ALRIGHT FOLKS!! After two whole years, I am proud to present to you:

Anyways!! Now that these are done, I can FINALLY start sculpting. Which means these bad boys are one step closer to being sold. I can’t wait!

why I love horror (or part of the reason, at least.)

queerness is inherent to the uniqueness of being a human. In the society that we live in today, things as absolutely normal as a black man and a white woman dating is considered “out of the norm”. Things as small and insignificant as a woman having a more dominant role in relationships is queer. Queerness is beautiful and it is everywhere.

Body horror (at lease my favorite movies) allows sexuality to be bent and warped. Videodrome, Society, sex is a construct. From an outside perspective, would heterosexual sex not be as strange as, say, the stomach slit from Videodrome? Is Julia, making out with a long dead (and now undead) Frank in Hellraiser, any less queer to the primary audience that Hollywood has been marketing to? Queerness is something inescapable and unknowable.

Queerness is a gorgeous and almost un-label able thing. To take a quote from the Jennifer’s body section of It Came from the Closet, “Kiss someone, fuck someone, think about fucking someone while kissing someone else. Let sex be unknowable, warm, thrilling, funny, erotic, terrifying; let sexuality be all strange currents and eddies and unknown vistas and treasures and teeth. Because, queer reader, when Jennifer’s body came for you- publicly, privately, neither, both- it was more than enough.” This section was about the ways that bisexual people (or any other types of queer person that aren’t only into one gender) are forced into boxes for no apparent reason, but I do believe that it is still applicable.

I’m not making this for any specific person, I don’t have a target audience in mind, I’m simply attempting to get my middle-of-the-night thoughts out there :) please, let me know if anything I said was incorrect, and if anyone would like to add their own experience, I would appreciate it greatly!

#I’d just like to add that this is from the perspective of a gay trans man #I realize that I didn’t touch too much on “queerness” (in the homosexual sense) directly #I apologize for this #but my sleep addled brain would only allow me this before it plunged me back into the black void of inescapable pergatory before sleep #have a good night!
