wen kexing, that silly guy, from the show for the character ask game

First impression:

The minute I saw this scene

I knew I would love him. Any character that wear's an outfit that nice while murdering people with a fan and drinking from a flask? That's a guy who is tailor made to catch my attention lol

Impression now: I LOVE HIM IMMENSELY. I can (and have) yelled a lot about WKX.

Favorite moment:

I have a few but the one that comes to mind first is WKX 'let's-fuck-around-and-find-out' breakdown post Four Sages of Anji deaths (and the subsequent wenzhou break-up that resulted in drunk pining. Excellent storytelling lol).

Idea for a story: I've always been fascinated by the idea of wenzhou meeting pre-canon in TYK but I've never really thought about WKX and ZZS meeting again in WOH prior to ZZS leaving Tian Chuang. What would that look like considering their past history? Would they recognize each other? Would they pretend not to? (Does WKX try to take out Jin Wang?)

Unpopular opinion: In show - I don't really like that he doesn't communicate with ZZS the way he does in the novel. Him hiding so much only led to more and more problems as the story progressed. In fandom - I have beef with fics where he basically reads like WWX. They have vastly different personalities and life circumstances. WKX is putting on an act when he first meets ZZS. Some of it is real but most of it is exaggerated. WWX is just like that lol.

Favorite relationship: WENZHOU 5EVER & EVER. (honorable mention to hanwenzhou but only if WKX gets to lovingly bully the fuck out of HY).

Favorite headcanon: WKX is a light sleeper and prone to wandering around at night, doing random odd chores until he gets tired again (or ZZS comes to get him back to bed).

This is based on WKX's little breakdown, in the novel, when he learns about Zhou Xu actually being dying. My drawing isn't fully accurate, I think, as while WKX does fall asleep clinging to ZZS' leg or robes, I'm not sure it's exactly in his lap? Anyway. I mean, it's no surprise by now that I love a good amount of scenes in TYK. This one is among the top ones, in particular, because of how subtle and interesting I found it re:WKX's character. After leaving, coming back drunk to the point of just falling to asleep on the ground, clinging to that person he decided to not let go of despite the bad news... Also, the scene is followed by my most favourite WKX quote in the entire book, so. I felt quite inspired. Also, first hoboxu appearance in my archiving! woohoo!

So after watching episodes 34,35 and 36, I just would like to stop crying but that's really not happening anytime soon. When do I stop. Was it when beauty ghost, aunt lao and wen kexing prepared all those gifts for ah Xiang? Was it whenever wen kexing and ah Xiang talked?( i just absolutely lone their sibling and parent-daughter bond). Was it when zzs decided to take out all the nails at a time cause life isn't worth living without his soulmate? Was it when zhou zishu hid from wen kexing that he is going to die very soon? Was it when wkx hugged zzs when they he was drunk? Was it when wkx asked zzs to visit the place with him where his parents died? Was it when such a disaster happened to the most innocent people on the show on their wedding day? Was it when ah Xiang pleaded with wkx to take her revenge? Was it when wkx asked her to call him elder brother? Was it when wkx said he would join ah Xiang very soon after the fight and was injured? Was it when wkx wanted to touch and feel the light around zzs with his hand? Was it when zzs made Cheng long practice the lie that he should tell his uncle master when zzs departs towards his death? Was it when wkx comes to zzs anyways? Was it when wkx tells the truth to zzs during the practice when zzs can't hear him? Was it when wkx took this decision cause he wouldn't be able to bear the pain if he was the one left behind? Was it when zzs opens his eyes and looks at how wkx has become? Was it when wen kexing's hands start sliding out Zhou zishu's? Was it when all the love and pain was visible on wkx's face during the last scene? Was it the look of zzs's face when he saw and understood what happened? Was it when Cheng ling told all this story to the next generation of the four seasons manor? What do I do with all these emotions now.

