Are there Adrien Salt takes that you disagree with?

Since I know this is just a random anon ask that gets asked to every major blog, I’ll still answer it.

But yeah, most takes I already see as just overexaggerated and go along with the flow. It doesn’t really matter anyway, the whole point of reading a ml salt fic is because its exaggerated. I don’t read it because I 100% think Adrien or Alya would act either cruel/abusive to Marinette, I read it for exaggeration how far pettiness would go, what people write.

I don’t think Adrien would be abusive or stand by if Marinette was getting beaten up in certain fics, or stand by as the ‘class’ tear into Marinette’s sketchbook, he’s naïve but he wouldn’t stay put like that. And I do think the ‘high road advice’ would only go so far, if he really saw how bad it was affecting Marinette, for instance if the lies did get worse, I do think he would step in and tell everyone and he would apologise to Marinette for it. He’s naïve and too forgiving to everyone to not know when he’s getting walked all over, but I don’t think he’s as bad as some fics say.

I honestly really just want more from him and his character. Yes he can still be quiet and kind and happy as Adrien, coming out of his shell around his friends and clueless about social norms, and as Chat Noir he can still joke and be funny and a partner to Ladybug and vice versa, but I wanna see him be more than just the jokester, or just there for his Cataclysm, I want him to go on development that he can be more, to take the job of being the one of the only two heroes in Paris a little more seriously.

Like I do get that he’s meant for comic relief, but it only goes for so far cause it gets boring when he gets captured or hit by the Akuma for the umpteenth time, where it seems he always relies on the cure and Ladybug to save the day and think of himself as able to sacrifice himself because she can fix it. Its not a good mindset and if the writers could expand on that and actually have them as an equal Team it would be good, but they frame him as always being in the right and it does get annoying when he is pushy and sometimes unreliable in battles, when times have shown Ladybug could realistically do plans herself at points, they always tell us Chat is important to the Team but were always able to figure it out without him, and that kinda sucks cause it does seem he can be easily replaceable, and if he was just a bit more competent it would seem fair. Cause at the moment, if I was in the ml universe and I had to wait for either of the 2 heroes to save me from being turned to stone or flattened, I’d really hope Ladybug would come get me cause I’d have far more faith in her.

Anyway sorry for the rant and slight change of topic, I guess I got a bit side tracked. But honestly yeah, him being either abusive, mean, possessive, and insistent that he’s right are takes I don’t think are him but won’t stop reading if they are in a fic cause I already have all their personalities exaggerated anyway. And I think if he saw how he was either hurting Ladybug or Marinette he would feel so bad and try and make it up to them.

13 ~ Looking For Trouble? Part 2

I was tempted to name this ‘Then Make It Double Part 2’ but I didn’t want people to accidently get confused, however I might make it another title for a later fic chapter.

So, I’ve been drawing so much, and I’ve noticed just how different my art style can be from just a few months, I’m so happy I’ve improved so much in just a short time.

I’m excited for the next chapter, I kinda wanted to start working on that one because I was just so excited, but I didn’t so I hope you’ll enjoy.

His eyes opened.

He could truly see what his surroundings were- he could see just what he was running towards.

And he could see why that voice shouted his name like that.

Now it was screaming, so loudly he had to cover his ears.

Strong vines wrapped around his body, no matter how much he struggled he couldn’t wriggle out, to free himself from this madness.

It didn’t matter that he was also processing just what was going on, his mind could only tell him to escape as fast as he could.

But he was stuck- he was being dragged further and further into this- thing! This thing that pretended to be his-

It was all… Fake?

She wasn’t really there?

Despair was creeping up on him, he was so foolish to believe the fantasies of his mind- and after everything that his Father had told him.

How would he feel if he got caught up in this fake mess?

Thousands of thoughts were swirling around his mind so fast he couldn’t make out the words of this random voice from above.

“Hey… -ear me? …ix -old o-” He felt the vines loosen before he was pulled out and moving away from that chaotic scene.

Now normally Félix hated being touched without his consent, but considering what his fate would’ve been like if he wasn’t grabbed, he’d let it slide just this once.

He felt the person hold him around his waist as they glided through the trees, now he could get a glance at just who his supposed saviour was.

They wore an artic blue/navy blue dress with blue leggings, he supposed that did seem like what the heroes wore, he never really paid attention to them either.

