You didn’t understand how some people on the internet can be so . . . mean. Although there have been countless of fans cheering you and Tom on, it didn’t make it any less hurtful that there were still a ton who weren’t scared to be open about how much your boyfriend could do better.
It’s ironic; you think. They’re claiming they’re looking out for Tom, yet totally disregarding him and his girlfriend as human beings? Those weren’t real fans.
The reason for them hating you so much? Just for simply being with Tom. Everybody wanted him, that was your crime.
Everytime you got lost in your thoughts about this topic, Tom knew. Boyfriend instincts, he called them, but really, he was just a caring and observant person.
You tried not to break down over it, you really did, but a girl could only go on for so long before it all bursts out. Luckily, Tom pulls you right in, telling you to let it all out.
Although the world was filled with childish and hurtful beings, Tom Blyth was still who he was, a gentleman, attending to your every needs.

Ok besties (all three of you) time for a big brain moment
I’ve been seeing the concept of cowboy coryo floating around and I must say I am intrigued. Not only because I want to see that wet napkin of a man deal with roughing it in the great outdoors, but also because I started watching Billy the Kid (yes because of Tom Blyth SHUT UP I KNOW).
Yes I know he looks good as a blond but there’s something about him with dark hair that just makes men go fucking nut nut. But that’s besides the point
I want y’all to imagine this: you and coryo do actually manage to escape the district. I’m a firm believer in pussy power and that if you manipulate him back enough, you can make him think escaping is his idea. One problem that might arise though, is the fucking beacon that is his blond tennis ball head. Now I’m as much of a fan as everyone else but unless it’s the dead of winter, that shits gonna be easy to spot. Remember, regardless of his family’s current wealth, he came from an incredibly prominent line in the capitol. Not to mention that he basically became government property when he became a peacekeeper. Somebody’s gonna go looking for him. The capitol might not be what we see in the original trilogy, but it’s still incredibly advanced. If they can figure out how to genitivally modify animals, I’m fairly certain they can piece together a search party.
So what is there to do besides dye his hair? Let it grow back and actually have it match his eyebrows and facial hair (they didn’t cover that up enough). And even though we don’t know what’s beyond panem, I think there would still have to be wildlife. We see in games like the last of us that when society collapses, the earth takes back whatever man made structures existed and grows around them. I’m choosing to believe that animals would come back. Specifically, wild horses. I think you all know where I’m going with this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boom baby.
I highly doubt that panem is the only place let with a human population, we’re far too resilient for that to be the case. So eventually I’d bet there would be some form of human settlement to take them in.
Questions? Comments? Concerns? Elaborations?
Please I’m not a writer and I’m already behind on my finals someone else see this vision and take up the banner pls.

Summary time
Tumblr media
The gang decided to investigate a Selunite encampment for Eirwen to ask for ways to combat Shar and the influence of the Shadowfell and maybe clues regarding her lost memories. The Selunite outpost was....well rundown. Everything was dirty, tattered and no Selunite symbols. When questioned they literally just said "DO YOU SEE HOW WE LIVE?"
Tumblr media
2. I think you guys can tell that it was actually a Sharrian enclave instead. Blythe used Dominate Person and charmed one of them and they gave us a guided tour of the facility. The basement had a bunch of bodies and relics, which we looted of course.
Tumblr media
3. The party (Eirwen and Arameia) refused to leave unless we took care of them because they're hurting innocent people. Blythe couldn't possibly give a fuck cause she's not getting paid, and Raha just kind of was ambivalent. Then Blythe had a lightbulb moment and told them to UNALIVE themselves (Yes I know Dominate person doesn't work this way but we found it to be funny enough to just go with it)
Tumblr media
5. Afterwards the gang went back to camp and hung out for a bit. Had a long discussion about whether or not it matters if Eirwen regains her memories because at the end of the day, she's still herself. Who cares who she used to be, and if that information hurts her...why not let sleeping dogs lie?
5.5 I FORGOT but at dinner Lorelai decided to be bat form as it's easier for her to get cozy and warm up and she had her blood in a goblet (Yes we all thought batstarion was too adorable). Arameia however thought it was EXTRA adorable and asked her to sit her in lap. She did.
Tumblr media
6. Raha made breakfast the next day - Rice Porridge with nutmet and cinnamon with side of plums and nuts...it was an Elven dish from his childhood - unfortunately it had milk in it and Eirwen is lactose intolerant.
Tumblr media
6.5 ANOTHER THING I FORGOT - Arameia introduced her tiny little miniature dragon she found in her coinpurse (yes. that's his horde. pocket change) and Blythe went Wild because of the amount of chemical reagents she could acquire from the little guy. The little guy in question was sweating bullets and attempting to flee.
Tumblr media
7. We went to an Elven village to restock but turned out that it was ransacked by most likely humans, judging by the weapons left behind. Raha himself was the most despondent out of them all since he had lost his family due to a human raid, his entire village facing a similar fate and nothing remained except some survivors that had to relocate.
8. Arameia asked Raha to translate something she found and it was clear that Raha did not speak Elven naturally, and it is his second language. It was revealed that Raha never learned Elven as a child, due to the proximity of his village to a large human settlement most spoke common instead of Elven to be able to communicate with the humans. Unfortunately this caused a lot of friction with the Elves that took in the refugees. Facing a lot of ostracization and othering, Raha had left this other village as soon as he could, and learned Elven on his own, causing him to be fluent by no means anywhere near a native speaker.
(I shit you not tumblr wouldn't let me post this until i did the border. I don't know what it has against Forlorn Raha)
Tumblr media
9. Raha and Arameia had a heart to heart at the fire, as Arameia also lost her parents when her village was wiped out (hers by a pack of werewolves, hence her deep seated hatred towards them). Raha could sympathize, but he doesn't hate humans, due to the hate he faced from other Elves. He believes that it's simply a product of having power, and chooses to remain solitary.