Scorpion King has a talk with the now disabled Zhao Jing in which he reveals his true intentions and feelings about what he thought about him. A drunk Lao Wen elatedly describes that meeting Ah' Xu had changed him. He asks him to accompany him to his parents' old hometown for a proper burial and Ah' Xu tearfully agrees. At Ghost Valley, preparations for Ah' Xiang's wedding takes place. Aunt Luo tells her plan to stay at the valley forever with Qian Qiao, who had decided to drink the Water of Lethe and forget Yu Qiu Feng. Cao Wei Ning is increasingly nervous and confesses that he had always hoped that his wedding would be attended by his seniors and Masters. (Spoilers) Look the emotional rollercoaster this episode is like Wen Kexing finally got his revenge and Ye Bayi is like just close down the ghost valley and we'll call it even and it's like yes!!!! No more bloodshed!!!! And everyone is having dinner together and Wen Kexing is literally having the best day of his life!!! But then Zhou Zishu is like dealing with all the turmoil and angst that WKX's little stunt put him through and that he's going to die in a few days but nobody knows and he doesn't want to bring down the mood and then there's heartbreaking scene where WKX is drunk and is so happy and cuddling ZZS and is like I'm so happy you're my soulmate and everything is great and we'll travel the world together this is amazing!!! And you can see the pain on ZZS's face because WKX doesn't KNOW!!!! And then there's the confrontation between Scorpion King and Zhao Jing which is !!!!!!!!!!!! And then they're preparing for Gu Xiang and Cao Weining's wedding!!!!! And it's so sweet because everyone is just so happy!!!! And like WKX is in full dad mode which is great. But it's just like an episode where the characters can just all love each other because there's no sign of immediate danger (well besides ZZS' stuff) but like it's so heartwarming and sad and tragic when you know what happens right after like !!!!!!!!!!!! Prince of Qi, Da Wu. Zi Shu? Thanks to your help, we managed to bring them here. WOH, episode 35, part 10. ZCL, DW, JBY gathered at the burial site of GX and CWN. ZCL kneels and looks at the plaque next to the tombstone. ZZS, dressed in dark robes, approaches them. ZZS turns to the prince and DW with information that thanks to their help, the bodies of GX and CWN were brought back and buried with dignity. I thank them and add that it is beautiful here. ZCL turns to ZZS and says that Prince Qi just asked him what to write for the recording of Brother Cao and Sister Xiang's side. The prince confirms this is true. He explains that GX and CWN are not officially married, so GX is still single. JBY adds that he doesn't know whether to write her maiden name or Mrs. Cao. ZZS responds with emotion that Mrs. Cao because GX would like it. ZCL asks ZZS if WKX is still unconscious. ZZS replies that he gave WKX Drunk Like a Dream because he doesn't know how to deal with it and asks ZCL to take care of WKX. ZCL does not understand ZZS's request and asks where he is going. ZZS smiles sadly and explains that he thought he would be able to live a quiet life, but maybe he is destined to wander the world. JBY and DW listen carefully to ZZS's words. DW grabs ZZS's wrist and he tries to pull his arm away, but DW checks his pulse and is terrified. DW looks at ZZS, who looks away. DW asks if ZZS took the nails out of the body. JBY asks what ZZS did and when. ZZS explains this in a dispassionate voice before the Heroes' Conference because he wanted to regain all his power to avenge WKX. The men are surprised, and ZZS adds that he must do something to stop Prince Jin from opening the Arsenal. ZZS claims he has a few days left. Confused, ZCL asks what ZZS means and that he can't. ZZS looks at the boy sadly. The prince asks DW if there is any way to save ZZS, because he is full of energy looking at him. He adds that if they do something right away, is there anything that will save ZZS? ZCL has eyes full of tears. The prince says that WKX is injured, but they can look for YBY because he is an unrivaled champion. With his help and DW's skills, they will save ZZS. ZZS interrupts sharply, saying that it is too late and adding that he has already taken the holy medicine from Nanjiang. JBY adds that they will make another one and that he will do his best to get the valuable and rare ingredients, then tells ZZS that there must be some way to save him. ZZS, very moved, replies that it is too late. Even if the Leader of the Valley of Healers comes to life, he has already done everything in his power, and now he can only rely on fate. If this is the purpose of ZZS, the rest is not important. ZCL mentions the Yin Yang book, tells ZZS that this is the way. Only life for life counts and he explains that he will give his life for the life of ZZS. He asks us to look for this book together. ZZS calls the boy a fool and adds that ZZS' concern makes his heart happy and recommends ZCL to be polite. ZCL tries to suppress crying. A fantastically emotional scene that shows us how many people care about ZZS. ZZS believes that he will hide his condition and do what he planned alone. He purposely put WKX to sleep so his brother wouldn't follow him. He is unable to tell him the truth that he is dying. However, DW discovers the truth. ZZS is surprised and touched by the concern of his loved ones. They know that their efforts will not bring results. This is his punishment, when he finds peace and happiness, he will have to die. ZZH has the saddest face in the world here. When I look at him, I feel like bursting into tears. ZZH showed ZZS's emotions so beautifully in this scene that he probably actually had tears in his eyes.
