I really, really would enjoy if someone would do the meme with qPhilza and the Enderking in his head, you know, the one where someone asks what they want to eat and the Enderking says in a voice only qPhilza can hear "the souls of the innocent" but qPhilza says out loud "a bagel". Pls. It would be funny. Plus it feeds my optimistic hope for a long term plot where qPhilza does manage to wrest back control essentially trapping the Enderking in his head and subsequently has to weather all the Enderking's attempts to break free and take him over.

not tonight kitten daddy is attempting to wrest control of the cosmos from the very gods themselves in an act of hubris that will have him remembered as a traitor to the world and a blasphemer to all that is holy, a being consumed by a desire for power hitherto unseen in the mortal realm, a scourge of the divine and a master unto life itself. yes i saw the meme you posted in the group chat it was very funny. why does it matter if i didn't laughing emoji react it i just told you it was funny. okay well you don't magic wand react any of my posts in #arcane-texts and everyone else does so you're sounding like a hypocrite right now. can we talk about this later i'm kind of busy.

Ask meme: Hidan/Ino
For the "send me the rarest pair you can think of and I'll tell you if I ship it and how I think it can work" ask meme
Do I ship it? I could be convinced to ship this one, I think.
How it can work: It's actually not that they're both loud, conceited, competitive and convinced they're right... although, yes, Ino seeing so much of herself in Hidan is kind of fun in a schadenfreude-y way.
I think there's some startlingly coherent shared and contrasted themes going on between these two. In terms of their skills, both of them are basically one trick ponies—but for each of them, it's a hell of a trick. They both focus on wresting control of a body away from its owner, and then forcing them to act against their own interests, which is such a specific thing to have in common. But they come at it from such different directions.
I don't know if I feel it's romantic, exactly, but I do think there could be a lot to get into between these two, especially if you really lean into the concept of Jashinism as a religion that sees human connection forged through suffering.
Without wishing to spoil too much of a thing I've been working on, here's an excerpt:
------
"What happens if someone kills him?" Hidan wondered, twirling his kunai around one finger. "While you're... inside him?"
He said 'inside,' like he knew it to be the deepest of intimacies. It was, but Ino did not like to think of it that way. And she certainly did not like to think of Hidan thinking of it that way, either.
"Why?" asked Ino, warily.
She needn't have bothered being so guarded, because Kakuzu answered him instead:
"A technique like that... She perceives all his senses as her own. If the shock doesn't kill her, she might return to her own body. Slowly."
Hidan leaned forward. He hadn't looked away from Ino's face at all. "The shock, huh." He raised his eyebrows at her. "Well, what if you knew it was going to happen?"
Her brow furrowed. "...What?"
"Don't play stupid with me," he complained, like this was a completely reasonable line of questioning and she was only being recalcitrant. "If you knew, and we killed him—could you feel it, and come back still?"
A cold shiver ran down her spine.
"Um," said Ino. The answer was 'yes,' but she didn't think it would be, uh, super smart to tell Hidan that. "That would be... really risky," she said instead.
Hidan licked his mouth. His eyes were all pupil and his lips were glossy and wet. He leaned in closer. "Yeah?"
-------
There's a lot here that could be a bit sexy from a certain angle! But it's also an interesting gen vibe.

@aetheryic asked:
“Perhaps if you would stop shouting at me for one second, you would notice that I am packing.“ pov divorcing nero OK IM DONE U ♥️♥️♥️ pov divorcing nero becomes infinitely difficult to stop him from going NUH UH // ask meme // accepting
Nero will not stop shouting at him for a second. Or he will. He does, crossing his arms and leaning back to glare at Cid and the bag he's packing with great distaste. This idiot. Thinking he can do that. Again! There are rules in this arrangement. "What, you can't just leave." That is because Nero must wrest back control and Cid can try and pry it from his teeth only after he's dead. "I obviously noticed you were, and it's a good thing, too, as I'm kicking you out." Cid can't divorce him if he divorces Cid first. That's what matters, keeping control here, and Nero is obviously in that and very good at it.
Fucking asshole. Nero's still bristling at him, no attempt to do anything other than worsen the situation.

