Here I am (as my alter-ego Boff Konkerz) hand-poking a moon onto a witch's forehead in France last year at Funhouse Tattoo and piercing in Metz.
Je reviens régulièrement à Metz. Envoyez-moi un message ici pour prendre rendez-vous.

While Ethel Granger was more famous for her tight-lacing, it's the pictures of her piercings that have always fascinated me the most. It's important to remember that she was rocking these piercings in England before anything other than a single ear piercing was virtually unheard of. Judging by Ethel's age in this picture I'd guess it's from the early 70's, but it could be earlier than that.

She wants to be velvet.
She's just a simple girl who dresses in black. She likes tattoos and horror movies and rock and roll and comics. She doesn’t want to leave anything behind, or take anything with her. She wants to enjoy the things she enjoys until she inevitably returns to the nothing from whence she came. She wants mystery. She wants things to be unclear. She doesn’t want to know what anyone’s gender or sexuality is. She doesn’t want a flag. She doesn’t want a parade. She wants bars and nightclubs and independent book and record stores. She wants to be surprised when she finds out someone has a tattoo. She wants to be surprised when she finds out someone sleeps with boys. She wants to be surprised when she find out someone sleeps with girls. She wants to avoid normal people, and for normal people to avoid the places she likes to go. She wants romance. She wants shadows. She wants a secret. She wants to find out a secret. She wants to share a secret. She wants to be underground. She wants to be velvet.
