#who I genuinely click with and we get along well like that. and we definitely clicked as friends yknow??
Text
the thing about me is that having a crush is fun for the first little while and then I just slowly become more and more overcome with insecurity about it
#like yeah he's friendly and nice to me but I know there's no chance. NONE. that it means anything at all.#no way. like there's no way he'd ever see me that way. We Just Work Together#and it sucks because I genuinely do enjoy just being friends with him! like there aren't many people I've met#who I genuinely click with and we get along well like that. and we definitely clicked as friends yknow??#and I'm super glad for that. I just feel so stupid for being in love with him when I'm too loud and too awkward and i fidget too much#and I'm just. not an attractive person on ANY level#so like even having a crush is so unrealistic and I hate that. he's the only guy I've ever genuinely wanted to be with#(beyond a brief infatuation that I knew wouldn't work out i was just kinda caught up in the theater stuff yknow)#like.... UGGGHHHH this is bringing up SO many insecurities bc I genuinely want more than a friendship#and gurt called me out the other day by asking how important it is to me that this particular guy likes me back#and I had to play it down bc it's SO important to me like. WHAT am I supposed to do with this??? he's the only guy#I've ever been able to envision a life with and I KNOW daydreaming like that is probably bad and dumb and I just feel#SO stupid for how I'm feeling about this whole thing and yet. I go to church and work with him and it's just really easy and nice#and we work well together and get along and it's just GOOD#and I want that forever#and idk what God is trying to do here but it's making me feel SO STUPID all the time!!!!!! girl help!!!!!!#Lu rambles

This is sort of a collab between me and @okchijt as we were discussing this on Discord while I was writing this. I'm in a watch party with them to watch Helluva Boss so... Here's some self indulgence about Blitzø :) Pacing is a bit everywhere due to our conversation process. Here's the pure brainrot!
Please Read Trigger Warnings For Mature Themes, The moment you click Read More you have consented to seeing this content.
Yandere! Blitzø Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Clingy behavior, Manipulation, Gaslighting/Blackmail, Trauma, Overprotective/Possessive behavior, Fear of attachment/vulnerability, Enabling behavior, Jealousy, Delusional behavior, Mentions of Death, Paranoia, Poor mental health, Swearing, Mature content, Secret picture taking, Violence/Murder, Forced date, Blood, Threats, Guilt-tripping, Mentions of intimacy/Sexual content but nothing too graphic, Intoxication, Forced/Dubious relationship.

Blitz is an obsessive stalker yandere who is fiercely protective/controlling of his obsession.
The moment you leave his sight, Blitz has a tendency to panic.
He needs to know where you are and only trusts a select few people with you.
Said people are Loona, Millie, and Moxxie.
This is most likely an AU after Stolas and Blitz "break up".
In that case, Blitz may not trust Stolas around you.
Speaking of Stolas, said Owl Prince may be jealous and condescending towards you due to Blitz trying to be with you.
I'm going to be honest, Blitz would be a mess as a yandere.
His whole life he's wanted that domestic sort of life with his obsession.
He craves connection, even if he originally tries to push you away.
But if you manage to stay despite what he says... then you have a clingy Imp on your hands.
He's known you for awhile, be that as one of his employees or a close friend who sticks around despite what he says.
The obsession probably starts in this concept with you comforting him about Stolas.
He's scared to let you in at first, not wanting to look vulnerable.
However, push hard enough and be there for him?
Well now he can't let you go.
Like... LITERALLY.
Blitz is surprisingly affectionate towards you once he's attached, both verbally and physically.
Blitz would want his obsession to get along with Loona, his adopted daughter.
Speaking of which, Loona may be a subtle manipulator or step in if you decide to neglect to turn on Blitz.
Especially if it benefits her.
Moxxie would be concerned for the relationship between you two.
He may try to speak up about it, but the others would shut him down.
Which would cause him to just... stay quiet despite your feelings.
Although, Millie would enable everything, thinking the bond you have is cute.
When Blitz turns obsessive, Moxxie may be your only ally.
Moxxie tries to ease your worries, he genuinely wants to find a way to help both you and Blitz.
However... Blitz would be so UPSET if he saw you so close to Moxxie.
He has a fear of losing you, while he knows Moxxie won't steal you from him... he hates you being close with others.
As a result, Blitz may isolate you socially... or insert himself into everything you do with others.
For example, if you were clubbing... he's coming to.
Anywhere you go, he'll be there... be it out of sight or right by your side.
He's so obsessive with the idea of a "healthy" relationship, he completely forgets the fact he is actively messing up the only somewhat normal relationship he has again... since you've been with him through nearly everything already, he's blind to his actions.
What doesn't help is no one but Moxxie points out the issues.
Definitely bans any sort of mention of Stolas in I.M.P.
He doesn't want you or anyone bringing up his past relationships as he wants to move on with his new beloved.
He genuinely thinks you're his perfect match and refuses to hear anyone else out on it.
Blitz is normally really clingy and hard to get rid of, so he usually doesn't need to resort to kidnapping.
However, if he did, he'd lock you in his apartment with max security.
Going back to Loona, she'd pity you a bit but not actually help you.
In fact, she's literally the guard dog for Blitz.
You won't be able to leave as Loona can hear every movement you make.
If you're caught, she'll tell Blitz, or convince you to go back to bed beside Blitz on the couch.
It would be hard to even leave the couch as Blitz practically digs his claws into you and clings to you as he sleeps.
If you worked with him, you'd slowly be unable to go on missions since the job is so dangerous.
In fact, Blitz may keep you with Loona, it's unknown who's babysitting who though.
He may not care much about his own safety, but he cares a lot about you.
He'd probably break if you died on him.
Speaking of which, Blitz has already lost a ton of people in his life anyways.
If you, the only person who genuinely gave a shit, died on him?
You can bet he just... never recovers.
Not even the others can fix him.
Which is why he is so insistent on hiding you away.
Blitz would hate it if you neglected him affection, clinging to you like you're his only lifeline.
If you eventually caved and gave him affection, even out of pity, he'd break down in your arms.
That way he thinks you love him back... and he just wants to be loved.
Blitz would stalk you constantly, taking pictures and recordings along with following you wherever you go.
Human, Hellborn, Sinner, whatever... he'd follow you everywhere no matter where you went.
Be that another layer of Hell, or the human world, he just needs to be near you.
Your status and species of demon/human would change the dynamic between you and Blitz in some ways too.
He may even baby you, he isn't trying to be condescending, but he just...finds babying you cute.
Blitz is extremely manipulative, he may even be the type of yandere to gaslight or blackmail you into staying with him.
He'd guilt you into staying with him by saying "you're the only one that bothered to help him".
If he was drunk, he'd start rambling about how you helped him... essentially starting to trauma dump on you.
If you tried to point out the issues in your relationship with him, he'd act like there's nothing wrong.
If you tried to leave him and guilting doesn't work, he's find dirt on you and blackmail you into staying beside him.
Blitz would force you onto little dates (Like horse riding).
He's thinking you two are having fun, in reality you probably aren't.
Honestly, would it even be a Blitz concept if I didn't mention violence or murder in some way?
If you got hurt on a mission, Blitz would lose it.
No one would need to help him, he'd single handedly slaughter everyone around him.
By the time the bloodbath is over, he's covered in the stuff and immediately pulling you close.
He'd coo over you, telling you there's no need to worry... he took care of it.
That would most likely be when he'd pull you off missions, too.
If he ever lost you somewhere, he's threatening everyone for answers on your whereabouts.
You're so isolated with him there's barely any issue when it comes to "rivals".
Although, if he somehow sees you secretly speaking with someone other than him... he'd threaten them and if that doesn't work, he may attack them like some sort of feral cat.
Blitz would not blame his darling for anything, he's that delusional.
He thinks you could do no wrong and just blames those around you.
Obviously others are the problem, not him.
That includes Moxxie, as I can see him thinking Moxxie is trying to turn you against Blitz.
Ever seen scenes with Blitz being affectionate with Loona or the others?
Yeah, he's like that with you, but more intense.
He's practically all over you when it comes to affection.
Blitz sees everyone as a threat to his relationship with you.
Maybe not Millie or Loona, but that may include Moxxie.
It definitely includes Stolas due to his paranoia, he fears the prince will take you from him.
Striker would also count due to his motives.
I don't usually mention this in my concepts, but Blitz is sexually active.
He wouldn't force you into anything, but he's certainly needy when it comes to that.
Blitz wouldn't blame you too much if you called him Blitzo.
He'd calmly correct you, but treat it as a mistake and warn you not to do it again.
Blitz wants to know everything about his darling, both inside and out.
He may not say much about himself, but he'd nearly interrogate you about everything you like and dislike.
He wants to give the best gifts and foods for you since he adores you.
If someone ever hurt you in your past, or even the present, he'd just get revenge for you.
He'll make their fate slow.
Anything from a childhood bully or abuser, yeah they're gone.
Overall, Blitz comes off as a rather feral, intense, and clingy yandere.
You're stuck with him, like it or not, all so he can chase the companionship he never truly had in a long time.

