YES.

Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark are easy good live action kids horror series. For something more modern, The Hauting Hour is like Goosebumps if it was higher budget and less cheesy (and I think it's getting a revival? Maybe?).

Monster House, Wendell and Wild, and Paranorman come with HIGH recommendation from me! They're genuinely fantastic and have a lot of heart.

The original "monsters are real" animated Scooby-Doo movies too! Tho the ones I liked most and found actually scary were Witch's Ghost and Zombie Island (especially Zombie Island).

There aren't a lot of horror ANIME for kids, but the original version of Ghost Stories actually wasn't bad (the gag dub is NOT for children). There's also Digimon, Tamers gets close to horror in the later half (Ghost Game is just flat out horror, but I am pretty sure the target for this show is young-mid teens specifically. It actually gets genuinely scary sometimes). The manga Zekkyō Gakkyū is EXTREMELY good and I wanna shout it out. It's an anthology series and is pretty easy to find fan translated online. Even tho it's aimed at middle school aged kids it can be extremely harrowing.

Also. Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. The books, not the movie. Scared me so much as a kid.

Eerie, Indiana is also a really fun older show.

At this point I'm just listing off a LOT fjiduxhdudu.

Tomie by Junji Itodas right i’m a tomie thot too :pensive: i realllly need to read more of junji ito’s works but on god the art + how he illustrates the characters + like…the actual Horror? Junji Ito’s shit is just amazing because he creates what you wouldn’t expect to find scary at the thought of, but it’s so abnormal that it’ll srsly jump u at the page? anyways. T O M I E !

Zekkyō Gakkyū by Emi Ishikawa I read this quite some time ago, but i found it was so??? unnerving lmao. It’s basically told in a shoujo-manga style art but I think that’s worse because of the sudden art style change when something bad happens? Each chapter ‘Screaming Lesson’ which then goes into a story. G O O D S H I T. Some chapters aren’t as creepy as others but it’s still p good.

Corpse Party by  Makoto Kedouin & Toshimi Shinomiya I’m p sure everyone has read even a bit of Corpse Party cuz it’s like…a classic tht everyone’s heard of. It’s not that good LMAO but it’s worth reading? I haven’t read it since I was like…13 lol But, it used to scare me back then. IDK I just think u should read it !

Sweet Home by Youngchan Hwang and Carnby KimI know you said manga and this is a webtoon but Sweet Home is BY FAR my fav. I’m caught up as it’s ongoing but it’s so good. You should use three episode rule with Sweet Home as it seems quite. Dead at the beginning, but trust me, it gets really good. Honestly one of the best webtoons out atm.

GANGSTA. by KosukeThis is one of my favourite mangas!! I’ve been reading it since 2016 or sth (but it’s not that long, just updates took a while bc the author got sick). GANGSTA is set in the city of Ergastulum and it has a very diverse cast, that touches on SO MUCH like…honestly it’s amazing. tw for…a lot of sexual connotations as one of the main characters is an ex-prostitute innit. And the chapter artwork sometimes:pensive:. idk. it’s HEAVY with emotion, ACTION and adventure. i love that shit. anyways!! read GANGSTA!!!

im also reading many webtoons ! and i might start reading Psycho Pass bc its my fav anime !!

Kuchisake-onna (口裂け女)

Kuchisake-onna es uno de los espectros con apariciones más recientes en Japón. Si bien, su origen se encuentra en el periodo Edo (1603-1868) durante un largo periodo fue olvidada hasta que sus apariciones se registraron a partir de los años 70s.

La primera aparición de Kuchisake-onna fue en 1978; a partir de esa fecha fue vista en mucho sitios, principalmente en Hokkaido y Okinawa. Para 1979 todo Japón conocía a Kuchisake-onna. 

Kuchisake-onna era una hermosa mujer casada con un samurai. Este, celoso y temeroso de que su esposa lo traicionara debido a su larga lista de pretendientes, la mutiló cortándole la boca, quedándole una enrome fisura. Cuando Kushisake-onna murió, su espíritu comenzó a vagar por las calles con una máscara blanca cubriéndole la herida. 