He is thankful for meeting everyone but he can never trust crowds or big populations ever again, preferring to stay clear.
10. Lorelai bullied Raha for getting laid

Best Fictional Characters to date (not ranked)
1. Percy Jackson: a man who would jump into Tartarus just to be with me ... GOD YES, 12-year-old me is screaming right now. Plus do not forget the golden retriever energy Percy has around Annabeth.
Tumblr media
2. Gilbert Blythe: Imagine getting rejected by your crush of 10 years in the late 1800s when asking her hand for marriage. Most men of that time would perhaps yell at the woman, or threaten to force her hand in marriage. But not our Gilbert Blythe. This man took the rejection well and constantly supported Anne's hopes and dreams while loving her from the sidelines and never telling her so, till she told him that she loved him first. And she did she loved him to death. (slight spoiler: they have seven children together)
Tumblr media
3. Nick Nelson: Never judged Charlie for his sexual orientation, protected him from his bullies, never mistreated him, always stayed beside him no matter what the situation (webtoon readers will know what I mean), and was just the perfect fucking boyfriend overall. Ps: the beach scene.
Tumblr media
4. King George the 3rd: OK, I might be a bit biased, but cmon have you seen this absolute perfection of a human being. He ALLOWED himself to be tortured just so he could be with the woman he loves. Was the kindest and sweetest person who allowed his BRIDE the option of not getting married if she did not want to... RIGHT BEFORE THE FUCKING WEDDING!!!!! (I did not add the under-bed scene below because I did not want anyone to cry... you are welcome. )
Tumblr media
5. Prince Wilhelm: THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE COUPLE OH MY GOD!!!! I FUCKING LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! Not only was this guy the absolute fucking green flag, but he was so deeply in love with Simon that he was ready to give up the fucking crown for him!! And the way he cared and loved Simon, even though he was unsure of his sexuality was amazing. Most tv shows would just immediately portray the character as homophobic but, Young Royals has done an amazing job at portraying the teenage mindset, especially when it comes to sexuality.

my issue with littlest pet shop: a world of our own
hi! as you can see i have a bone to pick with this show, but i'm going to be criticizing the overall premise rather than individual episodes (i can't bring myself to watch any). nothing exactly provoked me to post this, it's just something i felt like ranting about because i always found it pretty strange and sort of like a slap in the face towards those who liked the 2012 series. very long post incoming 😭
first of all, the entire concept of AWOOO (im going to refer to it as that because the title is way too annoying to type out each time) in context of lps' brand as a whole doesn't make sense. hasbro refers to it (in a backhanded way to jab at 2012) as "a pet-only world made by pets, for pets." this premise alone is contradictory to the entire lps brand. it's called littlest pet shop, not littlest animal universe. the 2012 show made this work by having an actual pet shop with a daycamp area like you would expect irl. yes, the show had humans which i agree sometimes took over a bit too much, but it's meant to be a city-based slice of life cartoon. the main cast are actual pets, they have owners, they have their own homes, like any pet irl would. that's... why they're called pets. whatever AWOOO was trying to achieve just completely defeats the purpose of a pet shop existing. i have no doubt in my mind that hasbro felt so inclined to sweep 2012 under the rug by rushing this half-assed reboot out as fast as they could to satiate all the "bring back the old lps" commenters. there was literally nowhere online you could view content of the 2012 series in ANY site, without the comments being FLOODED with "bring back the old lps." it got to a point where fans were borderline harassing the hasbro employees, recording themselves calling them on the phone for views and clout, and encouraging others to do the same. and guess what? it worked. instead of continuing working on the show while easily selling toys that fans were more in favor of, hasbro thought it would be a better idea to just completely abandon 2012 as a whole and then proceed to act like it never even existed. there was no good reason for them to not continue producing the show (iirc it had pretty good ratings and was one of the most popular hub shows next to mlp ofc) while also selling toys that would cater to both newer and older fans (granted they probably can't sell multiple generations at a time, but still). so ultimately, they hurried this little reboot to get it out there as fast as they could and passively shit on 2012 while talking about its premise. seriously? "no humans getting in the way anymore! we have a WHOLE NEW lps cast with no big headed humans named blythe or her ugly friends! no more communication barriers, because thats no fun! isnt this show just SO much better than 2012?" they were so ready to just throw the 2012 series and everything related to it in the trash. AWOOO was not made out of love and respect. it was made as a way for hasbro to try and get their fans back by proving just how much better this reboot was in such non-discrete manners. they thought of the quickest and easiest way to regain their audience and ran with it, without ever thinking about how it completely diminishes what all the previous generations stood for.
i was one of the very few people who loved the 2012 lps series since it premiered. being a child on the internet in the early 2010s definitely brought down my happiness when watching the show because of the overwhelming negative feedback it was getting along with the rebrand in general (something im VERY nostalgic for). regardless, i continued to tune in whenever it was on tv and i saw myself growing up with the characters. to say that this show had potential is an understatement. the producers intended to make more seasons and you just knew they wanted to keep it going (this was confirmed btw). they weren't in a hurry to get something better out there, until the "bring back the old lps"ers finally got their way. but honestly? it's not completely unheard of for large companies to eventually cave in to the public opinion if it means they'll make more profit. they were desperate, and it was definitely showing.