My Review of Miraculous Awakening: The Movie:
Spoiler alert: yeah I'm more disappointed than pleased. Zag really should consider making something original with his own deviations of the original show instead of contaminating what was already good on its own.
More under the cut, because spoilers:
The Things I did like:
The animation and visuals were stunning. The transformation sequences, Marinette's dreams being visualised, Ladynoir's duet were all very beautiful to look at. I liked how the powers and power-ups glowed, even the background and setting was tastefully done. This movie is very cinematic to look at and watch. The character models were definitely better looking than the prototypes they showed us in 2021.
(Sadly it seems like all the 100M budget went into this alone)
The Ladynoir was so cute y'all. I'm sorry, I know there are several people who would disagree but I liked their dynamic, their bickering and all was funny, and their duet and dance took my breath away. Was it as earth-shattering and groundbreaking as the show's Ladynoir dynamic? Absolutely not. It definitely felt like I was watching two different characters who had to learn to not dislike each other (compared to how they got along so well and clicked since the day they met in Origins), and I did like that they made Marinette acknowledge her feelings for Chat as well as Adrien, but if I compartmentalise it from the show, I think it's fine enough. I'm not really conflicted about it if I look at it that way.
The things I'm conflicted about:
Marinette's arc was....generic. It reminded me of several coming-of-age arcs where the protagonist had to learn to face their fears and believe in themselves, yada yada yada. But it felt like the soul of the Marinette we all know was gone from movie!Marinette. What made Marinette Ladybug in the first place was that quiet but powerful moment in Origins where she transformed to save Chat Noir and Alya even though she was terrified. Marinette was shy and reserved in the beginning of Origins, but it seemed like that was all Zag ever comprehended. What makes Marinette a hero is that she didn't "just face her fears", it's that her love for the world is bigger than that fear. She's scared of disappointing and failing the world than failing herself. That little nuance was deeply missed in the movie. Oh and her mega-intelligent genius brain too. What happened to the girl who can build a box that bites that hand that tries to steal from her? Where are her zany, over complicated plans?
However the reason why I didn't put her completely in the dislike tier is because this girl is genuinely the only one in the movie carrying the combat on her back. She's the one saving people, she's the one actually using her powers, she's the one at least acting like a hero.
Marinette's singing voice was not suitable at all. Lou is technically a very good singer but she's unable to bring the life Christina Vee does to her voice. Idk why they needed a singing voice actor for Marinette, Christina Vee has a beautiful voice already. Three guesses as to why she wasn't used. (/s)
The musical numbers were, like I said earlier, nice and lovely to look at. But after them making Marinette sing for the third time about believing in herself and having no way out of "facing her destiny" it starts to get grating. In all that time, they could have used it to flesh out Adrien's character much more, or even work on the rules for the miraculous. I did like Hawkmoth's number, Chat's song about falling for Ladybug and Ladynoir's duet, but that's it.
The thing Germy Zag and his money hungry company fails to understand is that Miraculous Ladybug, or any version of it will fail as a musical is because the show is too plot and action-driven. There is always something that has to be shown visually or explained verbally, and unless they're willing to show that in song, instead of filling it up with pretty sequences, ML as a musical is never going to work.
Things I dislike:
The "Chosen One" trope is 100% the worst part of this movie. (The use of Careless Whisper is a close second)
The miraculouses in the show were jewels that were meant to be given to people who proved they good at heart, and had potential to be heroic. The earrings and the ring flying away to magically bond with their owners was just plain lazy writing. What makes Ladybug (well, to a certain extent, she is the Guardian now) and Chat heroes is that they can choose to give up their powers at any point, they can choose to give up, but they get up and fight anyway because they want to become good people, not because they were destined to.
Why was the butterfly miraculous described as "evil"? It was common sense to show it as a jewel that can be misused by bad people, not something that was essentially made to be misused. Why were the Ladybug and the Cat shown as rivals, and not two halves of a whole that complement each other?
And most importantly, WHERE THE FUCK IS THE LUCKY CHARM???
And on that note, what, may I ask, did Adrien to earn the ring? How did he meet Plagg? How was he convinced to put on the suit? Movie!Adrien is a complete disappointment, and he didn't even have any nice redeeming moments like Marinette did for me to tolerate his portrayal. One of the important (if not THE most important aspects) of Adrien is his kindness. What kind, selfless things do we see Adrien do? What brave things do we see him do, other than taking shots at the villains?
Chat Noir in the show was much more reckless and direct than Ladybug but we also always see him saving civilians, putting Ladybug first, putting the fight first even when he is not doing good emotionally (which is always). It just felt like a fan's surface-level understanding of who Chat Noir is: a few snarky lines put together and a huge ego.
And don't even get me started on how shallow the Love Square was portrayed. Or in other words, the two sides of it that Zag thinks is the most marketable. I really really hate how rushed Adrienette was, compared to Ladynoir. This is insane, because I never thought I'd have any opinion like that about any canon portrayal of the Love Square, but it's true. Why did Marinette fall for Adrien? Because he awkwardly helped her up? Why did Adrien find Marinette's quirks weird when he's never ever done that in the show? Like where's the depth that Origins put into this ship?? And every single episode after??
I do think this could've been fixable though, if they didn't reduce Adrienette to a montage (like him telling her about his mom) and added at least 1 Marichat and Ladrien interaction each. That's what the other two sides are meant for!! For both of them to see a different side of their partner when their partner is seeing them differently!
In other words, this movie is showcasing the "true selves" syndrome several parts of the fandom were accusing the show of. Zag simply did not understand the ins and outs of what makes the Love Square so compelling and I really think if this was fixed, the movie wouldn't be as disappointing as it is.
Gabriel's arc was pathetic. I know, on one end, it's like, yay, Adrien's gets a grieving, neglectful but well-meaning parent!! He gets to avoid the abuse he goes through in the show!! But I think it also takes away the angst that comes from Adrien essentially being a hero fighting against his father's abuse daily, which is also a core component of the show (who knows how season 6 will deal with that) and it also was a huge asset to Adrien's character - how he turned out good, kind and heroic despite all that.
And Gabriel by himself just isn't as compelling if he wasn't a ruthless villain, in my subjective opinion. Maybe the moment of forgiveness between son and father would have been more touching if we got a few scenes between Gabriel and Adrien. (Can you believe they only interact TWICE in a 90 minute movie??) Maybe Gabriel shutting Adrien out but out of genuine overprotectiveness, maybe Adrien trying to bond with his father but Gabriel misunderstanding it and killing the entire vibe. Just something to show us that Gabriel really does love his son, if that is what the movie wants us to believe.
The ending being a sequel hook was so stupid lmfao. Gabriel wants to stop being a villain for his son's sake but will entrust the peacock miraculous and his refrigerated wife to his assistant? Instead of idk, properly cremating the poor woman? He doesn't want to be a villain but he won't let go of his obsession with his wife?
It makes sense psychologically, I just hate it because I know that in 2 years Germy is gonna waste another 100 million dollars to make another pointless sequel.
Overall I'd give it a 3/10. It's a shame because all of this stunning animation could have been used in the actual show, or the bickering dynamic they wanted for Ladynoir could have been done with different original characters.

