‼️Please Read. After a discussion with my Cousin we decided to start up a pilot Soup kitchen in Al Hitana Omdurman serving lentil stew fortified with peanut butter to double the available calories in the stew as well as bread.

The kitchen has been running for 3 days now and has served on average 80 people a day, representing 80 households so potentially we’ve been helping 400 people a day.

Over 90% of those who have shown up to the kitchen over the past 3 days have been women and Children and for some it will be the only meal they get that day.

From tomorrow we’d like to scale up to making two 65 litre pots of stew a day which is 160 servings (households).

Currently we’ve purchased enough supplies to run the kitchen at full capacity for two weeks but we’d like to make this a permanent thing and that needs external support.

Look guys. I know ur sick of my shit. But we're in the endgame now lmao. Remaking this post on my father's request because we had a long talk about the blog, the help we've needed, what I'm willing to do versus what I'm embarrassed and mortified by as far as asking for help goes.

We still need help. I still need help to ensure I can keep this job.

I want to stop asking for help on here like for as long as humanly possible once there is money of my own in my pocket from the new job. Until then though, my father and I just barely escaped the hardest time of our lives poverty wise, both our savings liquidated, my account overdrawn. Carless for almost a year. But after all this time, my dad is in a newer vehicle and finally back home as he was staying out of town to commute to work, draining him financially as public transit and ride sharing has not been cheap where we are.

I'm just asking for help clearing overdraft fees and now I suppose getting to work the first week or two.

My goal is 220 now but I did use 40 dollars getting to 2 interviews this week

we still get immediately shoved out of our immersion in tv shows or films when The Girl find a dead body and immediately shrieks - we just don't find it realistic because we're pretty confident most people would gasp rather than shriek (i.e. sharp inhale rather than sharp exhale) and it also feels unnecessarily (and predictably) misogynistic too, as men encountering corpses almost never do the same on screen

@inkdrawndreamer He's extremely careful to not let anyone see him in a patient shirt! He doesn't want to add anymore fuel to those "Omg, he's crazy just like his uncle :oooo" rumors. The first time he wore that thing he probably couldn't even look himself in the mirror lol xDDDDDDDD But he got used to it. If he's just chilling at home in the shirt and he has to go somewhere he'll just put another shirt on top of it. Jonathan is going to be the first person to see him in a patient shirt, but I haven't planned that scene out yet. ALSO! I've headcanoned for a long time that Jonathan keeps all the Arkham clothes he breaks out in, because he's too poor to throw away perfectly fine clothes (plus those shirts are really soft and nice). So, like, I just think it's funny to imagine that Jerry goes to Jonathan's place and they start undressing and then it turns out they're both wearing their Arkham shirts again lol <3

But!!! Actually before I came up with this headcanon I wrote a shitty crack fic where Zsasz stole Jerry's clothes and keys and glasses right off him so he could impersonate him. Helena (my OC, she's a nurse) had to bring Jerry new clothes, but all they had were patient clothes. So he had to put them on and go get a new set of keys from the front desk, but some other Arkham nurses found him and thought he was a patient xDDDDD They took him to a patient room somewhere and met up with a doctor and they started ringing all the wards to ask are they missing a forty-something year-old patient who thinks he's Dr. Arkham, all the while Jerry is screaming his lungs out at them and having a bit of a breakdown, because this is his worst fear come true. The doctor keeps ringing the wards while the nurses prepare to give Jerry a sedative, because they're worried he'll hurt himself in his frenzy. They finally call Helena who says they don't have a patient like that, but Dr. Arkham himself has gone missing. Next scene had the doctor and Helena bursting into the patient room where the nurses are holding Jerry up against a wall and are just about to inject the sedative into his bare ass <3 The story ends at the rec room where Helena tells Jerry if he left the ward more often, the employees might learn to recognize his face.

I drew it into a comic, but I never posted it because the art sucked and then I deleted it lol.