one of the things i have the most issues with is how hasbro proceeds to COMPLETELY ignore everything regarding the show nowadays. as some of you know the show's 10th anniversary was last november, which i and many people had participated in a large art collab to celebrate and honor the show's legacy. want to know what hasbro did to celebrate? nothing. absolutely nothing. what's even worse is that michael kopsa, the voice of roger, had passed away very shortly before the shows 10th anniversary. and guess what? complete silence. that's just incredibly disrespectful to be completely honest. someone who brought his best work to your show and others on the same network (if im remembering correctly at least) and was such a joy to be around, and this is how you thank him? not a single piece of acknowledgement, all because you're too scared to ever talk about 2012 again because of the scary older fans that persuaded you to pull the plug on the whole thing? you weren't even willing to make one little post offering your condolences? oh because you just can't ever mention that show ever again, it'll spark those negative comments just like before. and you've made it abundantly clear that you care more about profiting off these people than having some kind of self awareness.
i apologize that this got so heavy, i've always wanted to properly write down my honest thoughts about this whole thing because ive been unhappy with it for years and years now. if you like AWOOO, i don't care. i wont give you a hard time for liking it, because the show itself isnt inherently bad. just what went on behind it is what bothers me so much. the fact that hasbro can completely ignore their own creation for what... 7 years now? is beyond my comprehension. they can keep pretending it never existed, but small groups of people online have been rediscovering this show and remembering how much they loved it when they were younger. you had a good thing going here hasbro, it sucks that you had to completely abandon it. but i think i can speak for a few people that this show has always and will always hold a special place in my heart and my childhood memories. even if we can't get more from it, we shouldn't forget to appreciate and cherish what we did get. and nobody can take that away.

please please PLEASE tell us what you think the easy boys' dnd classes would be! i agree with dick being a paladin and nix being a rogue 100% but i'd love to know what your take would be for everyone else!
Caveat: I'm not as well-versed at DND classes just yet (mostly because I haven't actually encountered a lot of them, and I've only ever played in 5E) so these are probably not the most creative of builds but I did my best! Also! These are classes, not DND races! Just assume everyone's a variant human... and also that everyone has the Soldier's background... Also don't come for me about which edition rules or game source I'm going by, we're playing it fast and loose, everyone.
I did say Dick was an Oath of Redemption Paladin-- mostly as a joke, because of the whole healing-Blythe's-combat-blindness thing. But now that I think about it, it doesn't really fit him very well. Something about Dick could drive him to be very vindictive, I think. He's definitely very petty. Story-wise, since he's so young in-show you can explain this away as a young Paladin picking a path and learning the ways and the discipline that comes with it... But he can also very well be Oath of Devotion Paladin, since Dick is very big on honor and duty. I also see him being Oath of Glory, mostly because something about Dick always strives to be the best, and that man has a lot of self-discipline.
You know who else is a Paladin? Ronald Speirs.
Listen. I know people would automatically think: oh, Ronald is a Rogue. And while that's what I think Ron would like to think of himself as (and maybe he multiclasses-- though I have no idea how that'd work), this bitch is a fucking Paladin through and through. Oath of Vengeance? maybe, but not quite. Oath of Conquest? oh, yes, that fits very well. Listen, a Paladin does not garner divine power from their Faith in their god-- that's a cleric. No, no, a Paladin garners divine power from their devotion. Try and look me in the eye and tell me Ronald Fucking Speirs wouldn't have the ability to divine smite someone simply because he has strong opinions about something. You can't. Did ya'll just forget *points at the interrogation scene in episode 10.* GIRL. He can multiclass, of course, but I feel like he's like. Locked the fuck in, ya know?
Or if you really wanna lean into the strange-and-off-putting vibe, we could borrow from Critical Role and he could definitely be a Blood Hunter. Ronald would be the kind to become a Blood Hunter. Order of the Lycan, because he's from DOG company, and I like to think I'm funny, but also that'd play excellently with both the almost animal-like way he moves and thinks + his care for easy as a whole (pack).
Ron could also be a monk. But I like him better when he has a weapon in his hands.
Lewis is a rogue though, and mostly because he's an Intelligence Officer, but also knowing his family background, it fits. I do love the idea of him being an Arcane Trickster, mostly because in my mind he could definitely multiclass as a Shadow Sorcerer (because let's be real, New Jersey would be the type of place to house a Shadow Sorcerer bloodline) because of his Nixon name + Charisma, which he has in spades. But only until like... level 3 or 4 because Lew would be the type to forgo magic-- since it's not something he can precisely control + it's his bloodline, so it's not like he worked for it-- to opt for something he can control and work toward perfecting. But another subclass he could fall under is Inquisitor Rogue. That's literally his job description.
Or Lew could be a College of Whispers Bard! That'd be fun, too, especially since Nix doesn't do much combat, but he would have a ton of Bardic Inspiration.
Wouldn't it be so funny if tiny Harry Welsh was a Path of Wild Magic Barbarian? I think it would be funny. Idk if it would fit, mostly because I think he's a Fighter, but it would be so funny.
David Webster, this bitch would be a College of Lore Bard for sure. But I did think for a bit that he might've been a School of Evocation or Order of Scribes Wizard (who multiclassed Bard), just for the high intelligence, low wisdom joke. It would be so funny if he was School of Evocation though-- can he cast spells? Yes? Gracefully and subtly and with finesse? Oh, gods no. He's a mess.
Web and George Luz are probably the only Bards in the whole company. George could be either College of Eloquence or College of Swords........ but if you want to up the angst potential, how about College of Spirits Bard? Oh, he watched his friends die in front of him? Let's make his survivor's guilt WORSE by making him have the ability to talk to ghosts!!