Just dumping my Ina Paha thoughts here. 🙃
Tumblr media
First of all I did NOT know it was the 100th episode going into this, so i was very confused watching the montage at the end lol
I also had to click out and make sure I didn't click the wrong episode when the Pilot started playing at the beginning. When I heard Danny's voice on the phone instead of Hesse's I swear I got whiplash
It's filmed so well (bar where they reshot the pilot where Steve gets Danny on the phone instead of a dead dad, in which they literally forgot to put the same filter over the scene to make the stitching coherent) and I absolutely love the camera work they did with the white-room and the video projections. It felt very much a level above normal network television cinematography, especially the parts where Steve's going in and out of the hallucinations.
Steve finally FINALLY killing Wo-Fat was so cathartic, it should have happened ages ago but I'm willing to look past all the dumb ways he survived just to allow this incredible ending to his story.
Ina Paha gave me Kono doing... this. I owe Grace Park my whole life. Pls costuming department put her in hot pink again 💗
Tumblr media
yes, it was a Steve episode. but Danny REALLY shone, first as the only resident Actual Detective figuring out what happened to Steve by the tire-tracks, rampaging through the compound steadily and efficiently and knocking people off without a pause, and then in Steve's mind shooting Hesse's kneecaps off?!?!?! That was CRAZY and probably not suppose to be as hot as it was and definitely made me want an ex-mobster AU immediately. Basically I have a competency kink and really like badass!danny shit 😊
Seeing Chin's long hair again made me swoon
My jaw dropped when I saw Jenna! I think it's really interesting that Steve still thinks of her so much, and I was surprised that she showed up in both the actual dreams and the montage. I definitely underestimated how much she impacted Steve's life, it seems, and I hate that we'll never hear him address that and we'll only know about it inadvertently like this.
(hand over the heart for how lori got like. one team shot. poor girlie.)
⭐I took the montage at the end as being flashbacks and memories that Steve was having as he left the compound. Looking at it through that lens certainly makes one unwell.
Obligatory squeal for Adam appearing just to save the day :))) look below to see the love of my life! :)))))) ⬇⬇⬇
Tumblr media
Of course, the obligatory mcdanno bullet(s). It writes itself! The way Danny said Steve's name so small and broken when he found him. The way they look at each other on the ground, the pain their faces. I need an official apology statement from Scott and Alex for it. Can we talk about what flashes by during the montage at the end? (IMO it being Steve's memories.) So much Danny.
The first thing is Danny and Steve's first meeting. Jfc. The showrunners milk it SO MUCH and who's complaining
The big, rocking hug. The hands clasping underground. Gracie of course. And then Danny collapsing from the bioweapon, which to be honest I was NOT expecting to see at all--it felt like a genuinely strange choice to include in there and it really ONLY makes sense if you go along with all that being what Steve's remembering. Even then, I was surprised to see it, so basically this is Hawaii Five-Oh making mcdanno gayer than even I was wanting them to be. Steve still thinks about that? From so long ago? Even with so many other close calls in between then and now? Good fucking lord ok then loverboy that's WILD. Canon accepted ig this show is just pure whump.
Danny goes through all of this just days after losing his brother and killing Reyes. JFC can we please address that. I need a 30k introspection fic to let me into this man's mind rn.
The Wo Fat v.s. Steve fight at the end was INCREDIBLE. I would love to give the choreographer's hand a shake, it's some of the best work I've seen on television in a long time. It was impressive for a procedural like this. It was long and physical and you truly didn't know what the outcome was going to be; it everything that their built-up relationship deserved for a conclusion. It also happening with a Steve coming off of hours of torture and drugging was crazy (guess we finally know who would win a PVP if they were both at full strength!). That being said I was really impressed with Wo Fat's capabilities and physical prowess, I was not expecting it to be so even and close to the line. I actually jumped when Steve LIFTED him up into the lighting fixture. We do not talk about Steve's (Alex's???) raw upper-body strength enough.
Anyway. Electricity in the water play. The physicality hell that this gif below is ⬇. Fire extinguishers and loaded needles. Crazy martial arts. Chair and buckets (holy shit did y'all see the force with which Wo Fat SHOT that bucket?????) flying. All's fair. I loved it.
Tumblr media
The shot going right through the forehead, clean. I don't know how to put into words why that's so monumental to me but it is.
The mystery bad lady was SO intriguing, I wish we got more from her... How does she know Wo Fat? Why was she entrusted with all that information on him and Steve and especially Doris? Absolutely where did she come from, what was her name? Why did I have a huge huge hot crush on her? All important questions. (Goes to show that h50 CAN give us some more genuine badass, not just there to date someone women characters, just explicitly choose not to. I'm holding out for Ellie to remain platonic so hard right now.)
Almost forgot Danny in that black Hawaiian shirt. Will be whimpering over that image forever. The whole episode I was trying to focus on the underlining betrayal mystery they were laying out but every time my brain started working too hard Scott with his stupid waist and those flower patterns just started flashing into my head
Again, are you seeing this:
Tumblr media
I'm unwell and so so happy.
H50 you're a gem when you want to be.

Oh my goodness, I’ve been drawn in - I’m posting Bi Buck analysis!
I’ve seen a few posts going “Buck was into Tommy” and I agree completely. He is but I think it’s easy to have blinders on about it. And this, I shall elaborate.
When Buck is touring the helicopter station and then asks Tommy for a beer, he is definitely doing so as more than a friend. He go SO FLUSTERED when Eddie showed up just as he was being pretty brave and vulnerable (by Buck standards), like he’d been caught. And sure, he was sad AF when they got in the helicopter to go to Vegas, but that was about him failing to ask out Tommy AND his bezzie mate going off without him. He can’t even commiserate with his friend about bombing with Tommy because they’re now close friends.
After that we get jealous Buck on 2 fronts - he’s jealous Eddie is hanging out with the guy he likes, and he’s jealous the guy he likes is hanging out with his best friend and might like Eddie more than him. If you’re only looking for Buddie dynamics (which, tbh, I was), all the rest gets a bit lost. But his negative feelings towards Tommy after this are a cover, just like he did with Eddie at first.
Which brings me to my last point - yup, also 100% on the Buck will at some point soon realise his feelings for Eddie because it’s more than best buds stuff. BUT I hope Buck gets to have a really fun time with Tommy, because he seems like a great guy who clicks well as a friend to Eddie and as a love interest to Buck.
It might be a doomed love interest, but I think it’s got potential to be a reasonably healthy one. And I’m going to bring up the fact that Buck seemed to be the one to initiate this too. He’s not just gone along with something, Tommy was surprised Buck was trying to get his attention. Buck was honest about that and flirty, and was the one that closed most of the distance between them in his apartment. Which, if being drawn closer into someone’s space then saying “I want you to notice me” isn’t being genuinely into someone, maybe I’ve been out of the dating scene far too long

Hello! Thanks for reading me
What would Thomas do if we found him cheating on us?
I need to hear my heart break 😅
No but like, my dyslexic ass seriously had to reread this like 50 times cause I genuinely thought you wanted a scenario where WE cheated on poor Tommy 😭😭😭
But yeah I can definitely do the reverse where Tommy finds love in someone else other than us. Thank you for the ask!!!
--------------------------------------
💔Cheating!Thomas x GN!Reader💔
Tumblr media
It's been hours since you last seen Thomas. He's never taken so long with a victim before
You wanted to go down to the basement and check on him but Luda Mae said to let him work or else Hoyt would throw a fit about you distracting Thomas
Fair enough. You went back to your chores, occasionally looking to the basement door hoping your boyfriend would come back up so you can once again be wrapped up in his huge, strong arms
When you finished your chores, the sun was starting to set. You had a terrible gut feeling as Thomas has never been down there this long before
So you decided to sneak away and go down to the basement
When you reached the bottom of the stairs, you immediately wished you had stayed upstairs
The sound of soft moaning met your ears along with creaking of a bed
You went over to where Thomas keeps a spare bed down there and found him balls deep in the victim he was supposed to slaughter earlier in the day
You quickly felt tears rush down your face
"T-Thomas....?"
The woman gasped and Thomas immediately stopped, snapping his head to turn to you. His eyes wide as saucers
Before either of them could do anything, you turned and ran back upstairs
Luda Mae was sweeping in the hall when you ran past her, sobbing uncontrollably
"(Y/N)? What's wrong dear?"
You stopped to look at her for a moment before continuing on your way upstairs to the bedroom you shared with Thomas
You slammed the door and instantly lowered yourself onto the floor so you could cry into your arms
A million thoughts were running through your head
Why would Thomas cheat on you? Were you not good enough for him anymore? Did he even love you to begin with?
You snapped out of your thoughts when someone knocked on the door. You got your sobbing under control so you could get some words out
"W-Who's there?"
No answer.
"Go away....I don't want to talk to you or even see you right now..."
You knew it was Thomas before you had even asked who it was. Luda Mae would have immediately announced herself before knocking and you would have been able to hear Hoyt cursing before he even arrived at the door
You continued to salk in the room until Luda Mae came up
"Dear could you please come down? We know what happened and we want to make things right."
You sniffled and got up. You opened the door
"Oh you poor thing..."
You silently moved past Luda Mae and went downstairs to the living room, where you saw the victim from earlier on the couch with Hoyt standing behind the furniture. Thomas was sitting in a chair across the room from Hoyt and the victim
"Well now that the star of the fucking show is here, we can get started now huh Tommy? Come take a seat."
Hoyt leaned down and patted the spot next to the victim
You went over and sat as far as you could from them as Luda Mae came down
"There's no fucking way in hell that I'll allow Thomas to have two whores in this house distracting him from his work. He's going to choose one of you to keep, and the other to eat."
Hoyt laughed at the end. You looked over to Thomas and saw he had his chainsaw by his side. Panic started to fill you
You tried silently pleading with him but he wouldn't look at you. He was too busy staring at the floor. You wondered what was going through his head right now
"Well Tommy? You going to just sit there or am I going to have to choose for you?"
You heard a gun click from behind you. The victim next to you tensed up
Slowly Thomas stood up and picked up his chainsaw
The giant man walked over to the two of you on the couch
You looked up at him and saw he was staring right at you. Regret? Pity? Sorrow? It was hard to pinpoint what exactly was going on behind his mask
When you met Thomas over 3 years ago, you never thought he would ever hurt you. Not by cheating or by slaughter. You had never loved anyone like how you loved Thomas. You loved how he kept you warm during the cool Texas nights when his big strong arms. You loved how he would just rub your cheek and occasionally run his hand through your hair as you two relaxed after a long day of chores. You wonder why he would ever cheat on you. Was it due to your inability to have children? Was it because he just found the victim more attractive? Guess you'll never know
Thomas went to start up his saw. You sighed and closed your eyes as the saw roared to life. You prayed Thomas could hear you over it
"I love you..."