For the Dark Urge past life asks:
4 & 15!
(Sorry for the delay in sending one back!)
Ask meme here (and not at all! Thank you for sending one <3)
4. Do they speak casually or do they try to adorn their speech with frills? Do they maybe even dare to curse?
Younger Kass went ham with the performance of extravagant language. When she was much younger (early teens and whatnot) it was an attempt to wrest back control during the periods when she and Heron were living on the streets, trying to overrule people's expectations of her, and then the melodramatic aspect of it continued when she was introduced to her heritage. She probably had a period of overdoing it with the thees and thous and thines because she's the daughter of a god!! She should be speaking above these mere mortals around her! (that phase didn't last long)
But she enjoys talking circles around people. She loves to have people underestimate her, as a fat woman, and assume that she can't be confident and clever and charming (and sexy).
Everything changed when the fire nation attacked when Bhaal came back, and her confidence shrivelled. She became less of the witty assassin and more of the living weapon, and there was less talking involved overall because she desperately didn't want to draw attention to herself anymore
And she swears like a sailor because swearing is not a sign of an lesser intellect, Enver
15. Bhaal handcrafted Durge. Do they enjoy and worship their appearance, or did they have a rebellious phase, trying their best to change their Lord Father's grand design?
Kass goes back and forth. Again, it's that pivotal moment of Bhaal's return which changed everything, but younger Kass was incredibly defiant and didn't care who saw her. She loved attention. She loved dressing up and wasting all of Daddy's money on fancy outfits and jewellery and swanning about at parties in the Upper City as the mysterious femme fatale. She had a thousand costumes, a thousand personas to play.
Then Bhaal was resurrected and he had no use for that aspect of her. She was his avatar, his bloody hand, and she was made only to enact his will upon the world. Suddenly she's wearing practical black and baggy cloaks that hide her figure. She's not wearing makeup. The most she ever dresses up is when she has to be the High Primistress of the temple, and that's ritualistic and formal and has nothing to do with her as a person
Essentially, Daddy came home and she entered her depression era (decade)

More dream journaling.
This one was really fucking intense, and I feel pretty comfortable calling it a nightmare even if everything was fairly mundane.
It started off being about on vacation with the whole extended family. It was to be a kind of last hurrah before my immediate family moved to a different country. As has been the problem lately, my mom was causing tons of problems. She was ordering people around and getting mad at people for doing things she asked of them. Eventually it reaches a head, and I go off on her about how she has ruined any chance of this being a good time. In addition to being a completely unreasonable control freak, she has utterly forgotten a bunch of the things she has done and said. And it goes beyond selective memory, (which has long been a problem in dealing with her) it now is clearly dementia.
In all the time it takes to wrest control from her and make the required arrangements for her to be given the care she needs and to stop her from doing any more damage, the vacation has ended and it has fully eaten into the time I needed to pack. In the days leading up to the move, I start having dreams (I have had multi-level dreams long before Inception made it into a meme) about being a soldier in an armed conflict.
The experience is about as bad as it can be, with awful mental conditioning, being completely unsupported during combat, the dehumanizing aftermath where we're given cheap trinkets made with slave labour to signify our deeds. And to top it all off, we weren't even paid in money for our time served: we get paid in spices, pigments, and tokens that can be exchanged elsewhere.
I eventually wake up (from the dream within a dream at least), and start working on trying to frantically get things squared away for the move. As I'm working, I see a bunch of stuff from my early life that I had completely forgotten. And as the memories start coming back, I begin to wonder if the dreams of war were in fact memories that I had suppressed. This is something that has happened to me IRL, and I'm keen to disprove the dream being real because so many awful things were done to me, and done by me.
As I randomly search through my possessions for something to either prove positive or disprove the dreams were real, I start to remember more of the war. Our last operation had been a complete clusterfuck, with many members of our unit being permanently injured and more than a few outright dying. As I more and more desperately try and find anything to prove it didn't happen, a final detail clicks in my head: the person most adversely affected by PTSD was given one final order. Kill the remaining people of our unit should anything come to light about our mission.
At this point I am just throwing out most of my possessions to try and save time and get things moving because I am now fully afraid for my life. I can't even tell anyone about my fears or ask for confirmation about my time served because that may be enough to sign my death warrant.
Eventually I make it onto the flight and it's a long one, I think from Canada to Australia. I dream once again, but this time it's benign anime robot fighting bullshit. I wake up again and move to head to the bathroom, and I see the dude who had been given the order to kill us. I try not to freak out but once I'm again seated I desperately search to see if anything I have in my carry-on can be used as a weapon to defend myself.
At this point I finally, mercifully, wake up for real.

