Small update: I just made the main column of my blog (along with all the pre-existing story screenshots) slightly bigger for a more comfortable reading experience

and not at all because I have a tendency to hide stuff in my screens that can be relevant to the plot and doing so with pictures as wide as a stamp isn't a very smart thing to do.

~~ by the way, if anybody who's also using the Lilac theme knows how to stop Tumblr from automatically scaling down pictures to a maximum resolution of 500px on custom pages, I'd be delighted to know! Because I had to use Imgur's html integration codes as a workaround and it's a little time consuming.

TNK CAS Update (& huge facepalm)

So I just realized that I accidentally made a mistake in CAS between Chapter 2 and 3 of The New Kid that made Alex's eyes go from really big to really small 😱

I've been feeling like something was weird about her face for a while, like a weird "Huh... I would do things differently if I had to redo them now" vibe when looking at pictures of her. I can't believe I didn't notice it straight away!

Well, now it's kind of weird to see how huge her eyes used to be so we're not going back to that, but I just wanted to let you guys know that from Chapter 6 and onwards Alex's eyes will go back to being just a teeny tiny bit bigger to balance everything out, so just a heads up! (though if you're like me and you absolutely did not notice anything the first time, we're all good)

PS: her skin and eye color never changed, my editing did.

✨ Chapter 4 of The New Kid has made a royal entrance!✨

Turns out I'm terrible at planning, so I ended up having to cut this monster of a chapter in half because it was absolutely MASSIVE.

As a result, Chapter 5 will be released very shortly because I almost have everything I need already! I just couldn't bear to post the entire thing uncut... it would've simply been absurdly long.

Chapter 4 of The New Kid is coming, but it will be late... 😢

I'm writing it at the moment but I've been struggling to properly estimate how long my chapters will be... The trouble with improvisation, I guess.

Chapter 3 was big, and I thought Chapter 4 would be equivalent. It's comprised of three sequences and I'm in the middle of writing the first one, it is technically the biggest but so far it's as long as the entirety of Chapter 3. I might need to make Chapter 4 end sooner than it should just to avoid having to drop a gigantic novel of a chapter.

Which is a little bit of a pain because I had set story milestones to happen during specific chapters and it's all being thrown off balance and delayed. I never wanted The New Kid to be a crazy long story with too many chapters and I really don't like having to wait until too long in the story for some important stuff to start coming out.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, I just meant to say that I'm going to take another week to figure this out and hopefully Chapter 4 will be ready by next Sunday ~
