What’s myr’s daily life like at the foundation? Know you've talked about her working with animals
Here's a general overview!
Myriad doesn't travel as much as he used to as a field researcher, mostly interacting with onsite anomalies rather than those in their direct environment except in cases where it's required.
He changes sites every few months, but hates planes, so tries to sleep through flights.
Usually he'll go through tests 2-3 times a day depending on how extensive the care is for each subject, what he's scheduled for, and what tests are being run.
Aside from work, Myriad has a moderate amount of free time, but having his special interest woven into his job means that spending time with it still feels blended with work.
So he comes up with new pranks to break the monotonous loop. He hates feeling stuck in a loop. Her therapist says that "doing something new" doesn't have to go that far, but she thinks it does.
That's Myriad's typical days at the Foundation :.]

Update because @the-red-planet-mars said that it would be a good way of motivating me
I have started planning my English homework but it is really boring and I don't want to do it. Genuinely, please motivate me to do the whole entire thing because I really don't want to ask my teacher for an extension. I know she would probably give it to me, particularly because I have two of my GCSE papers that morning, but I have asked her for so many extensions this year and I would feel so bad if I asked her for another one. Why are English papers so boring though?
I have updated the whiteboard with my 'Aeneid' translation.
I have found a Quizlet with the entire vocabulary list necessary for the Spanish GCSEs and I have created one with the vocabulary relating to 'The Aeneid' that I will need for the End of Year exams, though I might have to update it soon.
I just did an Italian listening practice paper. I genuinely disagree with the mark scheme but I got 39/40 anyhow. I technically transcribed one of them incorrectly but I rushed that part and will be more careful tomorrow so we won't count that.
I started planning what I will be saying for my French oral, particularly regarding the picture, but I will be planning practice questions after I have done my two Italian papers tomorrow and I will just casually ignore the fact that the reading paper exists because it is not too bad and I have it on Friday anyhow. I will probably do a practice paper, but not now is not the time, despite it being more tempting the writing one.
I still desperately need to practice my Italian grammar and then do a practice writing paper, since thus far I have only done my mocks as practice. I should probably research Virgil and also actually do my English homework, but that is a problem for later. If you could possibly motivate me, without just casually spamming the comments, I would genuinely appreciate that basically pretend that there are the same rules as last time.

B'Elanna, Neelix, Tuvok and Chakotay needed to star in an episode where they just talked about their different beliefs and approaches to spirituality/religion. Paired off and all together. I need to gain more insight. I need characterization and I need it to be messy.