La leyenda indica que si ella se encuentra con algún extraño en la calle, le pregunta: -”¿Crees que soy bonita?”-. Si el sujeto responde que sí, ella se quita la máscara y vuelve a preguntar. Si el sujeto dice que no, Kuchisake-onna lo atacará con unas tijeras; si el sujeto dice que sí, ella lo seguirá hasta la puerta de su casa.

Versiones modernas indican que es posible deshacerse de ella si uno le responde con otra pregunta, confundiéndola de este modo. Si se le dice que hay prisa, ella se disculpará y se alejará.

Lynch. retakes their own style, after the dim and successful work made in the previous year with D.A.R.K. -In the name of the evil-, bringing out the ninth full release for them. In general it brings the typical energetic and powerful sound that this band always had, but with some avantgarde-ish things here and there (not fulfilling the expectations coming from the title), which didn’t diminuish the relevance of this release, from a band which is now passing a bad moment, because of Akinori’a arrest.

I admit that instrumental rock is not something which I listen to everyday (apart from some exceptions), but their style, well shown in the third album, is great and has an huge impact, with efficient melodies and rhythmical works, which will surely hook any new listener, as happened to me.

Tahun 1995 adalah tahun dimana film anime Mimi wo Sumaseba karya Studio Ghibli dan drama Jepang berjudul Aishiteiruto Itte Kureru yang menggunakan lagu Love Love Love milik band asal Hokkaido DREAMS COME TRUE menjadi Big Hit di Jepang. Di tahun yang sama beberapa bakal aktris berbakat pun dilahirkan pada bulan Februari. Siapa sajakah mereka? Berikut adalah 4 aktris muda berbakat yang dilahirkan pada bulan Februari 1995.

1. Tao Tsuchiya

Tao Tsuchiya adalah gadis kelahiran Tokyo yang dilahirkan pada tanggal 3 Februari 1995. Dia merupakan aktris, model, dan penari yang sedang naik daun belakangan ini. Tsuchiya terjun ke dalam dunia akting setelah mengikuti audisi drama pagi di stasiun televisi NHK bersama 2020 wanita lain pada tahun 2005. Saat dia masih menjadi anggota AKB48, dia pernah menjadi korban kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh seorang pria bersenjatakan gergaji yang ingin membunuh beberapa anggota grup tersebut di tahun 2014. Selain penyanyi, dia juga aktif di dunia perfilman. Tahun 2018 ini dia mendapatkan beberapa peran seperti di dalam film Principal, The Lies She Loved, Koi no Shizuku, dan Sensei Kunshu. Bakatnya sebagai aktris telah dilirik oleh berbagai produser dan sutradara, bahkan dia telah memiliki kontrak untuk drama Idaten yang akan disiarkan pada tahun 2019.

3. Haruna Kawaguchi

Model dan aktris yang berada dibawah naungan agensi Ken-On ini dilahirkan pada tanggal 10 Februari 1995 di Goto, Nagasaki. Dia terkenal berkat perannya sebagai pemeran utama wanita pada film Ouran High School Host Club, POV: Norowareta Film, Zekkyō Gakkyū, dan Say “I love you”. Kawaguchi telah membintangi 13 film dan 30 drama sepanjang karirnya. 4. Mayu Matsuoka

Mayu Matsuoka adalah aktris Jepang kelahiran 16 Februari tahun 1995. Dia telah aktif menjadi pemeran drama, film, hingga pengisi suara. Film yang menggunakan suaranya diantara lain film Pokemon The Movie XY&Z, A Silent Voice, Jurrasic World dan Cars 3. Aktris cantik ini juga beberapa kali masuk ke dalam nominasi penghargaan film sebagai Best Supporting Actress untuk film Chihayafuru. Matsuoka juga mendapatkan penghargaan Best Actress untuk peran utamanya di film Tremble All You Want pada tahun 2017.
