Just so u know, humans r inherently creative, and art is inevitable. Don’t paint? That’s cool, u can tell someone a joke and create a smile. Don’t write? That’s fine, u can talk to a stranger and create a friend. Don’t bake or cook? That’s awesome, u can tidy up and create a new and clean space. It’s not even that art is all around, cause honestly it isn’t really, because art is the act of looking at something u took part in and saying:

“Wow, look at what I made happen just by being.”

It doesn’t even make sense because im not even watching ghost files for high production value. Nobody is. I’m watching it because of the chemistry between Shane and Ryan. Unsolved 95% of time was a guy just reading off a script with passing words on screen. I could’ve edited a ghost files episode with the same production quality and not a soul would’ve noticed, yk why? We do not fucking care what the episode looks like, or sounds like, where in gods name they go, camera quality or how high the production value is, as long as it’s Shane and Ryan having a good time hunting ghosts we dgaf.

genuinely don't know how watcher thought this would work. why do they have 25+ people on staff. why does an episode of ghost files take hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce. why did they hype this up like it was a good announcement. why did the announcement sound weird and defeated. they had to have been bringing in 100k-200k a month. do they think they can get streaming service numbers to match that. why didn't they ease people into it. how does an episode of ghost files takes over 100k to produce. why are there 25 people on staff. i know movie production companies with less people. why did you do this.

SO i've just had the genius idea to rebuild ru'aun from mcd (not a very orignal idea i know I'd imagine people have been doing this for years) in minecraft, because I've been playing a lot. But I don't want to do like an exact replica, more like the version from my rewrite, so If anyone has any suggestions, lmk!

I shahshsgs finally started actually making proper designs for the mcd characters. I wanted to do Zane first because he legit lives in my head rent free. I still haven’t worked out all the beats of his story, but think like over looked over worked little sibling driven to literal madness and losing himself in the process. Yes eventually he is redeemed, but it takes a lot of trauma and pain before that.

Slight Tw: mention of emotional incest, and childhood neglect.

Zane is a super compelling villain (no I don’t just think that because I’ve had a crush on him since childhood shut UP). But I’ve always felt his motive was just like “Rahh I’m evil just bc.” Where as in my rewrite it is definitely a slow burn, but he really just wishes to be seen as a person, and accepted by his family, and he resents his older brothers for the childhood he never got. (He grew up in an all girls convent and was forced to watch his brothers learn how to fight and be men and loved by their father just because they were boys). He always wanted approval from his father, and literally never got it because his father died before Zane got to show him he was a person worth fighting for too, which spiraled him out of control. Which is about the time he transitioned (spite and hate definitely fuels his transition, but he still very much identifies as a man) Zianna, eager to have a boy back in her life (atp Garroth and Vlyad have both abandoned the two of them) helps him transition, she has a very… boy mom relationship with her children, and after Garte dies is definitely emotionally incest-y with Zane. Yah she’s kind of just a different evil than Garte but still an awful parent.

He works in the church to get away from his mother, and basically wipes away all the traces of his old life. So much so, that when Garroth and him reunite Garroth doesn’t even recognize him, only turns his head when his last name is brought up. Zane looks for power anywhere he can get it, and it’s all the better if it’s leverage against his brother, which is why he targets Aphmau.

Anyways I could rant about his motives all day, but I won’t! Unless u wish me too in another post! But yes this was very fun, hopefully I won’t lose motivation. Who should I do next???

AGHHH tysm for saying so!! Most of it is not offically written anywhere yet, hence why I have not posted anything aside for that little scene bc I wrote that little exerpt specifically for that little animation I did. HOWEVER I am working on writing down an outline on my rewrite (as well as redesigning all the major characters) on Notion and when I get a bit farther on that I will share the page so people who are intrested can read my rewrite! Plus I will probably write more little exeprts like the one I had as well as some fics and oneshots and post em on here, so keep an eye out if you're intrested!

Small TW: child abuse (not graphically depicted, just mentioned), religious trauma, fire, injuries

This is a scene from my MCD rewrite I’ve been working on. Basically in my rewrite Aphmau is a bastard child between a Lords wife and millers husband. The lords wife carried out the pregnancy in secret and in shame, and when she was born abandoned her on the steps of a convent where she was taken in and raised by nuns. Aphmau in my au has retained some memories and feelings from being reincarnated thousands of times over as Irene. She talked about this but because reincarnation is blasphemous she is mistreated and misunderstood by the other children and the nuns. She feels connected to Irene, but disagrees with the church itself. After years of mistreatment, she finally escapes the convent at about 20-21.

Zane is the first person she ever sees outside of her convent. After escaping to a nearby town, she finds it nearly leveled by flames, in the wreckage is Zane searching for an Apostate he’d leveled the town looking for. Immediately he recognizes her as a descendant of Irene (not yet realizing not only that but literally shares a soul with Irene) and attempts to return her to her convent, and essentially force her to be a nun. She’s badly injured, and has just picked up a weapon for the first time, so she’s pretty defenseless. But at the last minute before he can return her she unknowingly summons the Wyverns and they descend to protect her. She doesn’t have the chance to thank them as she takes off running into the woods.

Then from there she ends up at the steps of the guard tower in Phoenix Drop, badly injured, severely traumatized, and in a horrible state of shock. That’s where Garroth takes her in, and gets her back to health. I could rant a little bit more, but that’s all that I wanted to say. Anyways I was feeling insipired so I made this. Though if you’re interested hearing more about my Aphmau rewrite, feel free to drop anything in my ask box. Or if u have any suggestions! Always working on stuff like that.