Ambiguous ending so anyone can choose how this ends :)

I would literally do anything for you- so yes. I didn't know how spicy you wanted this so I went with my gut. This is definitely smut LMAO.
Tumblr media
"You sure we're good here for the night?" Ellie asks behind me, her hand gripping onto mine tighter as I turn to Joel who gives me a hesitant look, rapping his fingers against the door of the department store that we've entered quietly.
Nothing happens, no clicking, no mumbling, nothing. Just pure and utter silence that happens to be more terrifying anything.
Joel waves us on to follow him, his gun ready at his side as he carefully and calculatedly steps around the stems on the ground, careful to not awake the hoard just a half mile away. Ellie looks up at me and holds the flashlight beneath her chin with a giggle, forcing a laugh out of me but our fun is killed when Joel turns around with a scowl and he reaches up to press a finger to his lips.
"Joel, look." I reach out to grab his hand in mine after pointing towards the wall of camping gear and he relaxes a bit, turning back to me with a soft, proud smile- maybe not a full smile but it's something.
"Did he just smil-"
"We don't mention it." I whisper to Ellie as she giggles under her breath, gripping onto my hand before I can let go of Joel's hand, he squeezes mine tighter, not letting me go as we continue towards the object of our affection, the huge tent on the wall and the supplies scattered around it.
We work on gathering what we can into the bags that we find, canteens, packaged food, canned food, first aid kits for mine and Ellie's clumsy asses, but most importantly we found texts and blankets that would end up doing us well.
"Was that thunder?" Ellie asks after the blatantly loud crash that could genuinely be anything in the state of the world that we're in. But another loud crash fills the room along with a bright flash of lightening and I jump, looking to Joel with a frantic look.
"We can set up camp here." Joel's stern voice almost comforts me because I know that he'd never steer us wrong or lead us down a bad path, always wanting to keep his two girls safe. "Set up the tents, rest a bit." He claps his hands with a sigh, reaching down to grab his back and a tent before turning to us.
"Seems like we're pretty safe here for now." I shrug, looking to Ellie who isn't completely convinced of our plan to hunker down. I know she's eager to get to her final destination and, don't get me wrong, so are we, but it's hard to be up and moving for days, especially in this world. "I say we do it." I give her a nod, reaching out to pat her shoulder soothingly and she nods. "Am I with you or Ellie?"
"With me." Joel says before I can even get the sentence out and he begins to walk away, expecting me to follow. but I'm stuck in my place, looking to Ellie with wide, shocked eyes. She laughs and gives me a little nudge in his direction and I can feel an anticipatory shiver run down my spine.
"You heard the man, go."
It takes a bit for us all to get settled, Joel helping Ellie and I both put our tents up before we allow ourselves to settle into our respected spaces, unpacking and actually changing out of the clothes we've been in for days on end now.
It's hard not to watch him as he turns his back to me, stripping himself of his shirt, revealing the strong muscles of his back and neck, his biceps clenching with every move while he puts on a new shirt. I try to do the same, I try to pick my jaw up from the floor and finally change- the only thing I've been thinking about for days- but now that I'm here, alone with him for the first time in at least a week, all I can think about is reaching out and touching him.
But I don't.
"Do you have an extra shirt, Joel?" I ask timidly, rubbing my arms that are covered in goosebumps, biting at my lip as Joel rummages through his bag, pulling out a large t-shirt before tossing it in my direction. "Thanks."
I sit up, stripping myself of my shirt as I wrap my arms around my bare chest, feeling Joel shift behind me as I feel a hand on my bare waist.
It's been so long since we've had the time for him to touch me, only sneaking quick grazes of our hands against one another while we've had Ellie attached to us.
I shiver against his touch, neck craning back to look at him and he smiles softly, wrapping his other arm around me, hand coming up to wrap around my throat, thumb rubbing gently against my jaw as he pulls me back into him.
His lips find my neck, free hand that's not keeping up chin tilted upwards travels down my chest and waist, touching and exploring every inch of my free skin. Anywhere he can reach, he'll touch.
"Missed you." I whisper, tilting my head to catch his lips in a heated kiss, my whole body warming after being out in the damp cold for so long, and I move to turn in his grasp, sliding effortlessly into his lap with a moan.
"'m right here-" I pause against his lips as I clear clicking outside, my jaw dropping and eyes lifting to look back at the door and Joel freezes against me. "Shh." He whispers, rubbing my back soothingly as the clickers seem to pass by the tent, not bothering to tune in on the way that I'm breathing and for a minute, Ellie passes through my mind, wondering if she hears them too.
"Fuck." I mutter moments later, hearing tapping on the tent wall and I fly to slip a sweatshirt over my head as the door begins to unzip. Joel's armed in nearly a second, gun positioned firmly towards the door as Ellie shows up in the gap of the tent wall
"It's me!" She squeaks, tossing her backpack into our tent and I give Joel a look and a pregnant pause falls over the tent as Ellie looks around behind her. "They're gone." She breathes a sigh of relief and shivers, looking to Joel in a pleading look. "I hate to kill the romance but can I hang in here for the rest of the night. If I'm going to die, so are you guys."
"That's the whole point of protecting you. C'mon kid." I giggle, tugging her into the tent and into my arms as she cuddles into my sleeping bag, Joel glaring at us from across the tent with his oh so familiar scowl.

What do you think would happen with the family/Stewy and Porce with the proxy fight?
Hello lovely Nonnie! What a great and big question! Bare with me for this ramble!
Future Porce and the Shark spoilers below!
It'll be a mess. An absolute mess. More of a mess than the usual Roy mess.
Things will start to become tense with Stewy abstaining from the board vote in S1. I could see Kendall lashing out at Porce about it (did I already start writing that a few weeks ago? Yes. Yes I did. So 👀). But Stewy's made it clear, he's behind whoever wins and I think he had intended to vote for Kendall until he saw the state of that board room and that it was a definite losing battle. He's clever, he played it perfectly in the situation and wasn't going to sacrifice himself for that. He would've been immediately upfront about what happened with Porce. Would she be happy? No, she would've been worried about Kendall as both Stewy and Roman betrayed him but she would've understood it.
Post that- is when angst is intoduced into Porce and the Shark! How are we feeling about that? I feel a bit torn, as some of you know I really struggle with angst and will avoid it at all costs. But I think this is an interesting part of the story and I think to explore this, angst is inevitable. Is this maybe spoilery, I guess so heads up for that!
With the bear hug at the end of S1. The angst will start to kick in. I don't think/plan to write that Stewy or Kendall would tell her about the bear hug. I know, I know! Stewy and Porce are communication champs. He wouldn't tell her not because he doesn't trust her, he does. But because he knows that with Kendall it'll create a Roy civil war which will hurt her and he wants to spare her of knowing for as long as he can and then he'll handle the aftermath of his and Kendall's actions. She'd find out at the wedding like everyone else does, she'd feel absolutely guilty and Shiv would hold it against her and make her feel so bad about it all. She'd try to talk Stewy out of it a bunch at the start and it'll be a kind of tragic "How do I fix this?" "Don't do it." "I have to." "I know." There'd be some trust issues and Porce would really struggle with the smear campaigns of her husband vs her siblings and father.
I also believe that Logan thinks he could plant the idea into Porce's head and talk her into divorcing Stewy and having full custody of Jonathan and Tillie. She'd be horrified and he'd really try to push it but she wouldn't budge on that. I'm tempted to write that up now that I've thought about it as well!
With the family in S2 of The "timeline" Porce would be more ostracised from the family. The only person who would keep genuine contact with her would be Connor. Kendall's in too much turmoil to think of her, Shiv would only contact her when she wants something or is trying to pull a game. I could see Logan asking Shiv to have some "girl talk" with Porce in an attempt to get ammo against Stewy/convince Porce to leave him and I think Porce would at first be touched at her sister reaching out. Giving Shiv the benefit of the doubt that it's something genuine and like sisterhood but being very upset to click what's going on. Roman also wouldn't contact Porce other than a few secret texts, he'd be cold but I think he'd be more conflicted than the others. We see that despite him being extremely cruel at times he does struggle a lot more with cutting out family members compared to the others as seen with Logan and Kendall. That could totally be argued with the power dynamic though but I also think it's partially that middle child, always being in the middle wanting everyone to get along and I think he finds Porce's existence comforting.
I think by the third season she's not so iced out but it's still a bit tense and then fourth season it's kind of better. Porce is definitely more sympathetic towards her siblings than her father and at that point it's not a plot point.
I think as a couple it'll impact their relationship, it'll raise some understandable distrust and hurt. Stewy will feel guilty and Porce won't like the dynamic of him feeling like he needs to make things up to her etc. It'll also force her to find her voice a bit and to kind of grow up in that way. It'll be rough, there will be angst, some interesting conversations but I want to say and promise that while it will be tense at times Stewy and Porce will be okay!!! I promise you they're more than okay!
I'd be interested to read your thoughts on this Nonnie and anyone else who wants to share theirs as well! Thank you so much for sending it in, I appreciate you doing so and taking the time to read my pieces. Have a great night 💗

