It’s Friday December 13th 2019 which means 30 years ago an artist was born. Tonight, Taylor Swift celebrates her 30th birthday and I could use this post to talk about how much she’s influenced me in my life but since that’s nothing new to my post and so I don’t sound like a broken record I just want to say that the speech she delivered tonight for Woman of the Decade was an empowering moving moment that I hope if anyone, especially women are inspired to continue to use their voice to speak up for all women in EVERY industry. We can make a change and it really does start with one person. I started listening to @taylorswift when her first album came out. Saw her at the state fair, saw her open for Keith Urban, and then didn’t miss a tour she’s put on. I literally grew up with her. So many moments of my life are intertwined with her because of songs and albums and concert nights. As a kid, it was lyrics that drew me. As an adult, I can see just what kind of amazing human Taylor is (and of course, the lyrics too 😉). I could literally go on and on about how much and why I love her, so I’m just gonna say that I’m immensely proud to be an obsessed fan. Keep on doing whatever the hell you want, because you absolutely deserve it.