Shifty Powers, obvious. Ranger, of course, and in numerous subclasses, too. Though I did toy with the idea of him multiclassing as Arcane Archer, but then I figured that's more for Earl McClung, ya know (because, historically, he was a better shot than Shifty-- even Shifty says this)? The class in itself is fairly weak though, so I imagine Earl'd multiclass Arcane Archer (Fighter subclass) with a Ranger, though what kind of subclass is still up in the air for me, too. Truthfully, much like Shifty, he could be any, so take your pick. I'm partial to Horizon Stalker; but Hunter/Monster Hunter would be good, too. Also? Just imagine casting Arcane Shot on a gun instead of a bow-&-arrow. Magnificent.
Shifty and McClung could also be Circle of Land Druids, but then they wouldn't be as proficient in combat, so we'll stick with Ranger.
Eugene Roe could be a Life Domain Cleric, of course. But I feel like that's a bit too obvious. Grave Domain Cleric, maybe? Way of Mercy Monk sounds more appropriate for his character, since he's easily the kind of character to strive for inner spiritual balance, the way monks do-- let's just pretend he focuses more on healing than he does combat. Though both these classes do have the abilities to go on the offensive.
Ralph Spina strikes me as a non-magic user healer, though, so I think he'd be a Thief Rogue with a focus on the medicine skills + an extensive Healer's Kit, since thief rogues have like... more object interaction (I think?) per turn than anyone else. Though that would also fit Eugene, too, if you want non-magic user!Eugene, since he's often described as having a sixth-sense for when people need him, then appearing outta nowhere + the whole scissors thing. And the looting for supplies.
Carwood Lipton could go like... 3 ways. Fighter, Cleric, or Monk. I'm partial to him being a Light Domain Cleric, though, since that's the first thing that popped into my head. He could multiclass as Bard too, for the Bardic Inspiration, but idk, there are other subclasses that have the Suggestion spell in their back pocket, and he would use that extensively in Bastogne to keep morale up.
Malarkey is a Wild Magic Sorcerer. Mostly for the angst potential. Can you imagine him losing control of his magic when Skip and Penkala die? I know I shouldn't torture this man, but alas, it's just too good.
I also think Joe Liebgott would be a Divine Soul Sorcerer, though. That literally popped into my head first thing the second I saw this ask. He'd have some Healing Word by Level 2, and I think that works best for scenes like the one where Tab gets stabbed and also the one where he's comforting Tipper.
I can't shake the image of Artillerist Artificer Pat Christenson, Skip Muck, and Alex Penkala out of my head. They're on machine guns and the mortar rounds, respectively, so it fits for me.
......... an evil part of me wants Buck to be some sort of Warlock, he just hides it very well? But, again, that's mostly for angst potential. Realistically, he'd be a Fighter and/or a Barbarian. But a Warlock in the Military, though, wouldn't that be something? Of course the military would never allow it, because the Patron would take precedence above all else, but who says he can't hide that by claiming to multiclass as a Wizard? Idk how that would help in any way the plot, but the vibes are immaculate.
Everybody else, though, to me are either Artificers, Fighters, Barbarians, Clerics, or Monks, of course with multiclassing in between!
......... uh. yeah! that's it!

Exams are coming up. Instead of studying, I wrote some silly thoughts I’ve had about my LPS humanizations. Because that’s more fun!
Disclaimer, these are just my personal perceptions of them- feel free to disagree on anything.
Oh, and. Since a couple of these mention their appearances, here’s a link to the post i made with their designs: https://www.tumblr.com/itzpris15634/735150326041247744/first-time-posting-on-this-account-here-we
Ready? Let’s go!
-First, let’s mention their sexualities. Sunil is pansexual, Zoe is bisexual, Pepper is also bisexual (with a preference for women), Penny is asexual and heteromantic, Vinnie is also bi (with a preference for men), Minka is aroace, and Russell is demisexual.
-All their colored hair is all natural. They just live in a world where human hair colors varies a whole lot more.
-Musical instruments? Ooh, yes! The ones that are most into music are Sunil, Penny, and Zoe. Zoe sings (pff, duh-) Sunil can play guitar- both electric and acoustic, but he prefers electric since it sounds cooler. Penny is learning piano. As for the others? Vinnie did drumming back in high school (he and Sunil would even play together sometimes) but he doesn’t as much now. Minka likes the smaller, portable instruments- idk how to describe it, lol. The stuff like triangles, maracas, tambourines… Meanwhile Pepper and Russell just aren’t into playing music that much, but will cheer the others on.
-Russell’s canines are a little sharper and longer than normal. The others like to joke that he’s a vampire because of it.
-Penny has a collection of stuffed animals. Her favorite is a blue-purple panda (which is literally just the actual panda Penny Ling from the show lol-)
-Minka has a fascination for bugs. Going out and observing them, collecting them, studying them- girly just finds bugs interesting.
-Contrasting with Sunil- he has a big big fear of bugs. And Pepper loves to exploit that fear. Most of the time its just playful scares involving plastic bug toys. Or pretending a bug is on his neck or something. While to her, his reactions are funny, he doesn’t think the same.
-In terms of money, Zoe is the most well off among everyone. Her parents are super rich and have spoiled her throughout life. So she does the same to her friends. She’ll just buy them extravagant, expensive gifts out of nowhere. Of course, everyone is friends with her beyond that, but it’s a neat little bonus.
-Pepper is super particular about smell. She owns several different perfumes, colognes, deodorants, sanitizers… Which one she picks depends on her mood for the day.
-Oh hey, more Pepper. When she gets nervous, she’ll sweat. A lot. Kinda adds onto the previous headcanon listing; she’ll use all this stuff to hide the odor. Sometimes she’ll go overboard though, and mix up different clashing scents together. so it becomes kinda strong and overwhelming.
