Common sense just isn’t that common.
I am the Assistant Director at a childcare center. I have been working in early childhood education since 2006. I thought I’d seen my share of crazy kids, parents and teachers. But since April of 2023 I have taken on the AD role and boy do I have my work cut out for me.
I don’t even know where to start. So far this week I’ve had to write up 4 teachers. Mostly for calling off and or coming in late. Another teacher sprained their ankle and then lied about having a doctors excuse from work. One teacher called in today because her cat had surgery and she had no one to watch him. This fine… oh and did I mention my Center Director is out all week with Whooping Cough…
Our AM school age teacher was off on Monday for her birthday. A younger student brought in a birthday present for her so we put it in the school age classroom thinking that it would be safe in there for her to find today. Well the PM school age teacher is the one who sprained her ankle. So she was not there Monday afternoon either. The teacher we had to put in the room is not new to these kids. She’s been with them before. But she decided to not only let them destroy the room and leave it a mess for the AM teacher to find but she believed the school agers when hey told her that the present was for one of them and they all ate the cookies that were in the gift bag for the teacher. She didn’t once think it would be a good idea to ask another adult about the gift bag. Or think to herself hey I don’t know where this came from so I’m not gonna let the kids touch it until I know for sure. Nope, this grown adult listened to a group of children’s lies. I just don’t even know anymore. Today was Halloween. It was absolutely insane. I’m sure there is more I could talk about but I just needed to get some of that off my chest.

there should be a sub genre of books that were originally written to comment on the evils of capitalism and how greed and wealth corrupts society as a whole and how those popular books were subsequently made into hollywood movies and were marketed in a way in order to mass produce as much merchandise as possible so the companies behind the movies can make as much money as possible and thus completely erasing the original meaning of that story while also unintentionally proving the point of the original novels themes

We threw our now 11 year old a birthday party today. He invited mostly friends from his current school but we were able to invite one of his old friends from his previous school before he came to live with us. The last time they hung out she came out to him as a lesbian. He also invited his ex girlfriend who is bisexual. Well those two girls hit it off pretty well and were hugging a lot and they exchanged phone numbers by the end of the party.

Sorry, not sorry to anyone that doesn’t want to see this, but I’m pretty frustrated with this return of RRP. No that is not a vagina. It’s vocal cords. Specifically the ones on the right are my vocal cords. I’m posting this to show people what normal vocal cords look like and what mine look like when I need to have a surgery. We tried the aggressive approach and it didn’t seem to work because it’s about 6 months later and back with vengeance. The bottom picture on the right is using a special light where you can actually see all the darker bluish spots are where the RRP virus is. This is why my voice sounds hoarse. This is why I feel like I’m constantly yelling and I can’t control the tone of my voice. I’m literally just trying to get the words to come out.

It’s our one year wedding anniversary and I’m still obsessed with this photo!❤️❤️❤️
I got married over the weekend. Because of covid we decided to have a small backyard wedding with a 30 people limit guest list. We decided to live stream the ceremony so our out of town friends and family could watch and see it happen.
I’m a daycare teacher and some of the families from my work expressed interest in viewing the ceremony too. I was a bit hesitant at first because I’m a lesbian, but decided that I should let them be able to view the ceremony too. They could make the judgment to let their kids watch or not.
One mom sent me this picture of her two boys, a (almost) 3 year old and a 5 year old, watching my wedding. I don’t know how to express how moving this photo is to me. I never in a million years thought I would ever see a picture of two very young children watching a gay wedding on their tv and just being so pure and loving. Let alone that it would be my wedding they were watching. But here it is. It’s simply beautiful.
