The Kane Chronicles was Rick Riordan's most seperate book series from his others. It's tied to Percy Jackson too, but in much subtler ways. Like how amos says the egyptians stick to Brooklyn, since Manhattan has "other problems…other gods". While the magnus chase books are more explicitly tied to pjo, the kane chronicles feels a lot more subtle about it. And I just find that interesting to note. Because it's more fun finding his small references to his other books in these ones.

Nick Fury being incredibly brave. And that's a new detail about him: he saw first-hand the japanese internment camps, and he refuses to repeat history's mistakes. Also, the McCarthyism metaphors are really unsubtle, I must say. (Avengers #92):

I need to get an allergy test again sometime soon, because my allergies are really bad and I need to figure them out. I'm still nervous about that though, because I vaguely remember it being uncomfortable years and years ago when I got my first allergy test. I remember feeling all sore and itchy from it. But considering I always feel like I have lots of phlegm in my throat, it may be good to get my allergies rechecked. Still incredibly nervous about it. Also nervous about getting bloodwork sometime soon (especially since I have an awful pain tolerance), but I could probably try and make the bloodwork thing it's own post later.

Yeah. That's probably the whole, honest truth. I want to say I'm more social on here than I am irl, but that's a low bar. Irl (unless I'm around my dad), my most social interaction is mumbling something at someone or saying basic pleasantries or one word answers. The fact that I do more than that on here is pretty good for me.

Personally, I'm blaming that social skills class where I have to call kids and have them call me for me being slightly more social nowadays. Maybe this account helps too. Idk. Possibly a bit of both.
