Beefy!Bucky x Reader

Word count: 1,167*

Warning: Fluffiness all the way, mutual pining, neck kink and two idjittss with feelings.

It wasn't a secret you're smitten with Bucky except Bucky. He just made you feel stuff that makes you weak in the knees but he keeps on denying it. One time you confessed he told you that it's just you being nice to him, the newbie and well because you're nice to everyone but that is not the case. You really, really like him. He's nice, Strong, a smooth talker without trying very hard and his physique...ummm… it's the icing on that delicious beefy cake and you're so ready to jump in and take a bite, especially on his beautiful, strong, veiny neck.

Yeah it's one of your greatest weaknesses, His neck. You can't remember how many times you've caught yourself staring at it and wishing you can kiss, lick and touch that part of him and the rest of him will be a bonus too.

Just like another usual calm day the team is just hanging out the compound and you took this opportunity to check on them and examine their well being.

"Well good to know you have no secret bone injury that you've hidden to me again. I'll take this as a good day for you wings." You told him as you finished reading his results and is glad that he's well, really well because he did hide some serious injuries to you before and you had to find out when he caught a bad fever from infections. Silly man acting all invisible and failing.

"Thanks a bunch Doc Y/N. I learned my lesson the last time." He laughed standing from the bed of your scanning machine.

"Glad to know Sam. Though I'm so sure you just don't want to be on strictly soup diet again that's why you're being good." You laughed as you downloaded his results on your database.

"Oh that is an awful day." He shivered, cringing his face from the memory and it made you laugh out loud.

Bucky was about to enter your clinic when he heard your very beautiful laugh and it made him smile. He love hearing you laugh even tho he doesn't enjoy the fact that someone else is making you do it. He went in and saw Sam leaning on your scanning machine talking to you. He cleared his throat and glared at his pals face when he turned around to see who came in and quickly smiling as he look down at you.

"Hey Doll." He greeted walking further in.

"Hi Buck" you waved at him.

"HI Sam." Sam said sarcastically as he walked backwards towards the door.

"Just walk away, bird brain. Walk away…" bucky said, snarling a smile towards Sam.

"I'm walkin'." Sam said laughing. He's enjoying Bucky's reaction so much. Especially because he knows how he feels about you and you to him but you both are so dummies to just hit it off. "By the way old man don't forget to have your aching shoulder checked." He said winking at the two of you before dashing away.

You felt like your face heated up as Sam left the two of you alone.

"So uhm… you ready?" You asked him looking up to his standing form from your seat. He smiled as he sat down on the bed.

"Sam's right tho. I think you need to check my scars." Bucky said and suddenly removed his shirt which made you gasp as his body is now exposed in front of you.

Hard like rock chest, abs that made your mouth water and that neck god this is torture…

"I-I...okay let me see." You swallowed as you put on a glove and went to stand near him to have a better view of his scars. While looking if something is wrong with his scarred shoulder you kept getting distracted by his neck. It's so near your and so exposed and it's making your knees weak.

"You okay Doll?" Bucky asked as he heard the change in your heartbeat and breathing.

Looking away from his skin to look up on him.

He's staring at you with his soft kind eyes.

"I'm alright Buck." You said. "Your scars look okay to me but I would like to test it when it hurts again so let me know?" You said.

"Actually it doesn't hurt…" he said shyly. His face turned a little red. Frowning, you stared at him as you removed your gloves.

"But you said-" you're about to sass him when he interrupted you holding your left hand and placed it on his chest.

"I still hurt...it hurts seeing you laughing because of someone else and that My hearts beats so wildly everytime you're around." You gasped as you felt his heart's strong beating.

"Bucky…" you couldn't help but savour the feel of his chest in your hand as your right one went up to touch his neck caressing it slowly which made him gasp.

"You make my heart hurt too bucky... everytime you call me Doll or Sweetheart but knowing I can't just jump in and kiss you or how you walk out on every mission and not knowing how you are or if you're hurt." You said to him talking a step closer to him. You're now caged by his well toned huge budy and you never felt so comfortable.

"We're the idiot duo." He said laughing, his hands sneaking around your waist to keep you close.

"Idiot what?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's what Sam calls us." He laughed. "Because we kept denying each other's feelings for so long but I can't anymore...I can't deny it and shove it aside. I don't want to hurt anymore…" he said, bending a little to kiss the side of your lips in which you tried to follow when he moved away.