Now hear me out- and if this sounds dumb, y’all are free to boo me. No shame in that.
… A modern AU/wrestling AU. Kind of like WWE, AEW, etc, BUT with all of the Hercules characters? (Yes, I’ve been into WWE recently and the thought just popped into my head LIKE????? Idk WHY it did, but it just did).
No no no omg that’s an awesome idea!!!
Legit I have so many modern-ish AU ideas for Hades and Persephone it’s crazy lol, I have
- Modern AU/Office Romance AU
- Music Industry AU
- University Professor AU
- Highschool Teacher AU
- Social Media Influencer/YouTuber/TikToker AU
- Music Band AU
- Movie Star (kinda like the House of Mouse AU but with a more modern twist) AU
- Nightclub AU
- Zombie Apocalypse AU
Lol anyways, no that’s an awesome and interesting idea! I’m not very big on wresting myself, but omg seeing Hades as a wrestler with those big ol muscles and those washboard abs! UGH MY LITTLE SIMP HEART COULDNT TAKE IT AGJSHDJDHD 😍❤️
Also all I can think about are those wrestling memes like “IT’S ME AUSTIN! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!” and that “wrestler math” meme but with the freaking Hercules characters and I’m freaking dying because I love those memes 🤣

6 + 7 for Xarrai and Ieriyn from the ask meme you reblogged?
hiii anon thank you 💖
6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?
xarrai:
idk man astarion works pretty fucking hard to do this and it does not work LOL the thing about xarrai is that they barely have a moral compass at all and so what little they DO have they are incredibly dedicated to. like the only real moral they have to speak of is Tyranny Is Bad - though like, there's wiggle room there (in their opinion). at what point does something become tyranny? how much power is too much? i feel like they're constantly living in that grey area honestly so it may not be as hard to get them to do something against their morals if you kind of treated it like the frog in the boiling water analogy. like what astarion did (offered to share the power of the vampire ascendant with them) would not work because they can go "hm no that sounds like tyranny. hard pass." (tho he was also lying and they knew that) but if someone were to, say, encourage them to take power slowly and carefully by winning people over one by one and systematically ruining their lives to keep them in line, you may be able to get them a few ruined politicians deep before they were like "hey wait a minute...."
i rly need to expand on the weird mind games they've been playing with the elites of the upper city for the last 15 years to make this answer make any amount of sense tbh but that is its own can of worms. essentially for them the line between tyranny and simple control/influence is very thin and always moving and they are always always always right up against it out of some sort of baked in compulsion to seek safety in power whether they use that power or not.
ieriyn:
ieriyn has already crossed that line. killing people at all period was against his moral compass. BUT that wasn't him being convinced so much as him seeing the reality of the situation this whole tadpole business has put him in which i think is kinda different. and see the thing about ieriyn is he's not stupid but he is trusting and the right person probably could convince him of a lot. i'm cooking up some sort of plot wrt to his lifelong mentor manipulating him into. something (undecided what yet) that's going to play into the personal quest i'm giving him (bc i'm unwell and need all my tavs to have their own special personal quests) but that's like the exact thing i'm talking about - ieriyn trusts easy and he trusts deeply and while he does have a strong moral compass he also has a deep need to please the people he cares for that makes critical thinking harder for him sometimes.
7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
xarrai:
well when i made xarrai they were just some dude. they were just a stoner bard who moonlighted as an expensive fssw and that was... it. lol. they didn't give a shit about much of anything (still kind of true, though they have Some Things They Give A Shit About now) and absolutely didn't want to be any sort of leader. and now they're. well. an ex-banite cultist with a shitload of childhood trauma and an abstract sense of self trying to navigate cycles of abuse and trauma AND a stoner bard who moonlights as an expensive fssw.
ieriyn:
i initially planned to multiclass him into a warlock with the idea that he made this pact Very Recently to try to wrest power/inheritance money away from his older siblings but that seemed 1. too power hungry and i already have xarrai and their weird relationship to power and 2. too cool. ieriyn needed to be a little cringe. he needed to be a boyfailure. he was also originally meant to be part of a co-op campaign with my partner for their spawn astarion romance run (they r doing an ascended run rn) but i just didn't think his arc would work as well if he had to share responsibility like that because, again, i wanted him to be kind of a failure esp early game and the tav ramza has planned for their astarion romance is actually competent and i didn't want to bog him down with my sweet sweet fail son.