-Vinnie can be super indecisive. Say for example, going to a restaurant. If he’s already been there many times before and already knows his favorite, then perfect! He’ll just go with that. But when it comes to new places… oh boy. He’ll take frickin’ forever to decide. So he’ll usually tag someone along to pick for him in cases like that (usually Sunil). He’ll probably end up liking it anyway.
-Minka wears crocs, right? And you can put lil jibbitz on crocs, right? Well, each jibbit on her crocs represents each of her friends- a banana for herself, a book for russell, a sparkly magic wand for Sunil, the same flower Pepper wears on her suspenders, a bow for Penny, a microphone for Zoe, and the same gecko foot print on Vinnie’s jacket.
Aaaaaand that’s about all I’ve got for now! Should I do more? Maybe even with more characters. Blythe? The other (humanized) pets? Do tell.

My reread of the Aogg series has been an absolute pleasure. Here are my thoughts on the first three books; I think of these as being their own set, because they tell the story of Gilbert and Anne's relationship. The only other book that focuses on them and their relationship consistently is AHOD--which I think will be deserving of its own post because tonally it's slightly different, more mature due to a more mature Anne. (Anne of Windy Poplars, I love you, but again my memory is mostly letters to Gilbert about other events--mayhaps I shall eat my words).
Anne of Green Gables
You know, I never revisited the first book because it wasn't my favorite--but reading it, I can tell why this one is the classic. Anne is a lovable eleven year old, the characters are all to a one delightful, the antics believable yet entertaining, and the conflicts all pointing to an overarching story of growth and love. I love how Marilla only can tell Anne that Marilla loves her after Matthew's death, and that Anne only becomes friends with Gilbert after hearing of Marilla's past with John Blythe. I love, above all, the moment where Matthew softly tells Anne to keep a little of her romance. What's remarkable is how, although most readers are in very different circumstances than little Anne, it's so easy to understand where Anne is coming from--because she tells you! "Wouldn't you be this dramatic if you were me?" "Oh, Marilla, you’d be excited, too, if you were going to meet a little girl you hoped to be your bosom friend and whose mother mightn’t like you," shivers tiny Anne, and the reader instantly understands, even if not eleven, or not a little girl, or not on PEI in the late 1800s--why yes, that would be nerve wracking! We even see this in Mark Twain's quote about Anne being so lovable, a man who most definitely was never an eleven year old orphan girl. Despite my love for LM Montgomery, there are off key chords in all of her other books for me--but this book sticks the landing every time. The ending sentence is my favorite of all of LMM's endings; "God's in his heaven, all's right with his world."
Anne of Avonlea
My love for Mr. Harrison was reinvigorated. I had forgotten about him completely and shamefully, and I'm delighted to have rediscovered him. That being said...this is a book where I tend to like specific chapters instead of the book as a whole. Even as a child, I remember flipping to my favorite chapters rather than rereading the book all the way through, and even as an adult (deep dark confession), I skipped pages more than once. My favorite chapters include the Mr. Harrison chronicles and the brief glimpses with Gilbert that we get, where Anne has to confront whether her daydreams are perhaps not true to life (and--importantly--that true to life romance might be better). I also, for one, love Mrs. Lynde and Marilla living together. Queens.
Anne of the Island
My primary thought: AAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD. I truly have little else to say. This is one I read so often as a child that the passages were familiar to me even now, over a decade later. I remember as a child when rereading, I'd read the first proposal scene with Anne and then immediately rush to the ending chapters where they get together for catharsis haha--if I didn't, I had to skip the first proposal chapter because ANNE HOW COULD YOUUUU. I love Phil Gordon so much, and I love Jonas even though he's barely onscreen, and I love Mrs. Lynde ominously fretting over whether Anne is going to marry, and I love Ms. Lavender frankly saying to Anne that she and Gilbert were made for each other. I also love the book's tendency to build up romantic moments and expectations and then deliberately pop them haha. LM Montgomery really showcases her ability to understand human's quirks and love them for it--while also laughing at them for it. I'm going to do a full post on this (and on LMM's genius for pairing contrasting personalities in a non-tropey way), but this is a good example of what I mean--because who of us hasn't been like ":(" and then enjoyed being like ":(".
Tumblr media
Oh, Anne! The only other thing I have to say is that it says a lot that I started this a few days ago, and I'm already three books in! The quality holds up even as an adult (as if I expected any differently). LMM dedicated Anne of the Island to me, and to you, and to all other girlies who love her work, and I very much feel her love in the pages.

Queer book recommendations/new books
Although it is sad Chain of Thorns was initially supposed to come out this week but didn't, there are plenty new books to read that I think many of you would enjoy to pass the time. Two of which actually came out November 1st, the same day ChoT was originally supposed to release.
Here they are!
Tumblr media
I'll start with a Taste of Gold and Iron, which came out this August. It's an adult m/m fantasy romance featuring prince Kadou and his body guard Evemer. After an incident with a powerful ambassador, Kadou has to prove his loyalty to his sister, the queen, and investigate a conspiracy involving counterfeit coins in a world where certain people have the ability to touch-taste precious metals with their finger. It's a slow burn type of romance between a prince and his body guard. I really liked how Kadou's chronic anxiety was depicted. Evemer, on the other hand, is very stoic and duty driven. He tends to be quiet. He can go entire days only saying "yes, my prince" and "no, my prince". The book has both their POVs and includes discussions about ethics and a very intimate (not necessarily sexual) bathhouse scene which may have inspired a similar scene in my Trojan war AU from Alastember.
