Boof. Hello. So this is a shot of the next suit in progress. I take these one at a time and disappear for months between, but at least that way there’s no waiting list when I open, haha.
This’ll become Mitrah! A deer/lizard hybrid. Specifics for this commission are the commissioner is requesting extra aeration to combat overheating. At this stage this weighs 7 ounces/ or less than half a pound. Ears and full horns to be added

Hi! I was wondering if you have an Instagram or Facebook to contact you! I would like a slot in the waiting list. I have a dinosaur head I would like made. :)
OOoh! Dinosaur head! Things are a bit everywhere, but contacting me on my main FA page- Firefeathers, might work best. It’s kinda a pain to switch accounts on there and i’ve found myself being occupied and busy on my main page with commissions.

Toony Tsavo suit! This rounds out our three styles we offer- Toony, Semi-toony and Realistic!
I used my Tsavo suit’s body to see if that works out, and I like the combo of cute and realistic in places. Making a pricing sheet soon!

Working on a Toony redo of my previous Tsavo suit! I still have to finish the neck and the ears but she’ll be ready for AC! This gives me a nice spectrum of possible styles :D

Full Tsavo suit, done in time for AC!
Everything’s foam- character is supposed to be an American Lioness (a prehistoric lion from the ice ages)

not entirely finished photo of my Tsavo hands. Tiny dew-claw thumb is going to make these things a pain to wear, but they work well with the rest of the getup
I’ll have full photos for AC!

So i’ve sold my previous Rei suit- I had so much fun in that suit, but I switched out fursonas to this happy gal, Tsavo, the American Lion(ess). HERE AT FIRE-WORKS, we strive for two things. Fun suits - and practicality. Resin blanks are great for holding shape, but they can be a ballache if you’re in them for ages. a 5 lb head seems like nothing the first twenty minutes but you feel it the day after. So this head here is entirely foam.
No bases, no blanks, built from scratch foam. As it stands, without a neck, it weighs just a bit over 12 ounces. 80% of that’s from the eyes and nose. The mouth doesn’t move, but the mouth is positioned right over my nose, so no hot air should be trapped in. Vision is great, hearing is great, i’m extremely excited to take this out once everything’s done. It’ll be more or less a full suit- but the character I’m referencing this from always wears hoodies, so I won’t have to build a full body suit- just a bottom half.
I have currently 4 resin blanks/ suits i bought heads of that need to be finished. After that I want to start taking commissions for building heads like this. Being able to sit and relax and sew and glue is such a de-stress from deadlines and painting, I enjoy making these a whole lot, and I enjoy making them look like the actual animal as close as I can. I think i’ll just specialize in making suits as wear-able as possible :D
