Then, try to limit your intake of processed foods, salt, and saturated and unhealthy fats. Finally, focus on getting the nutrients your body needs by eating a variety of nutrient-rich foods.
2. Get regular exercise:
Exercise helps your heart by making it stronger and more efficient. It also helps to lower your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
If you're not used to exercising, start slowly and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. And be sure to talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
3. Quit smoking:
