while i’ve stepped back from the fandom quite a bit, i am still extremely grateful for everything it’s brought me, especially the people whom i now call best friends - many that i talk to every single day & many that i’m actually meeting irl this year (!!!!!!!!!) - you guys are so special to me & make my days so much brighter.
i’m grateful for everyone i’ve met along this journey, it’s surely been an adventure ♡
- this movie came exactly when i needed it & reignitied feelings i never thought i’d ever experience again.
- it’s given me a sense of community & belonging. there are memories i’ve made bc of this movie & this fandom that i won’t ever forget.
- it gave me a deep love & respect for a legend i probably wouldn’t have ever found without this movie. my love for elvis is something i’ll carry forever & one of the things i am MOST grateful for.
- finally, it reignited the passion for writing that had long been dead - i never thought i’d ever write stories again & because of this movie & the supportive fanfic community here i’ve been able to create stories that very special to me.
Sometimes I feel bad for not contributing much to serious lore but I do feel like the people have a right to know what each character’s kink is (happy to discuss lore in DMs or discord but I’d rather keep it off dash)
calling my lover "mine" but not in the way that my toothbrush or notebook are mine, mine in the way my neighborhood is mine, and also everybody else's, "mine" like mine to tend to, mine to care for, mine to love. "mine" not like possession but devotion.
this poor woman ended up in hospital because she ate cayenne + cinnamon coated orange (unpeeled) because there’s a health and wellness influencer with millions of views who recommends it for digestion - she burned her oesophagus
i always saw a few really good other additions of similar things on the comments
please be so, so careful taking advice from these people online, as many of them are not formally trained or educated, brand ambassadors, deep in pseudoscientific rabbit holes and unfortunately, there are many out there who struggle with disordered eating habits
(not mentioned here but another one worth noting: i have personally known people who have burned their oesophagus with viral apple cider vinegar shots and drinks. don’t do that. a burned oesophagus is not fun)
