ZonSaifah: Saifah helping Zon through a anxiety attack(and already being a pro at it)

After sorting most of the drama of the previous year out, Zon found his anxiety much more manageable. Or it could have been Saifah's gentle encouragement to talk to a doctor. Either way, Zon found the incessant buzz of his anxiety to be a low hum in the background noise of his life now as opposed to the constant screeching in the forefront of last year.

But after a late night of video games and a poor midterm exam grade reveal, Zon found the low hum to be slowly growing in volume. Taking deep breaths that felt shallower the more he tried, Zon quietly moved to the music practice room that he and Saifah frequented. By the time he arrived, his deep breaths had become short and quick and his heart was racing. Before Zon could lock the door, he felt familiar hands cover his eyes and pull him backwards into a familiar chest.

"Slowly now, my best Zon," Saifah whispered into Zon's ear. "Come sit down with me and breathe slowly. Do you have your meds with you?" Zon could feel his racing heart slow down a notch as Saifah guided him to the couch and he nodded. "Okay, wait just one moment."

Saifah's hands were removed and Zon opened his eyes in time to see Saifah's engineering smock be tossed over his head. The dark was as comforting as the smell of Saifah's cologne and Zon bit back the retort which had immediately come to rest on the tip of his tongue. Zon dimly heard the sound of a zipper over his own breathing and realized Saifah was digging through his bag.

"W-Wait... Sa-Sai-"

"Shh, I found it, here." Saifah pressed a pill into Zon's hands with an open bottle of water. "Slowly now." Zon tossed back the pill and water with surprisingly steady hands and Saifah took the bottle away after. "Do you want to sit next to me or..." Zon felt Saifah sit down before he crawled over into Saifah's lap and buried his face in Saifah's chest. "Okay." Saifah began to rub circles into Zon's back. "Just focus on me, breathe with me."

Zon knew it would still take time before his medication kicked in, but Saifah's directions were comforting to follow, causing the anxious buzz to slowly retreat until Zon could hear his own thoughts again.

"Better now, my best Zon?" Saifah lifted his smock to check Zon's face. "Do you still need a few more minutes?"

Zon pushed the smock away, but kept his face on Saifah's chest. "M'fine now."

"Panic attack over?"

"Mm."

"Do you feel up to eating lunch?"

"Nuh uh."

"Want to take a nap until your meds kick in properly?"

"Please?"

Saifah wrapped his arms around Zon and slowly shifted until they were laid out on the couch. "Sleep." Saifah ran a thumb along the skin under Zon's eyes. "You stayed up last night, huh?"

"Couldn't let... Tanthai brag... Overwatch win streak..."

"Next time you should invite me to your team so we'll both kick his ass and you won't stay up again."

"Mmm..." Zon then gently hit Saifah's chest. "You're not allowed to have Hanzo though."

"Ugh... fiiiine."

BL/QL Ask game : The Ugly, the Bad and the Worst

Thanks for the tag @clara-maybe-ontheroad! I'll be honest and say that a lot of the notoriously bad BL I haven't even watched bc I don't waste my time on that shit, so this took me some time, but let's do it:

Worst soundtrack / weirdest song choice in a BL

Honestly usually not one to pay attention to soundtracks, but was never a big fan of all the singing in 2gether.

Most cringe-inducing line (cute)

Probably gotta go with most of the lines by the cast of Secret Crush on You. They are cringey and stupid but I love them. But specifically this line by Nuea makes me laugh every time because STUPID:

Most stupid decision made by a character

Ummmmm Theo deciding to be with Akk at the end of Enchante????? Boy, RUN.

Worst plot line

TharnType. All the way.

The most problematic show you've watched

Never actually finished but, but legit that's why I couldn't finish it because it was so fucking problematic: TharnType. Is anyone really surprised?

A show people love but you find bad

Oh there's a lot of these, but the two that people might disagree with me most on is Never Let Me Go and Big Dragon. I see a lot of love for those shows and....they didn't do it for me. At all. Just...woof.

Will also add Lovely Writer onto this list. I really just couldn't buy into Gene and Nubsib and Nubsib was a really immature/annoying character. Also, all those sound effects??? Truly grates the nerves.

A show people find bad but you will defend

I'm gonna go with a few of the other answers I saw and say Secret Crush on You and My Only 12% listen: yes, SCOY is not everyone's cup of tea and yes, MY12 has a terrible plot twist ending but, the acting is great, the chemistry is great, the characters are great. I adore them, so I can forgive a few flaws. I mean, look at SantaEarth in all their adorable glory:

A show that is just objectively bad but you enjoyed it

I mean....I don't know that it's objectively bad but I've read a lot of criticism on the filming of Ghost Host, Ghost House, which is fair. It's not as quality as other BLs in terms of filming but man, that show got me in my feels.