Rabbits are not beginner pets. There is a fuckton of research that needs to into owning rabbits. But here's some general advice:
You need to neuter and spay your rabbits. Rabbits are extremely prone to cancer (their evolutionary survival tactic isn't to be sturdy, it's to proliferate like crazy). The majority (yes, majority) of female rabbits will develop uterine tumors if they are not spayed or bred. Male rabbits must be neutered for similar reasons. This also helps behaviorally, as male rabbits can be a nightmare around other rabbits (especially other males) if not neutered or spayed. They can do serious, permanent bodily injury to each other. Rabbits can be very vicious. They also pee everywhere and spray. 👎
You need to check their poop regularly for health and consistency. This will often be your first sign that your rabbit is unwell, dehydrated, ill, etc. Rabbits hide their illness extremely well and only begin to "look sick" at near-death, in many cases. You will also have to check for very, very slight behavioral and mood changes and visit the vet regularly. It is better to be safe than sorry. What appears to be mild lethargy could be pneumonia.
Rabbits can and should be litter trained! Paper litter is best. Wood shavings can be inhaled and cause respiratory issues. Some rabbits do well with hay, but others will have a party and throw it all over the place or eat soiled hay (its normal for rabbits to eat their poop, directly from the source to redigest, but old poop and urine isn't great). If you use newspaper shreddings ALWAYS look for ones that use ingestible ink.
Adopt, do not buy from pet shops. But if you already did, you need to get your rabbit's sex checked again. It is very difficult to tell the sex when rabbits are young, and pet store employees will often get them wrong. Have them checked at the vet if they're still little; or if they're at sexual maturity already, you can check yourself (it's obvious when they're older because Balls).
Rabbits need a LOT of space... Like a lot. Petsmart cages are torture, unless you're using them as a litter box (even then, just buy plastic trays from the dollar store. Lifesavers.) It is best to let them free roam, but if you can't, making a custom cage out of storage cube grids and something sturdy for the floor (or just the floor itself) is a great option. If you go this route, they need daily exercise time, and you should look up appropriate size guides.
Never use grid flooring. If you have hardwood, lay down a towel or blankey so they have somewhere to rest their feet and won't develop sores.
Keep their area free of flies at all times. Flies can kill rabbits if there are enough of them via Fly Strike.
NEVER. FUCKING. LEAVE. YOUR. RABBITS. OUTDOORS.
It's best to change their litter most every day. But again, if you don't have the energy to dump it out that often, you can always just use a fresh litterbox from the dollar store and throw the whole last one away lmao.
Rabbits are social and like friends!
Contrary to popular belief, a rabbit's diet should NOT be pellets! It should be hay (timothy is good. Avoid alfalfa unless they're babies). They will not be able to grind their teeth down if they eat just pellets. They should be given greens daily. Do not give them iceberg lettuce (it makes them gassy).
Root vegetables like carrots are actually kinda junk food for them, but it's a myth that carrots are their favorite food; a rabbit's favorite food is the banana! They lose their absolute shit over bananas. Be careful giving them too much fruit, fruit is to a rabbit what candy is to humans.
Water bowls, not bottles. Those can damage their teeth and discourage drinking (which leads to dehydration).
ALWAYS have a packet of Oxbow Critical Care formula in your fridge. If your vet is closed and your rabbit is not eating, you will need to force feed them in the meantime to prevent G.I. Stasis (which can kill them rather quickly). Crit care is basically a powder with food, vitamins, and minerals you mix with water to make bunny baby food. Many rabbits will straight up eat it out of your hand if you mash a small piece of banana into it! Makes life easier.
Rabbit hidey houses are required. Rabbits can be scared to death. They need a place to hide. If they are spending a lot more time in their hidey house, they may be stressed or sick.
Oftentimes they like toilet paper tubes more than expensive toys.
Try not to make pop noises around rabbits. They hate fireworks. Sounds like their little danger stomp :(. That being said, if they bite you, you can tap the floor once with your palm to communicate to your bunny that you didn't like that.
Rabbits can have attitude especially the smaller ones. Mini lops, my beloved little divas.

god i just thought of the post i saw on here that was somewhat bad writing advice to never quantify anything because it would lead to readers getting immediately nitpicky about the figures (altho this is true) anyway i was just reminded of the single best quantifier in a novel ive ever read. where a character is called six balls because he weighed six balls when he was born. how much does a ball weigh? well that is never specified. a ball weighs as much as 1/6 of six balls when he was born. hope this helps!

in b4 95% of all websites in june 2024 announce that "for security" they will only work with browsers that use manifest v3
E: "Oooh I'm just gonna use Vivaldi." "I'm just gonna use Brave 😏"
You damn poor pitiful fools! Vivaldi is chromium! Brave is chromium! Edge is chromium! Opera is chromium!
Blink, avast, falkon, Samsung, epic, yandex, and whatever basic "internet" browser your phone came with, all chromium!
Anything on iOS ever, now, is safari (including firefox, brave, vivaldi). If they're chromium, they're limited. If they're safari/webkit, they're limited by apple (y'all already had your extension apocalypse two years ago and now have to, like, install and use three local VPN servers in a trenchcoat that call themselves an ad blocker but still break the *shit* out of a ton of professional work).
If you used Firefox 3+ years ago and it was slow or whatever, there's been a complete rebuild and it rules and is mature and stable. Firefox Android allows extensions, including ublock origin! Marketing and business and research wings of big businesses *do* care about 2% of users, if it can even come back to that.
I wish there were other options, but there aren't, really.
This, legitimately, will shape the rest of your digital lifetimes, however long that is.