"Yeah me too...no more hurting." You said. You brought your hands to his neck staring at it intently.

"Uhm...is there a secret you wanna tell me? Like if you're secretly a vampire?" Bucky said laughing as he watched you gaze at his exposed neck. He had caught you staring a lot before. He first thought you're just looking at his scars but now he knows it's not it.

"If I bite you, will you run away…?" You were amused at what he said.

"If you make FRIDAY lock the doors I'll let you take all the bites that you want." He said biting his lower lips.

"FRIDAY, lock the doors and open up the privacy panels-ump…" Bucky's lips caught yours before you even finished what you're saying. Tasting you like a hungry man trapped on an island and that day you got your fill of how that sexy meck feels on your lips and how addicting it tastes.

Sam was meters away looking at the now closed clinic of yours. Smirking and giving himself a pat in the back and walked away. Mission accomplished, he thought. Idiot duo is now gone.

You had been sick and injured on your last mission. Trapped on your bed for weeks had made you very cranky.

How many times have you snarled at your boyfriend Loki? You can’t remember to be honest. You’re just glad he had tons of patience. Staring at the gray sky with a sigh. Great and it’s going to rain too. What a way to set the mood.

Sighing again you turned your body around facing away from the sad looking outside world and saw Loki standing at the open door watching you.

“How long had you been there?” You grunted at him. Striding towards you he sat down at the side of your bed. He reached over your uninjured hand kissing it softly.

“It pains me to see you this woeful, my love.” He whispered.

You sighed again. Looking up at him in defeat.

“I don’t like this…” you swallowed thickly, blinking as your eyes started to dampen. “I don’t like feeling this weak.” You told him truthfully. He leaned down, planting a gentle kiss on your forehead. You closed your eyes savoring his touch.

“Do you trust me Love?” he whispered on top of your head. His long fingers combing your hair. You’re starting to relax from his touch.

“You know I do, with all my heart.” You answered. Moving your weak body closer to his.

Smiling sweetly upon hearing your response and how you had put yourself close to him. Loki flicked his free hand and a wheelchair came rolling in your room.

Raising an eyebrow at the contraption you turned your head to have a better view of his face.

“May I?” He asked, standing up straight offering a hand for you to take,

“You may.” You answered, taking his hand with your uninjured one. He once again peaked a kiss on your hand, leaning down to pick you up on his arm. Making sure he’s not putting pressure on your legs and other injuries.

For the first time after waking up all bandaged up you finally felt like you could breathe. Having your body leave that wretched bed.

Loki sat you down in the wheelchair and kneeled in front of you. “I need you to close your eyes, my sweets.” He said and you study his face trying to read him and his plan but it was unsuccessful of course. Pouting your lips in defeat.

He then smoothly runs his hand from your forehead down your eyes guiding them to close. You kept it tightly closed and it must have pleased him because you felt his soft lips touch yours. You smiled as you moved your lips with his.

With a pained groan he stopped himself from taking the kiss deeper. Well it's been a while for the both of you. You giggled. Poor Lokes.

Keeping your eyes closed you let Loki push you towards your unknown destination. Five minutes later you felt him stop.

"Don't look yet!" He hissed and you heard his heavy footsteps and some metal creaking. You did your best to not peak despite the excitement bubbling inside you.

You moved again and quickly stopped. You took a deep breath, your lack of sight kind of made you focus on other stuff. It smells fresh and clean. Kinda earthy too.

"Can I look now??" You asked, snipping the air again. "Are we outside? Isn't it raining?" You asked as fresh air filled your lungs.

"Open them now." He said. Nervously you opened one eye first but only saw red. You blinked your eyes adjusting to the light. Something red and aromatic are shoved close to your face.

Loki laughed at your confused face. He moved the items a little and you're finally able to identify it.

He's holding a bunch of red flowers in his hand.

"Red tulips and salvia…" you murmured while investigating what flowers they're. Your heart starts to beat fast as you feel your face heat up.

You look up at him, staring at his beautiful green eyes that are gazing down at you full of fondness.

"Red tulips and salvia -" He repeated, kneeling down in front of you again. His hands went to caress your cheek. You lean your head towards his touch, smiling contently. "I declare my undying love to you and…" he stalled. Looking at you from under his lashes.