All right, I didn’t want to do this, to dignify this bullshit with attention, but I’m going to be annoyed about it anyway and if I write the annoyance down and post it somewhere then I can move on from thinking about it. That’s pretty much why this whole blog exists – write the thoughts down, put them somewhere outside me, then I can move on from them.
Many days when I wake up, I check Chortle like it’s the morning paper. It’s not a perfect website. In many ways, it’s rather a shit website. The frequency of the typos is genuinely amazing, for a website that people get paid to make. But I’m not on Twitter (and I don’t think going there would be a good way to find fewer writing errors in my way of getting comedy news), and I want to know what’s going on in British comedy, and that’s a good way to scan the headlines.
I’m not doing a Chortle headlines roundup this morning, where I post the actual headlines. I almost linked to their top story today, and then decided I shouldn’t, and this is the first time I’ve ever thought I shouldn’t link to Chortle. Because Chortle’s imperfect, but it’s not evil, a link to there is not going to drive traffic that’ll be used for nefarious means, it’s not like linking to the Daily Mail or some shit.
But I still don’t want to link to this one. Throughout the Edinburgh Festival this year, I got annoyed when they posted an article about it pretty much every time Graham Linehan left his house. Why give this attention? Why treat this like it deserves any relevance? Why play directly into his hands, by constantly covering what is very, very clearly a contrived publicity stunt? Why write an article about how this is a transparent ploy for attention, when the writing of that article clearly rewards it with the exact attention he wants? (For anyone who didn’t follow it, basically, Graham Linehan got himself booked on a gig that got canceled so he could shout about being canceled, and then he did his set anyway in the street. It really isn’t that interesting.)
Well, we know what it was all for now. Everyone who said it was a publicity stunt was right, and everyone who publicly said it was a publicity stunt did, in fact, contribute to further publicity for what was definitely a publicity stunt. And not just some general publicity stunt to garner attention for the general concept of Graham Linehan – it was a specific guerrilla marketing campaign for this book. And everyone played into his hands.
That’s the Chortle top story I’m not linking to – today’s announcement that he’s written a book about how he got canceled. I realized today that, as annoyed as I am about everyone giving him the attention – I still clicked all those Chortle headlines this summer. And I don’t click every Chortle headline. I click the ones that interest me. But I clicked every one that mentioned Linehan, because I was curious. Thereby letting Chortle know that they can get the click-based attention their business model requires by continuing to give Linehan the attention he needs to market his book. What a fucked up state of the world. I’m not trying to, like, cancel Chortle or anything. I’m still going to read that site and link to it when I think there’s something interesting. But I can at least avoid linking to their Linehan articles.
That’s what’s in it, though. Graham Linehan has written a book and it’ll be published next month. The book is the type of thing that should really be a relic by now, shouldn’t it? It’s been a cliché, at this point, for comedians to make jokes about the provocateur who gets a book deal and TV spots and uses them to talk loudly and publicly about how they’ve been silenced. That joke’s been done to death, we’re all now aware of how absurd that is. So how on Earth are people still doing it unironically? It would be like someone doing an unironic, unsuberverted “What’s the deal with airplane food?” joke in 2023.
If that were all this was, I’d have read the article, rolled my eyes, and moved along. Because like I said, I don’t want to give it attention (though I’d argue that my tiny tiny Tumblr blog giving attention to something does not make me hypocrite for complaining about one of the biggest websites in comedy giving it attention – it’s not the same thing). But this article listed the quotes that have been lent in support of the book. Andrew Doyle – obviously. Simon Evans – no surprise, don’t care, though I’d say this might push him from “really shitty right-wing comic but I guess he’s sort of just barely on the slightly more acceptable side of right-wing, and therefore it’s not totally unconscionable that that they have him on The News Quiz sometimes, a bit like Geoff Norcott as much as Geoff Norcott fucking sucks”, to “seriously, if the BBC keeps booking this guy, I might go beyond just skipping his episodes and be done with The News Quiz altogether”.
Then there’s Jonathan Ross, which is slightly more notable because he’s still out there in the mainstream respectable side of comedy (well, light entertainment, at least), but not a surprise. I think he’s already publicly expressed support for Linehan, anyway. Also, he married his wife when he was 28 and she was 18, after meeting her when he was 26 and she was 16. Who cares about anything else about him?
That’s a bit how I feel about Frank Skinner too – why is there any debate about whether he’s a good guy, when he married a teenager who was ten years his junior (though in Skinner’s case, there’s the added fun element that he was her teacher)? This isn’t some vague rumour that he might have fucked a teenager, where we can pretend it might not be true, like with Noel Fielding. He definitely did it, they got married. They had a ceremony with witnesses and legal documents to formally acknowledge that he definitely fucked that teenager. I don’t care what else he’s done, that should be enough to end the conversation about whether we like this guy.
I’ve thought before that it says something about standards and values in the 00s that Jonathan Ross had a very successful career in the public eye for many years after marrying a teenager, no one minded that, he only got in trouble with the BBC after he made some lewd phone calls (I think those phone calls are the thing that have landed Russell Brand in the most actual hot water as well, despite those being much less bad than the crimes he’s confessed to in public, not to mention the ones that he hasn’t). Around the same time, Frankie Boyle said a bunch of horribly misogynistic and racist shit on Mock the Week, and that was all fine, he only got fired for a joke that was insufficiently reverent about the queen. Interesting where the BBC draws its lines.
Anyway, this has gone very off topic, but the point is that I don’t care what Jonathan Ross has said, because I never liked him anyway (I mean, he is also really annoying, but that shouldn’t be the main reason to dislike him in light of the fact that he married a teenager). That leaves just one person who gave a supportive quote to Linehan that counts as a surprise or disappointment, which is Richard Ayoade.
“Graham Linehan has long been one of my favourite writers - and this book shows that his brilliance in prose is the equal to his brilliance as a screenwriter. It unfolds with the urgency of a Sam Fuller film: that of a man who has been through something that few have experienced but has managed to return, undaunted, to tell us the tale.”
Normally, I would not hold a pull quote on a book against anyone. I know those things don’t mean anything. I know that much of the time, the person who wrote the quote didn’t even read the book. I know they were just asked to say something so they did, or maybe they even just let their publicist write something and then signed off on it. But in this case, even if that’s what happened, that doesn’t make it better. The unconscionable thing here is lending any support to Linehan in 2023. You can’t even make some argument about separating the art from the artist, because this is the artist. It’s not an unrelated stand-up comedy set, it’s a book about how his views are fine and he shouldn’t have been canceled for them. Even if Richard Ayoade never read that book, he signed off on having his name attached to a statement that a book on that subject is okay.
The only thing that would justify this is if it turns out they took a quote he said years ago out of context, or if they made it up entirely. The former seems unlikely as he seems to be talking directly about this book, referring to Linehan's ability to write prose. The latter seems unlikely as inventing this seems like an absurd thing to do even by Graham Linehan’s standards, and if he had, you’d think Richard Ayoade would make some statement denying it.
God damn it. I mean, it’s not the end of the world. I’m not quite emotionally invested enough in being a fan of Richard Ayoade to have that much difficulty in saying, “Okay, I’m definitely done being a fan of that guy now.” But I did like him. I’d love to revise history and say I never liked him, but that wouldn't be true. I can claim to have been on the right side of history a little bit, in that I always thought The IT Crowd was overrated. I first watched it when I was in high school because all my friends loved it and I wanted to see what the fuss was about, and I didn’t think it was that great. I re-watched it in 2020, and thought some of it was funny, but it didn’t deserve to be as revered as it was. Once I learned more about Linehan, I became pleased that I took that viewpoint (I also never got into Black Books, tried one episode years ago and didn’t much like it). I guess I have another reason to consider that the right side of history now. But I can’t pretend I never liked Richard Ayoade.
Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace is a fucking masterpiece. I thought Question Team was great. The IT Crowd was sometimes funny. He was funny on Mighty Boosh things. And I always find him funny on panel shows. Any episode of Catsdown or Big Fat Quiz or Buzzcocks or anything like that will be funnier if Richard Ayoade’s in the lineup. He’s quick and he’s sharp and he plays his persona brilliantly. He's funny. I liked him enough to feel disappointed about being done with him now, but not enough to feel conflicted about it.
Though on the subject of the persona… look, if Richard Ayoade really thinks it’s fine to dedicate your life to insisting that everyone should have to remain exactly what they were when they were born and cannot ask people to see them as anything different from that, then I’d like to point out, it’s not his real voice.
youtube
Which is fine, it really is. I’ve shared those things before to laugh at the contrast between that version of Richard Ayoade and the guy we know now, but I don’t think it means he actually did anything wrong. Comedians using personas is totally normal, though Richard Ayoade took it farther than many do. He played one really nerdy character in about 2006, and then got stuck having to continue playing that character on every TV appearance for the rest of his life. Which you’d think he might consider limiting, but I guess it did also make him large amounts of money, which might be why the limiting nature of the persona he took on did not stop him from feeling destructive levels of loyalty to its creator.
He just... you didn't need this, Richard! You absolutely did not need to do this! Why couldn't you have just kept doing what all the other apolitical comedians like you do: shut up about it, and let us all assume your political views are probably basically fine, even while we vaguely know in the back of our minds that probably if we ever heard you tell us what you think about everything we wouldn't be able to like you anymore? You know, like we do with possibly some of your Cambridge contemporaries? (David Mitchell, I'm going to need you to shut your mouth very tightly about this, as tightly as you shut your mouth when you were next to Robert Webb in that interview where he was refusing to walk back his transphobic comments, because as long as you continue to not actually say anything, I can continue to like you.)
I understand why some comedians go right-wing. Small ones, struggling to build a career in the mainstream, do a Comedy Unleashed show so they can compete in the smaller and less competitive market of right-wing comedy. And/or they say something horrible because it might get them on the front page of Chortle and even negative publicity still helps them build a brand.
But Richard Ayoade did not need to do that. He fucking won in the mainstream comedy arena. He can get on the front page of Chortle any time he wants. He did not fucking need this. I was trying to think of the best way to describe this situation, and I have to give @lastweeksshirttonight credit for being, as usual, more concise and clear about things than I am as they used the term "unforced error". There's no a better way to put it than that. There was no reason for this.
Okay, those are my thoughts, I have written them down and put them somewhere, and I shall now move the fuck on and stop paying attention to it. But fucking hell, this is annoying. I did like the guy. Why taint the legacy of Garth Marenghi this way?

