Was reading Branch’s page on wiki fandom and found this (which made me rly sad)
“Permanent physical deformity.” Oof. Ouch. My heart-
But THEN
I saw that Floyd’s ears droop downwards too!!
Out of all of the bros, theirs are the only ones to droop downwards, which is SUCH a detail to me because it could mean two things 1. Floyd also lost his colors for a time off camera= youngest-gray-bros solidarity or 2. They just designed Floyd that way to be the most similar to Branch- which is SO CUTE in and of itself. So yeah that’s it that’s the detail

an unforeseen side effect of my boy discovering the power of friendship, and the fact that emotions and human connections are good actually, is that it comes with simultaneously discovering that he's at least lowkey attracted to two types of people exactly: those who project confidence on the outside, but are sweet, soft, and in need of comforting on the inside (not entirely unlike a frightened animal), and pretty men with long, brown hair looking at him through lowered lashes with big, dark eyes.
a downside to that is that his newly found friend group is half one, half the other, and Gale kind of sits in the exact middle of the Venn diagram like an appealingly plump toad on a rock.
Look at him. The thought behind this face is very much an ".... oh, I'm not indulging this thought. I'm burying this so quick, and so deep, that it suffocates immediately."

Introducing: Ghost
If he sounds familiar, that's because I've actually used AI in the past to showcase what he might have looked like when he was alive, since there are only a few photos of white coyotes and most of them are gory hunting pics and I wanted to give him a little dignity.
Ghost's coloration is a bit darker in these photos than in person, but they did capture his markings pretty well. He was sold to me for $50 as part of a group of red phase coyotes, and I don't think the seller realized just how rare this coloration actually is. Luckily I saw the listing right after it was posted and snagged this beauty before anyone else could.
I originally did not plan on naming him Ghost; at the time, I had a running theme with my coyotes of naming them in Drow. Yinn = tooth/fang, for example. I had a few different ideas for him, but for some reason I kept accidentally calling him 'Ghost.' And this wasn't a GoT thing, for the record: I've never been a fan and hadn't watched the show or read the books.
For about a year this went on, and eventually I realized he just wasn't going to take any of the names I had in mind for him, so I settled on 'Ghost.'
Like Yinn, I suspect there's some dog in Ghost's lineage. I remember hearing that there was a small population of them in Canada that were the result of a Golden Retriever getting loose and mating with them, so maybe he's one of their descendants? I've seen photos of one other live white/gold coyote in the USA that were taken well after I got him, so I know there's at least one running around out there.
It's not as easy to see as with Yinn, but he actually has some similar markings, including a white-tipped tail!
He's one among my favorite animals in my collection and even has his own spot in my room on my tree stump ottoman. I like to have him 'resting' somewhere cozy. I've done some reconstructive work on his face to try to smooth the muzzle out a bit more, too.