But then- how did she know he was here?

Was- was she looking out for him?

“Ok, I think we’ll be safe here for a bit. Are you ok? It didn’t hurt you, right?” Her pandering was somewhat unnerving, how could she be so calm in this- this hell!?

I have no idea how long I want this to be, but I doubt it will be too long, so maaaaybe 15 chapters? But I’m super glad that this has gotten more attention than I thought it would have.

Might need to point out that I only said there weren’t any Miraculous here, but heroes still exist, but they all hide their identities (from the public because I think it’s stupid for random civilians to know your identity) if they chose to or they only tell families.

That information wasn’t available then, and unless it fits into my story or I like it, I won’t include it in my story. Alarms were annoying. Why had someone decided to invent a device that makes you feel guilty for sleeping in? Why not just be a gentle reminder in the form of a lullaby? Or a small caress of a hand brushing some hair, as you simply start to close your eyes, drifting of-

“Marinette you’ll be late for school again!”

She groaned.

So that was why.

Getting dressed she sighed knowing what the day would hold. Glares, being alone, eat, hopefully become nothing but invisible and make sure to go unnoticed before rushing back home.

For the past three years, this is what would happen to her. This same boring, frighteningly normal routine.

And she hated it.

Not just for being alone, or all of the sadness she felt grow each day to a meter she wasn’t sure what level she was on now but whatever. It wasn’t going down any time soon.

No, what she hated the most…

Was the boredom.

Ok so unpopular opinion, but I actually liked the braid that they gave her, and I've never seen anyone change it so it wouldn't be as accessable.

Also I don't think it would've been so much as a target since if shes so powerful, she’ll just dodge, like most anime characters with long hair do.

But oh well, I also changed her eyes, because I think everyone changed it to blue accents and blue line around the costume.

Miraculess Ladybug Salt AU: You Always Liked To Play With Fire ~ The Prologue

Hey everyone, this is a new story I wanted to introduce to you all.

I’ve been putting everything in a massive word doc because I had so many ideas and finally settled on putting it out today because it's my birthday. 29th, I may have updated it late.

Yay.

So as a special treat, here’s a new series with a few original characters, ones you know or have been changed ever so slightly to fit, in a Miraculess world. (haha, you see what I did there? No… I’ll leave)

Also for anyone new, I’m a multi-shipper so I ship my characters with a bunch of other people, as I like Lukanette (Fandom Version), Daminette (Fandom Version), Felinette (PV Fandom Version), Marichat (Fandom Version) and I guess Rosannette. What’s Rosannette? Well, I guess you’ll have to find out, won’t you? (also no that’s not a typo, it is Rosannette)

Also, I guess this will just have the usual salt, maybe more, I don’t know. I kinda want it to just be about these two.

Note: I haven’t tagged anyone just in case, this is a different series from my other, I just got really excited and wanted to write it. If you still wish to be tagged for this story please say and specify.

Memories, it's such a simple word yet it holds so much meaning. One could either wish to forget everything from their life, and simply move forward so they could pursue their dreams. Or, simply relish in the past when they remembered how great it was, all the friends they had made, all the moments they had which were too good to let go.

But, I guess sometimes, you did have to let go. But let go of what exactly? Let go of all the happiness once you knew how it would end? No that would be too harsh and you’d turn bitter. Let go of all the sadness? But, wasn’t it an important life lesson to learn, sometimes, you just have to be sad because of the situation at hand. No amount of croissants or macarons would be able to lift your spirits back.

Or maybe that was too much of a specific example.

That was what Marinette had thought, staring at an empty glass so intently the man behind made himself disperse from the amount of time the unblinking woman just stared and never flinched.

She guessed it hadn’t all been bad, she at least had some form of happiness before it was violently ripped away, but part of her wondered, what would’ve happened if she never felt that type of happiness before? Would she have felt like she had for so long, was it the fact that she knew what being happy was like before worse? Because, as depressing as it sounded, if she hadn’t been as happy, would she have been as upset?

But like seriously, though. I can never see any actual criticism of the show these days, because the ml salt is filled to the brim with people complaining — “anti-salters” (who, fun fact, don’t actually exist!) whine about “toxic salters” who are, more often than not, literally anyone who has a complaint about ML. Of course, there are a few absolute lunatics who definitely need to be complained about more (rjalker, plaggandadrienbondingisthebest), but most of us are literally minding our own business until we’re provoked, which is constantly.