watching Leverage: ep 4
GOOD MORNING!
i actually meant to watch this episode last night but my sleepy brain said otherwise lol
Pre-game Thoughts:
also thank you everyone in the Leverage fandom who has given me such a warm welcome! y'all are so sweet and i feel like i'm being mothered by older cousins lol. i didn't expect this to gain a lot of ppl's attention, just a couple mutuals but hello!!! welcome to the show that y'all are vicariously watching through me or rewatching!
ok so turns out last episode we delved more into character backstory AND the overarching plot
Eliot was a farm-boy before getting becoming a bruiser, and i don't know why that is so funny to me (yes i do). my only question is when did he decide to go into that kind of business. was he an underground boxer or something? did he move to the city to "make a name for himself" but instead got into the mafia or something?
out of all the characters, this man is the one i want to know more about just because he never explains himself. oh, he recognized the fighting style of that mercenary? how sir??? oh you've been in this business for some time? how long sir????
this big insurance company is definitely the big bad. if they are the ones that our crew faces in the season's finale, i wouldn't be shocked. i would a little disappointed because these guys seem more like a s3 type of big bad that you build and build for some more seasons.
the actor who plays sterling is so familiar to me. i feel like i've seen him but he looked older than now. was he in spn? i think he was. i don't watch spn, but i've seen enough gifs to know the cast.
i've talked long enough, on with the show!
spoilers incoming lol
fluffy's reactions!
i haven't even clicked play yet WHY IS ALEC WEARING YELLOW??? LMAO HE LOOKS LIKE THE BANANA HAT GUY FROM CURIOUS GEORGE
THE CLERGY???? oh wait no this is about city council corruption. a little disappointed, but this concept is still interesting
the children trying so hard to compliment sophie about her play. i think parker was genuine tho and she deserves a gold star
nathan trying his best to compliment the play lol "a beautiful rendition!" he keeps it vague enough to ensure there's nothing bad well done
OH??? THE EX WIFE IS COMING IN??? DON'T WORRY SOPHIE EVERYTHING WILL BE OK
"what are you doing?" asks the priest suspiciously. "just....uh, moving God's plan along...faster." nice save there nathan
awwww he didn't need to ask them this time to help out
when i say sophie and nathan are in love, i mean it because do you see how soft they are for each other????
alec already with the presentation board about which corporation they're hitting next before nathan needs to ask him my heart! he's already narrowed it down and even knew just what to say, my little prepared computer nerd
ok i know alec's the guy who has more of the comedic lines but don't think i haven't been noticing that his aversions to certain places or people are little holes into his backstory (or maybe not and i'm looking into this too hard but who would i be if i didn't)
"i don't do gangs" that is a short little line but has a a lot of untapped backstory in it i can FEEL IT
very sweet of eliot to just figuratively drag alec with him to get info on the gang who beat up the priest
his son was baptised there T^T ok ok we hitting at nathan's backstory today got it
sophie picking up nathan's distress immediately NOBODY TOUCH ME
well whata you know, i guess it can be that easy to find the gang you're looking for
"how's this for answer" *shows gun* i'm so sorry i chuckled. that's so corny i'm sorry. i would get shot by that man if he did that because i would not stop laughing
YEAH THAT'S MY BOY ALEC SHOVE THAT BITCH
i forgot about the dislocated shoulder lmao
"do you mind?" OOP LITTLE DUDE'S IN DEEP SHIT WITH HIS GANG so the corp enlisted just a lackey from the gang and not the whole....interesting (also their mistake it seems)
ah this grant dude has a stick up his ass
ALEC'S FACE AT PARKER DEAD
ooooooh his publicist?
Tomas talking about his old neighborhood and then grant slamming on it NOOOOOO you hurt my boy
omfg he got yelled at by a nun they're ruthless i tell you
alec my boy "you're catholic and you want to fake a miracle?" i'm DEAD i'll have you know that good intentions are very important
eliot immediately on board with shooting the statue with a paintball gun after saying he thought the idea of the statue bleeding was dumb
AH sophie and nathan heart to heart T^T "you were the good guy...that's what made it fun" "i was...tempted" SEE THIS IS WHAT I MEANT BY DON'T TELL ME BUT ALSO TELL ME
she gonna wait for him T^T "but not for too long" LIES SOPHIE
OOOOOOH TOURIST TRAP
GRANT IS DOING WHAT I THINK HE'S DOING
NO I WAS JOKING ABOUT THE TOURIST TRAP
TOMAS'S FACE
THE VATICAN?????
i love fr. paul. he's so mad lmao
wow we really getting into it
tomas i love you, i'm so glad
FUCKING SHIT I WAS FOLLOWING THE CONGREGATION
"a reading of the Gospel according to Luke" me: "glory to you oh lord---SHIT"
see, this is why i keep my thoughts to myself with a priest because they will use in in their homilies.
WHAT A TWIST
TOMAS MY BOY
ok but saint nick is santa claus tho
he is also the patron saint of prostitutes
general thoughts:
i really thought this episode would center on the clergy and all of that, but that's a too big topic to even cover for one episode. not to mention that that issue covers more than the US and i don't think the leverage crew will go international with their heisting yet.
and this did a great job covering how a lot of poorer communities get screwed over by bigger corporations seeking to expand their commercial empire. ALSO how most of their issues comes with underfunded infrastructure that local governments ignore, giving those corporations such a "great" reason to state their case on why those buildings/neighborhoods should be torn down.
AND it even touched on how quickly things that should be considered marvels are so easily commercialized in this day and age. grant was so ready to turn that church into the next disneyland which 1) is sacrilegious and 2) is such a shallow view on miracles. but hey, that's what US brands have done with Christmas soooooooo it wouldn't be surprising to see someone try to do that with a crying statue.
we even get the discussion of intention vs action because THAT is a hot topic in the Catholic community. do the ends justify the means? do the means justify the ends? and while they kind of leave that question in the air for the audience to decide for themselves, it kind of ends with the episode leaning more on the intention's side. Father Paul broke his vow and revealed what he knew when Nathan confessed because he felt that it was the right thing to do (intention: do right by his church and conscience; action: break the vow of silence a priest makes for confessionals). Our band of thieves framed Grant in order to keep the church's integrity and save the neighborhood. Both acts are considered bad, but both were done with the intention to do good.
so yeah, it was a fun episode, my ot3 trio are going strong. and i can't wait for more!