"red salvia… I'm forever yours…" you continued. Biting your lower lip at how deeply those flowers ment and how you used to just read them to him. "You remembered…" you said.

"I...I didn't just remember my love. Look around." He said. Standing up to love behind you. A surprised gasp left your lips. In Front of you are tons of potted flowers. Some already bloomed to their full glory and some are still on their way.

For the first time since you opened your eyes. You finally took in your surroundings. That's why you're not wet from the drizzle, you're inside a huge glassed structure...Loki brought you to a greenhouse.

"I had been working on this little paradise for you. I know how much you miss your parents' flower garden and how you love caring for them. I was supposed to show you this after we got back from that last mission but things d-didn't go well…" he said, his voice sounding thick as he remembered seeing you bloody and unmoving.

"Oh Loki, I love this so much." You sobbed. Thick tears started flowing down from your eyes. Putting down your flowers on your lap you reach for him from behind you.

Loki took your hand not letting go as he walked back on your front.

"I'm so glad, my love." He said, wiping the tears on your face. "I hope this helps brighten your day, I couldn't bare to see your beautiful eyes be full of sadness."

"I feel so much better now. Thank you My Love." You whispered, combing your uninjured hand on his hair and putting a single red salvia on his ear. Yours...

It was one of those days...a day where things doesn't felt right and that you don't felt right. You've camped in ypur room the whole day in attempt to avoid anyone's attention and you know its not a good move but it's the only valid one for you at the moment.

You're just laying there on top of your bed, curled in a ball, staring at your wall for a while now. It's after you went around cleaning your very luch clean room. Sighing at the dull feeling in your gut you close your eyes in attempt to sleep it off and that's how Loki found you when he appeared on your room and he knows it's one of those days again so he banished quietly again and went to the kitchen.

Natasha was there drinking coffe and just reading something on her tablet.

"How long was Y/N in her room?" Loki asked her knowing she'll know because she wasn't on the mission with him.

"she went out for breakfast this morning and after that she's been inside." She said sighing.

Loki nodded kn acknowledgement and went to scavege sweet treats and some hot chocolate to bring back to your room.

"Will you inform Stark I will not be joining a mission for a while? I'll be with her." He said and vanished from the kitchen.

He got back on your room with the food in hand. You're now on a different position which is a good sign that you're trying. You're now on your back woth your arms and legs spread apart and you're staring at the ceiling.

He quietly arranged the snacks on your side table and went to sit at the bed.

"Hi Loki..." You whispered acknowledging his presence but not moving from your current position.

"Hello, my dearest." He said bending down to give your lips a quick kiss and caress your cheeks. "I have brought you some snacks to eat and your favorite hot chocolate." He said picking up the mug of steamy chocolate. The smell wrapped around you like a fluffy, comfy pillow and it made you sit up slowly.

You folded your legs inder you and took the mug in your hands enjoying the warmth that sipped from it to your sweaty palms. You sighed happily as you took your first sip.

"This is perfect... you're perfect." You said to his and he just smiled lovingly at you and kissed your forehead softly three time and keeping his lips there for a few seconds on the fourth kiss before he moved away and picked up some chocolate coated biscuits from his file of food.

"Only for you my darling, I'll be whatever you need." He said and patiently stayed by your side the whole time.

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Mermaid/Fem!Reader AU

Warning: none so far I think. Probably my rusty writing?

Word count: 2800+

Summary: You’ve been in love with a man for years now, years as for Merperson like you means a lot of years for the surface people – 50 years to be exact, but he’s a mystery that even with your world’s technology you cannot find him. Until one day when your kingdom’s watchers got hold of news of another big fighting event at the surface. It’s their Captain America fighting a certain Winter Soldier. You know him…your heart knows him and your heart can be trusted for it only beats to another only once. What will you do that you now know who he is and that he still lives? Of course…you must follow your heart or die for being away from him more.

AN: Words in italic are spoken in Mer language, I dunno if one exists so let’s just assume it’s spoken in an ancient unknown language hehe.

“Are you certain about this, Sister?” Asked by your younger Sister Medeia as you stare at the passageway between the surface and your world. The truth is you’re not very certain. All you know is that you must find him and be with him. You’ve longed for him for years and now he’s back and you must not waste more time.

