Warning! THIS IS A LONG RANTISH POST ABOUT A HEAD CANON.
One of my favorite head canons about All for One (Dad for One specifically,) is that AFO HATES Endeavor. Not as much as he hates All Might, (I mean that's the man that stole his son away from him and turned him into his enemy with One for All,) but close, very close.
More in an envious way compared to his hatred for All Might.
Endeavor forced Rei into a quirk marriage with him so that they'd produce children potentially rivaling All Might. His whole goal was to surpass another in strength, neglecting and abusing his wife and children in pursuit of his own pride. He neglected his other children because they didn't have the 'right quirk'. Endeavor DECIDED to not praise his other children's accomplishments. He DECIDED to pit the children against each other by separating Shoto from his siblings because he was 'stronger' than the others, (even though he was a little kid.) We can easily assume that Endeavor didn't help his kids with their homework, comforted them when they were sick or scared, had breakfast with them, etc... He was a man, known for putting his own selfish desires and work above the needs of those relying on him.
Now we have AFO, Hisashi Midoriya, who sent Gigantomachia away after deciding to mention retiring for the first time in 200 years (why would you want to suddenly leave your work of being a massive dickwad so suddenly, unless you had a little family that became more important?) Hisashi who HATES All Might so much because he took this 'very important thing' away from him. Hisashi, who's main criticism of All Might is how he teaches heroics to children (Izuku,) which leads to them hurting themselves. Hisashi, who locked his brother in a bank vault, in this crazy attempt to protect him. He's a man who's obsessed with his family. And I like to picture him leaving zero traces of himself in the Midoriya's lives to protect them from his enemies. I like to believe he yearns for a peaceful, domestic life with his family. Afterall, this man has been through such a turbulent life thus far (being born into the dawn of quirks and being viewed as a freak, a demon, and then living life as a supervillain.)
I can see him wanting to analyze quirks with Izuku, reading to him, helping him with homework (especially history homework,) and comforting him when he's sick or scared. So, to him, Endeavor (while he also might have to had to deal with his family being targeted, we haven't heard of any occurrences when they were children instead of adults,) who DECIDED to not put his family first, and threw all of the experiences away for his own stupid obsession with a coworker. To All for One, Hisashi, Endeavor had everything he ever wanted and still DECIDED to reject it.
Now, in no way am I trying to make All for One the victim, he's a rotten potato that deserves worse than what he got from All Might. All of the villains in MHA have been humanized, we've seen their backstories, what they love, what they lost, what their goals are and where they originated from. All of the villains have had a backstory, aside from All for One. We know very little about him aside from what we've seen in Vigilantes and MHA, and the idea that all this man wants to do is be a father warms my heart. Like it's an obsession as you can see.

I caught up to the manga!
Here are my thoughts and predictions of what might happen:
Tumblr media
Media broadcast reminds me of Kamino arc and Dabi reveal. Kamino arc revealed All Might's true self and health issues. Dabi reveal outed E-word as the abuser he is. Both reveals caused a great shock in public. Since the patterns are similar, I expect another shocking reveal in a few chapters. Possibly around 398. And that would be AFO outing himself as Hisashi to All Might, Izuku, or both 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm worried about All Might. Nighteye predicted he would have a gruesome death, and he had several death flags in this arc alone. Trying to fight prime AFO as a quirkless man is so dangerous 😭 I want to believe he will stay alive. He HAS to keep living.
I'm not sure how many spies AFO still has in UA. They might sabotage the system and take civilians hostage. Especially because one of the parts (cabins) is unable to move to the safe grounds.
Toga's villain name... she drinks blood to transform. I think it will be something like Bloody or Blood Lover 😅
E-word will die. I want Touya to return to his family, but he's so burnt he probably needs Rewind to survive.
Quirk rebellion is interesting. AFO and Shiggy will lose their stolen quirks if they are able to break free from them.
I find Izuku's condition very sus. His hands are always covered with gloves, what if he has holes on them like his dad?
If Izuku has his own version of AFO, he might be able to borrow quirks from his classmates. OR he can fight in that mind dimension to set the stolen quirks free. Just like how Yoichi and Nana defied AFO.
Speaking of Nana, I wonder if she's related to Inko? They do look similar, and Nana being Izuku's grandma would make Shiggy his cousin. I hope Hori can give us Inko's backstory after the DFO reveal.

I cannot believe no one has made a resident evil 8 crossover with BNHA where Ethan becomes Midoriya. THE POTENTIAL!
Aizawa: Alright class, today you'll be learning how to stay calm in an emergency.
Ethan fucking Winters, who went up against god herself: (gun cock) Alright, which motherfucker am I shooting?

So I think the only way the Villain Izuku trope works is if he actually wants to be a hero?
Hear me out.
So if we're not changing Izuku's personality in any way, I think Izuku always wants to be a hero at the end of the day, like in a classical sense. After all, nobody thinks "hee hee I do villainy because I'm evil~" Sometimes people have goals that they can only accomplish through perceived villainy or crime. I think that most "villains" in the BHNA universe start out always trying to do some form of "good." They just get lost along the way.
For example, Toga wants a world where she can be free to be herself because society has rejected her. Stain believed that heroics for the sake of money and fame where an evil act in itself. Spinner has been a victim of racism his whole life. Shigaraki wants a world without heroes because hero society is oppressive, and he seeks freedom from that oppression. (These are very simplified explanations, but you get the picture)
I think that, in those ways, these "villains" are trying to save the day in their own way. If Izuku were brought up in circumstances where crime and villainy seemed to be the only way he could actually help people, why wouldn't he choose that path?
For example, vigilantism is considered a crime. But is criminal activity always "evil?" Stealing is a crime, but what if there's seemingly no other choice but to do it to survive?
TLDR; If villains are villainous because they're trying to accomplish their own greater good, are they not technically the heroes of their own world view?
Anyway, that's why I think Villain Izuku is possible in the right circumstances. And hey, anybody can grow up to be anything depending on what they experience.
But these are just my opinions ^.^'
what is evil other than one's own perception of good, blah blah blah

It’s funny looking back at the moment Tomura gets into USJ and Izuku’s narration box says “What the pros are up against is evil unleashed!!” like bro your future self is about to save that poor meow meow

Terror from the Deep
In one world, Izuku is left behind by his father and his uncle to hatch while they leave to play a new game, one undoubtedly dangerous to the world it’s in. In another world, Hisashi reuses some old puppets as company while he’s separated from his brother. - Tomura can’t remember his father, just the faint impression of a smile moments before terror. Yoichi Shigaraki was killed fourteen years ago by a sea monster so powerful that being in the very presence of it left Tomura permanently altered, and the trauma of the situation left him with gaps in his memory creating a blank slate for his early childhood. Since then, he’s been living with Uncle Hisashi, who’s held off on his revenge to take care of him. Now that he’s older, and with a new crew to back them up, Tomura and his Uncle are going to track down the monster and bring it to justice–along with the pirate who serves it. But…Tomura’s been getting horrific nightmares about something other than the sea monster, and he’s starting to suspect that there’s more to this than meets the eye. After all, his Uncle has more than a few suspicious habits.
This was inspired by The End of the Story by katydid; check them out!
Chapter 2 is now out!