Next up is a Marvellous Light and a Restless Truth. These are the first two books in a historic fantasy romance trilogy set in the Edwardian era. Book 2 came out this tuesday and I just finished it. The first focuses on Robin Blyth, a young non magical man who is accidently given a government post to do with magic, which leads to him finding out magic is real. The magic society would just erase his memory and replace him with someone who knows magic, except that he gets cursed by the same people who killed his predecessor, and now he and his grumpy magical coworker Edwin Courcey have to get to the bottom of the conspiracy and also undo the curse. The second book continues the investigation in the same conspiracy, but instead stars Robin's sister Maud, who accompanies an old lady on a journey from New York to England on a ship. Except the old lady dies on the first day and now Maud has to investigate who killed her with the help of a scandalous magician called Violet. These books are a lot of fun, especially book 2 had me laughing a lot. Be warned there's a lot of sexual content in this series, more so than the other books. Book 2 has a lot of emphasis on sexual self discovery and involves Maud buying a suitcase of what is essentially the Edwardian era version of very explicit fic.
I cannot tell you a lot about Ocean's Echo by Everina Maxwell because it just arrived and I haven't read it yet. Like a Restless Truth, it came out November 1st. But it's very pretty and I wanted to show it anyway. I don't know if it's good yet. I did read Everina Maxwell's first book, which is Winter's Orbit, the book the Stars Collide draws a lot of inspiration from. As far as I know Ocean's Echo is not connected to Winter's Orbit, but is set in a completely different part of the same universe, where some people have developed mind control abilities. I'll tell you more about this book once I've read it, but as of right now I'd definitely recommend Winter's Orbit and have high hopes for this one.
Finally, I have Prince of the Sorrows and Lord of Silver Ashes by Kellen Graves. I put them on top of each other on the picture because the cover of the first book won't fall flat and otherwise it'd look stupid. The first book came out in March, while the second just came out last week. It's an indie published m/m fantasy romance series. Right now there are two books out, the second one came out just last week and arrived today. There's going to be more of them, but it's currently not set how many, though I did read the author might make it an eight book series. I guess that depends on if people buy it? I haven't read book 2 yet, since it just arrived, but I did read book 1 and really liked it. Saffron is a human changeling living in a fae world, and he will be sent back to the human world once he gets too old, unless he can get an academic endorsement to keep studying there. He accidently learns the true name of prince Cylvan, a brooding fae prince, and makes a deal with him to help him remove the power from his true name in exchange for an edorsement. At the same time, other human servants are getting killed and Saffron has to find out what's going on before he's next. I'll probably have to reread book 1 before starting book 2 because I don't remember enough, but I'm excited where this is going.
I hope this helps and let me know if you want more book recommendations in the future or if there is anything specific you're looking for!

WIRED AUTOCOMPLETE. | TOM BLYTH
PAIRING. tom blyth x fem!actress!reader
SUMMARY. in which you and tom make a special appearance on wired’s autocomplete interview
installment of this au | recommend reading for more context
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Hi — we’re Y/N Avocot and Tom Blyth — and this is the Wired Autocomplete Interview!”
You’re both handed a white board, bigger than your face, and there’s a list of questions with some of the words covered.
“Do you want to go first?” Tom asks, giving you a small smile.
“Yes! I’m pretty excited actually,” you begin to peel off the first question. “Okay, first question: what was Y/N Avocot’s first role?”
You think for a moment, “well in terms of roles in general, my first acting role was very small and I believe it was for this ice cream commercial as a kid. I’m not sure if it’s still up but my mom had signed me up for it and they thought I was a really cute kid so they casted me.”
Tom laughs, “really?” He then retrieves his board from the crew. “Okay my turn. Why does Coriolanus Snow turn evil?”
That question makes you slightly giggle, because it’s so broad that it’s nearly impossible for Tom to narrow down exactly what it is that made Coriolanus suddenly switch. “I believe you should be asking Suzanne Collins, shout-out to her for making the entire trilogy and prequel. But honestly? I think he was always power hungry, and even though Tigris tried her very best to bring out the humanity in him, it was just never enough. Especially after Sejanus’s death, I think Coriolanus realized there was no going back.”
“Oh wow,” you say, very impressed with how he decided to answer it. “That was a terrific answer Tom.”
“Thank you m’lady.” You giggle at his antics, rolling your eyes jokingly.
“What role does Y/N Avocot play in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes?” You clear your throat, imitating one of your character’s iconic resting bitch face.
“I play Balleona Laurent, duh.” You joke. “Anyway, yes, I play Balleona, also known as Leona. She’s originally from the Capitol just like Coriolanus. They met at the academy and she automatically knew she had to have him. She comes from the Laurent family, which is a very very wealthy, well off, intimidating family that Coriolanus knows he just has to get into, which is why they start dating. I don’t wanna spoil too much of Leona and Corio in the movie, soooo you guys should definitely check it out!”
“Alright,” Tom adjusts himself in his seat, ripping off the paper for the next question. “Does Tom Blyth have a girlfriend?”
He pretends to think, which makes you bite your lip, suppressing a laugh. “Hmm, very complex question.”
“Oh give the people what they want!” You tease, “yes he does. He’s inlove with Jennifer Lawrence.”
“I am not inlove with Jennifer Lawrence!” He exclaims quickly, “although I greatly admire her work. My girlfriend is Y/N Avocot over here, sadly.”
“Sadly?!” You fake offense, “cut the cameras. I’m gonna beat Tom up.”
You peel away at your next question, the interview already being loads of fun for the both of you. “Is Y/N Avocot a good singer?”
Your head falls forward, and Tom’s automatic instinct is to catch you, not realizing you’re only joking. “Oh God, I hope so!” You say, laughing as you pick your head up. “I’m no Mariah Carey but I like to think I’m a pretty okay singer.”
“More than okay,” Tom chimes in, which makes you laugh.