“I have waited and searched for a long while Sister. I am not certain about this but I am not willing to waste any more years. You know that when our hearts beats for someone it will forever belong to that person and I have waited 50 human years searching for him…” You turned and swam towards her. “I want to experience what you have with Alquirre. I want to feel the same completeness.” You told her truthfully. You have seen your Sister and her mate and you longed for the same thing.

“Why does it has to be a surface person!!” she pouted and stomped her arms same as how a surface child will stomp their feet when they’re throwing tantrums. You smiled lovingly at your Sister and hugged her.

“It will be alright. He would not be that bad and he’s very handsome too…I still remember his face as if it’s just yesterday I’ve held his unconscious body up to the shore.” You smiled as you reminisce the memory of how you met him.

You’re still young then, on a journey of surveying the water as any royal bound to lead must. There you saw a shiny thing sinking down the deep ocean, as you swam towards it you saw that it’s a body and the shiny thing is his arm. Knowing that he will die if he goes any deeper you went closer to him to help him and once you’re face to face with him you felt it. Loud and hard, your heart beats strongly for this man. It made you desperate to save him more. He cannot die, you must not lose him this fast… for Poseidon’s sake!

You dragged him up towards the shore and made him lay down on the shore in a safe distance from the angry wave of the sea. Having a cleared view of his face you cannot help but be awe. He is beautiful. Long lashes, tan skin and beautiful locks of hair. How you wish he is awake so you can see his eyes. You smiled as you caress his face. You’ve already took out the water in his lungs and know that he will be safe now. All you have to do is wait for him to come to and you’ll introduce yourself.

Waiting as you watch his face, you’ve been thinking of ways on how to introduce yourself.

“I hope you won’t mind that I have tail than feet…” you said out loud, pouting as you look at your tail besides his cloth covered legs.

“Soldat!” Sound of voices and lots of footsteps made you alert and worried.

Oh no… Surface people must not see you!

“I am sorry my dearest. I must leave you, you’ll be safe with your people…” you looked up at the destination where the noises came from. “I…hope.” Biting your lips looking down at his you stop a quick kiss as you whispered “We will meet again…” and there you went back towards the water hiding behind a huge rock you watch as the people who seems to know him took him and then he’s gone…gone for too long but now he’s back again and you must fulfill your promise.

“You know that once you’ve step to the other side a payment must be given.” She said and it made you look at the enchanting swirl of water. It looks like a little whirlpool but vertical. There had been a lot of stories about it but no one came back to tell if it is true.

“That is why I brought all my valuable treasures to see which one the passageway will take from me.” You showed her your satchel containing gems, pearls and other items.

“I worry for you Elder sister…” she said sobbing. You may not see her tears but you saw the pain in her face. Smiling warmly at her you held your beautiful face.

“My heart is happy knowing how much you care for me and know that I feel the same to you but you must not worry. I am one of the finest fighter of our kingdom and the surface will not defeat me.” You said to her winking.

“That worries me more…” she snipped wiping her eyes. “You’re too brave it makes you stupid sometimes. The surface is a mess as we’ve seen on all our time observing. Please be smart while you’re there.” She said half laughing as she cried.

It made you feel like crying too. “I’ll try my best Sister.” Nodding at her you turned to face the passageway, swallowing the lump on your throat and swam towards it. You looked back at your sister for the last time and dive into it.

Your voice… of all the valuables you brought with you it had to be your voice. Lying down naked at the dry soil at the other side of the passageway you bawl as you realized what it took as payment.

You don’t know how long you’ve been there but it’s starting to get bright. It’s almost morning but you cannot push yourself to get up even as you heart of people coming your way.

“I’m certain I saw the passageway lit up last night! You have to believe me, mother.” That took your interest. They speak of the surface people’s language and does yours too.

Help… you thought. You tried to get up but you’re not used to having legs and it was all wobbly and weak. Stumbling down you felt pain on your knees from the fall and tears…they started to flow from your eyes now and you hate it. You feel helpless and stupid. Your sister is right, you’re stupid.

