I've recently remembered and updated myself with @voiceboss's podcast, and fucking Edward's got my heart in a Death Grip (again). So I ended up making something very silly (and extremely specific) as a playlist for Mr Codot/Dee, and anyone else, to enjoy~.

The title is based on a true story. Now I'm just making you all suffer with me. 💚

Y'all I had a WILD bad dream where Leona, Xiao, a bunch of faceless randos, and I were being killed off by this guy wanting to get some inheritance we were all getting.

And he was able to do this so well, Leona decided not to pick a battle he couldn't win, so he told the guy he wouldn't pick a fight if he let him die slowly so he could say bye to me 😭

So he held a sliding door shut with his bare hands while Xiao and I were none the wiser, to keep this guy away from us, and afterwards was just like "whatever just shoot me up and let me tell her goodbye/I love you one more time U~U" 😭 😭

The guy gave him a shot of too much anesthesia, and when I tell you I was panicking and calling 911 and trying to resuscitate him even tho I've never gotten a pass for learning CPR before... 🥺😭

You can't do all that and make me have a fucking panic attack in my dream over you dying, Leona, wtf?!!

Also I feel this makes an interesting, if weird, premise, and if anyone does any sort of art/writing etc. with this inspo please show me I wanna see/read it 😭

moments like these are what leona lives for. the sun frames your face beautifully as you sleep; the shadows cast by your eyelashes, your slightly parted lips, the sound of your breathing- every part of you has got him staring unashamedly. a sudden need to be even closer to you than he already is overtakes him, and he wraps his arms around you and inches forward.

as he mindlessly rubs gentle circles into your hip, he wonders how he became this lovesick mess of a beastman. he’s always rejected affection from anyone who tried to give it to him- there was always some sort of ulterior motive. whether it was in the form of riches or status, he could never accept them as true- even if they were. 

and now that he has it, it’s weird. strange and unfamiliar. you tell him he’s pretty, that he’s wonderful. you kiss him and hug him, you pet his ears and stroke his cheeks. you smile when you see him- like he really does make your day better. and it all feels so genuine. so warm and real and soft. how is he supposed to respond to that? years of turning away any type of fondness does that to a guy. 

but he tries, and he hopes it's enough. he hopes you see his efforts and love him for it just like you have with every other part of him. he tells you that you’re pretty too, and he questions if that’s what you want- if that’s what you’re expecting from him. he’s surprised himself with everything he feels. he’s not scared of a lot of things, but he realizes that falling in love might be one of his fears. 

it all felt so fast to him, one moment you were a stranger getting in the way of what he wanted, then suddenly you’re the love of his life. the one who wholly captured his heart without even really trying. and a past part of leona wondered and questioned; what if you’re his last kiss. what if you really are his true love. is he ready for that kind of commitment? should he push you away like he did everyone else? he’s only 20, he’s still young. how does he know that this is forever.

but every one of those worries in his head disappears as soon as you so much as glance at him in the hallway. the way he loses control of his heartbeat, the blood in his cheeks when you smile, his ears flickering when he hears your voice- all of it is proof of how much he loves you. he’s never felt this way before, and no matter his fears, the voice in his heart knows that he’ll regret it for the rest of his life if he runs from you and his feelings.

and so he’s caught up in this stupid rom-com type romance with you, but he’s starting to recognise that maybe that isn’t so bad. it isn’t as scary as he thought, nothing is when he’s with you. everything feels right when he’s by your side- he still feels a shock through every bone whenever he hears an ‘i love you’ because you chose him- no one else. he’s seconds away from a heart attack when you love him, and honestly, he can’t believe he gets to be yours- and he gets to call you his. he’s got someone to lose now, and it isn’t as bad as he thought it would be.
