May I suggest (a shortened version of one of my most developed hcs): Zuko being sick and clingy and Sokka taking care of him super diligently. Staying nearby and bringing him food and water and more blankets (and his coat hehe) and anything else he needs.

Also Zuko refusing to take the medicine Sokka brings him "because it's gross" but actually it's because he's maybe not so secretly enjoying this and doesn't wanna get better yet

Eventually he realizes it's not fair to Sokka even though he doesn't mind at all and would do it forever, so he finally takes the meds and is on the mend.

But to make up for delaying it for so long he starts getting up to do things for himself and tells Sokka he doesn't have to worry about it anymore but Sokka's like "nonsense you're not all the way better yet, go back to bed and let me handle this"

Sokka trying to make soup at some point but he absolutely sucks at cooking (no idea if this checks out or not, he just has that vibe to me) so he asks Katara or Aang (or Iroh if he's around) for help. No one tells Zuko that Sokka didn't make it himself.

I feel like that's a weird place to end the hc but it's 4 in the morning and I don't know anymore lol. I hope it's coherent enough to understand 😂 I don't sleep anymore I just write this stuff

Also I have some drawings planned if I can find the time and motivation to actually make it happen. One of which is the scene I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about for no reason that made me realize I ship them!

This could literally be a whole fic and you know I would eat that up SO fast >>>

So here's one to start with, this isn't a big one but I think it's cute: imagine Sokka letting Zuko borrow his fluffy coat when it's cold bc Sokka is used to living where it's cold and Zuko isn't.

Bonus points for Katara then having to give Sokka her coat because she can use waterbending to regulate her body temperature (at least a little bit - it made more sense in my head).

And, extra bonus points for Sokka and Zuko being like heheh matching coats this is the best

MATCHING COATS AW okay thats so cute, it’d be like Zuko saying he’ll be fine and won’t pack a warmer coat with him because ”a master firebender will always stay warm you fool I don’t need it” and then cut to him freezing his ass off lmaoo

eeeeeeee I saw ur Zukka art, do u ship it bc apparently I do and I found this out by waking up in the middle of the night thinking of a lil scene I thought was cute and I've been writing hcs ever since. Anyway I was just wondering, if you do in fact ship it, if you'd mind me coming into your ask box sometimes to talk about it bc I'm dying keeping it all to myself and I don't have an AtLA side blog yet and for some reason I feel weird posting ship stuff on main without someone to talk about it with. Slowly starting to feel better, something happened with my family but I’ve been getting thru it, I’ve been drawing a lot just for my own comfort and I’m not sure how to handle anything yet.

I’ll start posting whenever and if I want to slowly again, just taking it easy for now

In other news, new url! (”samperinsamperi”—>”mountainshroom”) It was due time for me to change it to something that suits me a bit better, not sure what to do about my older drawings since they still have my old username but i mean. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it :)