A bad show that you kept watching because you were intrigued/fascinated

Tonhon Chonlatee, mostly because I adored Khao in it and MikeToptap's side couple. But that show was an absolute dumpster fire. I just wanna know how AiNhai dated for so long under the same roof as Tonhon without him finding out??? Truly the biggest plot mystery. Then again, Tonhon is also the biggest himbo in all the land.

I would also say Lovely Writer. I just couldn't get into it and found it really lackluster but wanted to see how it ended.

A bad show that you kept watching because you were horny

I actually never finished it and still have to - but 100% Love in the Air. There's really....nothing but sex in it so. Yeah.

I mean this is the majority of the show:

Okay, honestly I don't even find it to be a bad show, but some people DO, but I would say Love Mechanics b/c i adore Vee as the messiest bi in all the land (and I adore Mark too so really the main couple is why I watched). But there should be a counter of how many times Vee makes this face because it's a lot and it's so cute:

A bad show that you would still recommend

Again probably Love Mechanics b/c I enjoyed it - but WOOF that friend group is hard to fucking watch. Beware. Not many of them are actually likeable but VeeMark is truly *chefs kiss* amazing to watch. The whole messy cheating web of love interests is also very fun (not for them, but for us).

The character that ruined a show the most

I'll do you one better and choose two characters that are also a couple: ZonSaifah in Why R U? Let's be honest, it should've been the FighterTutor show.

Most awful character that you hated

I cannot, in good conscience, forgive Thua for outing Akk and Aye in The Eclipse. Any character who has ever publicly outed someone is on my shit list. But Thua - man, fuck you. I'm of the opinion they should have punched him and Kan should have left him.

Most awful character that you loved

Out of FINISHED shows (bc we know my answer would me alllll the mofos in Only Friends otherwise), I gotta go with Vegas (KinnPorsche). My man is a sadist. But he got that Trauma that makes his character so scrumptious.

A character that wasn't awful but that you just don't like

Nubsib from The Lovely Writer. He's not awful but he really does give me the fucking heebie jeebies.

A hero that should have been a villain

I agree that Palm from NLMG would have been a great villain. Or even Nueng. He had the chance to go so dark during his fight with his uncle but no, he had to take the stupid moral high ground. Pfft.

A morally bad character you're into

A morally bad character you're not into and you wish people would stop being into

Same show as above - but Xue Yang from The Untamed/CQL. I love a murder boy just as much as anyone else, but pls don't romanticize him. It's not cute.

The show that disappointed you the most

Haha yikes gotta go with Enchante again. Really had high hopes for it and was watching it during its run and got so excited each week for it - but the story line got too dragged out and Akk ended up being a manipulative POS so, it was a huge let down.

The Worst Show of Them All Because

Based on all the ratings I've given in my excel sheet, the lowest rating I have (that I've finished) is for Enchante. Sorry ya'll. I just cannot deal with that ending.

I'll say it again: Run Theo, RUN!!!!!

It’s been MONTHS and MONTHS since the series ended and I still feel as strongly about the kiss as I did when the ep aired. It’s honestly such a perfect kiss to me. It was spontaneous and soft and sweet and vulnerable. The fact that Type allowed Tharn to kiss him in a public place BLEW MY MIND! SIR I THOUGHT YOU JUST WANTED TO BE CUT BUDDIES???? CUT BUDDIES DO NOT SHARE GENTLE AND ROMANTIC KISSES! This kiss tops both of the Ice Kisses to me. Yea I said it! Also Tharn’s confession BEFORE the kiss! My boy was whipped and he was going to do all he could to get the man of his dreams.

The Sofa Kiss from WHY R U? The Series

Can I say, despite the pandemic fucking up filming, this series was amazing???? I love that they incorporated FighterTutor’s sexual tension coming to boiling point. This whole scene was perfection. They rolled around on that sofa for a long time, kissing til their lips turned red and grabbing dicks. It was like, they both knew exactly what they wanted, but also they knew a conversation needed to be had. I still stand by my statement that Tutor was more than willing to go further that day. I’m sure he would’ve been down for that D first and then confessions after. This was TWO YEARS of pent up sexual tension coming to head. They’re both horny af and they both know they have feelings for each other. It’s clear. But I think they needed to hear some validation before either of them could believe it was true.

THAT™ SaifahZon Kiss

Y’all know the one I’m talking about! The one we weren’t expecting but was HOPING for. The one that fucking killed us all! The one that showed us just how much they loved each other. Excuse me? That kiss was perfect? Literally the most perfect kiss two people can share on this planet. THEY FUCKING PROMISED TO ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER! THERE WERE TEARS! SO MANY EMOTIONS WERE DISPLAYED! AND HELLO!? THERE WAS TONGUE! Mii2 delivered such amazing chemistry on screen too. I was crying along with Zon when they shared this kiss, fucking clapping, and yelling. I wish we had gotten more of SaifahZon when the series was airing. They deserved to have their full story told and we deserve to witness it.

OKAY I’M DONE! I could go all day choosing perfect kisses. There’s some gems out there.