do you know about lord Krishna (a deity) of the Hindu mythology? I'm not much of a religious person but i know ab him a lot bcz of coming from a religious household and somethings ab him and kaeya just clicks so much
I actually thought ab it bcz kaeya's constellation is a peacock and Krishna is often symbolized with peacock feathers, so i looked into it . I think there might be some links connecting the both but I can't say for sure everything is connected but somethings might be telling us what might happen in the future lore.
And if i really post it rather than keep it in my mind can I tag you?
Thank you for asking, anon! I do know a bit about Krishna (my mom had a Bollywood phase and Krishna was frequently mentioned) but I have a feeling you know better than me. I wish I knew more than just the basics, but there are a lot of similarities between them other than just the peacock symbolism!
I also realized while seeing some Desi!Kaeya fanart that he gives the same energy as to when I see images of Krishna (the fanarts are so good. Probably one of my favorite types of Kaeya art)
I will be using some texts from wiki to better explain my MAIN points because my mind is a mess and I need to learn to control my blabbering!! If i didn't do this, who knows how long this post will get...
Feel free to use this as a basis as well! I'd be happy to get tagged when you post about his possible future for in-game lore. For people knowledgable in Hindu, please feel free to expand on this as well!
"He is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love"
-Kaeya has been portrayed as a protective force of Mondstat along with the rest of the knights.
-Noteworthy moments are him being said to protect a nun's family and his roundabout way in protecting Diluc's identity as the darknight hero
-"Specializes in awakening knightly virtues in others." - Text in TCG card
-he is the guy who planned a birthday party for a friend in secret and passed the praise to someone else.
-several instances of Klee mentioning him being like a big brother to her (him making her a survival handbook and teaching her tcg)
- he has a cryo vision. Love has always been a main topic when it concerns them, especially since their archon representative is the Goddess of Love
"They portray him in various perspectives: as a god-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero, and the universal supreme being."
-his father has dubbed him as their last hope, already putting him on a (very bad for a child) pedestal. He is clearly seen as a possible hero for them and the entirety of Khaenri'ah
-seemingly the only curseless Khaenri'ahn thus far (hope we learn more in 3.5), and perhaps even "blessed" to have a vision
-known to prank and tease people enough that most descriptions of him are exactly about that
-was said to be the elderly's top choice for grandson-in-law
-crack idea but the game has this habit of inserting anecdotes or comments about Kaeya as much as possible to make sure to remind you of him. Suspicious, but so far its mostly funny things. He also seems to be a universal representative in-game oddly enough (frequently the face of tutorials or is part of the character trials).
Kaeya having Desi themes is definitely the biggest indicator to this. Were he not designed and named in such a way, many of us would have probably brushed this off (probably wouldnt have even connected the dots)
I hope this inspires further discussion. This topic is genuinely interesting in my opinion :)

Re: an anonymous hate message I just received
as a forewarning for anyone who might read this, below the cut are some pretty awful statements and foul language directed towards me from this anonymous individual. these accusations are why i’m placing my full response under the cut.
but as a tl;dr — someone says awful and upsetting things, death is rightfully upset.
I’m also assuming that this individual is coming from the ‘toh’ fandom based on their statements — which is incredibly disappointing but oh well.
This is the complete message, which I will be breaking down and responding to point by point — so you can see that I’m not editing it to mince anon’s words.
Tumblr media
now let’s get on to the breakdown.
————
INTRODUCTION
Tumblr media
I’m sure that I don’t need to tell anyone that this isn’t a good way of introducing your point. Right? If anon is trying to get me on their side or show themselves to be a sympathetic or genuinely concerned person then this is going about it the wrong way entirely. You’re immediately presenting yourself as antagonistic and making yourself not likeable as a speaker.
But don’t worry it gets worse.
————
POINT ONE
Tumblr media
They’re not real people, anon, they’re fictional characters. It’s effectively the same as when you take two dolls and make them kiss (as I’m sure most kids did at some point).
I draw the line at rpf or at sexual fiction of characters played by real children/real minors because that’s way too far. For example, smut of the IT (2017?) cast is vile to me in concept and execution.
What you’re talking about is me writing about drawings — lines/pixels with a voice actor — being in sexual situations. Fictional characters can be aged up because they’re, by definition, not real.
And besides you’re definitely in the minority opinion here as the vast majority of requests in my inbox are for hunter. Don’t you think that says something?
————
POINT TWO
Tumblr media
Ah yes, non-con. That old beast. Its a dead dove topic and whenever I or another writer in my circle depicts it, it’s done with plenty of explicit warnings about the contents therein.
Again this is fictional content we’re talking about. Dark fiction has always been a thing and will always be a thing.
I’m taking a literature course at uni and we discuss media depicting rape and worse regularly because it’s part of literature. Writing about something doesn’t mean the writer condones that act and you shouldn’t make assumptions of character based on what someone writes.
That’s like critical media analysis 101 — you sound like you’d go after whump writers and call them murder fetishists or something lol. You’re just really not helping your case AT ALL.
Fiction is fiction; repeat until you understand that principle.
————
POINT THREE
Tumblr media
Anon has a good point here, actually! Like their phrasing was terrible and accusatory, but if they’d led with this I’d probably be open to discussion. But burying it beneath two accusations and two insults (at minimum) isn’t going to make someone want to actually discuss the error of the system they’re using.
Of course I’m aware that people lie on the internet. I’m not an idiot — we’ve all clicked on the ‘yes I’m 18+’ pop up on dodgy sites before. I’m also aware that most smart minors will lie about their age to begin with because putting anything smaller than ‘18’ in your bio/pinned is basically a bright flashing neon sign shouting that this person is easy prey for a nonce or something along those lines.
Similarly the use of anon is dodgy and the trust system I use with requesters can easily be taken advantage of.
But what you’re incorrect about is that if I have proof of someone telling me that they’re an adult then I will not be at fault for what happens. If a minor lies to get access to an adult space and gets hurt, then that minor is liable for their own hurt — which is unfortunate but inevitable.
I’m not going to force people to give me their government issued I.Ds because I’m not a complete nutter. That would be dangerous for everyone involved and also probably doxxing. Which is, again, a big no-no.
So for as unfortunately dumb as it is, I’m going to be sticking with the honour system for requests for now. If I find a better, safer way then I’ll use that — but as we don’t have that yet, I’ll use what I’ve got available to me.
Thanks for pointing it out though! Like genuinely this is the only good part of this message lol.
————
SEND OFF
Tumblr media
You’re already accusing me of being a nonce mate — and over fiction, at that. And to add to it all you didn’t have the gonads to do it off-anon, which is unfortunate but inevitable of this sort of person. And besides you know nothing of my tastes and attractions based on the requests I write.
To be perfectly frank out of all the characters from TOH, I’m only attracted to Belos and Alador. Most of the ‘characters’ that I end up attracted to are played by people much older than me and, also, not cartoons! Like most slashers, the avengers, and hell even Pierce Brosnan in Black Addam lol.
But that’s irrelevant. You shouldn’t come in to random people’s ask boxes accusing them of horrible things and speaking so cruelly. And if you ever do this in the future I’d recommend having the confidence in your statements to do it off anon. Or admit that your opinions are clearly in the minority.
Oh! And as a final note: no this wasn’t ignored and deleted, you got a full response. But you’re right that I don’t care, because you’re spouting complete and utter nonsense.
But oh well, since you want to be deleted so bad, I hope you enjoy your block. Have a wonderful day, anon. I hope you learn to be a better person : )
And to anyone that’s read this far: thank you for your time. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day /gen. ^^

Clearly you’re getting to a few folks so congrats there — not that it’s your goal because, as you repeatedly point out, this is your blog and you can say whatever tf you want and nobody has to read it.
Re the K&A eras tour spectacle… I’m gonna throw in my 2cents.
At this point I feel like about 80-90% of what I see screams PR setup with those two. But I’ll be completely blunt and say I don’t really know wtf I’m looking at. Isn’t that kind of the point? We are on the outside looking in so we don’t know what actually goes on between these two. We don’t know and we may never know — unless one of them spills the tea and that’s no doubt forbidden in such arrangements.
I have a feeling that when all this started it seemed like a fine idea for both of them. Austin probably very much needed to have someone around who could handle herself on a red carpet and wasn’t expecting a lifetime commitment (in that case, youth a definite plus). I believe they are both avid readers, they have fame and celebrity in common, they understand themselves as commodities of the entertainment industry, they both travel for work, etc. My point is they would have enough shared interests and work experiences to get along nicely, and even genuinely date.
Now, I ask you, how is a 20-year-old NOT going to fall in love with him in these circumstances? We’re all gaga over him and we’ve never even gotten to hold his hand, talk to him, sit next to him, or *gasp* kiss him. Austin isn’t an asshole (by EVERYONE’s account at this point except V), so I think he’s not going to be disrespectful or cold or rude or even withhold affection from her, cameras or not.
Even if this was always a “real” relationship, it could only ever be a rebound (from both V and Elvis). Because he had just painfully ended a NINE YEAR relationship and was coming down off the most intense acting gig of his life and rushing headlong into film promotion.
But the fact that he may have benefitted from the lack of challenge and longevity of an arranged situation at that time is exactly what may be so bothersome now. How can someone as young and privileged as K provide the kind of supportive partnership that a man of substance would require? He’s been through so much more than she has. I don’t mean to suggest that famous young people don’t have pain and hardship, too. But the difference in what he has endured and what she has endured is stark.
He’s a kind human, and he can no doubt truly enjoy witnessing a bunch of people have an absolute blast at the TS concert. Despite the few moments of PDA, he looked a lot more like a big brother escorting lil sis to the concert than he looked like a man swooning over his love. And anyone who has seen a few extremely vivid photos of him and V knows that K&A simply do not click on even remotely the same level. So however it started, whatever it is, it really seems to have a limited shelf life.
Bottom line: I have no idea because I’m not either one of them and it isn’t my life, or my business. In my case the only reason I’m even thinking about them this much is because there are things in my own life I am currently desperate to avoid. That’s okay, that’s kind of a great advantage of being a fan, but I feel like a lot of people do not know how to make that distinction. That’s okay too but when you come into anon asks and insult people, you’re fucked up.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
honestly MJ my darling, im just trying to blog normal stuff in between all these asks and it seems like its never ending lol idk how this ended up spiraling the way it did but well, here we are. since you took the time to send me a well thought out ask, im going to give you a well thought out response and let that be it for tonight haha
i don't know if i would necessarily say that the point is for it to be grey area. i think personally when it comes to a relationship you're either with somebody or you're not. you're either in love with somebody or you're not. there are nuances to each of those sides on the spectrum, but generally you will know without hesitation or doubt what you're looking at. and because they keep it teetering on grey area of "are they or are they not PR?" then that is deceptive. in my opinion. the idea in PR is to keep them in the media's eye whenever often.
i absolutely agree that in the beginning austin probably was onboard with the set of facts that he was given. i mean, how can you truly know somebody that you're with and know if you're going to like them long term when he was presented with the choice? he probably thought it wasn't a horrible deal - she gets press from being seen with the new it guy and breaks into the acting world like she wants, and he gets a girl on his arm for the red carpet stuff. she probably seemed unassuming, and i highly doubt he did not know anything about the crawford/gerbers. like i said, over the period of time you start to see for real who these people are and who you're dealing with. he might have been cool in the beginning to be in the PR thing, but then as time went on and he's spending time with her and her family then the gears start forming. and the "oh shit, im in a bind here" starts to crop up.
and yes you're right, what young person wouldn't want to be in that deal? she dates the hot new guy on the block and gets press from it, then moves on to the next. cookie cutter process. austin was only in genuine relationships, how the hell would he know that this would turn out to be a disaster (or ZIZZASTER as grandma lois would say). austin is a very nice guy, and to your point exactly, he would not be outright rude to her. does he walk away from her, wear a mask and disguise around her, and other such things he does as his own form of acting out? yes, i think it's safe to say that austin doing what he can to distance himself from her in a respectful way is his way of saying "i do not agree with this, nor do i want to be here".
you are also correct with this point - how can a young girl like her know how to provide and support a grown ass man of his caliber? she doesn't, simply. she has never dated anybody like austin before, and she is simply not experienced enough in life to know how to do that yet.
and big bro escorting little sis is right. i also saw it as he looked like her bodyguard hanging around while she does her thing lol. or babysitting gig. he is so sweet and lovely, i just want the best for him and it's clear you and so many others do as well. im so glad you took the time to message me MJ! I always value your incredible and thoughtful insights!

