There's a lot of new media I'm interested in that came out this week, and I'm not gonna get through it all. And that's ok.

I thought this scene in Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite was TOO funny to not draw, so I redrew this screenshot(right) of the movie!

finished season 1 of batman: the brave and the bold! ehhh, bit of a mixed bag. fun stuff from characters i already liked, but it was hard to care about ones i didnt know, like red tornado. not to mention yall know im not a fan of their writing for women. i liked all the golden age references, though. BEST EPISODES: terror on dinosaur island, fall of the blue beetle, the eyes of despero, menace of the conqueror caveman, the color of revenge, and mayhem of the music meister. hopes for next season: women save me. women. save me women

Anyone else get the feeling we’re doing a pendulum swing with DC at the moment? Like everything has been so overly edgy and dark and Batman vs Joker Batman vs Joker Batman vs Joker…
But now we’re getting Dawn of DC, the new(ish) Tomorrowverse movies plus James Gunn’s DC universe on the big screen, that all seem to gravitate towards more hopeful and uplifting ideals that also focus on a diverse range of characters. (That’s not to say that dark stories- or Batman focus stories- won’t still be made because let’s be real, those comics/movies sell)
But it’s honestly got me really excited for the future of DC and how this will change the super hero genre as a whole… maybe we’ll get something more akin to the silver age as opposed to the recent gritty and dark stories that have been popular.
