Cabinet Refurbisbment
I found this at the end of someone'a driveway while walking my dog. The garbage collectors left a rejection sticker on it because it was too heavy. So I decided to give it a new home.
Overall, it was in quite decent shape, but there were no interior shelves, 2 backs on it from when a hole was cut out of it, and several scrapes and scars. The main problem was it's size. It was 7ft tall and took two relatively strong people to move it. So I decided to perform surgery.
Over 1 foot of material was cut out of the bottom section making the cabinet now just shy of 6ft tall. This cutting process required sawing the whole thing into two pieces, which meant that I was able to reassemble it in such a way that the two sections can be taken apart with screws to be easily moved. I also added casters to the bottom so once it is inside, it can be easily wheeled around.
I had originally planned to paint a collage of Japanese woodblock print scenes on the doors and had them all set up for it, but decided against it. This is why there is a yellowish tint to the doors, its the layer of acryllic paint showing through.
The interior was constructed with the cutoffs of the surgery and a set of drawers taken in from the kitchen renovations at my grandparents house. They are around 50 years old and made by my great grandfather. The top shelf and drawers were lined with red felt, and the whole shelf section comes out for easier transport.
The exterior was finished with a mahogany gel stain so it matches all my other projects, and the door handles were spray painted gold. The cabinet now holds my library of art books and painting supplies.

The Mandalorian Collection
This is all the things I have made from the Disney+ show The Mandalorian. Everything was painted by me using brushes or an airbrush.
Mando's blaster is 3D printed from Thingiverse (link below).
The two Mandos are 1/12 scale Bandai kits. The Mando painted in the early season 1 style was really messed up by me. This used to be a silver Mando that I repainted and metallic paint does not like being primed over, hence the weird texture on his armor.
The Kuill and Blurrg were 3D printed. The files are fantastic but my type of printer, the plastic I used, and my figure painting skills were not up to the level I wanted. (Link below)
The ground for both displays were made by me out of insulation foam, sealed and painted. The drawer was designed and printed by me.
The Razor Crest is a 1/72 scale model from amt. I have to be honest, it was not a good build, but maybe working primarily with Bandai kits has spoiled me. I did paint the cockpit but the satin finish I used for the ship caused a fogging effect on the windows.

Dresser Refurbishment.
I found this dresser in someone's garbage pile while on one of my cycling outings and decided to give it a new home. After an initial sanding, I discovered that the dresser was made of various materials, and not all of it sanded well. So I decided to spray paint it a lovely dark green. Except the paint I bought was not a lovely dark green, so I stained over it. The drawer pulls and some coat hooks were spray painted gold.

Mary Cassatt's Summertime 1894
Oil on canvas, 18in x 24in
I'm not too happy with the faces, but I think it's the best I can do at my current skill level. I very rarely do any paintings with figures so this was outside my artisitc comfort zone. One day I may come back to this piece and rework the areas I don't like. But overall, I'm pleased with the painting.

My second furniture refinishing project is my grandparent's old coffee table. I do not know how old it is exactly but it is at least as old as me (25) because I would crawl under it and draw on the bottom as a child. It is not handmade, there is a sticker from a business on the bottom.

I dismantled the table and cleaned the hardware with a bath of coke zero. Stained with a mahogany gel stain and sealed with polyurethane.

This is my first proper attempt at furniture refinishing. It is a small table that I took in from my grandparents. I don't know how old it is but it may have been made by one of my family members, the inside of it is just a bit too "handmade" to look like a business produced it.
Because I am new to this, I did not take a proper before picture, but it did start out with all it's bits.

Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night 1889
Oil on canvas, 22in x 28in.
After looking at my painting I decided I wasnt happy with it and touched up areas all over the painting, resulting in a piece I am much happier with. Included is a picture of the actual painting, a before retouching, and a before everything.

Wooden plaque for the base. Scenery made with two chunks of branch coated in modge podge, insulation foam covered in plaster/paint/modge podge, sand, and some fake lichen from my local hobby store. Fish is made from air dry clay, armature wire, and aluminum foil. Fish was airbrushed, scenery was hand painted. Every was sealed in a satin finish, the eyes were brushed with gloss modge podge. The fish is mounted to the display with two brass rods so I can replace the fish when I improve my skills with clay.
