Secret Defenders #9-10:
Tom Grindberg inked by Don Hudson is one of the best penciller/inker team-ups ever. Together they made unique magic they never achieved apart. Here they draw Thunderstrike and War Machine in a team-up of 90's replacement heroes vs Nebula. It rules.

The Secret Defenders #3
"Makes you hate the whole blasted human race!"
Captured by the Zusommin.
There's a heck of a lot of standing around and talking in this dull comic. The heroes give up quite easily and are taken prisoner and everybody chats for a while. The dialogue is woeful. During the conversation, we get to hear the detailed backstory of the new villains. Elaborate nonsense, ever bit of it. Finally, the heroes hold hands and... win.
High word count meant this issue took almost twice as long to read as a typical comic. It wasn't enjoyable.
On Sale Date: March 9, 1993.