“Mother! See! I knew I’m correct!!” you heard the earlier voice much closer now. Looking up you saw a girl and an older Lady with her. You can see the pity and understanding in the Older Lady’s eyes as she took off her shawl and walked near you. She covered you with it and rubbed your back in silent comfort. It made your lips tremble. The Mother – you assumed – signaled the girl toward you and they helped you up away from the passageway towards what looks like a little town not far from where you appeared.

The girl is chatty but the mother is silent. You’re curious how they have known of your arrival but you’re thankful. Not too long you’re on their house on a couch with a simple dress and a hot drink they call tea. It sooths your nerves and you nodded your thanks.

“It looks like it took your voice too.” A man said as he put down a nice smelling brown food in front of you. You know of this, they call it bread. You look up at him questioning what he said. He looked like he understood what your look meant and sighed. He lovingly looked at the older woman that helped you earlier. “My wife…Grelta, she’s from your world too and also lost her voice.” He smiled at her when she looked at the two of you from where she and the Girl Gretchen were cooking something.

You took in a shaking breath as you watch her.

You’ve heard of a lot of Mer people crossing the passageway but not of those who successfully returned. Seeing as Grelta is aging same as the surface people it seems like they’ve all perish here. Will that also be your faith?

You must hurry and find him…your Soldat or Winter Soldier or whoever he is called or all of this is going to be useless. You touched your throat and tried to talk to ask where you are in the surface but none came out. You sighed sadly.

“Here, I know you Mer people knows our writings and language.” The man said and handed you a piece of paper and a pen. You shakily took it and tried to remember how English is written.

>Where is here?< you wrote and turned it towards him. He told you the place and how it is hidden from people outside by a thick mist that forms an illusion that nothing is here. >How?< you wrote again.

“Grelta. You see…she might have lost her voice when she crossed over but her abilities, your abilities are still intact. She made it as to protect who ever might cross and to hide this place from humans that might want to do harm to your kind.” He said.

With what he had said you opened your palm towards the pitcher of water at the kitchen counter and commanded the water in it to float towards your hand. At first nothing happened and you concentrated more, the water shook and soon it slowly floated up and unevenly went near you. As it went nearer you commanded it to form into a sharp point and it does. Gasping happily you giggled nonstop. Knowing you can still command any liquid near you gives you hope.

Too excited to remember to put the water back on its container though. As you clapped your hands excitedly the floating water fell and drenched the carpeted floor. You covered your lips with your hands and apologetically looked up at him.

“Oh, don’t worry about it.” He laugh. “You should have seen how Grelta is when she discovered she still have her abilities.” You hear Grelta shush her husband from the kitchen and gives him a warning look as if daring him to tell of her embarrassing tale.

That made you happy. Looking at the two of them.

>Are you hers?< you wrote down.

“Her heart’s true partner?” he asked using the term your people use, you nodded. “Yes I am.”

He told her their tale and it made you want to meet your Soldat more. Sighing dreamingly. Speaking of him… you hurriedly wrote down >New York? Where?< you turn the paper on him so fast you almost hit his face. He laugh at your energy.

“Is this your destination?? Hmm that four hours walk down from here and 6 hours car ride once you reach the foot of the mountain.” He said. You nodded at him and stood up your legs shaking a bit as you reach for your things. “You cannot be serious of going now?” He said, looking towards her wife to ask for help.

Grelta walks toward you and calmly tapped your shoulder to make you sit down again.

Confused you asked why. Grelta signed stuff with her hand towards you and her husband. You know that!!! It’s the language used by the non-speaking people of the surface. But you’re not fluent with it, never thinking you’ll need it you focused on fighting than learning the ways of the scholars. You’re able to understand the words rest, prepare, money, weak, feet and safety.

You stared at Grelta’s husband waiting for him to translate. He looked at you with a raised eyebrow.

You grabbed the paper and wrote down >was never the scholar more of fighter – please help?< you embarrassingly wrote down. Grelta shook her head in disappointment. Your people had always valued knowledge but never you. You’re more of action than a thinker, that is more your Sister’s field.

“She said that you must rest first and make sure you get used to your feet as they’re very weak right now. You’ll need money for your safe travel so hopefully you bought some trinkets with you?” He said.

You nodded showing him your satchel.

“That’s good enough. Once you’re ready to go on your journey to the big city I’ll help you exchange those to cash.” He smiled, “But for now you’re welcome to stay here with us. We’ll help you get used to your feet.”

