dad!Carlos Sainz x mom!Reader

Description: Your husband and your princesita's dad, Carlos.

After the last race, Carlos wanted to surprise his family. He came before the day he told you. Carlos slowly unlocked the living room to find you and your daughter sitting together. As soon as her eyes caught his sight, she jumped into his arms screaming, “Papa!” He took the toddler in his arms and wrapped his arms tightly around her. “Hey Cami, how are you, Mi Princesita?” He asks gently ruffling her hairs. He gently kisses her forehead as she giggles and replies, “I am very well, Papa,” her tiny hand reaching up to touch his face.

“How are you honey?” You ask.

He puts Camila down and takes your hand in his. He places a kiss on your knuckles and answers, “I am great, Senorita. How are you?”

“Fine.”

Carlos wraps an arm around your waist and places a sweet peck on your lip. “Oh, and one thing.” Camila’s face lit up with her typical excitement as she waited Carlos to continue.

“What?”

“Did you open the package?” I shook my head.

“Why?!”

“I thought it should be opened with you.”

“But it was for you!” He exclaimed.

“Oh, I didn’t knew.”

You placed the package on the coffee table. Camila immediately runs to it, her expression curious and waiting for what is inside. Carlos smiles and begins to cut the tapes on the package, carefully keeping Camila away from the blades.

Carlos smiles and stops for a moment while opening the package, he looks over at Camila and then turns his attention back to the present. He cuts the rest of the tape that keeps the box together and lifts the lid.

“What is it, Papa?” Camila asks.

"It's a special package with a very special surprise for mummy, princesita," he replies, grabbing Camila's hands and placing her on his lap.

Camila's eyes widen, her cheeks glowing with excitement as she looks down into the box. Carlos lifts the box a little more so that Camila can get a better look of what's inside, revealing a magnificent necklace inside. Camila immediately starts to smile widely, jumping up and down excitedly as she starts to clap her hands.

Carlos raises the box to show it to you. “It’s for you, mi reina.”

“It’s so beautiful Carlos.”

Camila smiles widely as she stares in awe at the sight of the necklace, her little hands reaching out towards it. Carlos chuckles softly and lifts her little hands up, allowing them to touch the shining necklace. Camila smiles and laughs excitedly, grabbing the necklace tightly and waving it around.

“Careful Camila! It’s jewellery, not a toy.”

Camila keeps giggling and continues to hold out the necklace towards her mother, wanting to share her joy with her, Carlos chuckles softly and says "Cami, you have to give this to mommy. It is a gift for her, okay?" he replies, smiling.

Carlos chuckles again, and turns to look at you, he smiles and says "See, now she wants to give it to you," he adds as Camila stretches her tiny arms out towards you. You take the necklace and place it back in the box.

"Thank you Carlos, it's such a wonderful gift," you said. "Anything for you, mi reina."

You ask Carlos, “You want to shower before we dine?” He nods and leave for bath.

Carlos takes a shower and then goes over to his closet to get dressed for dinner. He finally decides to put on a nice t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants to join you and Camila for dinner.

“I made some pasta carbonara.” You spoke.

“Oh really?” Camila’s face lit up with excitement. You serve her some and take some for yourself. Carlos also serve himself and three of you dine together.

"Can I tell you something?” Camila asks after dinner.

Carlos chuckles and says "Sure, what is it?" he replies, and Camila looks at you and him with a small smile, "Promise you won't get angry?" she asks.

“No, what happened?”

Camila smiles widely, "Remember that necklace that you had gotten earlier?" she asks, looking at him with bright-eyes, but before Carlos can reply, she continues to say, "It was a surprise, right?” Carlos nods.

Camila smiles excitedly as she continues to speak, "Well, I know that the necklace was for you and it was your present, but..."

“But?” You raised an eyebrow.

Camila continues her sentence, "Okay, but the thing is... I accidentally opened it... when you went for shower...yesterday" she says meekly, with a small blush on her face. You and Carlos shared a look. The package looked so intact and untouched when you took it out to open. Camila packed it back so well.

Camila looks at him with her big eyes with a slightly panicked expression on her face, she asks her dad, "Are you angry?"

“Mi Princesita, it was wrong.”

Camila looks down and starts to pout, "I know... but I-I wanted to see it," she says in a soft, low voice as she keeps looking down, not wanting to meet your eyes.

“But Cami, it is wrong to do so. You should have asked.”

Camila is silent for a moment before saying, "I know," she replies with a soft, sad look on her face, as she buries her face into Carlos’ neck, she sounds like she's about to cry, "I'm sorry...," she whispers.

Carlos chuckles softly as he hears Camila's words, he leans down and kisses her head, "It's alright, it's alright, I'm not angry, Cami," he says, cuddling her tightly.

“It’s okay Cami, we forgive you.” You spoke. "But promise me you won't do it again. You could get hurt."

Camila leaves Carlos’ arms and jumps into your arms, hugging you tightly. “I am sorry mamma, I promise you.” You gently run a hand over her back and say, “It’s okay.”

Camila buries her head further into you. You and Carlos look at each other and smile as you run a soothing hand on her back. “We forgive you Cami,” Carlos spoke.

“At least she was honest,” you slowly whispered to Carlos. He nods and smiles.

Camila pulls away and smiles at you, her big brown eyes staring at you.

She leaves your arms and rushes towards Carlos. He immediately engulfs his little princess in his arms. Camila buries her head into his neck and wraps her arms tightly around him.

"She starts crying so early," Carlos says to you and adds, "just like her mom."

"Hey!" you were offended and playfully smacked his arm.
