeing. Do not force yourself to shit out a chapter just to appease other ppl when you yourself are not in the mental state to enjoy it or even write it to begin with.

So this picture from technical standpoint was a nightmare. Original plan was to use light wash of watercolors and then add some flat brush details without blending in gouache. I tried to use my nice acrylaqouache cmyk 5 tube set but I couldn't mix colors opaque enough. My regular gouache also wasn't opaque enough with a bonus of having dull colors comparatively.

So at some point I gave up and decided to change the initial idea completely and use posca markers. They at least are opaque and covered previously created mess. I'm not 100% happy with end result because I fucked up balance between following the gorgeous colors of original reference and my (not so?) limited marker color set. But yeah. At least I have excuse to do a second try?

Also here let me sing hymns to tomoe river paper that was able to take all that with only slight ghosting on the other side of the page!

I headcanon that the reason why Mairon always seems to be in charge of these things is because the others ruin perfectly good prisoners, they give them anxiety too many opportunities to argue and backtalk; they’re too inconsistent with their words/promises/threats and too quick to anger and give into their tempers, while Mairon is much more methodical and orderly, giving prisoners much less to work with and making them far more likely to break. The last time Mairon let Melkor take point on a prisoner was Hurin, so after that he was like NOPE NEVER AGAIN; he just can’t live with that level of inefficiency.

who wants a mini phone meta to help with the theory of there being some rewrites and reshoots??!!!!

So we all know Buck and Eddie have their blue and green phone cases respectively - they’ve been waving them in our faces all season, well what if I told you there was some phone case things going on that don’t make sense unless they shot these scenes later on due to rewrites etc (also apologies in advance for the awful screenshots!!!)

So we open the episode with Buck on the phone to Connor and what is this I see- Buck suddenly has a Black phone case!!!

But in Bucks next scene - later at the firehouse - the Blue phone case is magically back!

Eddie also has his green phone case in this scene

The next time we see their phones - Kameron is going in to labour and Buck is phoning 911and hey - back to Black!

and Eddie suddenly has a black phone case when he calls Marisol too!

Its pretty common practice to get rid of props etc that won’t be used again in the next season (they’ll have a wardrobe clear out too and get rid of any costumes they don’t want to keep) when they are done with filming so to suddenly have black phone cases for both of them! I have to be honest - If Bucks phone case in that opening scene hadn’t been black, I would’ve assumed that the cases being changed to black was a deliberate change - one meant to imply the failure of these relationships, however that earlier scene betrays the real reason for the change - that these scenes were filmed later on!! I think they possibly thought black ones would be innocuous and we wouldn’t notice (and most of the GA wont) but I’m too eagle eyed for that!

One differences between the Invincible show and the comics that strike me the most is how mundane the day that Omni-man revealed the truth started for comics!Mark and Debbie. This two were completely blindsided

Mark wasn´t talking with Eve about being dumped by Amber or fighting the Hail Mary with his dad, he was at the comic book shop getting all his comics signed when he saw his dad fighting Immortal on a TV and went to help, only to arrive and see his dad murdering him

Debbie wasn´t aware what her husband did and being at the GDA with Cecil trying to see what to do with her husband, she was doing laundry when she caught on the news

Look at them they have NO IDEA how bad the day is going to turn out in a couple of minutes