hi hi this is coming in hot but do you think robin is actually autistic? like they're doing it on purpose? i've heard some people say adhd as well because of how fast she speaks. and eddie as well! i'm asking because i know you're also autistic lol
LOL the last line. um i definitely think she's autistic i just have no idea if this is intentional at all or if it is it's more of a vague unsaid thing which they love to do on st and i could see this in specific being an attempt of "anyone can see themselves in her" thing but in MY opinionnn i think the traits she shows definitely possibly deliberately ping as neurodivergent and the entire b plot with robin and nancy (who i also think isn't nt at all and that's why they didn't get along very well at first actually!!!) is like the nail in the coffin
like um literally word vomit begging nancy to understand "she doesn't get social cues" then doing her best to clear up what she thinks is the issue (bc shes hyper aware of these things) the inability to communicate without trying to empathise with a personal story instead of just saying "it'll be okay" like how she was talking about the girl who broke her leg or something in s3 with el? the sensory issues taking longer to walk as a kid being "clumsy" being blunt not caring about quote unquote social norms (esp in s3 she's literally the worlds most autism employee) also learning FOUR LANGUAES FLUENTLY before the age of 18?! also even stuff like wearing rings and fiddly things. and there's so much more i'm definitely forgetting she is GENUINELY autistic i just have no clue if that will ever be Said and tbh if they just keep doing what they ARE doing i don't think it needs to be said just like. confirmed. said in the subtext. i do personally take this all AS confirmation and one of the good things about this show is it doesn't hold your hand like how no ones ever actually Come Out with the Words but we still know but yeah more padding would be cool.
also personally it does um frustrate me a little when ppl say she's Just got adhd even tho i sort of get it it makes me want to explode like a popcorn like omggg she literally at one point just starts listing diagnostic traits 😭😭. if u relate to every single one of robin's characteristics and think she is just adhd i might have news for you. oh and eddie i can totally see as well i also think steve has audhd and that's why stobin get along so well they fit together like two little puzzle pieces but why robin and nancy didn't click right away it's like uh. opposing magnetism ... opposing autism...

Tell us more about your MH DR! (If you want)
Like fave memories? Fave classes? Who do you get along with the best and who do you get along with the least? What is the world like? Unexpected things you did not expect to see in your DR? Also how did Draculaura and Clawdeen end up dating anyways? TELL US EVERYTHING. I’m so curious.
Sure!!
Fave classes: Even though I don't like Rotter himself, I love Dead Languages! Ghoulish Literature is fun too :) Mostly cause Mr. Clamdestine is fucking insane and he's genuinely one of the most fun teachers there.
Fave memories: Oh gosh... where do I start... The entire Scaris trip was an absolute blast! I scripted that Toralei wasn't mean to me so I didn't particularly mind her being there and I had a lot of fun shopping with her when she wasn't trying to piss everyone off. Draculaura and I went to so many cafes there too! And... not to sound cheesy and bring him up again, but a memory that I always replay in my head is when Clawdeen found out about Clawd and I dating and just how supportive she was of it. She immediately threatened to pull his fur out if he did anything to hurt me and warned me about how devoted werewolves can be. Even though it was very intense, it's a heartwarming memory and I still think it's really cute how she managed to warn both of us!
I get along really well with everyone! I didn't want to deal with any drama there so I scripted that I was chill with everyone and that no one bothered me. Out of the main ghouls, Lagoona and I click really well! We have the same sense of humor and our energy levels match too. There's really no one that I don't get along with but I will say that Spectra and I didn't always see eye to eye. I'm not super fond of how nosy she can be and how quick she is to spread things without fact checking. Our relationship definitely got better after she realized how important it is to be a reliable news source (I believe that also happened in the movies or show?).
The reality is really nice! I scripted out monster vs monster racism and human vs monster racism so it's pretty chill! There's so much monster history too that not everyone knows! Like there are some things that certain monsters haven't really explained or told any other monsters about so there's still an air of mystery. It's also really fun to see the differences and similarities between monsters and humans! Especially the monster city and human city counterparts (like Scaris and Paris)!
Unexpected things... maybe how advanced monster technology was? I don't why but for some reason, I thought it was going to be very 2000s esque but their tech is actually a few years ahead of humans!
How Draculaura and Clawdeen got together is actually so cute!! A little messy but cute! They basically both had massive crushes on each other but they assumed the other liked someone else. Clawdeen actually assumed that Laura liked Clawd and Laura thought Clawdeen liked Lagoona. Draculaura was also constantly trying to get Clawdeen to confess who she liked which didn't help cause obviously she wasn't ready to confess to Draculaura but she didn't want to lie. So Draculaura would get upset because they're best friends who literally tell each other everything so she didn't understand why Clawdeen was being so secretive (they always told each other about their crushes before). Anyway, it was obvious to literally everyone but them that they liked each other so we pulled a classic "we planned a secret date for you trust me you'll like them :)))" and then plopped them down at their favorite restaurant together! They didn't confess there but they did have a sleepover that night where they did. They never actually told us the specific details (I'm still amazed that Laura hasn't spilled yet) but I don't mind since they're cute. We were kinda worried the plan wasn't going to work but Clawdeen walked in blushing and we knew it did 😌 (they're fucking adorable bro please 😭)
Let me know if you want to know anything else! I love talking about my MH DR 🥰

I had some people here I talked to in the dms and thought they are really nice and we have a lot in common and geographically it's not impossible to meet up. Even if it doesn't need to be a date (even though maybe it can become one if you really click that way) it might just be nice to become friends in rl.
I know that just you get along online doesn't mean you have to click in rl (as friends or more) but it's worth a try and if not you had a little trip to where ever it was you met up and got to know a new city.
I just never dared to suggest it, because I always thought the other might think I'm some guy who wants to lure and kidnap them or whatever...
Would you think it would be a terrible idea?
I don't think it's a terrible idea! But you're definitely right that getting along online doesn't have to mean getting along irl. Idk if other people feel that way too but I get kind of anxious at the thought of meeting tumblr people in real life, it's a bit irrational but I guess you never know if they'll actually like you in person since tumblr and just typing in general can be so different if that makes sense
I think if it's genuinely someone you get along with quite well, you could test to see if they'd be open to meeting up. You could even ask if they've ever met someone from tumblr in real life, that could be a way to start it. But if you're suggesting meeting up, things to always keep in mind are a public location and maybe having a friend come along? Or at least give them the option to bring a friend, even if it's just to feel safe. And maybe if there's an occasion like you're both into football you could suggest meeting up at a game which is pretty casual really and you could even decide there whether you'd want to hang out more after.