imagine Fig asking Ayda if she'd still love her if she was a worm and Ayda takes it the wrong way thinking Fig will turn into a worm soon. This leads to Ayda doing extensive research on how to care for worms. One day Fig comes to the compass point library and notices an empty terrarium and asks Ayda about it. Ayda is bashful but answers,"It is for you. If you become a worm, I will give you the utmost care. I will mist your terrarium. I will put vitamin powder in the soil to keep you healthy. Your well being is most important to me. Even if you become a worm." Fig is touched and almost in tears

Updates to AO3 "Mythology" Fandoms
Hi AO3 users! You may have noticed that recently, fandoms previously canonized as "Mythology" are being updated to "Religion & Lore". This renaming project is part of a wider ongoing process on AO3 about respectful treatment and naming of various religions, spiritual beliefs, faiths, and collections of folklores belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition. This includes both major and minor religions, as well as reconstructionist, ancient, and modern religions.
In the coming months, the term "Mythology" is being phased out of canonical fandom names. This is because of its potential for use as a disparaging term, and the way in which it is used primarily for religions which are already under-represented. Since "mythology" has connotations of being fictional or inferior to the religious beliefs of the speaker or writer, and is unfortunately used in this way by some, the decision has been made to replace this term with something that the Wrangling Committee believes is more inclusive and less derogatory.
After extensive discussion between individuals from varying religious backgrounds and beliefs, including wranglers representing the various fandoms which were being covered, it was felt that "Religion & Lore" was an appropriate and neutral way to describe the bodies of faith, belief, knowledge, and tradition associated with many of these religions which were ancestrally imparted and regional in nature. It is also hoped that this will decrease ambiguous or confused use, allowing people to more accurately describe their works and find works in which they are interested moving forward.
The use of "Ancient" in many of these fandoms' names reflects that these countries still exist but now have different predominant religions or spiritual beliefs. For example, Ancient Greek Religion & Lore (as Greece is now a predominantly Christian country) or Ancient Egyptian Religion (as Egypt is now a predominantly Muslim country). Because "Norse" does not refer to an extant country, region, or culture, it is not necessary to specify that it is historical or ancient in nature.
The names of these fandoms will also have the native language piped, if the English-language demonym is significantly different from the native-language demonym or if there is a culturally specific term based on consultation with individuals who speak these languages as a first language. We hope to give representation to the language of the source culture by doing so.
Each of these changes has been and will continue to be carefully researched and discussed with traditional knowledge keepers and researchers from the cultures represented in the fandoms under discussion.
Many religions face the issue of texts being written long after their events occurred. Unfortunately this is something which is shared across many religious fandoms; AO3 seeks to treat these religious fandoms equally. Care has been taken in researching characters relating to these fandoms, and character tags will be canonized or made a synonym on a case-by-case basis. Fandom tags that are currently synned to the Ancient religious fandoms have been checked as thoroughly as possible to ensure that they are not referring to modern folk tales, and where possible such relatively modern folk tales are canonized as their own fandoms.
(From time to time, ao3org posts announcements of recent or upcoming wrangling changes on behalf of the Tag Wrangling Committee.)

also like adopting pets from rescues nowadays is so hard the applications are wild. “what do you do for a living?” male girlblogger “do you rent or own your living space?” neither, I leech off my mommy “if renting, can you provide written approval for your landlord?” my mommy wants me to get another little cat because she’s a little afraid I’ll kill myself if I don’t have a living creature depending on me “list every animal you’ve owned in the past 10 years and where they are now?” I do not think you should hold the now deceased goldfish I owned as a 13 year old against me, if anything they taught me to do extensive updated research on animal husbandry and made me value animal life. it’s a very sensitive subject to me. “do you promise to keep your pet up to date on all vaccinations and provide veterinary care?” let me put it this way, I tried to get my cat vaccinated against rabies again two months too early because it scares the hell out of me. I made my mom take my childhood cat to the vet for excessive sneezing and it turned out he just inhaled cat litter that day “pay the nonrefundable $70 application fee” actually I think I’ll just go check under dumpsters for my next cat
