rewatching the umbrella academy and i still have so much joy about harlan. he’s so obviously autistic, even if it’s never said, and from his first appearance the first time i watched it it made me so unbelievably happy seeing someone like me, specifically someone like me a way that didn’t have all the undertones every other character i connect to has. this whole show is so dear to me and every character i relate to has so much significance to me in a way people do not understand. like, no one i’ve talked to has even considered harlan as important at all until s3 when he did something. but from his very first appearance as a little nonverbal kid in a pretty shitty situation i saw myself and it made me feel so accepted, seeing him be both hated for not being right but also seeing how sissy loved him regardless even when he was making things harder gave me hope that i can also be loved even when being myself makes things difficult. idk man it just. it hits different.

Something I've realised is that Viktor still doesn't fully trust his siblings. Which ultimately led to him hiding the truth about Harlan. Maybe we'll see him reaching out and trusting his siblings more in season 4.

Or maybe he feels more guilt about the apocalypses than he lets on. And because of that guilt, he feels responsible to fix it alone.

really love how both luther and deigo had the most strained relationship with viktor when the show started but in s3, deigo openly says how viktor is loved and accepted, getting up immediately with a yell when allison went too far and luther’s fretting about whether they should throw him a party, asking viktor to be his best man, viktor and luther hugging when luther comes back.
