I’ll probably delete this later, because I genuinely not trying to start anything. I just want to drop a gentle reminder that authors put a lot of time and effort into their works — from plot, to dialogue, to themes, it takes a lot of brain power and planning and dedication to create and put your work out into the ethos.
I have more to say on this but tbh it’s all based on a series of anons and comments I’ve received over the last few weeks, and I’m not going to subject you all to my whining. But please remember to be patient — whether it’s for waiting for the next installment or getting confirmation whether certain things will/wont happen — the wait is half the experience. I know instant gratification is the norm, but it’s really disheartening to see people write off your hard work before it’s even out because they’re convinced something is going to happen one way or another.
In other words, please recognize the time and effort it takes creators to put out content.

Arranged marriage AU with Barbarian Bakugou who is so daunting to be around at first. He’s all gruff curses and broad shoulders and scarred cheeks and neck and jaw. He scowls constantly, stares at you while your parents auction you off like some show pig, but doesn’t say much to you besides a grunt of his name. You’re terrified, thinking that he’ll be cruel to you, that you’re being set up for a life full of unhappiness and terror and regret.
But he’s the exact opposite. Bakugou is gentle in ways a man of his size typically wouldn’t be, but he shrinks himself for you. Not in a way that diminishes his status as the newly appointed king, but to respect you, show you that you’re beside him instead of behind him.
He picks you berries on his hunts because he knows the smell of a fresh kill brings nausea to your stomach. You find him along with the other maidens and helpers around his village, sitting beside them, big fingers holding tiny little flowers that he weaves into a crown for you. When he sets it on your head, he purses his lips, mutters something under his breath in his language that you’re still not too familiar with, but sure it means something along the lines of pretty and soft.
And when he finds you bathing in the river only few have access to, he’s sweet the whole time. Doesn’t make a spectacle of you being naked, and is relieved when you don’t instantly cower when he wades his way over to you. You try not to stare at the clawed scars that decorate his pec and jaw when he stands above you, and it helps when he suddenly dumps water all over your head. He shushes you when you splutter, continues on with cupping his hands and letting the water run off of your hair and down your shoulders, scrubbing at your skin until your flesh squeaks. He doesn’t expect you to do the same for him, but he hums in satisfaction when you push him down a little lower so you can wash the crown of his head.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people shit on straight couples in shipping and in general as a "joke" lately, particularly in the Dungeon Meshi fandom. Friendly reminder that, besides the evil straights, when you mock or put down straight couples for being straight/"not queer enough", you also make bi and pan people, and trans and ace people who experience hetero attraction feel unwelcome and lesser. Negativity hurts, love is love, happy valentine’s!

See i love that SVSSS and 2ha gets compared so much, cuz they got the similar master-disciple dynamic w/ completely opposite brands of Supportive Shizun. Becuz when their students are at the brink of death, CWN goes, “I’ll die with you,” and SQQ (the absolute fucking goated millenial that he is) goes, “LFG” and calls it a day. And i think that’s just beautiful.

- I am very tired but here’s my train of thought
- when Cartman calls Kyle things like “dirty girl” or talks about his “vagina” I completely understand that yeah, he’s a dumb stupid kid picking on his friend. But hear me out…
- it is not uncommon for young queer folks to carry internalized homophobia with them, and feel shame or confusion surrounding any attraction to someone of the same sex (let’s say, whether it’s romantic or not. It’s confusing, especially for kids who don’t really understand it all yet, but let’s not pretend that kids don’t have feelings)
- when Cartman makes an effort to “feminize” Kyle, I understand it is in part for humiliation purposes or to make him feel lesser (because yeah, he’s a misogynist). But I also would 100% not be surprised at all if we were to find out he has… confusing feelings towards Kyle, and doesn’t know how to deal with that, and so his gut response is “call him a chick”
- and it’s okay if you don’t agree because we’re all just here for the satire and the joy of the show/community, but also feel free to let me know your thoughts if you want
- anyways thank you for reading

A word of advice from a 10+ year X-Phile: the “Chris Carter is a sexist prude who hates romance and ruined his own creation” train, which I was on for many years, is not only a boring, frustrating train, but one that never takes you to a place that enhances your understanding or enjoyment of the show and its characters.

This past month has been so much fun. First we got the trailer which seems like yesterday to me, but then they just kept feeding us like everyday with clips, interviews, the instagrams, posters and stills. It’s crazy how much promo we got already when you compare it to others and it just keeps making us more and more excited.
I remember last year when they first announced the cast and posted pictures and videos of them behind the scenes and in less than 24 hours it will finally be here!!!!