I’ve been watching Miraculous Ladybug for a long time. I loved it for years. And when I realised exactly how bad it was, when I saw what the creator was saying on Twitter, when I started looking at it closer? It was devastating. I adored this show, I really did, and having all its imperfections and toxicity lay bare before me was hard. Now, interacting with it critically, picking it apart, now matter how long it takes me, is how I enjoy it, it’s how I like to interact with it, and it wouldn’t be nearly as fun for me otherwise. Most salters do not watch this show with pure hatred in mind — we can enjoy certain elements or characters, or we can enjoy dissecting the writing, or we can interact with it in any numbers of ways, and even if we do dislike it, we clearly don’t despise it, otherwise we would not be watching it. We have critical thinking, we’re not a mob who blindly follows a hate train.

Just leave us alone, please. You can be mad if someone is coming into your spaces with hatred. You can be mad if someone provokes you first. But if you’re the one doing the provoking? If you’re the one mistagging, if you’re the one attacking, if you’re the one doing the actions you claim others are doing? Consider why you get mad at others for doing something you’re also doing.

For anyone having trouble reading this I’ve wrote it out again. If you still have trouble reading this please let me know what I can change so its easier.

(Start: Caption 1: SMALL ANNOUNCMENT Caption 2: Oh? Hi there. Sorry I haven't been around lately, I've been busy. Caption 3: However there is a reason as to why. I’ve made this, and there is an announcement I've wanted to make for a while but I was busy and I couldn’t really find the write words so, depending on whether you see this as good news or bad news, please read all of the comic before deciding. Caption 4: First things first, I just need to get this out of the way. I’m stopping Miraculous Ladybug Salt AU: Enter The Redheaded Heroine. Caption 5: Wait, before you say anything at all, please just let me explain. Caption 6: As I’ve been making my series I’ve kinda regretted some of the chapters I made or the decision characters took/how out of character they all were, and while I don’t like the direction of the show as much, I felt as if I was talking more of the ML’s salty personality than what they would actually do, and while I wanted my story to be different, it didn’t really feel like that. That and the number of mistakes and the dialogue is kinda making me cringe a bit, it seemed too quick and nothing felt as if it had any weight to it. Caption 7: But to all the people that did love my story I just wanna say thank you so much, it makes me so happy that people are eager to read my stories, like them, reblog them and comment on them, please know that I love it when I look at my notifications and find I have notes on my works, it's really appreciated. Caption 8: Side note: For anyone wondering about my other series, You Always Liked To Play With Fire, please don’t fret, I won’t be stopping that Salt Series as I’ve already planned out the whole season and I won’t be changing that, plus I try to update it whenever I’m feeling extra salty. Caption 9: However, that’s not to say that I’m stopping it altogether. What I actually had in mind was a… Caption 10: REVAMP! Caption 11: It's literally going to try and be the same story but with maybe a few plot points that will be a bit more consistent/characters trying to stay in character. The premise is gonna try to be the same, just maybe in better detail or something. Caption 12: And that’s why I haven’t updated anything in so long, I’ve been trying to plot more points down, rewriting my story, having a better under-standing of my character as well as other characters and some of my art skills all before trying to upload the first revamped fanfic. Caption 13: Oh, and if anyone's worried about me deleting the original series, please don’t worry, I’m gonna keep it up, after all, the Salt SongFic fits with that world, and so many people loved that, plus I can’t bear to take it down after how much positivity I had from it. Caption 15: So hopefully when I upload the prologue, I should’ve already rewritten the other fics as well so I could actually have something consistent for a few weeks. So yeah guys, very sorry if you did like the salt side of this, but I personally thought I didn’t have many consistent characters in it, or a planned out story, which is why I wanted a rewrite. Also updates are gonna be slow cause I’m starting my next year of uni so it’ll be a while till I can upload (considering I want to rewrite all 13 chapters before posting the first one) I’m sorry but if you want to wait or even ask questions feel free.

Also, what you need to know is that I will be moving the ReVamp to my other side blog, that way it can be a lot more focus on that one story while my other salty ones remain here. So anything remotely related to this new series can be asked there while questions about my YALTPWF series can be here.