“Aw, thanks Tom.”
Tom reaches to peel another question off. “Is Tom Blyth American?” This question makes you almost spit out the water you were currently taking a sip out of. “Well, a lot of people get shocked when I say I’m from the UK. I mean, is my American accent that good?”
“Guess so,” you shrug. “Okay next. Is Y/N Avocot in The Summer I Turned Pretty?”
You clasp your hands together excitedly, giving the camera a wide smile. “Yes! I play Maekella Fisher, also known as Ella Fisher, Steven Conklin’s love interest and sister to Conrad and Jeremiah. The first season airs out soon so please stay tune for that! I’m so excited to be apart of this amazing show with such amazing people.”
“I always come to watch her on set,” Tom says, “they’re all such funny and charismatic people. I swear I’ve became friends with everyone on Y/N’s cast.”
“Okay, my last question,” Tom peels off the paper, grinning. “Will Tom Blyth star in another movie soon?”
He smirks, eyes playfully looking into the camera. “Who knows? But I do know that something exciting will be coming out soon so prepare yourselves!”
“Way to tease the crowd Blyth,” you say, rolling your eyes. “Anyway! My last question, this was quick. What is Y/N Avocot’s skincare routine? Oh, I’ve been waiting for this one.”
You sit on the edge of your seat, and Tom finds it endearing that you’re so excited about something as small as this.
“First, I rinse my face with cold water and I dip my face in a bowl of ice and water for 3 minutes. Afterwards, I put on my dewy toner from Innisfree, it’s so smooth and nice. Sometimes I’m too lazy for this step but I also put on sunscreen, it’s important so I always remind myself to not forget— but I love to use Supergoop Unseen’s Sunscreen. I use drunk elephant’s bronze drops if I wanna go for a sunkissed look that day, but I usually don’t. And then I just shake my Tower facial spray and spray it all over my face. Usually, I touch up my eyebrows and do my eyeliner but that’s really about it!”
“It’s true,” Tom adds. “She asked me if I could go buy her the tower spray yesterday because she was almost out.”
“No need to expose me like that,” you say, clinging your arms onto his. “Well thank you guys for watching!”
“Thank you!” Tom and you wave at the camera, smiling brightly.

okay my first OC post was boring let’s change that (MAIN 4 SIBLINGS EDITION)
Aether Williamson (Age 34)
daughter of: Alejandro Williamson, Rebecca Williamson
mother of: Alexis Black (Deceased)
Description:
Aether is quite a horrible person, actually. She is guilty of tax fraud and evasion, murder, stalking and a lot more. Living in the town of ironvile, she does not enjoy her time there. Divorced from James Black after the death of their daughter (which was her fault) Aether moved away, finding an unclaimed plot in an unclaimed country that she named her own, Sleep Island. She runs a casino and is very much a scammer. After a fall out with a friend, and that friends death, she moves again, this time into literal hell. She builds a glass dome and grows some flowers, finding a peaceful life.
————————————-
Blythe Williamson (Age 34)
Daughter of: Alejandro Williamson, Rebecca Williamson
Mother of: Bloom Williamson (Deceased)
description:
you’d think one of these would be good people, hah no! Blythe runs a fashion company, where she pushes unachievable body standards onto young girls. She undergoes a lot of suffering after rejected by 15 different guys in high school because she wasn’t a stick figure, which influences her line of business. In a moment of sheer insanity after her daughters death, she gets into a fight with her husband Karl Smith and kills him with the kitchen knife (don’t fight in your kitchens kids). Supposedly prior to the murder of her husband, she was seen with a voodoo doll that almost looked like the infamous god of death. Blythe loses her leg to what she claims was an animal after following a cloaked man into the forest and begins to realise the wrongs of her ways, changing her fashion line to accept people of any body shape.
————————————-
Carlos Williamson (Age 39)
Son of: Alejandro Williamson, Rebecca Williamson
Father of: None
Description:
Carlos claims to be ‘god’ when in fact he is a rouge god like man. Carlos once stood at the side of god and was his right hand man until in a moment of despair and hopelessness he turned to Lucifer for help. A mistake that he will always regret. As payment, Carlos was twisted into what people call a human glitch. In immortality he knows will always be alone and in a violent search for the fountain of youth in hopes to destroy it and redeem himself, he found himself lost in the woods looking for a fountain that didn’t exist when he runs into a lost traveler. Carlos is kind of a dick, and is rude and snarky when it isn’t appropriate. He never redeems himself.
————————————-
Kyle Jones (Age 22)
Son of: Thomas Jones, Rebecca Williamson
Father of: None
Description:
Kyle is a rather simple and well kept guy, he steers a bit clear from his siblings, respectfully. He’s a rather big Indiana Jones fan and always wanted to go on adventures and hunts himself. So he decides to go look for the fountain of youth, destroy it. When he gets himself lost and lives in that forest for two years, he eventually meets a traveler who he swore looked like his brother but heavily ‘glitched’. Kyle eventually moves to Ironvile in hopes of reconciliation with his sisters, when he finds Blythe has been put into a mental institution (yes, they still have those) and that Aether is off the grid. He gives up and settles down in the eastern side of Ironvile.

What's your favorite vignette or chapter from TBAQ?
(My beaten and battered copy; this book groans audible complaints at me when I pick it up.)