Your eyes became blurry from the tears, damn this waters it’s seems too stubborn to be controlled. You put your right hand in the middle of your chest and bow down your head to show the respect for they’re willing to do so much to a stranger like you.

**Two months later

Looking up to all the huge structure you cannot help but be awe. It’s so different from your home and so much noisier. There are people everywhere…as how the Creed’s family had warned you. New York City, the city that never sleeps.

You smiled widely as you started your way on your destination.

Getting on an empty Taxi just as how Gretchen have thought you, after showing the driver a piece of paper with your destination’s address you’re now on your way towards the avenger’s compound. Your heart is beating wildly for the excitement. At last after all these years you’ll see him again, you cannot help but squeal in a noiseless way.

“We’re here, Miss.” The driver said. You paid him and got out staring at the huge gate in front of you. You peaked inside if there’s someone guarding it but found none. Cocking your head to the right in a gesture of cluelessness. How will I get in!? Maybe they have surveillance so you stand at the middle of the closed gate and waves your hands on top of your head. Hopefully this will get their attention coz shouting on the top of your lungs won’t work.

“Mr. Stark, a woman is in the front gate waving at us.” Friday’s voice echoed at the entertainment room where all the avengers are relaxing.

“Maybe it’s a fan showing some love. Let it be.” Tony said eyes not leaving the TV screen. It’s one of the You must relax or else day enforced by Pepper to all of them and relax they shall. Its normal to have fan girls on their front gate.

“That’s the thing Sir, She’s been waving for half an hour now…” that caught all their attention. Natasha, raised an eyebrow and asked Friday to show them the front gate and there she is. Mystery girl waving in a shaky way now.

“Whose chick is she?” the Widow asked eyeing the men in the room.

“Not mine for sure.” Tony said grinning at the nervous looking men.

“Ah…” Sam said.

“She’s not mine too. I don’t go around meeting and forgetting ladies.” Steve said eying Clint and Rhodey.

“Hey don’t give me that look. I don’t do that either.” Rhodey said looking at Clint who only shakes his head showing his wedding ring.

“Who’s the girl then?” Tony asked.

“Why don’t we ask?” Steve said. Bucky was just sitting at the corner quietly as the others tried to see who’s on their front door. He’s still getting used to being here and being free. He’s still being careful around Tony and the others even though Steve would always tell him everything is alright now.

“Alright Cap. Friday, activate Voice com.” Tony said and eyed the still waving girl in the screen. Weird person, must be a diehard fan.

“Voice com. Ready Sir.” Friday said.

“Hey, girl!” Tony said. That made the girl stop waving and looked around wide eyed. It made some of the team laugh.

“She’s cute.” Rhodey said. Clint shushed him.

“Hey, I’m talking to you. Here, left side of the gate.” Tony said pinching his temple. The girl made an “Oh” shape from her lips as if understanding at last. It made a Thumbs up sigh towards the camera. “Who are you and what do you need?” he continued. The girl looked at the tech where she’s supposed to talk back, bit her lips and scratched her head.

“Does she plan on answering or will just stare at the gate?” Bruce asked as he walked near them with a glass of water in hand.

“Girl? We need your answer.” Tony said a bit annoyed stealing a glance at the still on-going movie.

The girl took a deep breath and walked back at where she was standing earlier. She pointed on her throat and the made an X sigh using her hands. She did that three times which made everyone in the room to stare at each other.

“She’s mute…” Nat said stating the obvious now. “Must be here for something important to go to all this trouble.”

Tony Sighed. “This should be worth it coz we’re all dead to Pepper. We’re breaking her rules.” Tony asked Natasha and Clint to pick you up – coz they know sign language – they brought you to one of the conference offices in the compound.

Guess who's back 😅🥹😭💕 I missed y'all. It's a Saturday and there's a typhoon and the blasting random music plus the rain drops inspired me to go check out my tons of WIPs and here we are. A very old one that had been sleeping on my Docs. Was supposed to be my entry in a writing challenge but ugh my brain was not being kind when I was writing this before I've been visiting this to try to slowly finish a part and here it is. Wish me luck and I hope you'll like this. 💕 I will do my best to start writing again even if it'll be a few updates/upload per week. I'll take it slow 🤞 and goodness how I missed creating worlds.
