3 Year Redraw

A comparison of my very first drawing of Marty, and one of my first human drawings digitally, to where I'm at now!

April of 2021 I watched the Back to the Future franchise for the first time within one weekend. I absolutely loved it, but due to me being new to fan culture, I did not find anyone else to obsess over it with and it sadly fell dormant in my mind until September of 2023.

A couple days after watching the franchise for the first time I begun on an animation meme. It barely went anywhere before it was dropped. However I had no clue how to draw humans, as I focused only on dragons.

And so my very first drawing of Marty was born. I wouldn't draw him again until December of 2023.

I was extremely proud of him at the time. I thought he was adorable and most certainly my best work. (I'd only drawn probably 4 other humans digitally at this point though)

It's incredible to see how far I've come as an artist, especially when it comes to humans. I forgot about this drawing for a while and I just had to redraw it. A testament not only to my improvement, but when I first got introduced to Back to the Future, which is now one of my main fandoms.

I have ran this idea through my head countless times with countless scenarios. Honestly I've thought of all the McFlys meeting all of their alternate timeline selves. It's lots of fun. Maybe I'll one day write a fic with that concept rather than playing it in my mind.

Seems like everyone who talks about Twin Pines vs Lone Pine does so in the context of a possible Erased Marty. Personally, I think the two Georges should meet.

Hi everyone! I know I *just* did an AU chapter, but it was technically four chapters ago so.... It's not my fault this prompt was on day 8!

Anyways this is on the Seer AU by Imu. Absolutely love this AU, I couldn't help myself!

If you didn't know, this is an AU where after all of his time traveling, Marty gains the ability to see the future. Unfortunately the visions cause quite the headache, and he can see many different timelines and versions of the future.

Day 7: MerMarty AU

Marty squinted through the danky little telescope Doc had brought over. Well, danky to the astronomer that worked with much more complicated technology. But to the merman, it was revolutionary.

“They’re not just little specs!” Marty exclaims, eye stuck to the viewing glass. “And the moon, it’s so detailed!”

“Space is much more interesting once you can start to see it for what it is.” Doc explained with a smile.

“You're lucky. Getting to just watch the stars all night.”

“Well, it’s a little more complicated then that.” he chuckled. “But the basic foundation, yes. And I am pretty lucky.”

Once I saw Doc was an astronomer, I knew I had to do this!