Just one? 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I’ve been thinking about this since you asked it, and am still scrambling for a decent answer. I think I had an easier time ranking the Blythe kids. This whole book is so 🤌🏻, it’s total art. Someone, somewhere, maybe it was on goodreads, once essentially said that TBAQ is so good for Anne fans, because it’s like getting to spend a whole day with someone (someone you dearly loved) that passed away many years ago. And I think that totally rings true but ALSO, how often is it that readers get such thorough insight into the ‘ever after’ part of the ‘happily,’ where we see war (+ it’s aftermath of wreckage) and sorrow and death try to poke holes of darkness into joy, and then witness a whole family persist bravely into life together, with their aching memories. In the second part of TBAQ, the Blythes (Baker-Meredith-Fords) demonstrate what it is to carry on, even with such sharp wounds of the heart. They’re resilient. We see laughing, we see crying, we see guilt, and we see the embrace of what was inevitable. All this NOT EVEN beginning to mention the humanity and comedy and peculiarities of the Four Winds community around them (we’ve got ghost stories, grudges, canon pyjama references, various character crushes on both Doctor and Mrs Blythe, as well as their daughters, people annoyed with the Blythe’s influence, illegitimate children, middle life marriages), that Montgomery writes so well it’s visceral. TBAQ was my gateway drug into other Montgomery books, and it made me actually ashamed that I hadn’t read anything else of hers before that, because it was a discredit to her that I hadn’t.
I’m going to cheat a little and pick;
1. A HAPPY FAVORITE;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anne was a million years ahead of her time with this poignant and true sketch. And meanwhile, Gilbert McJokeyPants, probably feeling a little bit called out by these lines for yes, having always wanted to be Anne’s first and only (which, thanks to TBAQ, we know he is), and despite not being the subject of the poem (Anne says this was written at Redmond, which was prior to their engagement), decides he doesn’t much care for it. BUT, he still puts his hands in harms way to rescue the ‘nonsense’ from the flames, because to him, Anne’s work is still Anne’s work.
Honorable mention: (for the lol’s)
ANNE, trying to laugh; “Would you marry as quick as that if I died, Gilbert?”
DR. BLYTHE, really laughing; “Quicker if Susan would have me. Isn’t it about time for supper?”
2. A SAD FAVORITE;
Tumblr media
Of course it’s this. Like… of course it is. It’s sad for the very obvious reasons (Walter always ‘stirs the deeps’ for me, especially when he’s gone), but then it’s extra sad because we’re, timeline wise, steady on to WWII and the overall feeling is… what was all the sacrifice of WWI for? The one thing worse than WWI itself was the stripping the achievements (the cause, the reason) of the sacrifice of soldiers (those that lost their lives, and didn’t). To make it all fruitless? It’s an actual abomination. A blight on every soldier’s memory. To see a whole new generation suffer the same fates and ultimate consequences… utterly maddening. And it broke my heart all over again to read Anne (she’d be around 80 here) saying she’s glad, for his sake, that Walter didn’t make it back to see the continued nastiness of the world. I don’t quite believe her. 🥺 What’s more? That she’s only shared this poem with Jem, likely because he is, as he says, a ‘tougher brand.’ Excuse me pls, I’ll just be over here UGLY CRYING.
NOWWW, if you ever have the time, I would also love to know your favorites!!!

Ok I'm not finished with Foxglove, not even halfway there but I got theories!
I'm super sure Signa isn't Life. Blythe is. And this is not just because I'm majorly shipping Blythe with Fate no no actually that would cause more angst I wouldn't like that.
No it's because of few very simple reasons:
There were 2 tapestries that were out of Fate's control: Signa's and Blythe's. And while Signa's startet getting woven with the silver thread, it was only because she kept saving Blythe's life
Blythe literally saw the life slipping from one of her servants but never saw a spirit, an already dead person, while Signa is able to see spirits that are very well dead, strengthening her connection with her being a Reaper than Life
Signa defied her fate by choosing Death while Blythe defied her fate (with the help of Signa nonetheless but still) by LIVING
Fate said said the reason Signa drew Death close to her so many times is because of the fact that he had killed her in the past, but Fate literally created Signa to be Death's perfect match so of course he was going to be drawn by her. Now who drew Death in so many times last book and not because it was woven by Fate? Blythe. Blythe who almost died so many times. Blythe who Death just happened to choose by sheer coincidence to save. Blythe who's family was beginning to get surrounded by death.
Blythe's interactions with Fate are one of the reasons I ship them but also one of the reasons she may be Life. She's calm around him. Signa is always cautious or scared of him and she always mentions how she finds more calm in Death's cold embrace (no pun intended). Even others find him intimidating in his human prince disguise. Meanwhile Blythe is odly calm around him. She doesn't like him because he accused her father of poisoning yes, but she's never put off or intimidated by his presence. She talks to him naturally, unbothered, only keeping up pretences because he's a "prince".
And one of the biggest reasons why I think Blythe = Life is her reaction to the painting of Life. She was drawn in by the painting and I quote "Nearly lost her breath." When she truly looked at her. She wanted to get closer and inspect the painting. And when Fate asked her what she thinks of the woman (Life) Blythe told him that she looked like she wad great fondness in her but was sad and tired and even Fate was slightly surprised. She also immediately recognised the woman in the painting was the same one as in the marble fountain statue. Meanwhile Signa never even spared a glance at the painting.
Fate literally calls her "The girl who defied Death". Signa technically does die but just temporarily. Blythe is the one who defied death. Blythe always Lived. And in the narration it was said that if only Blythe looked up, she would have seen the threads of Fate and the only person who's ever seen the threads is Signa who jas the powers of a Reaper.
As I said I'm not even halfway done with the book, I'm only up till the chapter Fate tells Signa she "is" Life, but there are already so many hints! Also why else make Blythe a secomdary main character if she's not even that important? They could have done that since the last book.
Fate is just in his delulu era, thinking Signa's Life
I'm gonna be pissed if I'm wrong because it's very obviously but again it's just a theory
Edit: It was fairly obvious but my god this is how I feel
